I used this product on my chest and torso. I’ve waxed before with similar products but the store ran out of what I normally use so I bought this. First of all, the instructions are very unclear. It tells me to microwave the cup of wax for 30 seconds. Is this with the lid on or off? What about the seal under the lid? I’m supposed to wait for it to cool down. How long is that for? The popsicle sticks make it hard to control where I want to wax too. Other products have a “stylist” for waxing. The wax itself is very bad. I understand that it’s supposed to be sticky but this was unreasonably so. I thought since it being so sticky that it would pull hairs well. It does not. I do have thick and deep hairs, but out of 10 it would only pull 1. Not only that but the wax pulled off the first layer of skin on a few spots on my chest. On top of that the wax is incredibly annoying to clean off the skin, as it does not stay and pull off at once. Because of that I have to scrub hard on irritated or lack of skin to get the wax off. The product comes with a tiny bottle of oil to help clean off the wax. It doesn’t help at all. And if it did it wouldn’t be enough. Initially, I wasn’t inlove with this product. It was sticky and I didn’t know how to handle the mess. It requires time and patience. Firstly, purchase a bottle of jojoba oil. Rub it onto your hands before beginning. Take your time throughout the process. Don’t worry about the mess (because the jojoba oil will remove the stickiness from your bathroom). After a while, you’ll know how to contain the mess by using thin layers and small amounts of the product at a time. This product is perfect for coarse hair. I’ve used it all over including, armpit, bikini area and legs. It will remove all the hair efficiently. This wax is dangerously good, like it's dangerous but it's also very good. THIS WAX IS NOT A BEGINNER PRODUCT. (I was introduced to hard wax from getting waxed professionally.) This was my first time using hard wax and I had to try it a couple times before getting the hang of it. But I'd seen/had it done before in person and I knew not to put boiling hot wax on my skin. Now it's way quicker, more effective, and more versatile than honey was, which sometimes doesn't stick depending on your skin–i.e. oily, sweaty, hormones, etc. The key is temperature–too hot and you burn yourself, too cold and it is a sticky the mess that ironically doesn't grab very well–and thickness of the strip–if it's too thin the wax will become one with your skin and be very difficult to remove, and if it's too thick it's wastes a lot and may not grab very well. It's basically hot glue for your skin. Literally if you've ever crafted or used a glue gun, the wax acts just like hot glue. It's also more high maintenance that honey wax because the metal container can't be heated in the microwave and you have to buy the wax dissolver/remover product separately. This is an amazing wax, especially for Brazilians! The negative comments are clearly made by people who have no idea what they are doing, or the patience to learn. Your not going to nail it like a salon the first time you do it yourself! You'll quickly learn what consistency you need and the best way to apply everyone is different. It has a good timeframe for workability, so your leaving it on entirely too long if it's breaking apart, slowly pull it, if it stretches easily or has liquify spots you can see or feel let it sit a few seconds longer. Do t wait till it's cooled all the way of your going to cuss yourself picking and ripping every little piece of hair off at that point. I can wholeheartedly classify this as the worst hard wax I think I've ever tried, I've never been a huge fan of GiGi but at least their other waxes can be pretty usable meanwhile this stuff is a hot mess. I'm glad I used this on my legs instead of around my pubic area. My main complaint is that no matter how thick or thin you make your strips, no matter how wide or narrow, it never rips off in one piece and I ended up getting a bunch of the wax stuck to my skin that I needed to go back and clean up. This usually can happen but it was always big pieces. I even used the pre hon and prep oil for hard wax before I started waxing and it didn't seem to help. The sad thing is I've been professionally trained to wax so I know I'm not just applying it wrong. The formula just sucks. I will also add that it smells pretty bad in my opinion, its like if someone wanted to make wet cardboard smell faintly of mint. I've never hated a wax so much, can't recommend.Skittles
