Go with Excellence. I normally use L’Oréal Excellence but decided to tried something different and tried Preference in same shade I usually use in dark ash brown. Well, Excellence does a better job… Preference faded and washed out from my gray roots. I had to do a double take to make sure I used permanent dye. Well it was! I have partial gray areas I use the dye to cover. I don’t recall having this issue w/ Excellence. If you have gray you’re looking to cover, go with Excellence. More user friendly also since it’s cream based not liquid as well.Target Shopper

I was looking to color my hair auburn which is exactly what this product did. I had medium brown virgin hair with a few grey's. I would suggest to apply the product to the middle and ends of your hair for 15 minutes and only apply to roots for maybe seven minutes. I did get some hot roots in a small patch near the front of my hairline. I will be googling and youtubing how to correct that spot. I would definitely not keep it on my roots for the full 10 minutes the box suggests. There is not alot of multidimension color but there is definitely color change from my medium brown. I think that the product doesn't need to be as strong as it is. I don't know a ton about color, but this company should maybe use a less harsh developer? They are trying to appeal to a large audience, but they are just messing up alot of people haircoloring experience. I read alot of the reviews beforehand so I knew that my hair would go auburn. If someone just picks the box and thinks their hair is gonna have Carmel highlights they are in for a unpleasant surprise.Sarah

I thought the product was magnificent. The one application was enough to cover my entire head from root to end and when my hair is wet it lands on my shoulders and I have naturally curly hair. I have tons of white hair or with some would call grey very heavy in the front. I have been ill and having colored my hair in 6 months. My hair is naturally black but at 55 I want it to go lighter without anything pulling red. The results are absolutely stunning. Again more than enough color cover all my hair from root to end professional disposable gloves that are easy to take on and off, and a great tube of conditioner that can last me for about three applications. I received this hair color for free from Influenster for my honest opinion. I used it on my hair which tends to be dry and gets bleached out by the sun in the upper layers. I had quite a bit of white growing in certain areas and I had a lot of color difference between the upper layers and underneath where my hair was much darker. This hair color was easy to use and didn’t smell terrible while I was using it. After I rinsed it out, my hair didn’t feel like straw as is usual with hair color. This hair color was much gentler on my hair. The color difference was very subtle as my hair was sun bleached on the layers where the sun hits it anyway. My hair is naturally strawberry blonde to red and this evened out the colors and made it to where the underneath layers matched the top layers much more. It also completely covered my white hairs. I will say that the color didn’t seem to grab on to my grays as well as it could have, but that is probably because the hair was so much lighter than the color result was supposed to be. Long review here! I was so excited to try this hair color (shade 5.0) as I have dyed my hair at home for years using L'Other brands of hair color. My natural hair color is a dark brown (level 3-4) and I like to lighten and brighten my hair just to a level 5. First, I love the fully recyclable packaging even though it's not super sturdy – totally fine to sit in my bathroom. The instructions for this were typical except the developer that comes in the squeeze bottle was VERY thin, while there is a color tube that you mix into the bottle which has a thicker consistency. Once mixed, the color thickened nicely and didn't drip much. A big complaint is that the color tube was VERY hard for me to get out by squeezing; it's one of those stiff metal tubes and my hands were really suffering as I tried to make sure I squeezed it all out in order to get the intended mix. The scent of the color was slightly floral but otherwise not too offensive. I followed the directions and applied the color to my roots first, which I usually don't like doing because I get "hot roots" that turn orange. I was SO pleased that this color did not do that! The color came out even, truly neutral without any orange, and slightly darker than other "medium brown" shades I've used. (It behaves like a semi permanent color and doesn't seem to lift at all.) It covered my few grays and came off my skin decently but not completely after rinsing. It was kind of difficult to wash out due to the thickness and it did stain my towel that I used to dry my hair, which doesn't usually happen with my regular dye. I spent a really long time rinsing it before and after using the conditioner. My hair feels like it could use a bit more conditioner, but it is shiny and looks great. All in all, the fact that my roots match the rest of my hair when dyeing them first is a HUGE pro to me, outweighing the staining and the extremely difficult color tube. I have been using this product for several years. I mix two colors and I am happy with the results I get. Going to the salon to have my hair color would cost over $75.00 every 4-6 weeks. The quality of this product is very good. I used the correct concentration of developer to color ratio on a test spot. it did not lift my hair. I haven't been able to achieve HI lift color ( any brand)( and I have tried every brand) on my hair since I have had more grey hair because my dark level 6 has gotten darker with hormonal changes. That being said I believe this product is a good value and is high quality, but unfortunately i cannot use high lift colors on my hair any longer . I went back to my stylist for partial foils with bleach is the only way to lighten my resistant dark hormonal hair and tone the grey highlights to blonde. I had dark violet hair for about a year and it has proven difficult to remove the leftover red color from my hair. All I wanted was to get close to my natural light brown hair color. I went to a high end salon and paid $140 for her to butcher my color. She dyed it a brown color and added some balayage highlights. I had high hopes for the end result and was sadly disappointed. There was just as much red as before. but she also somehow made my roots several different colors, one being very orange and brassy. It was very unflattering. So, I decided to get some color oops, a deep conditioning treatment and this Wella Color Charm in medium ash brown. I used the Color Charm 20 volume developer. After all was said and done, my hair has zero red tones and it is very close to my natural dirty brown color. I was presently surprised that my roots are not all kinds of different shades because the color oops still left them funky. All in all, I would definitely recommend this if you have a sudden fear of professional stylists.amy.l

