I purchased this product because the white boards in my classroom were not erasing well at all. Let me rephrase, the writing was erasing but it was leaving a residue or "shadows" or "ghosting" behind. I have been using white board cleaner and was just fed up with the mess that were my boards. I purchased this white board conditioner and applying it was a process much like waxing my car: wax on, wax off (with two different cloths and in a circular buffing pattern). It actually worked pretty well and my boards erase. A couple of the drawbacks are that after waxing this on and writing on the board my expo markers don't write as heavily/dark. At first, it almost looks like a washable marker on a waxy surface when the "ink" kind of separates. Then my black marker looks more gray and seems like the marker is wearing out faster. I use these for certain surfaces in my classroom that do best with a pre-moistened wipe (like my slick calendar cards). This spray works pretty good for cleaning the white board. This school year has been so crazy with us being in school for a while then out of school for a while. When I return, the marker has been on the board for a while and won’t come off with a rag or eraser. This spray works great to get the marker off easily. I've had this dry erase kitchen calendar planner for probably 15 years and it's seen a lot of use. I cleaned it up with the remooble and it cleaned it up like new… but I'd been careful to use dry erase markers and even though I've had phone numbers and notes on there for long periods that didn't always clean up perfectly, the remooble cleaned it perfectly and immediately. The impressive part would be to see how well it works against it's claim to clean permanent marker! I've had dry erase boards where I work ruined by someone mistakenly using permanent markers so I tried a tiny test spot with a permanent marker (I was really skeptical) and remooble worked great! So to really test it, I got my dry erase (blue) pen and a marks-a-lot permanent pen (black) and wrote on the board and left it for a week… I tried wiping it with a dry cloth and the blue came off… but the permanent marker wasn't going anywhere… at least until I put the remooble on it! I'm seriously impressed. The spray is sort of thick so it won't run. Just spray the remooble on the permanent marker and it starts lifting the permanent marker off. Pretty much instantly you'll see the permanent marker come off. Initially it's a bit smeary/hazy but just re-apply again and it's clean! Not even a hint of the permanent marker left on the board. This product arrived safely in a snug cardboard box with a tight-fitting closure. The bottle itself has a plastic cap that prevents the spray from leaking or accidentally discharging. When I first received this, I supposed it would be like the other cleaner sprays I have used in the past. Got this in the hope of extending the life of some of our older "white boards" . I was not sure.what.to expect , some of the boards were looking shabby from lots of use without a proper cleaning. This cleaner is easy to use and I (and everyone else ) were pleasantly surprised . The change was amazing . So happy with the dry erase board cleaner. A great product !
My new classroom was a "storeroom" last year, so the writing and "color clouds" on my whiteboard have been there for quite some time. This cleaner took care of the job with no problem. The whiteboards are looking (almost) brand new! This bottle is more than I need, but that just encouraged me to share it with the other teachers. (PRO-TIP: This won't clean off permanent/Sharpie markers, but I learned you can write over those with a dry-erase marker and it will break down the "permanent" marker. I was initially really happy to find this, I've used Quartet cleaner in the past and it worked amazing on shadows and residual dry erase marks, but unfortunately, this barely worked on fresh marker. I had to really scrub to get any shadows to come off and even then it was about 50/50. I'm guessing they've changed their formula so I don't know if I can find what I had before, but this isn't it. This whiteboard cleaner is great! It is a great size bottle of solution. Will easily get more uses out of it than I imagined. Easy to use spray bottle. The solution is non toxic and low odor. I tested this product on a monthly calendar board. It has only been wiped with an eraser. I allowed the solution to sit for a minute or two. I was amazed to see the results. The board cleaned up nicely. Removed smudged colored markers and dirt. The rag is a great size. Wiped off the board easily. The rag can be handwashed and reused. I chose this item because we have multiple white boards that we use in our house for schedules and schooling. When this arrived i had my daughter (the teacher) go test this out on our vet large, very old white board. WOW is this stuff GREAT. It removed years old marker and made our board almost new again (minus the scratch). This cleaner comes with a micro soft towel to wipe the cleaner and marker off with.
