My concerns: sensitive skin,, serum delivery and facial massage. Overall note: Vibration is not very fast so not “ultrasonic” if you’re looking for that kind of massage device, but it is wonderful! I prefer that its a bit bouncy and its very easy to clean all the of heads. Epilator: I had a Braun epilator FOR YEARS so I suspect the quality of this epilator is very good and hopefully this will be the same. Never rusted and cleaned very easily. Serum massage head: bouncy and has a strange ‘stiff/not so stiff’ setting at the top, which I dont really understand. However its very easy to clean and does a great job of delivering with its smaller head into the sides of my nose. Best with oil and moves with ease because the plate slightly bends across the curves of your face. Brush: not as fast as one would normally see in say the Clarisonic, but I dont use it for my face, just body brush and is gentle enough for that. Criticisms for improvement: The stand alone would have given it 4 stars because it is a ridiculous piece of plastic to keep the machine upright, but nothing else? I have to lay out a towel after washing the heads because the lid only fits over the epilator. Then I keep them all in the suede bag provided because its semi-rigid. Will probably use my own bag because drying takes a while. Would recommend for someone who does a medium amount (2-3x times a week, less than everyday) routine because I’m not sure how much the replacement of the brush will cost…but is a really good entry level skin care item that introduces you to many marketable skin care fads, and I’m sure I’ll find out through this, what is important to me.Neonyellowhighligher
Braun FaceSpa Pro 911 It is a very sleek and modern looking beauty tool and I love the Rose Gold detailing which make it look expensive and high quality. It is also very light and sits nicely in your hand. To review this product fully I feel you really need to break it down into the 3 different areas the product focuses on. The Epilator head – I was excited to try this as I had never used an epilator on my face before. After charging the device it was a bit daunting as a 1st timer to watch (and hear) the little epilator head spinning around and contemplate using this on your face however following the instructions in the handbook and stretching the skin it delivered really effective results. It was a little bit nippy to begin with but any redness died down within minutes and left me with a smooth upper lip. I also trialled the product on my stray eyebrow hairs and found it really quick and easy to use with brilliant results. The Cleansing Brush – Personally I was a little disappointed with this part of the spa. I had hoped it would deliver a deep clean and clear out any clogged pores or blackheads that I had but unfortunately the brush doesn’t work into my pores in this way. I also found the built in timer a bit annoying as it was never quite long enough to work on one area of my face and the brush stops rotating for a couple of seconds when the timer reaches the end before starting up again, good idea in theory but I would have liked to have been able to turn this function off. I also feel like I have used a LOT more of my cleansing product than I would have applying by hand as without product on the brush the bristles can feel a bit rough after a while if your skin is very dry (like mine). Overall it did work well to remove leftover makeup but didn’t deliver quite the results I was hoping for The MicroVibration Head – Again I think I had possibly put my expectation of what this would deliver on a pedestal before actually trying the product but I was very disappointed. On a positive, the head felt nice and cool on first touch against your skin and then almost delivers a slight warming feel when using it. The microvibration is a nice sensation on cheeks but (onto the negatives) felt a bit like a drill against boney areas such as my forehead, cheekbones and chin! The timer function also comes into play with this head and is again rather annoying as I would prefer a smooth constant movement from one area to another rather than a disjointed gap, it is also quite noisy when vibrating which takes away from the relaxing spa feel it should create. I was using more product again than usual too and after using the head still ending up using my fingertips to finish applying my cream as I felt a lot of my moisturiser was still sitting on my face and wasn’t rubbed in fully. To summarise, I think the product is a great idea in theory but has a lot of downsides. It looks great but in my opinion it is overpriced for what it actually delivers and I feel the only part I will use regularly is the epilator head. All in all, a very expensive epilator.Nicole2107