Went from a level 7 permanent red to a level 7 blonde with T35. A good round of bleach took off quiet a bit of the red but I still had really dark orange. T35 blended everything so well and made the burnt orange color a nice strawberry blonde and helped out all the other yellow and white I had going on after the bleach to make it all a really nice blonde. I didn’t have any experience with bleach or toner. Or even doing my own hair. I’ve never even been blonde before either so, thank god for strong hair.Samantha Hendricks

I love love love wella color charm! I’ve been using it since I was a kid… well 13 or so haha, I'm 29 now! and I’ve gone and used other brands, Ion (JUST DONT!) and such and I always go back to color charm… it leaves my hair nice and soft and healthy and the color holds well, for a good long time, and it always comes out a beautiful color just like the swatch, it’s never really a surprise what you end up with. Which is refreshing with hair color, you want what you intend. My mom also uses wella and has for decades! Their toners (for like blonde hair) work VERY well too. I was blonde for quite a few years in my mid 20's and after bleaching my hair, I would of course always use a toner, I'm a natural red head -before I started going gray that is, which is why I color now- so not using one isn't an option. I always used wella, except for ONCE cause something else was on sale, and it didn't work nearly as well, I actually went back out that night and bought the wella toner I usually use and the next day re-toned my hair. Worked like a charm (pun INTENDED) and I never tried a different brand again. The only other brand I prefer (and it's only for what some would call "extreme colors") is arctic fox and that's only if I'm gonna do like blue or purple. But the wella for other more "natural spectrum" colors works just as well. I'd say wella and arctic fox are even with each other quality and hair health wise. I will say when using wella color, I prefer to use the "original" liquid color rather than the gel kind, but that's because I have a LOT of hair, and the liquid one seems to go farther, and I still have to use 2 bottles, but I have to use 2 no matter what brand I buy. I also use creme developer however and I know that thickens things up, so..the liquid just does better for me. I have some friends who prefer the gel however. It's all about personal preference. I'd say give them each a try and decide how you like them yourself. They seem to make every color in their catalog in both the gel and the original liquid. (Pardon my odd face in my review photo. I didn't approve or ask for this shade! I got starry black. I'm a natural blonde. In order for me to achieve black hair that doesn't turn green after the 1st wash,I would have to do a filler color first like a medium brown. I don't want to put all those chemicals on my hair. Plus I don't want black hair! I DID NOT USE THIS! I have used feria in the past though, I have used their bleaching kit and their auburn, red and black cherry shades. It is the only box dye I will use. It not only has an essential oil you add to it for a better smell but it also helps the hair feel softer and more hydrated as well as look shiny and healthy, well as healthy as dyed hair can look. For a box dye it's not bad. If I had gotten a color I approved of I totally would have used it! My daughter has medium golden brown hair and has been debating allowing me to use this on her. I have black/brown hair with bright white grays and I use the dark brown color. The color lasts for two months . I have no problem with matching- because the color always “reveals” itself at two weeks- which is normal for all box dye in my experience. I love everything about this kit. I purchase extra gloves nitrile, hair dye brushes, cheap butterfly clips and disposable shower caps. I do it on a day where my hair is greasy because I’m about to take a shower (this protects my scalp from the color and my hair from damage). I mix the color and developer together and let it sit while I rub the pretreatment in with my gloved hands. I shake up the color a lot (60 seconds!) and after I see actual color develop I shake it some more and then start applying. I apply to the top of my hair, brushing it in and then I clip that section off. I work in sections, top, sides and back and then let the dye work for 40 minutes from when I finish applying- cover it with a disposable cap so I don’t drip dye everywhere. I use all of the bottle for my shoulder length hair. This is key!!!! You need to let the part of your hair that is seen the most sit for the entire time. I rinse it out with cold water only (gloves!!!) and then add the conditioner (the whole tube) and let it set in my hair for 5 minutes (also in a cap) before rinsing it out with cold water and washing it with color safe shampoo in cold water. I do not apply this with a comb. There is a comb attachment- but I use a brush to spread it on my hair and the comb attachment to spread it on the brush. You want to paint your hair, soaking it with dye. The other trick is that when I shower, I condition first before I shampoo. This keeps the color in more and I get an incredible volume without my hair getting crunchy.tiziny

