Best Foundation For Light Skin With Pink Undertones (2024 Update)

I love this foundation! The formula is amazing! So I will start by saying I received this complimentary from Influenster and the shade would have been the correct color if it had not been me going to CA + getting a tan! So now I would say I am Porcelain/Vanilla 🙂 when I am really dark Ligjt beige these are all the neutral undertones! When this foundation first came out they did not have as many fair shades as they do now which I love because us pale girls in Oregon know the struggle. I will note that the "porcelain" shade is a bit darker than at what you would normally label as porcelain so just a thing to keep in mind 🙂 Here is my run down of this foundation: LOVE: – This foundation creates a peerless appearance for me (I am very oily) and I love how the texture isnt fully exposed – I love the shade range of colors too faced has to offer with this – The coverage is amazing I do tend to have circles under my eyes, redness, and pores and this covers it ALL! (Saya medium coverage but for me it's more full which I love) -Little goes a long way and it doesnt oxidize like crazy or turn super orange -Although its hydrating it IS oily free so I love how I fo t get slick after a few hours! co-stars on wonderfully greatly paired with a peerless primer! The only con I would say about this is perhaps the form of application. I do like how this looks better with a brush than a beauty blender. Bit personal preference I know others who use this with a blender and it's pretty so take that with a grain of salt. Definitely worth the price as it lasts about 6 to 8 months 🙂 Love how effortless my skin looks with this foundation and I need to try the concealer also!clpbeautyy

I would not consider the foundation as medium full coverage I would consider it as a full coverage. my skin is very acne prone with lots of scarring and combination skin. this with one coat plus maybe a few touch ups provided enough coverage to go with it. it felt very light it wasn't setting heavy on my skin as a lot of the other full coverage foundations do that I have tried. the only complaint I have is possibly the staying power it kind of tended to wipe off around my mouth area but that was like 8 hours of wearing it so that's not really a complaint I would say lol. I was very hesitant about posting a picture without it on because I tend to be self-conscious about my face without having any makeup on. but for people like me that has trouble skin I wanted to show you guys how well this product worked for my skin. a lot of the times we view foundations on advertisements that show the before and after pictures with someone with already beautiful flawless skin and it kind of deceives the idea of if not people with skin problems should purchase it or not because it doesn't show us how well it would work for our kind of skin. that's one thing I can say that I cannot stand about makeup advertisements is they show the product before and after on someone with flawless skin so it really doesn't give us a good idea of how well the product even works.. I have tons of bottles of foundations that I've bought based on advertisements that are just sitting in my makeup containers. this would be a great purchase. however my before and after pictures are me applying the foundation about 1:00 p.m. and wearing it until I would say about 10:00 p.m. the picture with the foundation on is with a drugstore primer the foundation and then a drugstore setting powder that's all and then later the night when I took the foundation off that's when I took the after picture of my skin with nothing on it beside the moisturizer. When I initially received this foundation item in the mail, upon opening the package, I noticed the shade name for the exact foundation I received is 'Almond.' Having tested this product on my skin daily for over a week's time, I personally do not find that shade name to be a genuinely accurate descriptor, as I mentioned earlier on. I agree that this product, as advertised, could be considered a medium to full coverage foundation. However, if you are looking for a foundation item to entirely cover small moles or sunspots/freckles, if you do not wish for that appearance in your look, then this is probably not the ideal foundation product for that purpose. I do find this foundation creates a pretty flawless, even, and almost 'airbrushed' sort of finish. I found unfortunately, that for my own skin, which is a combination type, I honestly would not put this foundation as my first choice for repurchasing, as I feel that while this product does genuinely live up to its advertised claims regarding moisturizing effects and ingredients, for my skin type, it was actually over-moisturizing were it a product I'd c continue using on a daily or even every other day or so schedule. The coverage and pigmentation/shading of this foundation was medium to full coverage and lasted all day, with mild to moderate activity, including walking my dogs and other fairly simple day to day activities. This foundation product held up with consistent, even, lasting coverage throughout the duration of my trial period of over a full week using this product daily for at least the first week and a half, then closer to every other day following that period of time. Bottom line, although I do think there are many positive qualities to this product, it was in fact, too oily for my day to day use. I will most likely use this product sporadically as more of a targeted spot/redness concealer, taking care to only apply a thin layer of this product with each application.SamanthaF8

