It doesn’t have a significant amount of alcohol, yet its moisturizing effect wears off. Therefore, it cannot be my “go to” for my winter scalp. I don’t like the idea of having to constantly reapply between washes. It’s great on natural 4C hair, but not moisturizing enough for dry winter scalp.

The shape of the bottle is just so convenient, you can store this so easy in a cabinet without it falling over or taking up a crazy amount of space. The cap is easy to open to access the shampoo in the shower. Now the inside. When you open the bottle and take that first sniff you will be in love with the smell. It is just the right amount of vanilla bean to make this perfect and not overwhelming. The consistancy of the shampoo is also perfect, a little goes a long way. It lathers amazing and so smooth. It also rinces easy out of my hair and my hair really does feel clean once it is rinced and doesn't feel like there is any residue or product left in my hair. Once my hair is dry I do see that my frizz has been tamed and my hair is nice and soft. I chose to try this product as I've always liked how well Carol's Daughter products work in my hair. I have a range of different curl patterns on my head, ranging from 3a-c, and this really helped defined each and every curl with applications per part and even with finger coiling. However, when using in conjunction with either the Coil Enhancing Moisture Butter or the Detangling gel-to-cream, the product tends to flake. If I use alone with the butter, it only will flake a little (mostly around my finger coils) but definitely a lot when fluffing or stretching my curls. It's unfortunate because I do love how moisturized it keeps my hair and maintains definition even up to day 3. If using alone in hair (or maybe with different product pairing), this might be a great light gel for soft yet defined, bouncy curls.Julie
I was so excited to try this product. I read the label; the ingredients. I thought, "Great!" Nope. This product is horrible. First, I didn't realize the hair has to be wet or damp to use it. I was looking for something that could be used without being wet or damp. However, I use it as directed. So disappointing. I have long, loose curls that turn more into waves the longer I go in between washes. Before I was a mom, I maintained my hair by combing/washing every other day. The first time I used it the instructions said to apply "generously" of course when I realised how thick and creamy it was I decided to ignore this and apply a little more than I would normally but not by much. I noticed when I ran my hands under tap that the greasy feel came away before I'd even used soap! So, the second time I used it I applied it liberally. I have long hair and used as directed this time. By the time it dried I was very surprised that it gave weight to my fine hair and made it bouncy! So I highly recommend this product. I bought this gel almost a year ago. I just started recently using it since I've cut my hair 3 weeks ago. It's in a pixie cut. This gel has helped with the wet and wavy look as my hair is cut low in the back and sides. I am still getting the hang of .3 curling iron. Hello! I usually use a combination of Mielle products for my granddaughter but this time I decided on Moisture RX products only due to being the change of seasons and her hair being a little more dry than normal. I received the Cantu 100% pure hemp seed oil moisturizer as a review promotion. This stuff is great for my skin but I have not tried it in my hair yet. Right on the front of the container it says that it is for head to toe moisture and also contains shea butter and coconut oil. I have very dry feet and hands so when I put this moisturizer on my skin, it makes my skin look so soft and smooth. It has a thick consistency and does not have a harsh, strong smell to it. My skin does not feel oily and slick after I use it either. I do have very dry hair but as a white girl, with oily hair, I have to watch the products I use. My hair is very dry from years of coloring it so I have been trying to find products that help with this so I think I will do some research on how to use this in my hair and will do another review on how it does in my hair.ddsmommy83
Love the quality and texture of this cocoa butter. A little goes a long way and it keeps the skin moisturised all day. It does have a slightly greasy finish but it’s not too much and is expected with this raw blend. I had a patch of dry skin and this helped it with just one use. I love it! It's one of the only things that help keep my 8 month moisturized without breaking her out. I own all three types. The mango butter goes on smooth with little to no fragence nice shine a little sticky but once your skin absorbs it it's perfect. The cocoa butter smells amazing very nutty. It tends to be gritty when applied, but once you warm it up in your hands it melts smoothly. It's also a bit oily so a little goes a long way. It's also thins out like coconut oil. The tea tree smells just like tea tree very similar texture to the cocoa butter one. If you are looking for a thicker consistency try the mango butter one. I have used all three on my family's hair and skin, we all have different hair textures and skin types I use this on everyone boy,girl and baby it's us all. I was sent this product by SpaceNK to trial at home and review. Though I love the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (and the probably infamous caramel-y scent), having previously tried samples of the shampoo and conditioner, I'm really not a fan of the hair care range. I have fine, flyaway, naturally wavy hair which is frizzy and can be prone to kinks and other