I was really excited to try this out, I have at times very fuzzy peach hair, some days it’s not noticeable and other days it’ll catch the light and I’ll stare in horror and wonder if people see that all the time! I decided to try out the brush head first using a face wash with it, it was so so relaxing and my skin felt so much cleaner than any previous methods I’ve tried. I always find my forehead needs more attention than the rest of my face but I usually end up scrubbing it raw trying to exfoliate it. But the brush is the PERFECT amount of rough vs soft, my skin didn’t sting at all after using it and it’s the softest it’s ever felt. Without a doubt my favourite attachment for the FacePro that I’ll use every day! The epilator head for the FacePro works just as you’d expect, it’s feels scary and unnatural putting it on your skin at first but I quickly got used to the sensation! And my face is finally hair free in the right places! I also used this to shape and define my eyebrow, works wonders. I decided to use the microvibrating head last to apply some moisterier after exfoliating, at first it didn’t seem to do much, and I only really felt it ‘massaging’ on my cheek bones? But once I had finished applying the moisterier I could feel it had definitely helped to even my skin tone and brought some colour to my face whilst evenly distributing my moisterier. The only downside is although the FacePro doesn’t have a lot of buttons it wasn’t very clear how to use it from the instructions. The difference between the normal and ‘turbo’ mode was very subtle too so figuring out what setting it was on was confusing at times! Though I did discover it has a handy ‘lock’ setting so you can put it in your bag for travel safely without worrying about it accidentally turning on. Thoughtful plus! It comes with a little pouch for the attachments and a cute circle stand. I love the rose gold/copper colour and this would make a lovely gift to a mother, sister, friend etc. It’s so convienent having multiple features on one device and definitely feels like a luxurious ‘spa evening’ whenever I do my skin care routine now. I have very fine light blonde hair on my upper lip and chin. I've found that over the last few years (I just turned 30), it looks a bit thicker and longer than it was in my youth– and I've started looking into ways to remove it as it is unsightly in the sun/selfies. I've tried waxing but it always left me with irritation. I also just started using a retinol so waxing is no longer an option. Tweezing would take forever, and going for threading at a salon is not an option during a pandemic. I was skeptical of this tool based on the very mixed reviews but I decided to give it a try and use the advice some of the reviewers left. I'm very pleased with the results and so far have not had any irritation! So here is what worked for me: -At first it did not work. But that was because I was a dummy and didn't clean my face first (moisturizer is not your friend in this circumstance). I used a baby wipe to wipe down my chin/lip and let it dry… and THEN it worked. I also kept the baby wipe on hand and wiped down the area as I went, and wiped the tool too to keep it clean and grippy. SO– use it on CLEAN skin with NO product. -It worked for me both in the direction of hair growth AND opposite hair growth, but was MORE effective when I held it upside down in a U shape and went UP on my face so it was pulling the hairs opposite the hair growth– and this manoeuvre felt similar to threading. -It did seem to break some of the very fine/shorter hairs, but for the most part it removed the longer hairs from the root. It did not remove ALL the hairs, but removed enough that it does not show up in close up selfies, and honestly looks more natural than waxing because there are still SOME teeny tiny hairs. -Once I got the hang of how to use it, it only took about 5 min to do my entire lip and chin. I found it was more effective the quicker I went, and was less painful than tweezing/waxing! I kept my slanted tweezers handy and ended up plucking a few stray hairs but it was QUICK!kaffeinejunkie
Turning the ARROWS simplified: with the Tweezerman LOGO FACING YOU; the handles must be turned INWARDS ( towards the center between the two handle ends) If the BLANK SIDE is FACING UP, the handles must be turned OUTWARDS (away from the center). One cannot just randomly pick up the remover and start turning because on one side the arrows face one direction and on the flip side the arrows face the opposite direction. Verify this for yourself! I couldn't figure out why one time it would work and the next it wouldn't – arrow turning directionality is the answer. Also, alternately turning of the handles works better than trying to turn them simultaneously. Use longer, non-curved side-bar for cheeks, chin, under-chin and forehead. I go two directions: firstly with the side-bar perpendicular to the ground, then again with it parallel to the ground. Using this cross cut method makes sure the job gets done. Thanks to this simple, handy hair remover I no longer waste money on threading my lip or face and find this technique with a coil more effective too. Yes there is a learning curve and anyone who says it doesn't work has not used it properly. Yes, the process is somewhat painful at first but as the hair is removed it becomes proportionally tolerable and indicates the area is done. This leaves the skin naturally hair-free looking versus the harsh lines waxing leaves behind. The best thing about this dermaplaning tool is it’s price! It’s a great dermaplaning tool for beginners. I had been afraid to take the plunge out of fear of cutting my face. I have had a dermaflash for about 4 years. I love it. But the blades are a bit expensive ($29 for 4). I wanted to try to find a similar, cheaper alternative. I really liked this one. But I have a lot of experience dermaplaning as I am an aesthetician. But I can't dermaplane myself with the modified surgical scalpel so this tool is perfect. The battery did run out before I finished my face. but the vibration isn't necessary if you know what you're doing.

