This used to be really good. My hairdresser used it on my hair once and it was so good I went out and bought my own. Loved it. Left my hair soft and completely frizz and flyaway free. I was so happy to find something weightless to achieve that and that felt like water on my hair instead of a heavy cream or serum. Then all of a sudden they decided to change the formula. Why did they have to do that?! The new formula had a strong smell and it actually created frizz in my hair, so bad that it lost all shape. Day 2 and 3 it started feeling stringy at the ends. I hated it. Now I’ll have to look for a new product to use that’ll hopefully give me the previous results. If they did this with their other products they’ll become the next DevaCurl. I have dirty blonde, thick, wavy, slightly frizzy hair, and I have never found a hair product that gave me soft, defined, frizz-free curls. This product gives me just that! I cannot believe that I finally found a product that leaves my hair soft and my curls defined. I was mesmerized by the results! Directions for use: After taking a shower, either towel dry, wring out, or air dry your hair until it is still wet, but not damp and full of water. Next, with a wide-tooth comb, brush hair so that there are no knots. Then, layer by layer, pick up pieces of your hair and spray thoroughly, making sure that you are spraying the sections where you want your curls/waves defined. I go ahead and spray my entire head of hair – BC IT'S JUST THAT GOOD! Comb through after spraying. After about 30 minutes to an hour, I go back and brush out my hair with the wide-tooth comb again, just to make sure my hair doesn't get crunchy. If you don't comb your hair again after spraying, your hair may end up more crunchy than you'd want; if you do comb it again, your hair will have no crisp, and it will be as soft as can be. I have very naturally curly hair and have tried an extremely wide variety of products and brands over the years. I was very skeptical with this one claiming to be all products in one, but it truly is. I couldn’t believe what my hair looked like when all I did was spray it in, comb it through, and let air dry. Because it is light it does not weigh my curls down and my hair dries quicker as well because I’m not using heavier styling creams or gels. I’m really pleased with this product. I even love the removable lock on the sprayer so you can take it with you without any mess. Where they could improve is the shape of the bottle. The rectangle is not the easiest to handle. This conditioner with the matching shampoo has been the only product I have found on salon and store shelves that makes my over processed hair feel like hair again. I have had a blonde head of brittle straw and this product works great, sometimes it is a strong tingle so it's not great for every single day use. I have an oily scalp, I wash 3 times a week and this product reduces my shampoos which protects my hair from breaking. I loose fistfulls of hair when I wash it, not even the pricey bonding products work, plus they are too heavy for my fine wavy hair. My water is town water and they have a lot of mineral residue, it's very hard water. This product works with the water source I have.Chrissy
This is my absolute favorite shampoo/conditioner to use, always! Not only does the tea tree oil clarify my roots, but it keeps my hair silky smooth and clean feeling for an extra day compared to other clarifying shampoos. Also, the scent of the lavender and other ingredients inside this shampoo conditioner duo is phenomenal! I dunno how, but the mint, lavender tea tree oil come together perfectly with scent and that tingly feeling your scalp gets. I cannot even express how eveyone needs to try at least once in their life! I *guarantee* that you will NOT want to use any other tea tree oil shampoo after having tried Paul Mitchell's . My only negative remark on this product is how expensive it can be seen for in beauty supply shops. Online I can usually find the 1L pump shampoo conditioner set for $50 or less. My local hair salon was selling smaller sized bottles individually for $39.99! I'm not sure if this is due to the greed of the beauty salon's or their owner's or if Paul Mitchell isn't providing enough of an incentive or discount to sell from their product at a salon, but whatever it is…it needs to be addressed. The absolute best thing out there. I have dealt with dandruff for the past few years. Never had dandruff in my life until recently. I got this shampoo and conditioner and it has changed everything. I haven’t had any dandruff, my hair feels amazing, and my scalp feels so clean. I would get a smell on my scalp and it didn’t smell good. I switched to this shampoo and conditioner and it has completely went away. I don’t even have to brush my hair after using it. I love this product and I will be getting it again!