I purchased the color "Dark Navy" hoping to achieve a deep blue color and it did exactly that ! As you can see on my before pic, I had bleached and stained blue hair from previously using semi-permanent blue dye, as well as dark blonde brassy roots regrowth. I did a strand test first to be sure of the color but it came out beautiful ! This hair dye is super easy to use! I love how it's just like shampooing your hair. I got the color soft greige because I wanted to slightly darken my washed out tips. However, because my hair was already pretty dark, this color lightened my natural black-brown hair and got rid of the brassiness from my previously dyed ends. But… for a couple weeks after using this, there was a slight light purple tinge to my hair in certain lights. So, this product worked, but I probably got the wrong color and that's on me lolLillian

Expected a dark bluey tint to my hair which is naturally dark grey. Turned out lightish brown? Didn't see any hint or hue of blue at all and I didn't want brown. I personally think this dye is great, but I can think of another brand that has more staying power and is cheaper, so for that reason I can only give this 4 stars. The tone of this pink is unique to pinks I have bought previously and I think that's great when wanting some dimension! The texture is hard to describe but not its really creamy or gel like. And I think it smells like peppercorn, which doesn't bother me. I find a tube of this goes a really long way too, which is fantastic! The staying power is pretty average for your vivid pinks. Its rare for them to last too long. But I touch mine up every few washes around the roots and let the rest fade to a pastel, so its no big deal.dominique.f

I recently tried this product for the first time and I think it’s now one of my favorites! I’ve gotten TONS of compliments since I used Blue Ruin and I’ve used them all, over the years. Warning: stuff is Pravana Vivids level of stainage. RIP to a couple of ratty old towels, lol. My hair is between a level 2-3 with grays and I bleach and then highlight it to level 7-8. Pro tip is that I mix this product with a little conditioner and Olaplex 3 and then leave it in my hair for 2 hours. It really saves it from being fried. I tried to manage my expectations a little with this product, as it’s recommended for light blonde or pre-lightened hair but mine was a balayage with dark blonde/light brown. Turns out it defied my expectations and still came out as a super vibrant red! My hair is chest length and the tube had just about enough to cover nearly my whole head (my roots are dark so I avoided those) with a small amount of conditioner mixed in to stretch it a bit further. Color came our amazing exactly how I wanted only downfall is it did wash out quickly I even waited 72 hours before I washed my hair due to the recommendation of letting the color sit and not wash as much. I am an everyday hair washer due to how oily my hair is. After the 72hrs I washed hair every 48 to 72 hrs still color was fading everytime after 4 to 5 washes color is noticeably different. Used this color with 30 developer I wish they would make the color last especially since it's supposed to be permanent but the color was awesome while it lasted.erica.m