This is a very good and affordable foundation. I have this foundation in “Light Ivory”. The undertone of this foundation is slightly yellow, but after applying concealer and the rest of my base, the shade looks fine. (Since I purchased this foundation, the shade range has been expanded.) I find that this foundation has a medium amount of coverage that can be built up to increase coverage or sheered out if desired. Although this oil-free foundation claims to have a semi-matte finish, I find it has a radiant/ glowy finish. I have dry skin, so I like the finish of this foundation. After wearing this foundation for a few hours, my skin can get oily and require blotting/powdering. I recommend setting this foundation with powder. If you like a foundation that has a dewy or glowy finish, you may really like this foundation. This product is very affordable, although the bottle only contains 20ml of foundation. (The standard amount is 30ml.) I will continue to use this foundation and I will try different primers and powders to see if I can improve the appearance and wear of this foundation. Overall I like this product. It gives me pretty good coverage, not full coverage but it is buildable. I don't like the scent, it smells very fragranced and I enjoy fragrance-less products more. It's also a little drying on it's own and I have normal/combination skin. I HAVE to use lots of skin prep and moisturizers before putting it on, and overall I enjoy more moisturizing, glowy bases instead of matte looks, so this is a great product for people with oily skin/people who love matte, but not for me. I decided to try this foundation again recently after running out of it a few years ago. I clearly just forgot how good it was. The foundation looks beautiful on the skin and you can keep layering and building the coverage up without it looking cakey or bringing out the texture of your skin. If anything it looks smoother the more you put on. I really like the shade range this foundation has as it seems to cater to a lot of different undertones. The shade is perfect for me. The perfect shade for people on the paler side. After setting with a finishing powder, my acne prone skin looked almost airbrushed and it lasted great throughout the day even without a primer. I personally like the smell, I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s not overpowering and it did not irritate my skin. The foundation didn’t seem to cause any acne. This is my BY FAR FAVORITE foundation. I've come back to review this for the 2nd time now, last time was in November after using for a month to see how I liked it and wanted to see if it would break me out before reviewing, etc. but I've just been unable to find another foundation like this one! To start off, I have really dry, eczema skin.. but if you use a moisturizer and some setting spray on your face before putting this on, you will be fine if your skin is like mine. So, I had run out of this foundation at the beginning of the year, I should've ordered when I was getting low but I was unaware that they don't carry this one in the ulta stores, so I finished off the remainder of this too faced foundation I had (not the same but works good) and that started getting low so I went into my local ulta to see if I could maybe find something similar to it. Nothing similar but a worker recommended a Smashbox matte foundation for me since I have dry skin… and I returned in within 2 days because I just couldn't.. it enlarged my pores and had barely any coverage at all. So I was out of town and went and visited another ulta, hoping I could return that one and find this foundation, they didn't have it either! So I settled with too face again but got a shade too dark. So now I have to return yet again (ulta is about to be sick of me lol) but I'm almost thinking about returning this, and going foundationless for a while until I can order this and have it come in the mail. Too faced is great, don't get me wrong it's definitely my 2nd choice, but nothing seems to compare to this foundation and will always be my favorite. It can withstand heat, humidity and sweat, all while making your face look flawless (not exaggerating). My forever favorite. I have been using Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation for some time now and I cannot fault it. It is the most flawless and long lasting foundation I have ever used and I have used plenty of different other brands. I have rather oily skin and tend to sweat from the head quite easily thanks to having PCOS but this foundation stays put even if I spend the entire evening dancing and getting rather warm, it barely budges unless I rub it off. Best of all, it makes my skin look absolutely flawless and silky smooth. I have found it is best applied with a foundation brush than a beauty blender or your own fingers. The brush seems to distribute it more evenly across the face and blends really well without having to use much product. I do always finish my makeup with a setting powder, I just feels it completes the look. I currently use Laura Mercier translucent loose powder which seems to work so well with this foundation. I haven't yet tried other setting powders with it. If you want a Matte, long lasting and flawless foundation, I highly recommend Estee Lauder Double Wear, it is worth the money.Jemz

Every time there's a perfect makeup, a company has to go and change the ingredients and mess it up. The price went up five more bucks, and this stuff, which used to be my #1, just isn't the same suddenly. It's greasy when it wasn't before. What was perfect for oily/combo skin wears off fast in the oily zone. And if you're someone like me who is working all day long and sweating in your tzone, you definitely don't want it separating on your face or transferring any time you try to dab your face with a paper towel. It also feels sticky like it won't dry after you put it on, and it's really hard to put any kind of powder or setting powder over it when it's so tacky. I used to LOVE the coverage and how long it lasted, but it's different now. And this isn't the kind of stuff you can just touch up. You have to completely redo your whole face or it looks terrible and caked on in splotches! I shouldn't have to keep smoothing it over my skin the whole day just to keep it from settling in every tiny line on my face…I'm 34, I don't even have the kind of aging skin that this tries to make me look like I have lol! Why did they fix something that was never broken?! Nothing good ever lasts, they always try to cheapen it up and charge more. It is a very good foundation. It is easy to apply and lasts on the skin. The texture is light, does not burden the skin and does not give the feeling of a mask. I'm the type of person who likes a medium to full coverage foundation that won't dry out my skin. I used to wear Estée Lauder double wear until I found this gem!!! I absolutely love it. I have dry skin and many brands don't wear well throughout the day that aren't drying.I find this last from morning to night with very little change. I didn't particularly enjoy this product. I purchased it because I have numerous overly dark foundations that need to be mixed with something else so I can wear them. What attracted me to this specific one is the cheap price for the quantity and also the fact that it's an illuminating foundation, which normally is my cup of tea. As mentionned, it's dewy/glowy but the problem is that it never really dries down. I have a few other products that are staying a bit tacky but this was more than just a bit. If I have to blow my nose of scratch my face I'm majorly screwed. The normal solution would be to set it but I found that whenever I was mixing this with a foundation, it looked kind if heavy in certain areas of my face and especially between my brows. Sometimes I set my face, although it's very rare and I would've with this whitener had it not make my foundation look heavy. If I add powder I know it'll be a cakefest on my face. And I know I'd have to put quite a bit of it for the tackyness to go. In the end I had to use other products I own like the in order to lighten my foundations. This one unfortunately just didn't work out on my skin. Some people with different skin types than mine might love it but as for me it's a dud.sarah.l