This was my first time ever using hard wax so take this review with a grain of salt, because my lack of experience definitely contributed to this. But I would 100% say DO NOT buy this if you are looking for something to use on your legs or other large areas. Only buy this if you want to use it on your face, underarms, bikini line, etc. There is simply not enough wax for your legs, as I found out about half way through one leg. I only ended up being able to (somewhat) wax both of my calves and underarms before I was completely out of wax. Before I started, I watched video after video about prep and application, so I thought I was prepared. But when used on my legs, the wax broke off into pieces every single time. This left me with a LOT of hair still on my legs, and most of the hair that was taken off was just broken and not pulled from the root (you might as well shave). It was very effective on my underarms though which is why I think small areas are best because (A) you will have enough wax, and (B) the temperature will keep for long enough to wax a small area. Its very difficult to get the right temperature and consistency with the wax because you're heating it in a microwave. Another thing is that the Wax Off cream didn't work on me at all. But if you use any sort of oil you should be able to scrape off any excess wax stuck to your skin. So overall, it's ok – but for small areas ONLY.MW
I honestly don't know what I expected. It was extremely painful, more than any other waxing I've had before. There's also a specific time frame that you have to take off the wax and if it is exceeded, the wax isn't coming off. So, basically, don't waste the time and energy purchasing this product.AD

Made my 2a frizzy, bleached and dyed and often heat-treated, hair look shinier and healthier by flattening my copious flyaways (does not look greasy, and *not at all* stiff) while adding subtle moisture protection to where I've been getting a lot of breakage. I am so happy I found this! My flyaways have been visible in nearly every photo since highschool, and my bottom "floof" is pretty rough, but there's such a big, low-maintenance difference with this. I've been purchasing this product for over 2 years now; it works on all textures of hair. Depending on how much Wax you apply, the product will hold down your baby hairs throughout the whole day. I suggest purchasing hair gel (Coconut Ego Styler), in combination with the 'Red One Edge Control', as it provides a maximum hold on your hair. Also, wrapping your hair in a Silk Head Scarf or a Durag for 10 minutes after styling, will help keep your hair into place. The delivery process took between 2 weeks due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Before starting laser ( which now requires me to shave) I had the complete at home waxing kits that you often see in salons. I don’t have corse or thick hair but I have tried many different types of Gigi waxes. The the cream wax is the best one I’ve used in myself and my friends who have thicker more corse hair. What I like about the creme wax in comparison to the the regular Gigi ones is that it’s made for sensitive skin and leaves your skin feeling softer after removing the wax strip. I oddly find the creme wax gives me less pain than the regular wax. I’m not sure if it’s the consistency or formula but I did a thorough comparison of the creme and the hard wax on both legs and both of my arms to see the difference. They both removed the hair the same but the creme wax was definitely gentler on my skin, less painful and left my skin feeling softer. I would highly recommend it for at home waxers!aatika.b
I have had sensitive skin for many years, and recently have developed a sensitivity to traditional waxes made from pine/tree products. I would visit traditional salons and end up with very red, inflamed, itchy skin in my brazilian area that was just a nightmare to deal with. I narrowed it down to the Rosin/Glyceryl rosinate that is in most waxes that was causing my reactions. I picked this up because it has neither rosin nor glyceryl rosinate. I now do my own brazilians at home and this stuff works very well on my coarse hair. Of course there is the odd hair left behind due to me being in weird positions to rip the strip off, and I find that the hairs that do not come off with this wax are incredibly stubborn hairs that I even have to yank out with tweezers. Of all the waxes I've tried this is the best for my hair. I don't get a reaction, I don't have any inflammation aside from post-epilatory redness and pain, and I am not left with itchy skin. This is a SOFT WAX that requires a STRIP. I've seen comments of people waiting for it to harden, but this is NOT a hard wax. This wax is also very easy to clean off hard surfaces if you use baby oil (that's also how you get this stuff off your skin after your wax).