I like this product very much. To get this color I bleached my hair to a level 9 and then dyed my hair mixing this with a volume 30 cream peroxide all from the same brand. This one is in a cream consistency. Besides the fact that I like this color I also prefer this brand over others I've tried because in my opinion this brand smells less chemically intoxicating "I actually find the products kind of have a sligh parfum scent" plus I've also experienced less damaging with constant use. Tip……It also mixes very well with my conditioners "I prepared a mixture of conditioner and the tint to maintain the freshness of the hair color and used it every time I washed my hair after shampooing" just be aware that this is pigmented and it will get messy in the bathtub if not careful.xiomara.v

I have developed an allergy to almost all hair dyes. the last attempt actually put me in the hospital. I very reluctantly gave dying my hair one more chance using this dye. I did the skin test, the proceeded to successfully dye my hair without having any sort of reaction. The only difference with this hair dye is that the process of using this dye is different from the others I've used before.Angela

This is the first time I have used this brand so was slightly sceptical. I wanted a cool dark blond as my previously colour was beginning to look brassy and my hair was very dry. I looked into several options and chose this brand and colour based on the reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. The colour is lovely, very similar to that shown on the box and it took away the brassiness. It has faded slightly after a few washes but not too much. My hair was left feeling soft and shiny. It has a multi tonal look and I’ve had many compliments on the colour. The instructions are easy to follow and I would highly recommend this product.JO G

i haven’t used a permanent dye in awhile. the smell of this is quite strong & a little stingy if hair gets close to your eyes. my hair was probably 2 shades lighter & more of a chocolate brown with random greys. the dye did a great job of covering them & toned the brassiness. i wouldn’t say my hair is completely ashy now it does reflect a teeny bit of reddish tones in the sun. the conditioner gives hydration & didn’t make my hair dry/knotty like some do. i’ll continue to use the toning conditioner over the next few weeks & give an update. also gloves in the box are great. they actually fit properly & don’t slide off, covering your wrists too. all in all good for a permanent dye although use plenty of vaseline around the hairline & neck it does strongly stain. i couldn’t get a random splotch off my leg for a few days.grace223

I don't know if the majority of these reviews were paid reviewers but this product does not do what it says! I have tried it twice now, thinking maybe the first time was a mistake, but both times it did not cover my grays. I am 31 and only have about 5 to 6 gray hairs but they are right in the front of my face, so very noticeable. I have been dyeing my hair since 16 so I'm a seasoned vet when it comes to box dye and wanted to try something new. If you are just looking for a new color and not to cover grays I give it a 4 because the color is fine and it is quick and easy but I bought it to specifically cover my gray hairs and both times it did NOT do that.Yogi