unpredictable behaviour. I was concerned that this may not be for me as I found the shampoo and conditioner a tad heavy for my fine hair. Conscious of my previous experience, I made sure not to use any oil or any sort of leave in treatment on my hair for a week before trying this product. I also made sure to use as little of it as possible (which was rather difficult as it's quite a thick product!). I followed the instructions which said to apply it to damp, freshly washed hair from root to tip and leave it for at least 10 minutes. I worked from the ends upwards so there would be as little product as possible weighing down my roots and left it for around 10 minutes. Though it's quite a gloopy product, it washed out easily and even whilst showering, I could feel that my hair felt softer and smoother (and even a tad thicker though, perhaps, this was due to the product being a bit too heavy for my hair type?). I also liked the way that my hair reacted to the treatment. It seemed to encourage my natural waves and I was confident leaving my hair to dry naturally. Whilst it did not eradicate all frizziness, it was a major improvement. My hair felt deeply conditioned but not greasy. Another bonus is the scent and even 24 hours after using the treatment, my hair still holds plenty of the beautiful signature scent. Now for the negatives! The scent is very strong. I love it but many may not. I also think I would need to use this sparingly. Even with the little that I used, my hair felt heavier / weighed down and I expect there to be quite a bit of product build up. I've used this twice so far in a week in place of my normal hair mask treatments, and so far, I think I've found a new hair favourite! I will be including my thoughts below: Ergonomically, this has fantastic packaging. It has this lovely textured rim around the bottom of the jar, which means you get a good grip while scooping out your product with wet hands in the shower. It has a nice chunky lid too, which screws off easily enough, but contains a small pull lid on top of the actual hair butter, so the stuff inside won't spill. It isn't too runny, nor is it too gloopy and thick, so it's the perfect consistency to rub through your hair. I have my fine hair that's mid-upper arm length, and I only need a very small scoop to coat my hair. I run a comb through it after to ensure it's well distributed, and then spread the excess picked up in the comb's teeth over the front of my face where the fringe is (heat damage, hello!). I then clip it up for the rest of my shower, rinse it off at the end, and hey presto! Beautiful glossy hair. I can see a real difference when I've rinsed it off as well, because it feels very soft to the touch, and even after being bundled up in a towel and then unwrapped after, it falls down in soft, non-tangled locks, which have no resistance when combed through. I've tried this with and without my other hair products (leave in spray conditioner, heat protectant, and anti-frizz serum), and I've found that I do need my extra things to really get my hair to sit totally unfrizzed after, but even without, the shine and gloss is absolutely stunning. I think in future, I'll probably leave this stuff on for longer (overnight if possible), which will hopefully give me the full repair effects. However, for a ten minute flash treatment, this is a really nifty thing to have in the shower with you. Also, in regards to the scent, I was a little disappointed – I've heard wonders about the SdJ products' smell, and to be honest, it's pretty much like every high street hair mask smell. It's lovely, don't get me wrong! But it's nothing special (it still has the chemically salon product smell) and in my opinion, shouldn't be the aspect that sways you for or against buying the product. I don't know if this is going to replace my current favourite's holy grail status (Olaplex No.3), but value wise, it's definitely going to be a close competitor. I'll be reaching for this again in future when I want some quick hollywood hair for sure!mun

Keracare Natural Textures Butter Cream is a moisturiser not a styling product. I found this product worked best when using a surface free moisturising shampoo and conditioner. I bought this thinking it was more for styling because I heard it gave good definition; this product does give good definition and reduces frizz, however found there was still shrinkage and my hair was still puffy. My hair is thick, but the product didn't stretch the curls at all and was a little heavy. I have used other moisturising products that stretches my curls more, but admittedly it does say it's for moisturising. I have purchased the defining custard for styling but heard this can be crunchy,so will apply the butter cream after. Hopefully the product will work better!Lilly
I don't know what was wrong with this product but it smelled awful. I've purchased this makers product a number of times and the smell wasn't over whelming and it was light with a floral scent. But this product smelled OLD! As if it had been setting on the shelf for a while and whomever needed to get rid of it due to it expiration date. I rubbed some of the product in my hands and there were clumps in jar. I don't know what the shelf life of these products are but this one was not good in my opinion. This is my first time writing a review. I’ve tried so many products. ☹️ I have 3c high porosity hair that is very difficult to keep moisturized without weighing down my hair. It appears reading ingredients lists really matter. Shea butter and coconut oils do not agree with my hair. The theobroma grandflorum seed butter is this product is more moisturizing than Shea butter and isn’t heavy. I apply more in my ends and it really helps with frizziness and I can apply a small amount to my ends everyday.TJ