So this is definitely a great product to use if you have any sort of extra hair growth. It's sensitive enough for your face. This product applies easily but does take a while to warm up in any sort of warmer. I definitely recommend wearing some sort of rubber glove because it'll be easier to rip the wax off of your skin. The wax does tend to be slightly gooey so you need to make sure that it's left on long enough. There is some stretch to it while peeling the wax off of your skin so that's why I would recommend wearing gloves because it will definitely stick your hands and your fingernails and be very hard to remove. But as far as sensitivity goes this is a great product overall!tania.m

My boyfriend and I got bored today and we decided that he could wax my legs and I could wax his back since we both hadn’t shaved in awhile. I literally haven’t laughed this hard… ever. If I could post the video on here, I would. Honestly a great idea for bored couples needing something new to spend time together. I watched some YouTube reviews after I bought it and they all said it sucked and it didn’t work and LET ME TELL YA those people are big fat liars. You stick that puppy on there and leave it for about thirty seconds and then yank it off and ALL that hair is gone. We only had two problems the whole time. 1) He pulled too much at an angle one time and it ripped so he had to do it again (ouch). And 2) Idk if you can pull it too fast but one time the strip came off and the wax didn’t. The wipes are amazing though. They’re super slick and oily and with the tiniest bit of pressure that stuff comes right off. Highly recommend a cold wet washcloth to place on the area after you rip it. Anyways I’d give these bad boys an 8/10 for functionality and 10/10 for entertainment.Madeline
Very disappointing. The packaging and color is super cute but the results were not. I usually get Clean Easy wax strips but since I couldn't find any, I bought these. I cleaned my armpit with toner and added talcum to ensure drieness and I popped it on. It only caught one hair and was the wax is too soft and wet for my taste. Then the wipes are drenched in a oil, which was nice I guess but it leaves your fingers and hand all oily. Had to wash my hands twice because after the first strip, I wouldn't be able to pull the next one since it was slippery. Also I couldn't rip "too fast" otherwise paper you're holding rips off. Only thing that I liked was the color and the scent.Natalie
These wax strips are the worst. They smell like grape cough syrup, and have a jelly like texture to them instead of a hard wax. They dont do a good job of ripping the hair out, maybe 1/3 of the hairs under the strip come out, most of them just get broken off at the skin or aren't affected at all. Yes I was using them correctly. This is not my first time waxing at home, I read all the instructions, and even after using them correctly they didnt work anywhere near as well as any other wax strip. They're all garbage. So now the hair will grow back unevenly where some were broken off while others were successfully pulled out. Don't buy this product.Krista

I've been using this product as my last step with curling my hair. I take the smallest amount on my finger tip, work it in to my other fingertips and just tame any fly aways throughout my hair and it makes my curls look so sleek without weighing it down or losing the curl. This tin fits perfectly inside my and both are small enough to store easily. I'm by no means a professional but wanted to learn how to wax at home to save some money. This wax works great! I did my lower legs a few times to get the hang of things and then got brave enough to do my own Brazilians. It removes hair and not skin, and does a good job so I don't have to repeat anything over the same area. The results leave my skin buttery smooth. I have never tried waxing beads before and had been researching a few other companies who had wax beads before settling with this brand. I have used this 4 times since I purchased this and the results are brilliant and there is little to no trauma left on the client's skin. I recently started waxing my underarms and was told by my MUA that this brand is really good and she wasn't kidding. It's very similar to the beads used at European Wax Center (EWC). This wax has a really unpleasant scent! It removes facial hair alright but definitely leaves quite a bit of hair behind which will take a lot of time plucking. I do have very sensitive skin and I'm allergic to some waxes. This one hasn't flared me out bad yet. So it's pretty good for sensitive skin. You do need to buy wooden spatulas to spread it obviously. Sometimes it takes out hair, sometimes it doesn't. I feel that you need to wait for it to be a bit longer, maybe about 3/4 weeks depending on how fast or slow your hair grows. And it does come with an oil which I don't really like. I prefer to use cold water and then aloe post waxing. It's alright but im sure there are better wax kits out there.elizabeth.a