so I have been dying my own hair for over 15 years and I'm practically a pro at it with any brand. I always use an ash (dark or medium) brown, which prevents hair from ever turning brassy. Ash is the opposite of brassy tones. So I decided to try this brand in medium ash brown. The picture on the box showed an ash brown color. So I left the dye on 10 minutes as instructed. And this horrible dye changed my brown hair (which has about 10% greys) to a brassy blonde color!!! You should never get a brassy result from ash and you should never get blonde hair from a medium brown. I even double checked to make sure they had sent me the right color I had ordered, and they had. This dye is the worst ever. Do Not Buy. Never had any dye screw up my hair like this with totally false advertising of what the color will be. It actually looked like I had used bleach on my hair and lightened it. I've used Natural Instincts in the orange box for 15+ at least. It was dependable, consistent, and user friendly as a liquid. This change to something "natural" (impossible – it's DYE!) is such a bad decision on this company's part, that I cannot believe anyone would make such a drastic deterioration on what was working for decades. Let me guess – the person or persons who changed the formula to one that does not dye hair, but stains skin, leaves an ugly clownish orange where rich brown had previously resulted, is technically a mess to mix adequately, drips instead of staying put like the old formula – is/are someone who 1) doesn't personally use the product 2) doesn't particularly care whether 15+ years of loyal customer satisfaction matters 3) is probably not a woman with limited time to care for herself in the midst of tackling a myriad of daily family care and professional life 4) probably has money to throw away. And you know the worst thing about the new formula? It DOESN'T COLOR HAIR! It would be nice if Clairol (Coty) would please provide the name of their nearest competitor on the shelf so we could get a crack at returning to our personal appearance routine and get on with life. This product actually works and gives your hair a natural black color. I used this product the first time before that; I never used any color. It's been more than three weeks now; I can barely see any grey hairs on my head. Very easy to apply, works in 10 minutes as they advertise. .I normally use wella because having tried JFM hair color in the past I did not like the results really dried my hair out and kind of look like shoe polish , since this was a new version thought I would give it a try this is a major improvement it is a very deep black just so you know but looks natural and did not dry my hair out also it does not fade out like wella does . I keep my hair short so did not need the whole tube sealed it for the next time not sure if it will work as this is air activated. However I'm very happy with the results color is great and it out last wella so yes I would recommend it and will be using it againraymond

I bought this to use as an eyebrow tint. I have read a couple of good reviews about girls using this for just that reason. I have bought a few tints in the past, but none of them were as easy as this. This is also a lot cheaper too. I think I paid about $6 on Amazon Vs $20 for eyebrow tint. It takes 10 minutes, No mixing required. I used used a Q-tip to apply so I wouldn’t go overboard. It turned out perfectly. I would recommend it.dina.h

It seems like every time you change the style of the Box, the formula changes. I have been using natural instinct for well over 10 years and I really like it, but it's getting harder to find the right color to use. I just. I just used Light golden Brown and now my hair is the medium to dark Brown it was when I was a teenager! Normally I would just color my roots, my hair on top of my head was almost blonde because of the gray underneath. But today, it is very obvious that I just colored my hair because it's not the same color at all. I will continue to use the product because it does a good job of covering the Gray. The color is Nutmeg, it’s one of the dark brown formulas. Very nourishing and easy to apply and spread through the hair. Im not used to the applicator bottle but surprisingly didn’t mind it. The smell isn’t too strong. I used almost the whole bottle, and I have thin/medium thick hair down to the middle of my back. Definitely buy two if you have long thick hair. Now, the color is darker than it said it would be. It’s borderline black or brown black, but I can tell it will fade nice. It doesn’t wash me out and I have pale skin with rosey undertones so I am thankful for that. I have been using this brand haircolor for years, trying different shades. I recently went through chemo therapy and lost all my hair. Since it’s grown back in its come in with a lot of grey. I have naturally medium brown hair. It is in excellent condition and thought I would color it with this new formula. So many reviews state the new formula is not as good as the old, I love the new formula. No burning on application, no hot roots, more even coverage. Many reviews also stated that the sheets are much darker than reflected on the box. For this reason I purchased suede light brown. It is so dark! Thankfully I don’t mind dark hair on myself. This is the only negative. My hair feels so soft and fluffy. And it was great at covering my greys! I will definitely purchase again. I went from a medium copper red to dark auburn brown with the shade Milano Brown – 5NAC. Picking a shade on the Ulta app wasn't the easiest process and going to the Madison Reed website only helped a little in that their quiz matched me to the same shade I was leaning toward based on the photos here. The shade may be a touch too dark for me, but I just dyed it today so I think it'll grow on me. The sites, both Ulta and Madison Reed, list Milano as a "dark chocolate brown," but the actual box clearly says Dark Auburn. I'm mostly okay with that as I love red, but I was actually aiming for a browner brown. While there aren't highlights in this formula, it does have some vibrancy and shine to keep it from being mousy. It is, at least on me, definitely a dark red brown. The kit is a very good and complete kit. I love that it has 2 pairs of gloves, a barrier and wipe to keep you from dying your skin and there's plenty of dye for a full application. I don't know how I feel about the shower cap as I did start to feel a little warm in it. It achieved a full color application, though, so I'm pleased. My hair feels a little textured after dying it, but it doesn't look dry or damaged in any way. It's honestly like I used I volumizing spray or mousse, but I didn't. Maybe there is something like that in the conditioner because my hair does look fuller. I have very fine, straight hair so it looks very good to me after the complete process. That whole process, for a full head application on hair that hasn't been dyed in months, took me a little over an hour start to finish. Every step was easy to complete for someone used to dying their own hair and the instructions are clear for any level of experience. I worried a little that the price meant it might be too advanced for me, but it's like all the other kits that I've tried with a few nice extras. The price and difficulty finding my right shade are why this gets 4 stars instead of the full 5. The kit is a 5 star and then some kind of kit, but not being able to tell if you're picking the right shade is a big problem when buying online. $30 for something I've never tried before when I'm used to paying around $3 for Revlon ColorSilk was a risk. I wanted something different, though, and this absolutely delivered. I'm very likely to try it again in the future. I'll be looking at a different shade and hoping for a sale.Adele S