I love the way this feels on my skin and how light it feels. It looks nice and wears well so far. I have tried with different primers and without primers and have really enjoyed it. Definitely worth trying and it claims to be sheer buildable coverage, blurs imperfections, evens skin tone and all day hydrating all of which I think are true claims. It is vegan, formulated without talc, parabans, formaldehyde, Phthalates, mineral oil, sulfates and fragrance which is great and is cruelty free! Definitely recommend and worth trying! Finally, a foundation that is a true Porcelain and not covered with orange and brassy undertones! 🚨Alert for my fellow pasty people, this is a gorgeous creamy Porcelain tint. I love that it is vegan🐰🌿 and packed with coconut milk🌴 and aloe extracts that nourish the skin. The consistency is liquid but without a viscosity that runs everywhere, it will stay put where you apply it. It can be applied with stippling fingers, a beauty blender or a fluffy brush for best results. It is not chalky on the skin and doesn’t leave a chalky feel after application. A lot of “porcelain” tinted products pump up the “talc” to achieve the proper tint, this one does not. It’s lightweight on the skin, blurs imperfections beautifully, and is buildable friendly. I’d like to know how this holds up in humidity and warmer weather, but in cold weather it’s holding up flawlessly. This will be a new staple in my travel bag! 🧳angela.m

I really wanted to love this product because I'm a huge fan of clinique skincare (the clinique 72h moisturizer is my holy grail) but it was honestly terrible. I'd literally rather use dream matte mousse. It had an unblendable consistency, even with tons of primer and moisturizer underneath, it was blotchy. It was not hydrating and actually mattified/dullified my skin. It looks cakey, definitely the 'i'm wearing lots of foundation' look. I hope this product works better for others, I see it has good reviews too but I highly suggest trying it in store before purchasing because I just could not make this foundation blend or look natural no matter what I tried.TeresaBieger

I've been using this as my foundation for about six months (through winter, into spring) along with the Clinique setting powder – I got both in a sale on Ulta. I apply it with a beauty-blender type sponge and it has good coverage. I also think the variety of color options are good. I am very fair skinned with neutral-warm undertones and I sometimes have a hard time finding foundations that don't make me look orange or pink. I do not have that problem with this foundation. Now for the cons. The most significant con that I want people to know about is that this product will settle into fine (and not-so-fine) lines and just generally separate and cake up as the day goes on. As I mentioned, I use the Clinique setting powder, and I also use a setting spray (that I have used for years with success, until now) and I still have problems with this makeup moving around and wearing off in a really obvious and ugly way. I think honestly the fact that this has such good coverage to start is it's downfall when it wears off because it's just so obvious. The other con with this makeup is more subjective, but as soon as a started using this makeup I started getting blemishes on my skin. I am not prone to breakouts and trend on the dry-side, I do however have somewhat sensitive skin. These blemishes I would not describe as a true zit- they didn't have a head on them. They were more just raised red irritated pores that would pop-up during the day and then mostly go away at at night while I slept (i.e. when my face was clean). I thought maybe my skin needed to adjust but it never went away, even after I tried changing up my cleansing/exfoliating routine in the hope that it would help. I will be switching back to my previous foundation – bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream. I picked this out because the girl at Ulta said this would be good for what I was looking for. I told her my main problem is finding a foundation that DOESN'T just sink into fine lines and that I also have issues with some dry spots sometimes so I didn't want anything too drying. She said this foundation would be what I was looking for. Completely wrong. And very upset I wasted money on this. Not only does it look powdery and dry on my face, it sinks and cakes up into EVERY little spot it can. Unless I keep my face perfectly still it turns the faint lines in my forehead into massive ravines. Oh and if you so much as touch your face it leaves a finger print behind where it came off on your hand or whatever else touched your face. It's been cool where I am so I've not experienced what happens when it's hot outside but I'd hate to see what this foundation does when I sweat even the tiniest bit. I received a deluxe sample from Sephora in color 220 Linen. I was excited to try this foundation because I like the description of the product and no fragrance. This is an easy foundation to apply. I used a brush and my fingers. No problems. I like the thin consistency and it feels so lightweight on the skin. On first application, I really liked this foundation. My skin looked refreshed, hydrated, and dewy. I did power my face with Too Face Peach Perfect since I am very oily. This is a medium coverage foundation that is buildable, but if you get to full coverage this is a very cakey foundation. It does not look cakey at first, but as your oil break through, this does get cakey. This does not separate, but at the end of the day, cake face. This foundation requires a light hand. If you have no skin imperfections, this is a beautiful foundation. For my oily skin and my hyperpigmentation and dark spots, this is a pass for me.christina.p

I heard so many good reviews on this foundation, so I was very disappointed when I finally tried it and saw its performance. I don’t know how it can look so dry on my oily-combination skin and it emphasizes all my texture, blemishes, and dry spots. I tried various methods to make it work—used different moisturizing primers, setting sprays, application tools. The combination of methods I found the most helpful was to use a very dampened sponge, set with translucent powder, and set with a hydrating spray. But even then, I could still see a lot of my texture especially on the areas with blackheads, and it was also starting to look cakey. I surely have textured skin but it’s never emphasized like this with other foundations I’ve tried before. My guess is that this formula was intentionally made dry so that once the natural oils of the skin start to come out, they would balance out—hence the “self-refreshing” feature. I did find the finish to improve after a few hours of application, but it still wasn’t particularly nice and my texture was still emphasized and my skin still looked dry. Without a setting powder, it also looks shiny in an unflattering way. I just don’t know how to make this foundation work. The only good thing I can point out is the shade range. I have medium olive skin and 340 Oak is a perfect shade match.missganda

