I have an oily scalp from seborrheic dermatitis and probably because it's just oily so I discovered Paul Mitchell Shampoo 2 for oily hair and it's the best. I buy a salon size at Paul Mitchell or a buy one get one at Ulta, works and lasts forever (see full review). But after living somewhere with soft water my whole life then moving to somewhere that's 100/100 on the hard water scale has been hard on my hair. I looked into Shampoo 3, which I associate with chlorine because decades ago when I was a swimmer I used this to protect my blonde hair. It was a different formula that was green then. Now my hair is dark blonde with darker roots (natural blonde) so it shows oil and buildup well. I have all kinds of filters to help with the hard water, but when it's that bad filters don't do much. This shampoo has a light blue tint and a subtle grapefruit scent. Shampoo 2 is clear with a softer lemon scent. I'm sensitive to dyes and fragrance and this doesn't bother me at all. I used this once a week and it really helps! I have so much volume after using this and my roots look great for days (I use another shampoo and wash my hair every other day). I really like this. I probably would need a purple shampoo to take the brassiness out of my blonde but I'm happy that this lets me go longer between washing my hair and does seem to remove some hard water buildup. This is drying. I just use it around my roots and then use a hair mask. If you have dry hair, then get in chlorine, then use this yes it will dry out your hair. But for my needs this has replaced shampoo 2

I really like this. For me the smell lasts a while and it does a good job of clarifying my scalp. It smells great and it does what it says it’s going to do. My only issue is that it takes a while to rinse out. My hair feels a certain way after rinsing for what I would say is my “normal” rinsing time. I probably rinse an extra 30 seconds to a minute more than usual. But that’s okay with me because I don’t use this daily so to me it’s not a giant issue. But it might be for others. Tried the Degrease Shampoo because my hair is quite on the oily scale. Packaging is great and high quality bottle and tamper proof lid/foil. I have thin, fine greasy hair and my daily exercise routine and having hard water does not help. I found this degrease shampoo online and it is the first shampoo that has helped my hair not be so greasy. It worked the first time I used it and it is still working well three months later. I have tried many all in one shampoo & conditioners, some good, some not so good. T-Gel is really very good in my opinion. I do suffer from dandruff occasionally, sometimes quite bad. So it was well timed with this shampoo as I had bout of dandruff as I received the sample to test. Even after the first wash I could see that my hair was much clearer. And silky soft. My dandruff was completely gone after the third wash. I haven't tried a Gel shampoo before, but actually quite like it. It has a really nice light fresh scent which was just about right. The product comes in a cardboard package with the bottle itself inside. It gives an expensive feel to the item and the bottle itself has clear simple writing on, making it feel premium as well as making it clear the shampoo is no frills but does the job it should. The liquid itself is thick so you will need a fair amount to get a good coverage but it massages in easily and washes away with no trouble. There is no odour which is a positive compared to other scalp itching products that can possess an unpleasant smell. Perhaps something positive could have been added as a scent but I understand the ingredients are carefully chosen to serve the purpose. I love this Klorane oil control shampoo I got from Bzzagent! It's my first time trying a product for my hair that would control excess sebum on my scalp. I've always had trouble with oil hair and sometimes they will get oily even after a shower. I've been testing this out for a few weeks to make sure it was the shampoo that works; and to my surprise it was. I ended up loving it so much I had to get myself a bigger bottle because I ran out. bzzagent sent me a sample of KLORANE Oil-Control Shampoo with Nettle, Oil-Control Powder Hair Mask with Nettle Sachet 2 to try. Upon trying it, I loved the smell, it has that peppermint smell that isn't over powering but good enough that you know your hair will be cleaned and smell fresh. The sample was fairly small for the shampoo so it's hard to truly judge just how beneficial it is because I was only able to get about 2 washes out of it, it did leave my hair feeling cleaning afterwards but I didn't find it controlled my oiliness on my scalp too well. I've definitely used better. I like to go 1-2 days in between washes but I like to have at least 7-10 washes before I can really judge how well a shampoo treats my hair… this sample didn't really allow that. But for the 2, maybe 3 washes I did get, I did enjoy the smell and effects while it did last.Tina