I have straight fine hair but it is very thick in certain areas, and gets very frizzy and puffy without a serum and without being blow dried. This is the first product I've used from this brand and not only would I repurchase, I will look into buying other products because this one works so well. It makes my hair sleek and exceptionally shiny without drying it out (the only other product that makes my hair gleam like this is BioSilk which really dries out my hair), it's soft and polished and my frizz and flyaways are very well controlled, even in humid weather. I mix it with a lighter, more fluid oil to make it more viscous and easier to apply throughout my damp hair before I blow dry-brush it and I look like I've come from the salon every single time I use this. I also really like that it is a heat protectant too so I don't have to use multiple products in my hair. This did everything it claimed to on my hair, and yes there is very noticeable glitter in the product which gets left behind on your hands but it comes off when you rinse your hands under water so that's not even an issue.theb
I just got my hair done. I have a thick but wavy hair type. I got a blonde bolyage and normally my hair stands strong to being dyed. This time, I had some remnants of a previous hair dye and it made the bottom of my hair frizzy, damaged, and hard to maintain. Most importantly, my hair had a hard time transitioning from being down to being put up (in a bun, ponytail, etc.). When I first dispensed the product, I was a bit concerned because it was very oily (to me, anyway) and I worried that it wouldn't absorb into my hair. But it actually did nicely, so that was a relief. The scent is light and I like it. Color Wow Pop & Lock Fizz Control and Glossing Serum worked quite well on my dry, (frizzy!) hair. From a lot of over-processing in the past, not too many products can decrease the frizz that much. I tried the serum on both wet and dry hair. On my wet hair I really was hoping that it would tame my frizz and it actually did a great job. On dry hair I was hoping for some shine to brighten up my dull hair. I worked it through the mid-shaft and it did a pretty good job making my hair look a bit shinier. The only negative I'd say is that the product claims to lock in your hair's color and add improve the texture. I didn't find that happened for me at all. This is a great shampoo for people like myself with straight, fine hair but a lot of it. I can actually run my fingers through my hair while washing without any tangling or breakage! I have seen a noticeable reduction in the amount of frizz in my hair after I air-dry it, and it is more manageable to style. It does not seem to weigh my hair down, dry it out, or make it greasy at all, and I've noticed a reduction in breakage and fallout since I began using it. I like that it's color-safe as well; I go to the salon every 6-8 weeks to get my hair colored a dark brunette to add vibrancy to my natural color, and this has not stripped or faded my color at all. I’ll start off by saying the shampoo smells like fresh wall paint. Not overly powerful scent though. It is a nice off white color. It easily spreads on your hair, but I don’t feel it gets it sudsy. The conditioner on the other end, smells like hair dye, from a box you an buy at the store. It’s a creamy white color, and I feel you need a ton to lather your hair up. A positive note, is the longer I left the conditioner in my hair, to condition, the comb glided right through it. No snarls, or knots. My hair didn’t smell terrible when I got out. Just not a strong scent. What I don’t like, is, I don’t wash my hair everyday. Either every other day or every two days. By the second day, my hair feels like straw. I’ve always washed my hair like that and certain shampoos and conditioners, don’t do that. My hair feels dry and dead from using this stuff. I recently received the Nioxin System Haircare Shampoo 4 for color Treated hair complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. The shampoo is minty and after a good washing, leaves the scalp with a tingle. After blow drying, my hair feels very clean and bouncy. I have curly, dark brown, graying hair that has seen it’s share of box dye. That being said, although I like the tingling feeling this product has on my scalp, and although I do leave this conditioner in for the recommended 3 minutes at least, I find that my hair is very dry and frizzy. I wish that there was a way to add something a bit more moisturizing. I’m addition it says to use the product daily for best results. I hadn’t been one to wash my hair daily before so it takes some getting used to. In the shower while it sits in my hair, I clip it up to prevent premature rinsing. As other reviewers stated, I couldn't see the difference of length in my hair by using this but as someone with natural hair, this product definitely provides the moisture you need when your hair is on the dry