I love this this product! Finally something that does NOT make my hair more frizzy, crunchy, dry or greasy. I have fine to medium curly long hair, I am of Eastern European descent. I just use a very small amount like directions advised, worked it into my wet hair, scrunched it with my hands and let air dry. My hair is sooo soft, no frizz and my curls are defined. I have been searching for a natural product without chemicals that actually works. I love it! It also has a tropical fragrance that is not overwhelming and smells so good! The cream is thick and I am going to also try it as a mask on my hair to hydrate it. Also it feels good to support this family business.Lizzie

I found this product yearssss ago when I first started the Curly Girl Method. It was very runny, white and much lighter. I ended up repurchasing it and when I opened it, it is incredibly yellow and thick and the ingredient list is completely different. I don't use it everyday to care but in general, Shea Moisture was my Go To absolutely favorite brand and I used their shampoo and conditioner for about 8 years- but I noticed it a couple of months ago stripped my hair and caused an insane amount of frizz. What a shame. I will never buy another Shea Moisture product. They used to have amazing ingredients, now they have all weird chemicals and the smells changed badly. I'm going to be honest – this product burned my face. I do have sensitive skin, but I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and this was just too much. It almost seemed like I had to cake the mixture on my face for it to even work. Sometimes it was very successful while other times, I was pretty disappointed. This works like a charm on my long, dark, thick arm hair. I know I shouldn't be so self-conscious abiout it, but it really makes a difference in my self-esteem when it is lightened. Be careful to measure carefully. If you use too much powder it may sting and itch a little bit. If it does, just use some body lotion after you rinse it off, and it will take care of it right away.Christine

I was wary of this product because of some reviews saying it doesn't work, but I'm so glad I bought this :') I have been growing a small patch of really thick, dark hairs under my chin/ jaw about the size of a quarter. I originally got this because I read about how castor oil makes your hair grow faster. I don't think it's made any difference in my hair growth, but it sure does make it soft and shiny! The first time I used it I didn't dilute it with another oil and ended up ripping a bunch of hair out because it's so thick. Learn from my mistake! Mix it with some olive oil and apply, cover, and leave it in overnight. Wash it out the next morning and be amazed by your silky hair! I usually do a treatment once every other week, I could see it weighing down your hair if you use it too often or don't get it all out in the shower. For those of you with sensitivities do a patch test for a few days before using, some people can be allergic. I have always ben a fan of Now Foods oils . For some reason the formulation and oils themselves to me are high quality. I've tried various Almond Oils but always find myself coming back to this one. What I love the most (I bought the 473ML) is that you get excellent value for your money and the oils can be used on hair and body. I also use this oil as a makeup remover when I have make-up on. Love the way the make-up melts away. Also on my body… this oil has made my legs babysoft! I've been enjoying using this product instead of mascara for fuller lashes. Sometimes I do a scalp treatment, followed by a conditioner rinse, then a shampoo out, and conditioner again. I also put it on my feet at night for a great night's sleep. People do castor oil packs on their liver with this–I don't bother with that messy procedure. Castor oil has been around for many years. I’ve always heard of my older generations in my family using this product. I tried it out and generally use a pea size amount for my full face/brows. I apply a small amount to my face massage in an upwards motion and apply the remaining oil to my lashes and brows. My skin has not had any breakouts and feels hydrated. My brows/lashes on the other hand are so soft and seem thicker. I did receive this product for my honest opinion, and I can say Heritage Store Black Castor Oil is a traditional oil that is an amazing product for skincare. I use this for eyebrow eyelash and hair growth. Yes it works! Without question. My loss has been somewhat extreme so the regrowth is very obvious. I only put it on the scalp though with an eye dropper and rub it in. If you already have hair loss I wouldn’t recommend combing it through your hair. As the consistency is like honey and it will likely pull out more hair and it’s hard to wash out. A drop in eyes before bed is wonderful for dry eye. For oil pulling. This works better than any oil I have used. Only 2-5 minutes. Rather than 15-20 with others. I find if I do longer than 5 minutes my mouth get irritated. The first couple times