So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. I am told by my stylist that I have fine hair but a lot of it. I was noticing that I was losing what looked like a lot of hair to me in the shower and in my brushes. I tried some different shampoos and conditioners and none seemed better than the others. I was having a particular problem with tangles when my hair was wet. I have very hard water so that is probably part of the issue. My sister has amazing hair, she grows it down to her waist and donates it to a wigs for kids program. She uses this shampoo and conditioner even though she doesn't color her hair so I tried it and it is working great for me. Detangles, my hair looks healthy, and I see less coming out in the shower and brushes. I use the shampoo and conditioner together every other day. On the in-between day I get it wet and just use a little conditioner from around where a low ponytail would be to the ends for detangling. Warning – Conditioner is a MUST with this shampoo! It really does clean your head and it kind of dries out my hair, but I love it. I have very fine, straight hair that has gotten thinner as I've gotten older. I do not color it or use any products and I rarely use a blow-dryer, so my hair is pretty healthy. My scalp is oily though so by the end of the day, my hair feels gross. This has helped me keep my hair feeling less greasy for longer. The smell is very light and refreshing, too. Smells amazing and is a good product, but I think this is more of a greasy hair conditioner. Or for someone who doesn't need much conditioning for whatever reason (maybe non colour treated, very healthy hair). It's not quite nourishing enough for my blonde colour treated hair. Last time I got EVOs really thick nourishing conditioner and found it a bit TOOO thick and heavy. Needed a happy medium and was hoping this would be it. This shampoo SAVED my hair. I’ve been using Native shampoo conditioner for about 6 months and I noticed my scalp start to have so much dandruff. It was REALLY bad. My hit also seemed really oily pretty quickly. At this point, it felt like I just couldn’t get it out no matter how long I rinsed. There was just lots of build up. This shampoo literally saved my hair. After one wash, it felt significantly better and actually clean. I paired it with the curl quench conditioner on my ends (even though I have straight hair) and use a little on my scalp and my hair looks and feels so much better. I honestly picked this because it was the cheapest clarifier I could find with a good amount of fl oz. I was comparing to other brands. This clarifier is very good and I am glad I picked it up. I had such high hopes for this brand, and especially the shampoo. I love the way the bottle looks it's so cute in the blush color, and I've heard great things from so many people about that they love the shampoo. I hate it. I need a clarifying shampoo because once a week I put a ton of oil, and sometimes hair masks as well, on my hair. I'm trying to regrow my hair, a little bit over a year ago I was completely bald, so I use mostly biotin and Castor oils. My regular shampoo washes them out pretty well, as well as my cheap drugstore shampoo, even it washes the oils out okay. I just wanted a clarifying shampoo for these weekly hair oil treatments. This shampoo did not wash the oil out of my hair at all! I was worried after shampoo because I didn't feel that squeaky clean feeling I expect from a clarifying shampoo, but I kept going thinking that maybe it was just more moisturizing than others. Nope. I got out of the shower, blow dried my hair, and it looks like I still have a ton of oil in my hair, probably because I do. I really don't understand how this is a clarifying shampoo, I even shampoo twice in my shower too, that's my routine I always shampoo twice but especially when I have oil in my hair. My first order of business today will be returning this thing to Ulta and getting the Ouai Detox that I should have just splurged on in the first place. Then I need to rewash and blow dry my hair again, for the second time within 24 hours which is infuriating. Add to all of that the fact that this thing doesn't have any scent that I can smell. I expect my hair care products to be highly scented, I prefer musky non floral scents but regardless it should be scented. When I stick my nose in the bottle I can vaguely smell something, but when using it in the shower and after: nothing, smells like literally nothing. I bought this specifically to wash off the remaining hair dye fading on my hair. This is not a shampoo I regularly use due to my chemically processed hair and can be a bit drying. It impressively cleanses the hair and scalp by striping all the build-up and residue, including hair dye to the best of its ability. I picked up this shampoo because I live in an apartment and my shower has a lot of hard water and minerals that come from the pipes. I was very hopeful this shampoo would help to remove all that mineral and hard water buildup, which it did. however if you are going to use this, use a moisturizing mask afterwards because this will dry out your hair and make it tangly and unmanageable. Also only use this 1-2x monthly to avoid severely dehydrating your hair. This is an inexpensive product compared to other hard water or detox shampoos, but i have noticed the pricier options hydrate your hair a bit more while washing with them. I have long, thick, balayaged hair that lives way more of a fabulous life than I do. I don’t skimp on shampoo and for that reason I have always liked all the Biolage shampoos I’ve tried. They are high quality and come in very nice sized bottles for the price. That is why I was so very eager to try smooth proof because my hair is also wavy and without some taming, it can get pretty wild. I first tried this shampoo a few times without the conditioner (This is me most days for sake of time and also to avoid build up) and I was so happy with the results. It did not weight my hair down at all. The wave was more cohesiveness and it was soft and so shiny! I do use with the conditioner at least once a week and that is where you really see the smooth get to another level. However, it didn’t weight it all completely down, I still had plenty of lift at my crown without any real styling (Which I generally avoid) Like all the other Biolage shampoos I’ve tried, it lathers well. You don’t need much. I also really love the floral scent, reminds me of orange mlossom. I’ve been using it for more than a month now and my hair still feels great. I received this shampoo free for testing purposes by #influester. The shampoo is absolutely amazing it is thin and light but hydrating enough for my course, thick, 3C hair. My daughters and I have been thoroughly enjoying this shampoo and it’s something we can all use. My older has thick wavy hair and works wonderfully for her. The shampoo and conditioner is perfect and enough for her hair. My youngest daughter has curly 3B hair but it’s very fine and thin and the shampoo does work wonderfully for her hair too. Upon first usage, I noticed a very floral, fruity, citrus-like scent. It smells great and reminds me of sorbet or candy. After rinsing off, the scent is much more subtle which is great that it doesnt overpower you. The shampoo so far has been great. The scent is actually pretty awful. It smells salty, no coconut whatsoever. Also the pump that dispenses the shampoo never dispenses enough for those of us with thick hair. I end up having to unscrew the cap. If they could work on those two things the product would be worth it but as of now I wouldn’t buy again.
This BYRD shampoo is relentless. You don't need much to put on your hair but it really does the job. It lathers up quick and all you need is a small pump. I've had this shampoo for almost a year and it's still going strong. I use it almost every day. It's endless shampoo. This product is quite good. The smell is also nice. It has a salty smell to it and it cleans up great. I always feel like my hair is very clean after using it. I would buy this again. I wonder if there's more selection to the scents. I'm down for buying different scents from these guys.

I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. I washed my hair about 5 days ago and my hair is a lot less flakey and itchy. It still feels relatively clean with some oil started to build up on my hair. By this time, my hair is usually an oily, flakey mess, but it is not now because of this shampoo! Will definitely splurge for the large bottle!sweetkiwi
Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. One day I thought, I should go to my supply store and try some myself. It worked after only 1 use ! Paul Mitchell has the Best professional products out there ! I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! For me personally, I think it works great and a lot of the negative comments here are from user error but that's just my opinion.Kelsey