My new favorite foundation! I’m always on the hunt for the latest foundation. I’ve moved on from Tarte, IT Cosmetics and Ilia… I usually look for something that will make me look natural, not heavy and provide medium coverage. I found it! I have combination skin and this tames down my t-zone. I love the coverage too! I feel like I get a filtered look without looking too heavy. Its waterproof but not hard to remove. Its buildable too and easy to apply. I also love the pump container where you can twist to close and open- makes it travel proof. I don’t like lids because I always lose them. I originally purchased the Sand color using the Shade Finder but it was too light on my light/medium neutral skin. The Pine shade was a better fit. Will repurchase again.coffeeandcake

Review for Shade LG2: I never thought my skin tone was golden. For the longest time, I thought I had cool undertones. Anyways, on a whim, Zulily had a sale on this PUR “Love Your Selfie” foundation/concealer and I splurged on this $19.99 find because I was tired of my powder bare minerals foundation (in the lightest shade they offer) looking too orange on my face and I love clean beauty products. This did not disappoint! It went on smoothly and I felt I could adjust how many drops to put on based on the kind of coverage I was seeking. Here I used one drop for minimal coverage. I have a reddish dry patch on my nose, which it did not cover well, but had I reapplied moisturizer before putting this on, it may have been OK. There was no blending necessary along my jawline because it matched my skin tone so seamlessly! I wish this was a bit more hydrating and didn’t cling to the dry spot on my nose, hence why I gave it 4/5 stars. I have sensitive skin but this did not break me out at all. Highly recommend.aileen.d

Wow, the foundation is available in 100 shade. I like that the online color match system is spot on. I was able to get MG3, but the store did not have it. So I went with MN3. I love the pump and the doe foot applicator container. There is no smell to this foundation and I like no fragrance. I dotted this onto my face and the MN3 was a good match just not golden enough for my skin tone, but I was able to pull it off. I used a brush to apply this foundation in stippling motion where I have freckles and hyperpigmentation and buff other areas for less coverage. This was easy to buff and stipple. I have hyper pigmentation and dark spots on my cheeks and this provided a bit more coverage than my EL DW. This foundation does require to be set with a powder. Initially this foundation is beautiful. I love how my skin looked youthful and hydrated. It is soft radiant matte finish on me. My first reaction was I found my new holy grail foundation. No transfer of foundation. It looked great for 3 hours. Then at 6 hours, it was looking a bit oily. As my oils started to come through, the foundation started to move around. At the 10 hours, the foundation has sank into my pores and I was greasy. EL DW holds up longer. This foundation does slightly irritate my skin, I could feel a tingling and slight burning on my face when my oils started to combine with the foundation. I think this would be beautiful for those with dry skin.christina.p

I was recently at an Ulta store and this product was recommended by an Ulta employee and matched to my tone. This is not at all what I was looking for. I explained I have used both Estee Lauder Long wear which can be too thick at times and to the other extreme, bare minerals tinted. I was looking for build able, not something clump over textured parts of my skin, not get into my pores and something natural looking in between the 2 formulas above that I have used. I am fine with using a setting spray of which I also purchased from this brand. Very unnatural looking, cakes, clogs pores, thick, and the setting spray sets the mess in place. Maybe great for younger folk or those that don't have dry skin. I'm a bit bewildered why this was recommended to me at all given it is the exact opposite of what I described in what I wanted. Maybe it was commission based recommendation . Either way, terrible for me and exactly what I didn't want. On days I need a wee bit extra, I'd stick with Estee Lauder. As far as easy application, a build able Bb cream or Bare Minerals tinted with a sweep of mineral veil or something comparable. on vacation right now and this is pretty awful. not cheap to look this bad. My face looks blotchy, dirty, clumpy. it's second time only I've ever let an Ulta employee match me. ironically this first was also a lipstick from this brand, once it other lighting, it looked awful. Would give a 0 if I could. Mosturized twice , primed and then tried for the first time and will never use again ! It’s like liquid chalk , almost impossible to move on the face . Honestly reminded me of using a zinc SPF. I looked like a cakey clown afterwards and yet left the house thinking I’d give it a shot … got home and I had pores and hairs and dry spots that I swear to god never existed before. Background: I bought this because I use water based and serum foundations because the certain silicones break me out. I used to use MAC Waterweight but I wanted to try a cheaper one and see if it was good. (Tip: Mac Waterweight is exactly the same as Smashbox BB water, which is what I was using before but the MAC is cheaper by a few dollars and the Smashbox was D/c) Comparison: I was looking at L'Oreal Infallible foundation as that is also water based, but it looked like it settled into lines in a swatch more than this did, and that one felt sticky and didn't dry down. This one is thicker. The bottles were all clogged or empty at Ulta in the testers and the tops don't come off which is a negative. The shade range is good. I tried to comparable it to the Nyx Total Control Drops, but I feel those may be slightly lighter for the same name, but I still went with the same name in the Can't Stop Won't Stop that matched me in the Drops (vanilla), as the next ones were too orange or greenish. The Drops were closer to my MAC in texture, but they are the same price as this for less than half the amount, and price per ounce is actually expensive. Plus I wanted to try to see if a different formula was better. Application and finish: It's slightly light but blends in well. It is not full coverage. I don't think using a damp blender works with these kinds of water based foundations. It tends to break it apart with a sponge unless maybe a lot more product is used and I don't like to apply that much. I don't like the look and feel of too much foundation and find it wasteful. Application is key!! I always like the way these foundations look applied with my fingers better and often that is recommended with these types anyway. It doesn't do well over certain silicone primers. It has a natural skin like finish, slightly matte, at least compared to the very wet serum foundations. I appreciate that this dries down even without powder because those other kinds often do not and they melt easily and transfer. So far, for a water based foundation I think it's pretty good. No breakouts and there are pros above my previous foundations. The MAC has great ingredients and nice coloring, but it moves A LOT and too much powder on top makes it look cakey. I feel that the MAC is better for the skin but I'm happy with this so far especially because it stays put.Cordula