side. I’ve been using this line of hair products for a while, and it is a great moisture lock for 4b/4c hair! I highly recommend using this product with your favorite leave in-conditioner, as it mixes well with just about any! I paired this grease with after I washed my hair and performed a twist based protective style on my hair, and after few days, my hair is still moisturized!! The only cons to this product is that if you solely use it on your hair, it will be extremely greasy and it does have a slight smell to it. After you get done rubbing it into your hair, the surrounding area will smell like the grease, haha. To alleviate the smell, don’t just use this on your hair alone. So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. But overall I would definitely recommend to others. Perhaps slightly ticker hair wouldn’t have as much problem on day one – mine is just so very thin.rebecca.d
I've used this product intermittently for 15+ years. Over the last 5 or so it's become my go-to. I have fine, type 3 curls, low/medium porosity and medium density. I can't even begin to tell you how many different shampoos/conditioners I've tried, and I always come back to this set or the Ultra Hydrasource. I've never experienced any hair loss whatsoever, in fact, I have with other brands and once I go back to this it stops. The smell is absolutely amazing also! I wash my 1-2x a week with this, and in between I use a co-wash from Curlsmith. I always start with using the detangling solution from this line and brush through in the shower with my wet brush. I rinse, shampoo with this, then use the Hydrasource conditioner or a deep conditioner. I comb that through and let sit for several minutes and rinse. Even with very dark natural hair and having bleached highlights (touch ups every 3-6 months), my hairdresser brags about how healthy my hair is! I get a trim every 8 weeks, and she always tells me I don't even need it because of how healthy my ends are, even during post-COVID hair issues I was experiencing (loss and thinning). My husband also started using this when he ran out of his Redken Brews and his hair is VERY fine and thin, and he said he couldn't believe how much better his hair looked and felt (he's also a curly guy, only getting his hair cut/shaved 2-3x year). ⭐️First of all let’s get this out of the way, I was incentivized. I received these samples for free from Influenster and matrix for my honest opinion⭐️ Now that’s out of the way… Oh my hair is loving me right now… I waited until shampoo day and it was well worth it! After using the amazing shampoo I was a little skeptical that my hair would take to this conditioner because it’s so damaged and after I wash it I usually have to put a million and one conditioning products in it just to make it manageable!!! Well let me tell you this is not the case! After issuing a decent size dollop I ran it through my hair starting at the ends and working my way up to the root. Then I added a little bit of water to make it activate a little bit and VIOLA! I let it sit in my hair for about 5 to 10 minutes and then I rinse with lukewarm water. I gently towel dry my hair afterwards and went to come through with a white tooth comb. This is the first time that the comb actually ran through my hair because my hair is so damaged. I literally want to cry. If your hair is out of control and it’s breaking to no end you should really try this and give it a little time and you will see such a difference. I want to wash my hair so badly again but I know I have to wait till it’s actually dirty! The smell is so lovely and it doesn’t fade away but it’s also not overbearing. Give it a try it!! This stuff is amazing! It’s a custard type of product(even though it says cream) so it has a massive hold and it helps weigh my hair down a little which I need for stretched hair. It also leaves my hair really smooth and moisturized. And it smells amazing! You’re probably seen me say that in a lot of my reviews but I can’t help it. A lot of brands have amazing smelling products. Which is great, kudos to them and keep it coming please. My only gripe is that it’s a teeny over the price I normally pay for hair products. This nourishing hair oil from Sol de Janeiro performs pretty well, and I love that it has the classic scent from their Bum Bum cream! The bottle is beautiful and made of weighted glass, giving it a lux feel. The formula is rich and definitely on the thicker side, but once warming in between my fingers I am able to apply it easily. Just 1-2 pumps is enough to disperse throughout my ends to mid-length without going overboard (I have relatively long hair). I can also confirm that it works to calm frizzies, makes my hair more manageable and gives a nice shine. While it is nourishing to a degree as well, I wish it delivered more moisture into my hair. Adding more doesn’t seem to do much for hydration, while adding too much just makes my hair look greasy and