I've own this product for only 1 1/2 weeks but so far I'm happy with my purchase. It's very powerful. I like the option of having 2 speeds and different attachments. I used the precision cap on my face (chin and upper lip) with great results. When using it on my face it was fast and less painful than other epilators I've used. I won't recommend it for eyebrows because even using the precision cap it was too difficult to shape brows using this product. If you're looking for an eyebrow epilator I would recommend using Braun FaceSpa. When I used it on my legs for the first time I won't lie, it was painful. This epilator stopped working after a couple of months. Same as the previous low star reviews, stopped charging. I’m not sure if it’s the cord or the actual device for the defect. After using for a few days, the rotating head would start to pull away from the motor connection during use which results in a horrible sound as the motor stops catching the rotating bit. This could be resolved by holding the head down with a finger while operating the unit, but that makes it harder to operate. Not long after that, the device started to no longer turn off correctly. In the "off" mode it starts and stops in 2 second intervals until it is plugged in for charging. I suspect water got into the circuitry and salts are causing a short on it's logic parts. This was my first time using an epilator and I see the appeal. The faster speed worked better for my legs. It was indeed painful, but the second time I went back to do it a second time and it hurt a little less, and every time after that much less so. I guess it's similar to doing your eyebrows. My lower legs it did a great job of removing all the hair — but my thighs it was less effective as the hair is much finer. The hair itself isn't that noticeable anyway because of how fine it is so that it missed some isn't a problem for me. Armpits are very painful to do. Bikini line not too bad but some areas hurt more than others. It's easy to hold and is relatively fast to do and ends up with a nice smooth finish that lasts much longer than shaving. I received this about 6 days ago, my first impression of the flawless hair removal device was excellent although I found the way to insert the battery could been better as it is sometimes hard to slide out/in. I like how the cap is easy to remove emptying the hairs, it’s really convenient to just stick it in my purse when on the go! In terms of hair removal , I found it to be great at getting those short tiny hairs around the upper lips. I love how it’s able to remove the peachy fuzz off my face instead of using a dermaplaning this device replaced that! It’s gently removed hairs on my cheeks and around my chin/neck. It nicely cleans up your face and is great for touch ups. This device is excellent for my sensitive dry skin as I got not a single bump or redness. It leaves my skin looking better as removing hairs makes it look smoother softer which helps my foundation application to be a lot easier.
This is my second time buying this product after my first one died on me after 4 years of use. I absolutely love this product. It is a wholleee staple in my life. I grow facial hair on my whole face (thanks to my hispanic father) and this right here gets rid of that in 2 seconds. The hair on my face will generally start to grow back around 2 weeks or so later before I take another two seconds to rid of it. No pain (seriously.ZERO PAIN) The light is useful for seeing. You wont get nicked with this. The price is around $17-19.99 depending on where you go (thats a great price for magnificent quality). It’s gentle on the skin (I have sensitive skin). I have been using the Braun Mini Hair Remover regularly since I got it. I received it compliments of Pinchme. I was so excited to receive and it is something I would recommend everyone has. I have used it around some stray hairs around the eyebrow area. I find it takes seconds to use this and keep everything groomed. I'm more likely to use this than tweezers, since it's so easy. I was letting things go often before I had this. It's the size of lipstick. It has cap and cleaner brush. I wish it had a little pouch, but I can find one easy enough. I find the light on it more useful than I thought. I couldn't wait to receive my Braun Silk-épil 9 Flex 9-020 Epilator. The first thing I've noticed was the lovely case that it came in. It will help keep the shaver and attachments together, and the case will be handy during travel. I have to say that I was once used to using an epilator, but since I haven't used one for a while, I needed to reacclimate myself to using an epilator once again. Unfortunately, I had a difficult time tolerating the Braun Epilator, but I am sure I will get used to using it soon. Each of the attachments worked really well. The shaver gives a close and smooth shave, but it doesn't provide a very close underarm shave, and the facial cleansing brush does a gentle and effective scrub/message. Most of the attachments are easy to clean with the exception of the epilator head. I have tried different cleaning methods without much success. Some of the attachments seamed to be very poor quality. I now know that I will prefer using the shaver on dry skin, since it seamed to do a better job on dry skin. I, also, know that the epilator will be easier to use in the bathtub or on wet skin. The battery took a bit of time to charge. The Braun Silk-épil 9 Flex 9-020 Epilator appears to perform a bit better than the previous one I owned. I would only recommend it to friends and family member that have used an Epilator in the past, and they don't mind the pain. I just had parted with my old Braun Silk-épil that I had owned for many years. It made me pretty sad. So it was great to be chosen to test the Braun Silk-épil 9 Flex 9-020 Epilator. It is so much quieter than the Braun I had before and it also feels a lot better in your hands. It comes with three different heads (shaver, epilator and massager). The epilator head is flexible to the right and left, so it follows your curves better. There are three different parts you can put on it