I used it my gums got very puffy and sore and I was concerned but I think it may have been part of the healing process because after the first couple days it was fine and my normally inflamed mouth began to heal. I have extreme toothpaste allergies and it’s been a nightmare. As a moisturizer on body and face it helps to heal and I find as thick as it is it still doesn’t break me out. As a castor oil pack. Lovely for detox, cysts and fibroids. As a laxative I find it doesn’t give me any side effects like cramping. All of the otc stimulant laxatives have given me terrible side effects and this just gave me a gentle bm. I know some people claim it tastes terrible but I don’t find it has much taste. What it didn’t work for that others have claimed: Lips. It makes my lips VERY irritated. Dry heels. Found no change. I’m considering trying the Jamaican black for hair but I just like the idea of the fact this is organic. And it IS working for me for hair growth. The styling brush with its rotating brush head and heat makes styling so much easier. When using a thermal protectant on your hair and styling with this, I end up totally smooth and silky hair. This particular brush came with two different size of ones. However, the sizing can be a little disillusioning as far as the results. Since my hair is short, I need an even smaller brush, because this one does not allow me to add any curls or waves. But it does give a good lift and a beautiful finish. I just wish they would make this with an even smaller wand, then it would be absolutely perfect! If you have medium or longer hair, you will not be disappointed in any way. I LOVE Batana oil and Au Natural has a very good product. It helps with shedding, hydration and shine. I don't rinse it out and I only use it once of twice a week because it's expensive but I have seen progress in my hair shedding overall feel. The smell takes some getting used to but the smell fades fast so don't let that put you off. I was excited to see it had this smell because I knew it was actually Batana oil and not a tiny bit of Batana drowning in other products. Just replaced my L'ange dryer brush with this DryBar model (my old one had lost most of its bristles after years of use). The Single Shot far exceeded my expectations after only one use. I'm loving the results from the round shape, as opposed to the oval of my previous dryer, as it helps with volume and gives my hair a slight bend that I previously needed an iron to achieve. My L'ange would get so hot I couldn't touch my hair for a minute after a couple of passes. It also made my bathroom hotter, and I'd have to let it cool like a curling iron if I was packing for travel. This DryBar dryer dried my hair faster, never made my hair too hot to touch, my bathroom was noticeably cooler, and the dryer was cool enough to store immediately after use. The DryBar gave my hair body, shine, and the appearance I could only previously achieve with drying and ironing. So cutting out a step is definitely a pro. For reference: my hair is medium/long in length, fairly fine, and I wear extensions. The resistance is perfect. Enough to achieve the result I was looking for, while being kind to my extensions. If I was forced to complain about this dryer, it would only be that the handle is slick plastic (the L'ange has a more rubbery silicone handle that is a bit easier to hang on to) so it's a bit slippery, and it's taking a minute to figure out the right place to hold on to it. But for the other wonderful benefits, the handle is definitely not a deal breaker. I've only used it once, so time will tell how it holds up…but so far, I'm completely in love. This is life changing for disabled people or those with arthritis in the upper limbs or carpal tunnel and for people post surgery. I purchased for my just above my shoulder length hair based on other users experiences and they are all spot on! I have fine wavy hair but a lot of it so there is frizz. I use a T3 hairdryer Oribe blow out cream a DryB mini flat brush , a T3 single flat iron and a Calista round brush curing iron. This tool replaces all of them with better results! I wanted to love it, BUT… I was sadly disappointed! I like the idea of a round blow drying brush. I thought it would give more volume at my scalp… NOPE! I have short, shoulder length hair and it did nothing that WOWed me, AT ALL. I see people talking about how shiny it made their hair, it did the total opposite for mine.. it was super dull and frizzy when I finished. The tip of the drying brush was very short and awkward. It was way too slick, it needs some sort of gripping feature if they can't/won't make it any longer. I burned my fingers numerous times because of the short, slick tip. I feel like there aren't enough bristles on this drying brush. I have thick hair and I don't feel like it reached every strand as well as my hot tools oval blow drying brush does. I still had a lot of un-smooth/frizzy pieces after multiple passes with the drying brush. You're pretty much just paying for a name when you