slick as expected. I really enjoy this hair oil, especially the smell! The fragrance is the same as the original fragrance in the rest of the line. The smell is really heavy, but not overwhelming. It does calm down, but you’ll still be able to smell it all day. I have long thick hair with dry ends and rely on oils and and sprays to keep it soft and manageable. Most oils I will use a dime sized portion, but this product comes in a glass bottle with a dispenser that only puts out one drop at a time. The consistency is tick, even sticky, more like a serum than a runny oil. Being so thick, using more than a drop or 2 does leave my hair greasy. It’s well worth the price and I’ll definitely repurchase for the fragrance alone, but it won’t replace my other products that I still need for tangles and frizz. My only real complaint is that a glass bottle and oily hands don’t mix – I’ve dropped it several times and worry it will shatter one of these days. Ok, so I bought this on the app early access day and will give my honest review. I use many different oils as I like to switch up my products every time I wash my hair, including Moroccan oil, olaplex oil, Dae prickly pair oil, ouia oil, gisou and briogeo don’t despair repair hair oil. Compared to all of those, this is by far the thickest oil for sure. I have thick straight hair and a lot of it, so I can get away with a good amount of oil. I am a stay at home mom so I have times where I actually use products to style my hair, and times where I put in more nutrient moisturizing products to just let it sit in a bun. This oil is definitely better distributed on damp hair, on dry hair it’s kind of thick and skips as you run your fingers through but I have to say it smells AMAZING and does have a few unique ingredients which I look for when buying hair care. With that being said this is definitely more of a treatment oil for me that a styling oil and it gives self care vibes with the smell so I give it a 5 star! Would be nice if it was slightly less thick but I’m sure that’s due to the unique ingredients. Sorry for the long review! I'd been looking for the right combination to get a natural looking red/auburn (I CANNOT pull off ginger much to my chagrin) for almost a year and was afraid to go red again after my last experience with red (well orange) but I can't talk enough about how good this product is. I had mousy, light brown hair that is, at this point after 5 or so years of frowning it out, virgin hair. I also don't use heat on my hair so it's rather resistant to most temporary, semi- or Demi permanent color, which leads to a LOT of transfer. I have little to no transfer even with day 3-4 hair or after the shower as long as I rinse until the water is clear. I mix the merlot and copper shades 50/50 and use it every other wash in the place of my normal cleansing conditioner which equals about 1x a week for me with my curly girl routine. I've found this maintains the color without having to wait extended periods of time with goop on your head. I only do that every 4-5 washes depending on how my color is holding up. I get so many compliments on the color (it's been described to me as Irish setter red if you want a visual aid). People are shocked when I say it's dyed which is crazy to me but definitely welcome! I have very few gripes about the product, only really two minor things. Unfortunately, like almost every other non-permanent due on the market, it does have silicones, it just comes with the territory but I find that the shampooing with the color keeps my hair from getting too limp or messing with my curl pattern (3A). I don't like silicones but it's a trade-off I find worth it, especially given that I can stop using the product if it's weighing my hair down and messing with the curls. In addition to that, because I have to mix the colors and red is notorious for staining, my hands, my bathroom and tub have become Peach Bellini or red tinted on more than one occasion but that's more me not being careful enough than the product being bad. This review is for maintaining fashion color that was done professionally. I had purple and pink rainbow hair. My stylist recommended using this product as directed every other wash. I mixed the pink with a small amount of purple to make a dark pink. It really seemed to revive both colors. I applied to wet hair, used in place of shampoo and conditioner, left in for the rest of my shower, and then rinsed with cool water. Afterwards I applied olaplex hair perfector and a few drops of olaplex oil. Every time my hair was left perfectly soft and clean. I easily made it 3 months between color appointments. The bottle does say to test the product before each use. I imagine there must be some allergic reactions that can result, which I think is supported by several reviews stating they had hair loss. I would recommend being careful about trying to use this as a dye or for extended time on dry hair. This product does not work on my natural brunette growth. Lastly, this can stain your hands, but it won't for long. I just rinse my hands after every segment of hair that I work it into. I also have a scalp scrubber and wide tooth comb that I use to gently distribute so I'm not just using my hands. Rinse the product off of the shower walls and tub or it can stain, but bleach spray takes it right out.B