depending on what area you want to epilate (massage roller, facial, skin). The shaver comes with a trimmer cap. And then there's the massager which is a nice gimmick. I tried the shaver and the epilator with the massage roller. I'm not such a huge fan of epilation in general. But it was bearable even though I haven't epilated my leg in a long time. It was as painful as expected and I switched to the shaver. The shaver worked really well. A lot better than expected. And pretty quiet. I think from now on I'll shave my legs with the Braun silk-épil more often than with my razor under the shower which often irritates my skin. I'm very impressed by this product and if it ever stops working I'll sure get a Braun again. It's such a great quality product. This epilator works very very well and the battery lasts a long time between charges! I love it. I started by waxing my legs and then have continued to epilate every few days or once per week for a few months. It’s less painful to use frequently to catch the hair that’s growing than to try to do a full hair removal with it. I also use on my armpits and it is super fast; I love it and recommend! Just be aware that it does hurt, I would say a similar pain level to laser hair removal because it’s individual hairs being removed by the tweezers.Paigeb

My concerns: sensitive skin,, serum delivery and facial massage. Overall note: Vibration is not very fast so not “ultrasonic” if you’re looking for that kind of massage device, but it is wonderful! I prefer that its a bit bouncy and its very easy to clean all the of heads. Epilator: I had a Braun epilator FOR YEARS so I suspect the quality of this epilator is very good and hopefully this will be the same. Never rusted and cleaned very easily. Serum massage head: bouncy and has a strange ‘stiff/not so stiff’ setting at the top, which I dont really understand. However its very easy to clean and does a great job of delivering with its smaller head into the sides of my nose. Best with oil and moves with ease because the plate slightly bends across the curves of your face. Brush: not as fast as one would normally see in say the Clarisonic, but I dont use it for my face, just body brush and is gentle enough for that. Criticisms for improvement: The stand alone would have given it 4 stars because it is a ridiculous piece of plastic to keep the machine upright, but nothing else? I have to lay out a towel after washing the heads because the lid only fits over the epilator. Then I keep them all in the suede bag provided because its semi-rigid. Will probably use my own bag because drying takes a while. Would recommend for someone who does a medium amount (2-3x times a week, less than everyday) routine because I’m not sure how much the replacement of the brush will cost…but is a really good entry level skin care item that introduces you to many marketable skin care fads, and I’m sure I’ll find out through this, what is important to me.Neonyellowhighligher
Braun FaceSpa Pro 911 It is a very sleek and modern looking beauty tool and I love the Rose Gold detailing which make it look expensive and high quality. It is also very light and sits nicely in your hand. To review this product fully I feel you really need to break it down into the 3 different areas the product focuses on. The Epilator head – I was excited to try this as I had never used an epilator on my face before. After charging the device it was a bit daunting as a 1st timer to watch (and hear) the little epilator head spinning around and contemplate using this on your face however following the instructions in the handbook and stretching the skin it delivered really effective results. It was a little bit nippy to begin with but any redness died down within minutes and left me with a smooth upper lip. I also trialled the product on my stray eyebrow hairs and found it really quick and easy to use with brilliant results. The Cleansing Brush – Personally I was a little disappointed with this part of the spa. I had hoped it would deliver a deep clean and clear out any clogged pores or blackheads that I had but unfortunately the brush doesn’t work into my pores in this way. I also found the built in timer a bit annoying as it was never quite long enough to work on one area of my face and the brush stops rotating for a couple of seconds when the timer reaches the end before starting up again, good idea in theory but I would have liked to have been able to turn this function off. I also feel like I have used a LOT more of my cleansing product than I would have applying by hand as without product on the brush the bristles can feel a bit rough after a while if your skin is very dry (like mine). Overall it did work well to remove leftover makeup but didn’t deliver quite the results I was hoping for The MicroVibration Head – Again I think I had possibly put my expectation of what this would deliver on a pedestal before actually trying the product but I was very disappointed. On a positive, the head felt nice and cool on first touch against your skin and then almost delivers a slight warming feel when using it. The microvibration is a nice sensation on cheeks but (onto the negatives) felt a bit like a drill against boney areas such as my forehead, cheekbones and chin! The timer function also comes into play with this head and is again rather annoying as I would prefer a smooth constant movement from one area to another rather than a disjointed gap, it is also quite noisy when vibrating which takes away from the relaxing spa feel it should create. I was using more product again than usual too and after using the head still ending up using my fingertips to finish applying my cream as I felt a lot of my moisturiser was still sitting on my face and wasn’t rubbed in fully. To summarise, I think the product is a great idea in theory but has a lot of downsides. It looks great but in my opinion it is overpriced for what it actually delivers and I feel the only part I will use regularly is the epilator head. All in all, a very expensive epilator.Nicole2107