I don’t ever leave reviews because everyone’s experience is different. However, Alodia has been the BEST products for my hair type ( think I’m a3b) and have made my daughter a believer. She has the 4C, thick course hair. She used the shampoo along with the deep conditioning masque and curl enhancing butter. She said her hair is the softest it’s ever been and she was able to comb through her hair for the first time with ease. I had tried this product originally through their website right at the start of the pandemic March 2020. It truly helped my hair grow back after the stress of life and getting older caused some major thinning. I loved it but started trying other options because this wasn’t in stores. When I heard they were coming to Target, I was truly excited but wasn’t in my local one. I made it a point to get to the nearest one that had it available and bought each of the shampoo, deep conditioner, the hair & scalp oil, and curl enhancing butter. I’ve also tried the soothing oil. This is the second best product in this line! If you have dry, thick, of course hair……this is the twisting butter for you! A little of this product goes a long way! It is thick and heavy, so if you use too much it will be greasy, so just use a tad! This gives a very defined, yet soft twist out. This stuff is incredible, my friend gave me a sample but I assumed it was primarily for coarser drier hair like hers. Not so! This stuff smells amazing and when I put it on my ends unlike oil it doesn't make my hair slick and oily, just super hydrated and glam. I never knew hair and scalp butters existed so it was exciting to try this product. It’s solid inside the tub but all you need to do is scoop the appropriate amount out and warm it between your hands and apply on the hair/scalp. I thought it would be greasy but you can’t even feel any residual greasiness on the scalp. The fact that it’s free of sulfates, parabens and other unnecessary things makes it even better. I've used this a couple times, iys so light weight and leaves a beautiful sheen and softness to the hair. Love that the moisture lasts the entire week and even when it's wash day (every 7 days) hair was still soft with a healthy shine. The only thing I don't like is after the first use, the butter became gritty. While the butter of course does melt, the texture is just horrible now. From a beautiful buttery texture to feeling like it has sand in it. Have no clue why the texture changed so much but it has become a staple in my and my daughters hair routine.
So happy i recieved this to try out it works wonders. I put it on my hair as well as my niece and was very thrilled with the results not only does it smell really good it adds alot of moisture to your hair. It dont take alot to use on your hair just a few swipes will do the trick. I was surprised how much you get out of a little swipe i find it easier if you seperate the hair and then rub in the cream. It does have a little bit of a oily feeling to it but other than that it works real well. I was skeptical about trying this item bc it is pricey & I would’ve been upset if it didn’t work. I have very kinky ends, which makes detangling dreadful. After my sister tried it on my niece’s ends (she has very kinky ends too) and had no problem detangling, I said I would try it. I still didn’t want to bc of the price, but I told myself it would be worth it if it helped me get through my ends. And, it did phenomenal. It helped me get through my ends with ease and the smell…I’m in love with the smell. The smell is awesome and not overbearing at all. Definitely repurchase worthy. I bought another already. My only issue is the price. I find I use it more sparingly bc I don’t wanna waste my coins and I’m used to being heavy-handed with my hair products. I have think 4b natural hair. This is one of four of the expensive products in this line that I purchased because of all the other great ingredients it contains. I Researched additional sites to ensure the exclusion of certain unwanted ingredients. All the sites I searched for this product's ingredient list was the same, no phenoxyethanol. This helped me consider purchasing this item. When I received the product noticed unfortunately that This product contains phenoxyethanol. Not good for women trying to balance hormones.
I have 3a-3b curls and I am beyond pleased with this product. I don't normally leave reviews but i've been using the Knot Butta before I apply gel and my wash and go's have lasted 4-5 days which is impressive for my frizz-prone hair. My curls love very moisturized and juicy without being weighed down. I also have to mention the smell, its like you step into a candy store without the nausea. i would definitely recommend this product, and i would love to try more Soultanical products, specifically their gel.Andie

I've used this product for more than a month and my hair feels noticeably softer. I have only used this as a leave-in condition when my hair is damp 2 times a week after I have washed my hair. This stuff is amazing! I have long, straight, color-treated hair. I regularly use deep conditioners and British M's hair oil, so my hair is very silky and smooth. I expected this to be a great conditioner, but I didn't anticipate to be able to detect any noticeable differences (since my hair is in good condition). But OMG, this is incredible! I used it in the shower, and left on my hair for about 5 minutes. I followed it up with British M's hair oil, and my hair has literally never felt better (I didn't think it was possible!).
