My daughter has extremely long and thick hair. So if she doesnt keep it braided all the time, she can get a ton of tangles. I bought this spray because it was cheap. BIG MISTAKE! When I used it on her hair, it did help get the tangles out temporarily, but not for long. I purchased this for my biracial daughter with coiled hair. In the summer, I spray her hair down with water and apply products. But with it being the winter time, I don’t want her starting the day with soaking wet hair. I like how this nourishes her curls. I've been using this product on my girls for over a year now and would like to comment on the comments about white grainy residue in the hair . . . I experienced the same thing at first almost making me throw it out but I gave it a try on my youngest with no other product in her hair and it did not leave the residue so I learned that this product does not pair well with certain products outside of this line like Cantu. I used detangling sprays from Honest and California Baby and they really only mildly help. I bought this in hopes that it would actually detangle my daughter’s curly hair and it works. You can use this either as a leave-in or rinse out conditioner. Given she hates her hair being rinsed, I use a dime size amount, rub it into the ends of her hair and leave it in. I just hate the build up in such a short amount time. 3-4 days you can seriously feel the build up in the toddler hair and it makes it more tangled trying to unbraid hair as the days go on.I think maybe adding water and coconut oil will loosen the product up a bit and help add a healthy shine. We own a Newfoundland that loves the water. Last week of June we had a hot spell where temps were in the 90s consistently for days. Nights were humid. Trying to make sure all our dogs had plenty of water, we neglected to do a brush out at night under our Newfies chin and around his ears. Consequently mats formed over the hot days with areas not drying completely which made the mats worse. Mane n tail was recommended, it does work with smaller mats, I spent several moments every day working on the larger mats, following the directions, with very little success. We learned a valuable lesson with our Newfs fur and what we need to do better. Ended up cutting the larger mats to a smaller size, then applying Mane n Tail working on the smaller size mats. Our Newf was very patient but would only hold still for 1015 minutes provided I moved to different areas on his chin, chest and ears. Chewys delivery was great, smell of the product was fine. Its not a miracle mat untangler, also depends on the kind of fur being untangled. Works much better on our Great Pyrenees fur than our Newfie fur.Anonymous

This Aussie Kids Curly Sulfate Free Shampoo was PERFECT for my kids' ringlets and curls. Second – the shampoo itself smells delish – fruity but not overwhelming, with a nice thickness that stays where you put it. The bottle is easy to hold when slippery as it has finger grooves on the side and the pump is easy to use and dispenses just the right amount per pump.l But the stinky scalp test…. I got my kiddo's hair soaking wet from scalp to end of very long hair. I put a quarter sized dollop of shampoo in the hands, rubbed them together and then lathered kiddo up. It lathered with voluminous, thick, sweet smelling bubbles right away. After a few seconds of working the lather through we rinsed. The shampoo rinsed out easily and quickly, no tears, no stickiness, no dryness. I got out the detangling comb while kiddo was still in tub and hair that is usually a rats nest was smooth and tangle free. So far so good! We used the companion conditioner next – but that is another review. What I will say is hair was soft and shiny and scalp had zero redness. Hair and scalp also remained sweet smelling though the entire day and soccer practice and was still wonderful the next morning. So, I have tried about 15 different detanglers and FINALLY found one that is natural (like the back of the label really is natural), works great, and doesn't smell like bubble gum or watermelon. For the most part this worked well. It does a decent job controlling frizz and defining curls too. The hold doesn't last long though, I did have to touch up through the day because it didn't hold up. I found this to be an excellent light conditioner. I have 3 b hair that I bleach and dye fun colors so my hair is a bit damaged, but this product line has been really nice to my hair. The conditioner isn't going to be great for anyone with type 4 hair or above, but it is excellent for waves and 3 type curls because of how light weight it is. I wash my hair once or twice a week. I wash, rinse, condition, detangle, leave on for 5-10 minutes, rinse. I usually put the leave in conditioning treatment from Chi on after but while I am still in the shower. Also sometimes the product can leave my curls crunchy if I don't follow up with a smoothing styling cream or an oil. It felt weird and gimmicky as a black girl and the product description mentions the different hair types it works on and in my experience what works for straight hair does not work for curly hair. This spray works so well! We tried it for the first time this morning and it brought my son's curls to life! It's called a gel spray, but doesn't leave a crunchy feel which is great. I saw this product on a show. They showed a lady to has heat damaged her hair using hot irons, curling irons, etc and was experiencing serious frizz as a result. They treated one side of her hair with the shampoo, conditioner and no frizz styling cream and the other side they left untreated. They proceeded to use a steam releasing appliance and viola, her hair did not frizz. These products work to eliminate frizzy hair by blocking humidity – and without weighing hair down (sulfate-free). First thing I notice as I am using the shampoo, my hair is not tangling as usual and the shampoo has a very nice citrus scent .. After rinsing out the shampoo, I used the conditioner. I used according to directions and my hair felt wonderful and moisturized. Next, I used the leave-in conditioner and began to blow dry my hair.