I was really excited to try this out, I have at times very fuzzy peach hair, some days it’s not noticeable and other days it’ll catch the light and I’ll stare in horror and wonder if people see that all the time! I decided to try out the brush head first using a face wash with it, it was so so relaxing and my skin felt so much cleaner than any previous methods I’ve tried. I always find my forehead needs more attention than the rest of my face but I usually end up scrubbing it raw trying to exfoliate it. But the brush is the PERFECT amount of rough vs soft, my skin didn’t sting at all after using it and it’s the softest it’s ever felt. Without a doubt my favourite attachment for the FacePro that I’ll use every day! The epilator head for the FacePro works just as you’d expect, it’s feels scary and unnatural putting it on your skin at first but I quickly got used to the sensation! And my face is finally hair free in the right places! I also used this to shape and define my eyebrow, works wonders. I decided to use the microvibrating head last to apply some moisterier after exfoliating, at first it didn’t seem to do much, and I only really felt it ‘massaging’ on my cheek bones? But once I had finished applying the moisterier I could feel it had definitely helped to even my skin tone and brought some colour to my face whilst evenly distributing my moisterier. The only downside is although the FacePro doesn’t have a lot of buttons it wasn’t very clear how to use it from the instructions. The difference between the normal and ‘turbo’ mode was very subtle too so figuring out what setting it was on was confusing at times! Though I did discover it has a handy ‘lock’ setting so you can put it in your bag for travel safely without worrying about it accidentally turning on. Thoughtful plus! It comes with a little pouch for the attachments and a cute circle stand. I love the rose gold/copper colour and this would make a lovely gift to a mother, sister, friend etc. It’s so convienent having multiple features on one device and definitely feels like a luxurious ‘spa evening’ whenever I do my skin care routine now. I have very fine light blonde hair on my upper lip and chin. I've found that over the last few years (I just turned 30), it looks a bit thicker and longer than it was in my youth– and I've started looking into ways to remove it as it is unsightly in the sun/selfies. I've tried waxing but it always left me with irritation. I also just started using a retinol so waxing is no longer an option. Tweezing would take forever, and going for threading at a salon is not an option during a pandemic. I was skeptical of this tool based on the very mixed reviews but I decided to give it a try and use the advice some of the reviewers left. I'm very pleased with the results and so far have not had any irritation! So here is what worked for me: -At first it did not work. But that was because I was a dummy and didn't clean my face first (moisturizer is not your friend in this circumstance). I used a baby wipe to wipe down my chin/lip and let it dry… and THEN it worked. I also kept the baby wipe on hand and wiped down the area as I went, and wiped the tool too to keep it clean and grippy. SO– use it on CLEAN skin with NO product. -It worked for me both in the direction of hair growth AND opposite hair growth, but was MORE effective when I held it upside down in a U shape and went UP on my face so it was pulling the hairs opposite the hair growth– and this manoeuvre felt similar to threading. -It did seem to break some of the very fine/shorter hairs, but for the most part it removed the longer hairs from the root. It did not remove ALL the hairs, but removed enough that it does not show up in close up selfies, and honestly looks more natural than waxing because there are still SOME teeny tiny hairs. -Once I got the hang of how to use it, it only took about 5 min to do my entire lip and chin. I found it was more effective the quicker I went, and was less painful than tweezing/waxing! I kept my slanted tweezers handy and ended up plucking a few stray hairs but it was QUICK!kaffeinejunkie
Turning the ARROWS simplified: with the Tweezerman LOGO FACING YOU; the handles must be turned INWARDS ( towards the center between the two handle ends) If the BLANK SIDE is FACING UP, the handles must be turned OUTWARDS (away from the center). One cannot just randomly pick up the remover and start turning because on one side the arrows face one direction and on the flip side the arrows face the opposite direction. Verify this for yourself! I couldn't figure out why one time it would work and the next it wouldn't – arrow turning directionality is the answer. Also, alternately turning of the handles works better than trying to turn them simultaneously. Use longer, non-curved side-bar for cheeks, chin, under-chin and forehead. I go two directions: firstly with the side-bar perpendicular to the ground, then again with it parallel to the ground. Using this cross cut method makes sure the job gets done. Thanks to this simple, handy hair remover I no longer waste money on threading my lip or face and find this technique with a coil more effective too. Yes there is a learning curve and anyone who says it doesn't work has not used it properly. Yes, the process is somewhat painful at first but as the hair is removed it becomes proportionally tolerable and indicates the area is done. This leaves the skin naturally hair-free looking versus the harsh lines waxing leaves behind. So I've bought two of these in the past year, (the flawless white, then the blue flawless pro) and now I'm having to potentially buy a third one because no matter how long I charge it, clean it, it just straightup stops working after a few months. It'll glitch a lot and then just stop working entirely. BUT the reason that irritates me so much is because when it's working it works great!! It is the best product I have found for my aggravating peach fuzz, as my skin is sensitive to anything else. You don't feel a thing, it really gets it all, you just have to be patient and sometimes go over a spot several times. But it will take care of all those annoying hairs eventually. It works for me! I'm medium (olive/tan