buy this drying brush. I'll stick to my hot tools one. I had blond balayage done to my hair and that damaged it. I read the reviews about this product, most good and a mixture of bad. When I saw the bad reviews talking about hair snapping off, I thought it was just due to the persons hair being so damaged and thought I'd give it a try. Well my hair started snapping off, every single day, some pieces long and ranging to tiny specks of hair. I have had my hair damaged horribly in the past to the point it took forever to dry and leaving burnt coarse ends. My hair did have a few areas of burnt ends but not as severe as previous experiences. So I kept using the treatment products and it kept raining pieces of my hair throughout the day. I've never had this happen even with extremely damaged hair. Sure pieces broke off but nothing like this. When the pieces snapped initially I thought it was due to the damaged ends. But then it never stopped. Smooth bits about a quarter inch kept shedding off. I couldn't wear dark shirts without constantly wiping hair bits off of it. After about a month I believed the reviews and stopped using the products. My hair slowly started snapping off less and less but I'm not sure if it was because the majority was already gone. So now my hair is varied lengths and extremely thinned out due to the different lengths it broke off. I'm not saying this product isn't good or bad because a lot of people love it but I strongly suggest not using this product if you have bleach damage without consulting your hair stylist first or having a treatment of some type done professionally. Before getting my hair to the shade it is now, I had several appointments slowly lightening my hair over roughly 6 months with hair treatments in between to maintain the health. I was someone who used to think that nothing could actually repair the bonds of your hair from the inside, especially because it went against everything I ever learned in cosmetology school, but that was 30 years ago and technology has changed, the proof is in the chemistry. I completely clarified my hair and then started using only Olaplex products exclusively. I used the entire line as recommended for damaged hair for 4 months, including number one in my hair color touch ups, and now I am a firm believer that it really does repair bonds as they claim because there is no other explanation for the positive change in my mid back length, color treated, and highlighted hair. I went from dull hair that was always tangled and broke so easily, to much healthier, shiny, soft, full hair. Despite having a lot of hair, it's very fine and before Olaplex, I could never achieve fullness without using a ton of product which was counterproductive. Usually conditioners, treatments, and masks, would weigh my hair down, but not Olaplex, it gives me the natural fullness I want without any styling product or weighing my hair down. And their purple shampoo, I can't say enough good things about it either! It is super concentrated so you need only the tiniest bit for the best results and the fact that the other products help color last longer, you don't need to use it as often as other toning shampoos, but when they say leave it on no more than two minutes, they mean it! If you use too much or leave it in too long, it will tint your hair rather than just tone it. The only Olaplaex product I don't use is the oil. Other than that, they would have to pry Olaplex from my hands. I highly recommend the entire line and starting with completely clarified hair prior to starting and use Olaplex exclusively for a few months to achieve the best results. Like a lot of us I've tried so many products to de-frizz my thick wavy hair including different oils. It's not color treated although I do use heat on it quite a bit and don't get trims as often as I should. I've found The Ordinary's Argan Oil works by far the best and adding shine, taming frizz, and making my hair look healthy. It's very lightweight and doesn't make my strands look greasy. I will occasionally apply the oil to my under eye area on top of The Ordinary's Argireline Solution before I seal everything in with Aquaphor before going to bed. I've noticed a significant increase in my skin's plumpness. I wish they sold this product in a larger size! For the price you can not go wrong, definitely give this a try.Scarlett