my daughter recommended this shampoo along with the conditioner. I was surprisingly disappointed. I of course thought right away that it would be effective based on the cost. Not at all, for starters I felt it made my hair more tangled and hard to manage which concerned me cause I already have course hair and figured how am I going to get out of this tangled mess. Literally the worst expensive shampoo I have ever used. It doesn’t lather that well, and it makes my hair feel tangled, heavy, and sticky after rinsing it out. I have tried shampooing twice in the shower, and it still makes my hair feel so darn heavy! What on earth is going on? The other It’s a 10 products I use are amazing. I was completely surprised that this didn't do for me what all the reviews I read said it would. I understand everyone's hair is different but I read so many reviews raving about this that I had no doubt that this was going to be the best shampoo I'd ever tried. Boy was I wrong… The first issue I had with this was that it didn't latter do a degree that I am used to. I thought I was going to be able to work around this but without the latter I really didn't feel as though it was cleaning my hair. I started with one pump but that really only washed the top of my head- barely. Another pump for my hair (mid back length, curly) which lathered even less on the strands then my scalp. Using two pumps – sometimes three- really doesn't bode well for the life of the product. With that said problem two arose; this barely lasted a month and a half using it every other day. At 24$ a bottle it really isn't realistic for me to keep purchasing when I was having no results and basically dumping it down the drain. Results were really nonexistent, my hair was still frizzy and ultimately more dry than before I started using it. There was no real change in texture in the month I used it. There was no problem for me with the smell like some people had, it just smelled like salon shampoo. Unfortunately I will not be purchasing this again, however I wouldn't tell people to stay away as so many reviewers said that it did wonders for them so I imagine I'm just an off case. (As a disclaimer I did use this with the It's a 10 conditioner so my problems weren't conditioner based.)mariah.h

I've been using this product for years and it is great! I especially recommend it for dry hair, curly hair and color treated hair. A little of this product goes a long way and the price is always right. Whether deep conditioning or a simple shampoo and style it always brings back moisture to the hair. I find the smell to be refreshing and not as described in some of the other reviews but that's a personal preference. Okay I'm curious about this product and the claims it helps reduce shedding/fallout. I can say I had less shedding after using this shampoo. I will see how it does after a few washes. It wasn't very moisturizing for me though. The SNAG FREE pre shampoo had such great slip and had my hair feeling great. I was expecting a lot more from this shampoo. I’m a huge fan of pre-pooing since it makes washing my 3c/4a hair much easier and this pre-shampoo did not disappoint. I like that I could easily work it into larger sections so I didn’t have to spend too much time applying it. I sectioned my hair into 4 parts and then sectioned each of those into two (for a total of 8 sections) to work the product in. I went in with a quick finger detangle then followed up with my detangling brush. Let’s just say my curls were poppin! Made the shampooing and conditioning steps a breeze.a2b18
Okay when I first tried this I was like what ? This step has been a game changer in my curly routine. I never thought of detangling my hair before shampoo. well so far this has been fantastic! I've been using this for about a month now and I've seen a massive improvement in the thickness and density, softness, managablitliy and overall health of my hair. My hair has changed significantly over the years as I age, and I've got wiry curl in parts, frizz in others, and wiry Grey's down my part. my hair has been thinning more and more over the years as well, to the point where I'm needing to use dark eyeshadow on my scalp at the part line. I know this is working because I've no longer needed to do this step. I color my Grey's religiously, just the regrowth but thus I've sustained damage as a result. this product has been amazing for healing some of this as well. I have been trying to air dry my hair prior to using my Dyson flat iron, to minimize some of the damage, but the