skin) and I was worried it wouldn't work but so far its not painful for me and I can see a difference in hair. It doesn't do a good job with my thick chin hairs but it's great for upper lip that are finer hairs and for my legs and pits. I purchased this product last summer and began using it immediately. I love that I don't need to purchase gels to use with this, like many other machines, because I'm allergic to the ingredients in the gels. I used this for 5 weeks and really began seeing results mid-summer. I had to discontinue use of this due to pregnancy. However, it's February now, and I can still see the results. I still have a lot of hair growth, because I didn't use it for the full 8 weeks, but all hair that was removed during the summer is still gone. It has not grown back. Please understand that hair grows in cycles. This machine is only supposed to be used once per week for 8 weeks…possibly a little longer. While we may be impatient and want to get faster results, using it more frequently will not yield faster/better results because hair grows in cycles. You can't kill hair growth after you already killed it. You also can't kill hair growth that is not in active growing stage yet. I really started to notice results after 4 weeks of use because I was able to see the thinning of the hair that was growing in. After the 8 weeks of use are done, you may still need to use a round of it from time to time, as we develop new hair follicles every so often. This does not mean that the machine doesn't work. I too had high hopes for this product after having done lots of research. I too have fair skin and dark hair which should be the ideal combination for success. I followed all manufacturers recommendations for preparation prior to use. I "used up" the flash head that came with the unit and the overall result is absolutely no change in either the amount of hair or it's rate of regrowth. (Reality check…. the flash is used up when it no longer fires…. not after 5000 or however many flashes. That is a scam on an already overpriced item of questionable value) I went so far as to only use the unit on the high setting and was doing two, 10 minute sessions per day. Still no visible results. Great packaging…… convincing sales and video presentation on the ME web site……. but none of those things translate into an effective device. For what it does the price should be in the $10 to $15 dollar range. For close to $400 I expect to see results. Do not buy! It's a huge waste of money.BikerReverend

After almost 45 years of shaving my legs, I finally decided to purchase the Braun epilady shaver. My Sister has been using this product for 25 plus years and swears by it. My first experience with it was a bit ouchy But after the first initial shaving, each time gets better and better. I did not have to shave again for over a week after the first time. The second time (less painful) and minimal hair growth was visible. Im not very hairy so I now only have to use the Braun shaver about every two weeks. Eventually, I will only have to use it maybe once a month. My Sister says she can now go almost two months with very little hair growth because she has been using it much longer than I have. I was skeptical that this product would work since I tried another product that was shaped like a tube of lipstick, but was no more than a cutsie electric shaver. This product turns out to be awesome. I didn't experience the pain it said I might and my skin didn't get irritated or swollen. My skin feels soft and hair free! It states it may take a few times for the hair to completely be removed, but I like the way my skin feels as opposed to waxing. The only criticism I have is I had to call Braun because their pictures in the brochure are confusing. Their customer service representative clarified my questions.Colie
I'm still on the fence about this product. It does what it's supposed to do, but there's a catch. Some hairs seem to break off instead of pulling out at the root. I read some reviews that said it's not a real epilator, and I think that might be why some people feel that way. If hairs break, you're going to feel some stubble. I discovered that the slower I go, the less that happens. I can't seem to use this as quickly as I can shave. If I use the tool that quickly, I get lots of breakage. On the upside, the results last a long time when the hairs do pull out at the root. It's the same as with waxing — if it's pulled out, it's going to grow back pretty slowly. As for discomfort, it's kind of painful, but nothing like waxing for me. There's zero skin pulling. All I feel are what seem like lots of tiny little stings where the epilator grips the hairs and pulls them out. Waxing is faster, but for me, it hurts a lot more than this. I think it takes some patience and some trial and error. If you're like me, you're not going to get perfect results the first time. Find your pace, work slowly, and use the tool in more than one direction. Hairs grow in different directions, so moving the tool in different directions seems to work a lot better. I also need to clean out the tool frequently. If I don't, it's not as effective. As for ingrown hairs, I have experienced a few. But again, nothing like with waxing. For me, if there is an ingrown hair, it's barely beneath the surface of the skin. If I scratch it lightly with my nail or use a dry brush before I shower, it's resolved. For me, it was worth the price. I'm happy with it. I think that the longer I use it, the more I'll learn the best methods. I have very fine light blonde hair on my upper lip and chin. I've found that over the last few years (I just turned 30), it looks a bit thicker and longer than it was in my youth– and I've started looking into ways to remove it as it is unsightly in the sun/selfies. I've tried waxing but it always left me with irritation. I also just started using a retinol so waxing is no longer an option. Tweezing would take forever, and going for threading at a salon is not an option during a pandemic. I was skeptical of this tool based on the very mixed reviews but I decided to give it a try and use the