A couple different parts to this review. I am using this product strictly for hair and not for skin: 1) I bought this as a hair treatment. I have never put any type of straight-up oil in my hair before (besides a few drops of Olaplex No.7), and someone recommended I drench my ends with this and sleep with it overnight. I did so and washed it out in the morning and didn't really notice a difference… I was unimpressed. However, I decided to try adding some to my damp hair post-shower as The Ordinary recommends, and boy did I like this!! I added it strictly to my lengths and ends (not roots!!) and let my hair air-dry and it was so glossy and shiny without feeling greasy! Love! 2) I loved the consistency of this oil. It's very thin and lightweight, almost watery. Makes it easy to smooth into hair and easily rinses off your hands. It is NOT heavy, greasy or slippery, like olive or coconut oil. Despite using a ton (thought I used way too much), my hair still looked great! 3) The smell of this product is indeed weird. Has almost a burnt rubber scent. I could smell it while rubbing it in my hands and applying it to my hair. However, once my hair dried I have not noticed it, so it isn't a dealbreaker for me. However, it could be a dealbreaker if you are sensitive to scents or picky about scented products. Overall happy with the results and the price can't be beat. I’ve only been using it for a week, but I already see the result. My skin is usually dry in winter, and my usual face cream doesn’t do the job when it’s cold outdoors and warm and dry indoors. Adding a few drops of Argan oil to my cream completely sorted the dryness and also seemed to have decreased the fine lines I started to have on my chicks (perhaps only do to dryness, but it made me look older). I also used it on a patch of eczema on my hand. It disappeared in 3 days! The smell that some people mention disappears very quickly when you spread it. However, I do not dislike the smell. Everything about this product is great! The scent is refreshing, not typical of far too many other brands sold. A small amount goes a long way as lather and suds produced are plentiful. Typically,I turn the water off when soaping up. You can rub the bar in your hands and then spread to almost your entire body and hair. Quite amazing. Rinses well. Works well. Lathers well. Doesn’t seem to dry out hair or beard. Bar lasts reasonable time though gets fairly shriveled and cracked and will break apart toward end of its life expectancy like a lot of soap bars. This in conjunction with BS solid deodorant though has left me slightly disappointed in regard to odor control. I find myself smelling underarm odor more using this combo than I’ve ever experienced with conventional off the shelf products. My lifestyle is 66 year old with moderate exercise daily, taking care of two g-daughters daily, showering every other day unless activity level warrants more. Use the deodorant every morning and frequently again at night to try and avoid morning BO. I love these products. I just tried the solid cleanser for the first time. For years I have used liquid body washes after solid soaps began to irritate or dry out my skin. The liquid body washes still dried out my skin but not as badly. I was actually excited to take a shower to try this out! It lathered well with a fresh clean scent and rinsed clean without any skin irritation. Some other bars are very soft and wear down quickly. This did not take much to lather up, and it seems like it will last a while. I used it in my somewhat short hair, and it only took three swipes through wet hair to lather quickly and wash well. My hair feels clean with no residue or irritation on my scalp. My skin was also less dried out after showering than it has been for a long time. Very impressed so far.Brandon

This is a good oil for applying to the face. It is light, and has only a faint smell. Its smell is not bad, just a typical oil smell. It goes on light. The bottle has a glass dropper tube build in, you squeeze the top of the lid and it will fill up to about 1.5 inches. It’s so easy to use as it comes with an attached pipette. It doesn’t have really have a scent to it which is great. I had been using another brand for years that came in a yellow tube and one day ran out by chance.I Never heard of this brand but I tried it out glad that I did now its my go to gel. Oh how much I love this gel!! It does have a cologne like smell but to me it smells so good. Whenever I want to scrunch my hair I use this gel and the last me the whole day. My hair stylist recommended this when I asked what she uses on my hair when I am there for my appt. This stuff smells so great and makes my hair and sew in extensions feel so healthy and soft. I love this stuff. I only use a soaring amount in place of conditioner and only on the ends of my hair. I leave it in for a few minutes then rinse it out. I started to use it after I started to color my hair and needed extra moisture. The ends get dry but my scalp gets oily fast so I needed it only for the ends. It works great. Smells nice and doesn’t leave a heavy feeling at all. I don’t use it every day because it would be too much. Only once a week in the coldest part of winter and then much less in the warmer weather. The smell just generates around the whole salon and everyone ends up buying it! I love the cost. If it were to change, it would be much harder to have in my salon. First heard about it from the hair salon I go to. & been wanting to get my hands on it for a few months because the day I got out of the salon, my hair was so soft and which ever way you style it, it stays. Ex, I did a French braid for a full day of work, took it out at end of day, slept on it and