I used this hair color religiously for 2 years, thinking it was a safer option than other box dyes. The color is good, it's easy enough to use, and the amount per kit was fine, even for my super long hair. However, I would notice more hair loss after coloring, and over the course of 2 years, I would have several episodes of hair loss. I thought it was due to stress, hormones, etc. But I researched and came across other reviewers and encounters of hair loss like mine from various Madison Reed color kit users. Madison Reed claims to be free of the traditional "harsh chemicals" found in hair dye, but fail to mention they simply replaced the usual suspects with harsh alternatives: ammonia is subbed out with ethanolamine, which is known to cause skin irritation and can also cause hair loss!!! There is a new class action lawsuit against Madison Reed for this very reason, as per Feb 2022 (NY), and I am certain there will be many more. I'm 49 so hair overall has changed. I've been using this color for a couple of years now. It's overpriced, and the last 3 times I've colored my hair within less than 2 weeks grays are shining! After 5-6 washes I am still having grayish black colored water. I can't attribute this to one specific thing but I purchased about 6-8 boxes when it was BOGO these are all from the same timeframe. I only color it every 6 weeks if I can help it but it honestly needs it after 2.5-3 weeks. I have a few boxes left but unfortunately I won't be using it. I went back to mixing my own. The black doesn't seem like real black either… it's like a reddish tint after a few washes. I don't mind that so much, BUT I do mind seeing color wash out after 5-6 washes literally up until I color again I am still washing out color. It's been very drying as well. It just seems the entire formula has changed since the first time I used it.Fkpe1973

I received Schwarzkopf Keratin Color in 8.0 Medium Blonde from Influenster in return for my honest review. I have used boxed colors in the past but for the past 5 years I have been mixing my own hair color using products from Sally's. My hair was in need of color, so this trial came at a good time. I have never used a color that had a pretreatment for your ends. It was easy to use but I didn't see that it made any difference honestly. I liked the texture of the color itself being a cream instead of liquid like some colors. It had an odor but not strong like many blonde colors. It took a bit to wash it out. I found it odd that I had to towel dry my hair and then put on the conditioner, then wait 3 minutes to wash it out. Overall the color came out nicely but still a little brassy despite the brassy correction conditioner. It did leave my hair a little frizzy and the ends aren't as nice as usual. For a box color it is good though.jessica .b