advice some of the reviewers left. I'm very pleased with the results and so far have not had any irritation! So here is what worked for me: -At first it did not work. But that was because I was a dummy and didn't clean my face first (moisturizer is not your friend in this circumstance). I used a baby wipe to wipe down my chin/lip and let it dry… and THEN it worked. I also kept the baby wipe on hand and wiped down the area as I went, and wiped the tool too to keep it clean and grippy. SO– use it on CLEAN skin with NO product. -It worked for me both in the direction of hair growth AND opposite hair growth, but was MORE effective when I held it upside down in a U shape and went UP on my face so it was pulling the hairs opposite the hair growth– and this manoeuvre felt similar to threading. -It did seem to break some of the very fine/shorter hairs, but for the most part it removed the longer hairs from the root. It did not remove ALL the hairs, but removed enough that it does not show up in close up selfies, and honestly looks more natural than waxing because there are still SOME teeny tiny hairs. -Once I got the hang of how to use it, it only took about 5 min to do my entire lip and chin. Turning the ARROWS simplified: with the Tweezerman LOGO FACING YOU; the handles must be turned INWARDS ( towards the center between the two handle ends) If the BLANK SIDE is FACING UP, the handles must be turned OUTWARDS (away from the center). One cannot just randomly pick up the remover and start turning because on one side the arrows face one direction and on the flip side the arrows face the opposite direction. Verify this for yourself! I couldn't figure out why one time it would work and the next it wouldn't – arrow turning directionality is the answer. Also, alternately turning of the handles works better than trying to turn them simultaneously. Use longer, non-curved side-bar for cheeks, chin, under-chin and forehead. I go two directions: firstly with the side-bar perpendicular to the ground, then again with it parallel to the ground. Using this cross cut method makes sure the job gets done. Thanks to this simple, handy hair remover I no longer waste money on threading my lip or face and find this technique with a coil more effective too. Yes there is a learning curve and anyone who says it doesn't work has not used it properly. Yes, the process is somewhat painful at first but as the hair is removed it becomes proportionally tolerable and indicates the area is done. This leaves the skin naturally hair-free looking versus the harsh lines waxing leaves behind. My concerns: sensitive skin,, serum delivery and facial massage. Overall note: Vibration is not very fast so not “ultrasonic” if you’re looking for that kind of massage device, but it is wonderful! I prefer that its a bit bouncy and its very easy to clean all the of heads. Epilator: I had a Braun epilator FOR YEARS so I suspect the quality of this epilator is very good and hopefully this will be the same. Never rusted and cleaned very easily. Serum massage head: bouncy and has a strange ‘stiff/not so stiff’ setting at the top, which I dont really understand. However its very easy to clean and does a great job of delivering with its smaller head into the sides of my nose. Best with oil and moves with ease because the plate slightly bends across the curves of your face. Brush: not as fast as one would normally see in say the Clarisonic, but I dont use it for my face, just body brush and is gentle enough for that. Criticisms for improvement: The stand alone would have given it 4 stars because it is a ridiculous piece of plastic to keep the machine upright, but nothing else? I have to lay out a towel after washing the heads because the lid only fits over the epilator. Then I keep them all in the suede bag provided because its semi-rigid. Will probably use my own bag because drying takes a while. Would recommend for someone who does a medium amount (2-3x times a week, less than everyday) routine because I’m not sure how much the replacement of the brush will cost…but is a really good entry level skin care item that introduces you to many marketable skin care fads, and I’m sure I’ll find out through this, what is important to me.Neonyellowhighligher
Braun FaceSpa Pro 911 It is a very sleek and modern looking beauty tool and I love the Rose Gold detailing which make it look expensive and high quality. It is also very light and sits nicely in your hand. To review this product fully I feel you really need to break it down into the 3 different areas the product focuses on. The Epilator head – I was excited to try this as I had never used an epilator on my face before. After charging the device it was a bit daunting as a 1st timer to watch (and hear) the little epilator head spinning around and contemplate using this on your face however following the instructions in the handbook and stretching the skin it delivered really effective results. It was a little bit nippy to begin with but any redness died down within minutes and left me with a smooth upper lip. I also trialled the product on my stray eyebrow hairs and found it really quick and easy to use with brilliant results. The Cleansing Brush – Personally I was a little disappointed with this part of the spa. I had hoped it would deliver a deep clean and clear out any clogged pores or blackheads that I had but unfortunately the brush doesn’t work into my pores in this way. I also found the built in timer a bit annoying as it was never quite long enough to work on one area of my face and the brush stops rotating for a couple of seconds when the timer reaches the end before starting up again, good idea in theory but I would have liked to have been able to turn this function off. I also feel like I have used a LOT more of my cleansing product than I would have applying by hand as without product on the brush the bristles can feel a bit rough after a while if your skin is very dry (like mine). Overall it did work well to remove leftover makeup but didn’t deliver quite the results I was hoping for The MicroVibration Head – Again I think I had possibly put my expectation