went to work the same day and got compliments on my hair due to the nice waves! Usually my braids do not stay and from having thick hair, the waves hardly even form either. It makes your hair so soft and defrizz! One of my main hair issues esp since I also have voluminous hair! Decided to purchase it online and been using it everyday! Since I wash my hair on a daily basis due to working out and being drenched in sweat. Never fails to make my hair soft and defrizzes to the point where I can head to work with just blow drying and no need to straighten anymore – looks work appropriate/professional enough. I bought a few items and love all of them. The Neutra care restructuring serum is especially amazing on my hair which is fine & curly-which ends up being frizzy. The serum helps to keep most of the frizz at bay. I’ve got countless product in my bathroom to try to help with the frizz and nothing works as good as this serum which is saying a lot. I am amazed at how my hair feels after using it and drying my hair. I also put it on wet and dry which I like that it doesn’t feel oily afterwards. I’m way over due for a haircut thanks to the current pandemic. I would say my hair is pretty healthy normally. I have balayage highlights but no real damage and keep up with cuts regularly to keep my ends healthy. But my ends have been looking and feeling a bit crunchy and I needed something to help me make it to my next cut…whenever that may be. Tried this mask this morning and I am so happy with the results. My hair feels soft and silky and I can see visible shine. My ends have smoothed out dramatically. I’ll be using this product for a long time!LMKA

I wasn't sure about getting this but I'm glad I tried it out. I perm my hair curly and without care it can make my hair dry. This hair mask helps keep it soft and moist. The smell is amazing of you like the smell of bananas. I think it's important to read the directions and keep it on for the 5 minutes before rinsing off for it to really do its job. I use it 2-3xs a week and it's a good size depending on how big or long your hair is I guess. Mines is short so it last me a long time. I think it's worth it, but you have to try it for yourself. Oh and I think it works well for curly hair type. I have loose curls of that helps.Ronnie

I have being dying my hair bright, vibrant red for just over five years now, and Arctic Fox has been part of my color maintenance routine since day one. Vibrant red hair is not easy to maintain and keep from fading quickly, which can very quickly do serious damage to your hair if your only using ammonia-based chemical dyes every time you need to refresh your color. Arctic Fox doesn't damage hair at all. In fact, it helps undue the damage caused by permanent dyes because it doesn't have any harsh chemicals that strip hair. Arctic Fox is actually GOOD for your hair and works just like a conditioner, not like a hair dye. I add Arctic Fox to my regular conditioner (sulfate free of course) so that every time I wash my hair I'm also keeping my red looking vibrant and even healthier every time. I always wash my hair using the coolest water I can tolerate and after I shampoo I apply my premixed bottle of 3/4 sulfate free conditioner, 1/4 Arctic Fox Wrath + a dollop of Violet Dream and let it sit on my hair secured on top of my with a claw clip while I finish the rest of my shower routine, just like I would do with a nourishing hair mask. Once my routine is done, I rinse out my hair thuroughly in cool water and towel dry it only so I get the most out of conditioning my hair, and viola! My looks, feels softer and healthier than before I washed it, plus my red still looks like it did the day I first day I dyed it. It's a win win. Not only does Artic Fox keep my red looking great, but it leaves my hair healthier every time also. Plus the custom colors you can create by mixing different different Arctic Fox colors together are endless! I was amazed at the color i got by mixing Purple AF + a touch of Aquamarine! It sounds crazy to mix aquamarine and deep purple together, but the color came out a multidimensional dark blue/purple-ish color that changes color depending on how the light hits it. It's my new favorite color! It does come out very dark, so I apply it (no conditioner added) to the bottom 1/3 of my hair and lightly pull the color upwards into my red to get a perfect blended fade from bright red to deep blue/purple. I get compliments on my hair every day and people always ask me how I keep my color looking so bright all the time. Arctic Fox, that's how! =)member-e56c4

I have virgin dirty blonde hair. I bought the shade Transylvania which is a pure black color. I applied it last night to my clean hair, no products or nothing in it and let it sit in foil for about 40 minutes. I didn't apply the dye to my whole head, I just wanted to add pieces here and there throughout my hair like I've done in the past. Upon rinsing my hair out with cold water and letting it dry I noticed how faded the black looks. In the shower the water ran blue. I know black dyes typically contain blue but this was like a vibrant blueish green. In artificial lighting the dye in my hair looks like a dark grey, but in the natural sunlight it looks like a greyish green which isn't very pretty at the moment. I'm going to give it one more go before I decide whether or not to return this. I usually LOVE arctic fox dyes and have never had issues before but this black dye really needs to be reformulated.Jen