I ordered the Microwaveable Warm Wax by Parissa and followed all the directions when using it. I tested it 24 hours ahead of time on my thigh and didn't really have any issue with it. But today I used it on my legs and it was one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had. First of all, it barley worked. It took off hair in patches and not all of it that I put wax on, so it pretty much looked the same as it did before i used the wax. Meaning I would've had to go over it twice, but I was too afraid it would rip my flesh off. Secondly, my skin is red. Not a pale pink color, but red. And this may be expected after waxing but this seems worse. There are little red dots all over my legs and bumps going down my legs. So now, my legs are still hairy, and now very red! This product did not work at all, I am in pain and I am afraid to leave my bedroom because of how horrible my legs look. I would attach a photo but I am too embarrassed about how my legs look. I bought this for 1/3 of the price compared to Bliss azulene waxing kit. I was able to use a few tablespoons to heat vs a whole container of wax. Note- use on the stove in a double boiler. Do not microwave in a plastic cup etc. gets way too hot. The blue azulene wax works the best for me, much better than the honey type waxes. Better and no strips to buy. Good on coarser hair also. I don’t do many reviews but this product was worth a good review to share. Highly recommended
I was skeptical of using this type of wax, as I had never used hard wax before. Always the soft wax with strips. Let me just say it takes some getting use to, but not too bad. I gave myself a bikini/Brazilian wax once with the soft wax and sorry for the TMI, but right above my cl*it I had a tuft of hair that I could not get, ended up with a landing strip, as I coudn't get the hair off as the soft wax I was using was just not made for that. When I bought this and did the bikini/Brazilian NO LIE this stuff got the tuft of HAIR!!! AMAZING!!! I could see the roots on all the hairs that got pulled out! I wish they made bigger bags! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
I got spoiled by using this wax first. I got a couple of others to try formulas, and this is hands down the best there is. A thin coat is all that's necessary. Hardens quickly, and stays in one solid piece. Does not crumble or break apart. Does not reheat when in contact with skin. Soothing formula for my very sensitive skin – even used it on my face. I'm listing things I hate about the others now that I've used this! So easy to work with. Melts quickly and evenly, and it's a SUPER PRETTY deep blue pearl hue. I absolutely love this wax. I wish I hadn't bought the hard wax that's a different formula. This is the best! I'm buying more! Stock up on this one, especially when it's on sale!

It's a bit messy. BUT I have thick leg hair. Like thick. When I do soft or hard wax. I have to go over 2-3x times for all my hair to remove. But with this was it was just one swipe. Like twice that happen 2 times. I was so impressed. I did let it sit in hot water for a bit. But this is amazing!! Once you really know how to use it. And the wax that stayed on the cotton can be used again and again! Best purchase. It wasn't painful at all!!Ihtzy
In my 30's I decided I needed rid myself of dark hair on arms. two applications and product worked great. I expected it would grow back. 55 years old now and never had a hair issue on my arms. Smooth as a babies bottom. I never tried warming it up and just spread it on thick! Was sticky but guess that is why it grabbed those hairs so well.Marie
I have shaved, waxed and epililiated for many years. However I had never used Nads. On a whim I tried on my legs, bikini line and armpits. I have thick, dense, dark hair with fast regrowth. The biggest shock to me was how comfortable this is to use! The gel is not like wax that rips hair and skin, instead it only rips out the hair and is gentle on skin! The cotton strips are washable and reusable, so I can collect more with each purchase to aid in doing larger surface areas (I find once I use a strip to remove hair it doesn't work on the next area, so I have to use a new strip for every section of hair). Also love than any stickiness or mess is easily removed with water. Also a tip: place in a shallow bowl of warm water to help wax spread if the temp is cold in your house and gel is too solid!Jess

I bought this item based on the good reviews; however, I found that it was a waste of money. The item was not cheap and, certainly, not worth the amount I paid for it. Although the wax got warm enough to stir, it was so thick it was almost impossible to use. I even had a warming plate that should have made it easier for the wax to melt and use. I don't know if the wax was old or it is just a bad product. I will gladly pay for a salon to do an eyebrow was over this $19.00 purchase.CCDB