I received a box of Schwarzkopf Keratin Color Cream for True Blondes and was very pleased with the results! Pre-pandemic I was in the salon for color every two months and never thought I could get good color at home. Schwarzkopf Keratin Color Cream made getting great color at home easy, virtually mess free, and from start to finish, it took about an hour. The instructions are easy to follow and required just a bit of mixing. My hair is a darker blonde with some of red. I used Dark Ash Blonde color and and the color came out great leaving a nice wash of color with no brassiness. My hair was left really shinny and had great dimension. The conditioner packet in the box was an amazing addition because it left my hair feeling really silky and smelling great. I would have loved a slightly larger tube of conditioner since my hair is very long and I only got one use out of it. I can't wait to see how long the color lasts but I would definitely use this Schwarzkopf Keratin Color Cream again.keely.n

Well I'm not a huge fan of the Schwarzkopf Keratin Color 9.1 Light Ash Blonde .😔 I normally keep my hair platinum blonde sometimes I might add another color just for fun. My hair is dry brittle from all the bleaching throughout the years but I've never had any problems with it falling out or frying until now. 😮 I thought it was interesting this kit contained a hair Serum to apply before coloring but other than that, the process isn't any different from the other coloring kits. I applied the Serum and mixed applied the color. I left it on roughly 35 minutes. After I washed it out, I towel dried and added toner . I left the toner on another 2 min. I noticed my hair was unbelievable dry . I added some Nexus conditioner let it set for a few then rinsed. While blow drying, I realized I was gonna have to cut a couple inches off my ends. So that's what I did. I personally am not a fan of this color because it's too gray for me plus there are some purple spots . I also noticed it didn't have a real bad ammonia smell like other color kits or highlighting kits I've had in the past.amanda.h

I have random greys along my hairline that I really wanted to cover. I purchased the color prep that is recommended for grey coverage and the dark brown to match my natural hair color. I mixed the ingredients per the instructions, carefully measured water temperature, left on for the specified time. The process felt very time consuming since I basically did everything twice. I was really disappointed when all my greys were still visible. Didn’t notice any difference in my brown hair, either the color match is perfect or the product does nothing. After washing my hair the next day with shampoo, the smell of the product still lingered too. Waste of my time and money.RS

Kept it for just merely 20 minutes rinsed it off. It gave me a beautiful color. Upon checking at its price it is one of the most affordable brand. I've been using Clariol T & T in lightest blonde for the past 25yrs. I absolutely love this color. Over time the scent of the conditioner changed. Original scent smelled better but it does what it's suppose to. Moisturizes well, hair is soft and manageable. So many peoples ask me how I got me hair the color it is, I tell them time, achieving this color didn't happen over night! Best hair color product for women of color, not harsh on the hair like other products on the market. Prior to going natural (8yrs) I was using kiddie perms (Just For Me) 2 or 3xs a year and continued to dye my hair. This color requires daily maintenance for moisture and keeping ends trimmed. Love this Semi permanent hair color ! Lasts longer than any other brand Ive tried . Note* I only use a cleansing condition hair wash for over 15 years since ,most regular shampoos are very harsh and strip any type color application quickly. I find coloring whether permanent or semi-permanent last longer with cleansing conditioner hair washes. I use the Golden Blonde to turn my greys to golden highlights.Nan

I have black hair and use a dark brown in the summer. It gives my hair a dark copper color in the summer, but does not completely cover the grey in my hair. At best it may tint it, if it does that for about 5 days. But overall, I'm pleased with the end result.Smiley1023

The color I used was not listed on influenster so I am just leaving my review here for the turquoise hair color. The first time I tried bigen I did not pre-lighten and the results were barely noticeable. This time I did pre-lighten and acheived better more noticeable results but came across a catch 22.I used turquoise but my hair ended up more of an emerald green. This is because blue mixed with yellow makes green obviously and after bleaching my hair it became a yellowish blonde. I could have used toning shampoo to remove the brassiness and make it more white however that toning shampoo also strips the keratin out of your hair and keratin is necessary to hold the color. The choices are leave it this color or use the toning shampoo which will make it wash out faster as well as not retain the color properly initially either. I'm going to run further experiments to see if there's a compromise I can make to make it last long and get the exact color I want. I'll let you know if I make any progress.zaneta.o