I was sent this product by SpaceNK to trial at home and review. Though I love the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (and the probably infamous caramel-y scent), having previously tried samples of the shampoo and conditioner, I'm really not a fan of the hair care range. I have fine, flyaway, naturally wavy hair which is frizzy and can be prone to kinks and other unpredictable behaviour. I was concerned that this may not be for me as I found the shampoo and conditioner a tad heavy for my fine hair. Conscious of my previous experience, I made sure not to use any oil or any sort of leave in treatment on my hair for a week before trying this product. I also made sure to use as little of it as possible (which was rather difficult as it's quite a thick product!). I followed the instructions which said to apply it to damp, freshly washed hair from root to tip and leave it for at least 10 minutes. I worked from the ends upwards so there would be as little product as possible weighing down my roots and left it for around 10 minutes. Though it's quite a gloopy product, it washed out easily and even whilst showering, I could feel that my hair felt softer and smoother (and even a tad thicker though, perhaps, this was due to the product being a bit too heavy for my hair type?). I also liked the way that my hair reacted to the treatment. It seemed to encourage my natural waves and I was confident leaving my hair to dry naturally. Whilst it did not eradicate all frizziness, it was a major improvement. My hair felt deeply conditioned but not greasy. Another bonus is the scent and even 24 hours after using the treatment, my hair still holds plenty of the beautiful signature scent. Now for the negatives! The scent is very strong. I love it but many may not. I also think I would need to use this sparingly. Even with the little that I used, my hair felt heavier / weighed down and I expect there to be quite a bit of product build up. If, like me, you have fine, flyaway hair, you may feel this is a bit much. However, as an occasional deep conditioning treatment, it's not a bad investment.IndiePrincess

I've used this twice so far in a week in place of my normal hair mask treatments, and so far, I think I've found a new hair favourite! I will be including my thoughts below: Ergonomically, this has fantastic packaging. It has this lovely textured rim around the bottom of the jar, which means you get a good grip while scooping out your product with wet hands in the shower. It has a nice chunky lid too, which screws off easily enough, but contains a small pull lid on top of the actual hair butter, so the stuff inside won't spill. It isn't too runny, nor is it too gloopy and thick, so it's the perfect consistency to rub through your hair. I have my fine hair that's mid-upper arm length, and I only need a very small scoop to coat my hair. I run a comb through it after to ensure it's well distributed, and then spread the excess picked up in the comb's teeth over the front of my face where the fringe is (heat damage, hello!). I then clip it up for the rest of my shower, rinse it off at the end, and hey presto! Beautiful glossy hair. I can see a real difference when I've rinsed it off as well, because it feels very soft to the touch, and even after being bundled up in a towel and then unwrapped after, it falls down in soft, non-tangled locks, which have no resistance when combed through. I've tried this with and without my other hair products (leave in spray conditioner, heat protectant, and anti-frizz serum), and I've found that I do need my extra things to really get my hair to sit totally unfrizzed after, but even without, the shine and gloss is absolutely stunning. I think in future, I'll probably leave this stuff on for longer (overnight if possible), which will hopefully give me the full repair effects. However, for a ten minute flash treatment, this is a really nifty thing to have in the shower with you. Also, in regards to the scent, I was a little disappointed – I've heard wonders about the SdJ products' smell, and to be honest, it's pretty much like every high street hair mask smell. It's lovely, don't get me wrong! But it's nothing special (it still has the chemically salon product smell) and in my opinion, shouldn't be the aspect that sways you for or against buying the product. I don't know if this is going to replace my current favourite's holy grail status (Olaplex No.3), but value wise, it's definitely going to be a close competitor. I'll be reaching for this again in future when I want some quick hollywood hair for sure!mun