I’m a 45 year old, Native American/Irish woman with incredibly oily skin and THIS is my holy grail foundation! I have worn makeup since my teens and have struggled to find a shade for thirty years. I have tried expensive foundations, powder foundations, cheap foundations and can never get the right shade, until now and it is a perfect match. My skin is also horribly oily and most foundations shift, separate and now with being 45 settle in my fine lines, until now. I wore my Can’t Stop yesterday (moisturize, primer, foundation, powder setting spray) for 9 hours and never had to powder or use blotting tissues. I have significant frown lines and it never settled into my creases. When applying less is more and work in small areas because it dries fast. I got this product on sale for around $27, making this a steal! I think $40 is a bit too high, though. My first thoughts on the product is that looks really good! Due to the limited shades, I was worried ‘light’ would not fit my undertones, but it worked pretty well. Despite this saying it is full coverage, I think it’s more medium as my skin still shows through (which I want). It’s very lightweight and I love that it is matte, since I’m prone to be more oily. I adore this foundation/spf moisturizer!!! I don’t understand people who say it’s cakey- then don’t use half the tube!! I use quite a bit myself and it’s never been cakey, and I use my fingers- it seems the warmth of my fingers blends it perfectly!! I’ve gotten so many compliments on my skin after using this! ONLY after using this! I’ve used other products before but this seems to give such a flawless and natural finish that people think I have flawless skin! I fell in love with It Cosmetics foundation, but was seeing some break outs. Once I switched to the oil free version- no more breakouts!!! This is full coverage, which is great because I have Rosacea. I use a flat top brush to apply and set it with powder. Make sure you wash your face and moisturize before applying. Let your moisturizer settle as well! Because this is a full coverage foundation, I wipe a little off around creases in my face and set with translucent powder. Dermablend was recommended to me for full coverage foundation that wouldn't break me out and it was drying and flakey- this stuff is liquid gold. You've got moisturizer and SPF 50! (You still need to moisturize before- and if you see flakey spots pat on some lotion and let it sit). Perfect color match, my skin is so fair, I was glad to not have to bronze my body for once to match my face.Ally

I’m a sunless tanner and it’s been a true struggle to find a #legitfullcoverage foundation to ensure my face and hands match my body (due to hand washing and exfoliation) and doesn’t end up looking splotchy as the day goes by – until now! I found #Dermablend to be the #realdeal – It is highly pigmented as it was originally formulated for folks with vitiligo in mind. This cream has true ability to provide absolute and undeniable full coverage, is a fantastic bang for buck spent, comes in variety of shade options, seamlessly blends last but not least, has legit longevity. All of the boxes were checked for me. Dermablend products are my new ride or die! COLLAGE: pics show Dermablend Cover Creme in shade 60N (cafe brown). Comes with a little scraper tool. Hand pics show the blend of coverage from full to sheer as needed. PIGMENTATION: A little goes a long way, even if using for full coverage. I used half the amount shown on the scraper and spread it for coverage on the entire front of my hand. BLENDING: Blending is a dream, likely due this being a cream. As shown in pics, the shade is significantly darker than my hand but I was able to blend it in to my hand and it covered all uneven tones in my tan skin seamlessly by just spreading it in circular motions using my fingers. LONGEVITY: This alone will stay on my normal skin from morning until night when I remove my makeup. It not only stays in place but looks exactly as good in the pm as it does in the am. INGREDIENTS: The label mentions it is free of Parabens, Phthalates, Triclosan, Sodium lauryl sulfate (sls). I am still gaining a proper understanding of ingredient listings so I included a picture of the ingredient list in case it would help in the interim. I absolutely love how Dermablend's Cover Creme only contains what you need and nothing you don't. No perfumes, no silicones even. When you melt the thick creme with your fingers it turns into a soft light creme that gives natural looking high coverage with only a thin layer. It covers! This creme is a little different from other ones I have used. If using a foundation brush, you will need to scrap the foundation onto the back of you hand using the little “spatula” they provided for you. Put the desired amount on your hand, and “warm” it up by mixing it to make it creamy and ready for application. This foundation is pretty thick so I did have to get used to it. It covers extremely well and has 30 SPF in it – this is definitely my go to when I am outside for long periods of time, at the beach, the pool, or out on the boat. The foundation itself is longwear, not moveable! It covers so well and is somewhat heavy; I will only use it for certain occasions as I don’t feel like this is good for me for everyday wear. I'd been looking at this for weeks before I took the plunge and ordered it. I was nervous about ordering a foundation without being able to see it, but thought that as I could return it if it was unsuitable I'd give it a go. I ordered the shade medium, even though I'm slightly on the paler side. WOW!!!! I absolutely love it. Didn't feel heavy on my skin, and as a maturing lady (40) it doesn't sit in any fine lines making them look worse. My skin was glowing in a good way. It looks like my skin, but better!! I literally swept the product all over my face which took approximately 30 seconds, and wow the difference was amazing. Bit of mascara and lip balm and that was me. I don't want to spend ages with make-up for the day as I'm lazy when it comes to make-up, and this is the answer, although it would be just as good for an evening look. I am a user of Nars and Koh Gen Do foundation. I was looking for an alternative for every day easy application with coverage and I think that Laura Geller balance-n-glow fits well into my routine. I have never used a powder foundation so I don't have anything to compare this to but am pleasantly surprised on how much I like the texture, coverage and ease of application. Finding the correct color is a bit difficult and also finding the correct product is a bit difficult. I tried the balance-n-glow first, then tried balance-n-brighten. I think the balance-n-glow is probably the product that I will continue to use because it is not so matte looking on my face. I was a bit skeptical about the glow, but it is very pleasant or me. I sort of mimics the soft looking liquid foundation that I have been using! I like for my foundation to be a bit on the lighter side so I can add the darker bits, so if you are like me, I would recommend getting one shade lighter than you think you need.none