of what this would deliver on a pedestal before actually trying the product but I was very disappointed. On a positive, the head felt nice and cool on first touch against your skin and then almost delivers a slight warming feel when using it. The microvibration is a nice sensation on cheeks but (onto the negatives) felt a bit like a drill against boney areas such as my forehead, cheekbones and chin! The timer function also comes into play with this head and is again rather annoying as I would prefer a smooth constant movement from one area to another rather than a disjointed gap, it is also quite noisy when vibrating which takes away from the relaxing spa feel it should create. I was using more product again than usual too and after using the head still ending up using my fingertips to finish applying my cream as I felt a lot of my moisturiser was still sitting on my face and wasn’t rubbed in fully. To summarise, I think the product is a great idea in theory but has a lot of downsides. It looks great but in my opinion it is overpriced for what it actually delivers and I feel the only part I will use regularly is the epilator head. All in all, a very expensive epilator.Nicole2107
I was really excited to try this out, I have at times very fuzzy peach hair, some days it’s not noticeable and other days it’ll catch the light and I’ll stare in horror and wonder if people see that all the time! I decided to try out the brush head first using a face wash with it, it was so so relaxing and my skin felt so much cleaner than any previous methods I’ve tried. I always find my forehead needs more attention than the rest of my face but I usually end up scrubbing it raw trying to exfoliate it. But the brush is the PERFECT amount of rough vs soft, my skin didn’t sting at all after using it and it’s the softest it’s ever felt. Without a doubt my favourite attachment for the FacePro that I’ll use every day! The epilator head for the FacePro works just as you’d expect, it’s feels scary and unnatural putting it on your skin at first but I quickly got used to the sensation! And my face is finally hair free in the right places! I also used this to shape and define my eyebrow, works wonders. I decided to use the microvibrating head last to apply some moisterier after exfoliating, at first it didn’t seem to do much, and I only really felt it ‘massaging’ on my cheek bones? But once I had finished applying the moisterier I could feel it had definitely helped to even my skin tone and brought some colour to my face whilst evenly distributing my moisterier. The only downside is although the FacePro doesn’t have a lot of buttons it wasn’t very clear how to use it from the instructions. The difference between the normal and ‘turbo’ mode was very subtle too so figuring out what setting it was on was confusing at times! Though I did discover it has a handy ‘lock’ setting so you can put it in your bag for travel safely without worrying about it accidentally turning on. Thoughtful plus! It comes with a little pouch for the attachments and a cute circle stand. I love the rose gold/copper colour and this would make a lovely gift to a mother, sister, friend etc. It’s so convienent having multiple features on one device and definitely feels like a luxurious ‘spa evening’ whenever I do my skin care routine now. I rarely leave feedback on products but this one deserves it. I have really fine “peach fuzz” on my face. Since my skin is so sensitive, waxing isn’t an option. I use an epilator on my legs so I figured I would try an epilator on my face. For the most part, this epilator removes hair. Of course it’s not permanent but it’s better than shaving. Yes, it does hurt at first but after using it several times it truly gets far, far less painful….with the exception of the area above my lips. This area still hurts me and I’ve been using the epilator for about a year. One of the biggest problems with the epilator is knowing how much pressure to apply when using it. If you press too softly It doesn’t take out the hair but if you press too hard it will irritate your skin. WORST OF ALL, if you don’t pull your skin tight during use, the roller will catch your skin and pinch the crap out of you. A few times I’ve been pinched even when pulling my skin tight. I don’t have this problem with the epilator that I have for my legs. I don’t know if the pinching is caused by a design flaw or if it’s user error but either way it still hurts. I am almost 50 years old so my skin isn’t as firm as it used to be but it’s also not as loose as say a Basset Hound so why it grabs my skin is a conundrum. Maybe the company needs to add a few warning notes to the packaging regarding skin types and issues one might have using the epilator. I can’t possibly be the only one to have this problem so I just wanted others to be aware of this annoying and painful issue with the epilator.Rebecca
Since I was a first time user of a facial epilator, I turned to the enclosed instruction pamplet that came with the Braun FaceSpa Pro 910, only to find it quite lacking, there was one page that had a face diagram showing areas that you could use the epilation head on. The epilator head rotates clockwise by pressing the button on the left and counterclockwise on the right, but it does not indicate which direction you should be using other than say use in the direction of the hair growth. I started out using it on my upper lip and chin area realizing that I had the rotation going the wrong way, soon as I corrected it I noticed how well it was removing all of the excess hairs. About a week later I did go back over those same areas to remove a couple of hairs that had regrown, but since then the area has remained pretty much hair free. Compared to waxing that same area I feel this process is less painful and waxing does not remove the actual root like this process does. The areas where I removed the hair the skin did not show any signs of redness or irritation, but did become very dry. I started using the cleansing brush attachment with a mild facial wash followed up with a thick moisturizer and that seemed to alleviate the issue.SuzzyQ