Foundation that covers well without having to apply too much. I wanted something I could wear as a setting powder to my it cosmetics foundation, or something I could leave on alone for simpler days. This foundation does lay on nice and smooth. I would definitely by the poofs to use this foundation. I tried using a brush, and I’m not if I just don’t have a dense enough brush. I bought the light, I normally buy light foundation in tons of brands and this does seem a little darker when using the poof to apply. I kinda wish I got fair for the winter, but I know, I’ll warm up in the summer months, and this will be just fine. I have been using this same foundation for years with no issues. Within the past 6 months, however, it has been really watered down? The makeup will squirt out mostly water with splotches of makeup in it… it reminds me of oil and water the way it separates. I've shaken it up really good and even pulled the cap off and mixed it and it doesn't help. I wish they'd fix this issue, because i really loved this makeup!! I still use it. Not every bottle does this, but the ones that do are messy and a waste of money. I love this makeup but gave it one star so the issue with some of the bottles are made more aware. This was a sample given to me.#freesample I put on 2 layers for full coverage. I love that it's a pump so no cross contamination, straight from pump to my sponge applicator. The coverage is nice and silky blendable, and buildable. I didn't have to use but a tiny amount of concealer I noticed especially under my eyes. It contains pro-retinol A+ and vitamin c supposed to be for anti aging. Iv only used it this once so I'll post back next week to see if there's any results there🤷 otherwise this has became one of my top 3 favorite foundations. Almay, I love that your products are hypoallergenic, but I don't understand why, if you specialize is sensitive skin (so most likely your clientele is post 35, as skin becomes more sensitive with age), all your foundations are either matte or for oily skin. Where are the moisturizing dewy, luminescent foundations for women mid-late 30s and older? I am 43, and have light warm toned skin. I bought this foundation because I needed something hypoallergenic that doesn't irritate and give me a rash, and it said the product was moisturizing so I bought it. My first disappointment is that your color options are all either cool or neutral in the light and medium shades. There are no lighter shades in a warm undertone. So I got the neutral buff. It's an okay color, but too ashy, almost a slight green/gray tint against my fair golden undertone skin. Ashy tones are aging. The finish is quite matte and looks cakey. I used my fingers; maybe I'm supposed to use a sponge, but I don't like to do that as you actually waste a lot of product with sponges. I actually consider your Skin Shade Matching foundation 'matte' but compared to this one, it's almost dewy, maybe because it's less heavy. So I guess I'll stick with that one instead. If you are age 13-27, have oily skin, and want a matte foundation with fuller coverage, have either neutral or cool skin tone, this foundation will likely be a good fit for you. If you are in your 40s+ and have dry skin, I can't see this being super flattering. Please make a dewy finish foundation specially for dry/mature skin!Ginger1

*** Product bought with my own money *** Application method : sponge PROS : – average consistency that’s easy to blend, – instant true matte finish (at least on me), – decent lasting power (not stunning, just good) as long as the skin is not oily, – natural finish, neither cakey nor too makeupey, – light to medium coverage (at best), – non-drying, – comfortable to wear. CONS : – slightly gooey texture (though less gooey than Almay TLC Makeup) which is still too thick to fill in pores, – emphasizes pores immediately, – creases very badly on oily areas within 2 hours, – settles in expression lines (except around eyes which is my driest area), – average shine control, – no blurring effect (just the opposite of the so called "optical blurring technology" claim), – limited shade range, – no pump, – bad quality control. COMMENTS : This foundation is a mixed bag for me. On the one hand it has a true matte finish (which I love), is easy to blend and has a decent lasting power. But on the other hand, it creases and cakes on oily areas as soon as oil peeks through, settles in every lines (forehead and smile lines), and emphasizes pores upon contact (and even further as day goes on). I can’t see the logic of launching a true matte foundation that works only on normal to dry skin while the most logical targeted skin types should be the oily/combo ones. I can’t find a good match : 100 Cool Ivory is a touch too light (but way too pink) and 110 Neutral Buff is one to two shades too dark (but has a gorgeous yellow undertone without any peachiness). This does not necessarily worsen my rating, it just means there’s not my shade in this range. I end up mixing 100 and 110 in equal parts to get a decent match (but I hate mixing shades, it's a waste of time and product). There are at least several shades missing between 100 and 110 as there’s a huge jump between them (as shown in a joined picture). I’d like to point out the poor quality control : – the consistency of the foundation changes from one shade to another : 100 Ivory is way thicker (and has more coverage) than 110 Neutral Buff, then 120 Cool Bisque (just bought this one for comparisons) is thicker again, – the label doesn’t stick well to the bottle (there are lots of air bubbles under it) and the silver printings flake and vanish super fast. Now let’s talk about the missing pump. Seriously, Almay, how can you launch a new foundation in a glass bottle without a pump on it ??! The formula is too thick to easily pour it out of the bottle, and such an old-school bottle doesn’t offer good control over the amount of product you get (which means it's messy and there’s a waste of product). I’ve seen on your Instagram account that you claim the lack of pump is a choice of yours "to eliminate the use of unnecessary plastics in our packaging". This is hypocritical as you are still launching new products with plastic-based packagings. If you really wanted to use less plastic, without penalizing users who like the praticity of a pump, you should at least sell reusable pumps. I just think the pump was removed just to reduce the manufacturing process, nothing laudable here. I join a picture that shows I fitted pumps on my bottles. The Colorstay pump works fine (you'll have to change the pipe that goes into the product as it's too short) but the cap becomes tricky to put back as it does not touch the bottle anymore (you may accidentally press the pump if you push the cap too far). I chose to use other pumps with a 24/410 ring and a long pipe that I can cut at the right length. I also join a picture of dry swatches of the three lightest shades compared to my go-to foundation in the two shades that match me the best (Urban Decay Stay Naked in 20NN and 20WY) Will I repurchase ? Absolutely not ! Even if there was a good shade match, the overall performances are just average (except for the gorgeous-but-short-lived matte finish). Let’s hope that Revlon (which is Almay’s parent company) will launch their own version with a more sophisticated and better performing formula.Arosci

I use Almay clear cinplexion 4 in 1 since it came out, I used this line for over 20 years, a few discontinued products with better replacements til now. The new version added prebiotic and aloe, I now break out from it and this product was recommended as a replacement via email by almay, however I broke out terribly. And still don't know what to use next, I will be trying cliniques version of complexion clearing liquid foundation as a last resort, hoping to find it works the same and doesn't orrotate my sensitive skin. I used to have this on my MUST HAVES list of my make up routine back when I just started wearing makeup. I would still have it on my list if my fine lines and wrinkles weren't creeping up on me. 2.5, 3 is just honestly too generous. So first I like the shade but it does oxidize something terrible. Thankfully I use the white LA girl concealer which will highlight anything no matter how orange so whatever it was still fine. Second, I am a dewy girl, a balmy babe, I like to look WET however I still had to break out powder and double spray for this foundation! It looks…fine. But for being just a few hours into my day it could be so much better. I assumed that even though it was dewy, it would dry down with a luminous finish. It does not dry down at all. The texture it is when you first spread it onto your skin is the same texture it will be 30 minutes later. In the age of mask wearing this foundation should be on the bottom of your list, not transfer proof. not even a suggestion of longevity. I itched a pimple and was devastated to look in the mirror and see a nice tan, bronzed face with a nickel sized patch of angry pink skin where my pimple was :/ returning today as I could not work with the formula.Liz

I bought this #maybellinepressedpowder because of all the great reviews and I typically like #maybelline products. Overall I think this is a fine powder; it's very smooth, the color is perfect, and there packaging is nice. However, it's a little more sheer than I wanted. I've tried it moist and I tried applying it with a thick Kabuki brush but could not get the coverage I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I was not expecting #lancomedualfinish results, just a touch more than this product could provide. I feel the best use for this powder are touch ups, but use the #revlonvolcanicroller first so the powder won't cake in oil. Another product that I didn’t think would work well as for me foundation’s can be tricky. I love the formula it feels nice and smooth on the skin. There’s definitely a beautiful glow and you can definitely build it so if you want just natural coverage or more coverage you can certainly do that with this product. I cannot say enough good things about this foundation. I have severe eczema and the most sensitive skin. It’s almost impossible to find a product I can use on my skin that A doesn’t irritate me and B just makes my skin look dryer and flakier. I am an actress and needed a foundation for an upcoming production I’m in and found this by chance. It’s moisturizing, suits my skin color perfectly and doesn’t settle over dry patches or fine lines. I wear more tinted BB/CC creams than foundation these days but did want to find one for occasions where I do want to wear foundation. I wanted a luminating formula, light reflectors are my friend now at 55. After doing some research I purchased this in C3 Creamy Natural. This stuff is amazing! It's lightweight, 40% water so it's a bit runny but very hydrating. Has vitamins E and C, very beneficial to skin. Prefer using a sponge when applying, 2-3 pumps is usually enough for my whole face. I don't put on back of hand, use a small glass plate as it's easier for me. Blends easily and dries to a lovely finish. Beautiful illuminating look, doesn't settle into creases. Not greasy or heavy, just nice. The illuminating effect lasts for 4-ish hours. I've tried using little power to set but it took away from the illuminating effect. Doesn't feel like it needs powder but my mind feels it does. I just purchased the Loreal LUMI Spray and Glow setting spray hoping to see if it will help this last longer because this is my new favorite foundation. The effect of this foundation is similar to Perricone Md "No Foundation" Foundation and Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream (other faves) but much more affordable. According to the details of this foundation, it's an up to 24 hours wear, is waterproof, sweat-proof and transfer-proof with a buildable to a medium coverage. There are 30 shades and is suitable for all skin types. I have shade 420 -True Beige but it felt slightly too light for me probably because I tan slightly in the summertime. We'll have to see once Fall and winter arrive. This product is housed inside a glass pump container and dispenses the right amount to cover one side of your face. With a liquidy consistency, this formula has a nice shimmer in the sunlight. I used a damp sponge to apply the foundation which kind of sheered it out. Once applied, it has this tacky texture and once it dries down, it's still a bit tacky which I didn't like but it left my skin looking like skin and you couldn't tell I was wearing foundation at all. I didn't follow up with concealer or finishing powder afterwards just to see how it wears through the day. I did notice that the dark circles under my eyes were less visible so it definitely wasn't light coverage. I wore it about 7 hours and it looked as fresh as it did when I applied it initially. My skin looked fresh and radiant throughout the day. I'm really, really impressed by this foundation and I normally don't wear a lot of foundation to allow my skin to breathe. It was sweatproof and transfer proof, but breathable enough that it felt like you weren't wearing anything at all. It definitely felt lightweight, not heavy at all and didn't budge one bit and my mascara normally runs in the summer time and it didn't so I am definitely impressed. I was really surprised by this foundation! At first it seemed really thin and I didn't care for it too much because when I applied it to my brush and to my sponge it just kind of soaked in and disappeared. But then I applied it directly to my face and then used my brush to blend and it was amazing! A small amount of clothes a long way and gives great coverage. It also doesn't rub off on my masks which I sometimes have to wear for work still. It doesn't oxidize and look all gross after a few hours and can make it a full day of working out in the sun! The only downside is that there is no SPF in it. I like to use products that multitask, so if this might be more if a winter foundation for me. But if you mostly work indoors or already have products with SPF that you like, this particular foundation could be a great addition! This is not for me. Don‘t get me wrong. This has great pigment and to mix it with SPF can give you a nice coverage. But if you have dry or dehydrated skin from Tret like I do this is not for you. This makes my skin look so dry. It‘s because my skin is dehydrated and everything soaks in. But I‘m pretty sure it looks nice on normal and oily skin. If you like natural looking without foundation, take a drop and mix it with your SPF. You have to shake it well because sometimes it‘s not taking product into the pipette and it‘s of thicker consistency. You just need a half of a drop if this makes sense.justme

For buying a new foundation on-line, the 37N turned out great for my neutral medium skin tone. Just a tad light, but going into winter and my mineral powder provides enough color on top. I read the directions on-line before purchasing since this is a blendable formula you must mix each time and express any product from the applicator to get fresh product. Had some difficulty at first as it seemed product was stuck in the squeeze dropper so nothing was going into it or coming out. I was able to free up the product finally to apply. Excellent coverage that DOES NOT oxidize or fade after application. I had melasma and acne scars so coverage that doesn't fade is important. IT foundation fades after application 😐 I had this on all day without primer or setting spray just some mineral powder. Excellent staying power even after touching my face!! I have used the dermablend coverage cream foundation before but for day to day use it feels heavy and looks a little too make-upy. I like this Creator formula better as you can dictate your coverage level you want – light, medium, full.JBC

I've never left a review for anything ever but this makeup is just so so awesome that i want to shout it from the rooftops & let everyone know- this foundation is the absolute best! I discoverd this brand after an accidnt left my face badly bruised (to put it lightly) A few years ago & this was the only brand that completely coverd my bruises w/o looking caked on (Dermablend Cover Creme Full Coverage Foundation) This was my 1st time using the drops & I'm in love all over again, it's perfect for everyday use, has awesome awesome coverage while still feeling super light on my skin & lasts all day! Im actually able to get the full coverage I've been looking for with just 1 drop & even then i still have some of the tiny drop left over when I'm done! & all that at a reasonable price, another one of the reasons why I love it! I've immediately fallen in love with any of the Dermablend products I've tried. I'd recommend this foundation (& brand in general) to anyone, u can't go wrong with it- it's just the best ❤️In love

I have birthmarks all over my face, and due to Covid the makeup that I used to cover would come off on my mask, so I needed something longer lasting. I found the Maybelline 24hr Color stay and was hooked. I hadn't purchased any other foundation since, not even the more expensive product I've worn for years. Well sadly this morning after applying the last of the 24hr wear, I opened the new 30hr wear assuming it was just going to blend in and cover, but it didn't. I shook the bottle assuming that maybe I didn't mix it together, but that was not the case. The new product did not mix well with the old product and did not cover my birthmark. Normally after setting it is the perfect neutral color, but this turned orange and blotchy. I had to go in with my tried and true old creme to powder and blend because I was short on time. Really wish I could stay a customer, but product no longer covers for me, so on to the next long lasting makeup.ElleinSeattle

I initially really liked this foundation. I have very oily skin, and it was comfortable to wear through my 12 hr work-shift. I didn't notice it separating around my nose and forehead once my oils came through, and it did a nice job of keeping my oil under control overall. My issue(s) with the foundation is that it definitely oxidizes a good shade darker (at least) and I started having breakouts. I have had my acne under control for several years now, and about 2-3 weeks of using this foundation I started developing large painful acne. The foundation is the only thing which had been different in my routine, so I had stopped using it for a week to test my theory. Sure enough, my face cleared in that time and once I went back to using this I developed another round of large acne spots. It is disappointing since I am still trying to hunt down a replacement for my beloved Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation, and this initially gave me high hopes. I will not be continuing to use this product.Shawna W

PROS: – This stuff STAYS ON. When I prime correctly (moisturizing primer to prevent oil production) this foundation sets and don't budge an inch for hours and hours. I wore this in a snow storm for a wedding, getting pelted with icy snow, being bothered by my hair and my jacket's hood, and the foundation was not fazed at all. – It's definitely full coverage. I color correct underneath and I never use concealer with this foundation: it just doesn't need it. One thin layer of this is all you need. CONS: – Sets FAST. Not easy to blend for this reason. You have to move VERY quickly. – Formula is full coverage, but also pretty thick, not runny at all. This makes is easy to accidentally cake on too much, which looks particularly bad with this foundation. – Can be a bit chalky if too dry or caked on. I never set this with powder except for under my eyes. CONCLUSION: This is tricky to work with and can easily look bad, but when done right it's serious full coverage and long wear for a good price. I would recommend this as a cheap option for full coverage, long wear, formal occasion makeup, I don't see this being an effortless everyday foundation.MissVitaB