problem with air drying is that many products then feel as if there a coating left on my hair. I've been searching for products that don't do this, and Nioxin has delivered. it doesn't feel coated or weighed down it feels soft and full and smooth and absolutely perfect. it's rare I find something that I fall in love with and I really do love this system. I did receive this entire system from a free sample program but here's the thing- I've received so many hair products through free sampling programs and I've never gone on to repurchase them. but this one I will continue using. im so excited to see what it looks like in 6 months if it already looks this fabulous. even my co workers have noticed it and asked if i got my hair done! i really like how there is so many classification depending on hair type too, like colored and dry etc. the fact that it's sold as a system is a bonus, there's no guesswork in navigating 3 diff products and there's no issue with 1 or 2 of the required products being sold out, which happens all the time with other products. it's super convenient and also affordable too…I'll definitely purchase this soon as im almost out!tartarbinx
I used this system some years back when I first noticed signs of thinning which worried me (too much hair coming out on my brush and in the shower). My hair salon suggested to me to try this and I have to admit it did help with the hair loss (it slowed down), but I never noticed any changes in regrowth or thickening which I was hoping I might achieve from continued use. The system itself was easy enough to use and make a part of my haircare routine although I did find the shampoo to be quite drying for my hair type. The conditioner would balance that out but it felt like it was struggling to put back into my hair what the shampoo was taking out. I have been using this for years (female with dry, colored, thinning hair) and am so glad that it’s now at Sephora. I have long hair and you don’t need much of the shampoo or conditioner (I find I do need to use additional conditioning products because my hair is dry). The scalp spray is great for additional volume. I started losing volume in my 30, i was also experiencing hair loss/thinning at my hair line and consulted a dermatologist. I bought a laser hair cap that was ridiculously expensive and used it as directed for years and didn’t notice any difference. He also suggested a topical that I would have to apply daily and once stopped, I would most likely lose any hair that had grown back. I really like using these products and how my hair feels after using them. I ordered the whole set during the flash sale and when I received the products the shampoo, conditioning spray, and the conditioner weren't closed properly so most of the product was in the bottom of the box. I sent an email about the issue but I received another email for a link that doesn't work to open a ticket. No one has reached out to me and I have been sent the same link twice. My previous order the pumps on the bottles were broken. I just chalked that up to shipping but when the products are sent to you already opened, that's a whole other issue.Marcia W.
This is one of my top five shampoos for people who have a four c hair texture! The smell is amazing. It definitely gives off hints of pomegranate and honey which is the perfect snow combination. It provides a thick rich and full leather without having to use 17 pumps of shampoo. I Projects like that mielle products are parabens and sulfates paraffins and mineral oil all free. I will be the first to say that being that I have for sea hair this is not a detangling product. Moisturizing absolutely. Cleaning your hair it also removes all the impurities. I was a little disappointed when I received my black Friday package from Mielle. I have ordered before and have been pleased but this time it was like everything was thrown in a box and shipped. The box was so beat up its like the products could have came out and almost would have im certain had it been tossed around any more and I know that part wasn't so much their fault but I figured it would have been put into another box to ship to prevent that problem. The products had no confetti at least to soften how its thrown around everything was so greasy i thought for sure a product or 3 were leaking and also nothing was wrapped at least in bubble wrap considering how it was boxed up. Literally just thrown in the box any kind of way. The Shampoo gets your hair very clean. there is nothing left in the hair you can feel the cleanliness. I think this would be great for anyone looking to remove all product, glue, extensions, build up ect. from hair. This shampoo will do the trick. For my own personal use, I would only use this when cleaning my hair from those purposes just listed. Because ethnic hair can tend to be very dry, stripping thr hair of more oils on a regular basis wouldn't be ideal for me. I'm always looking to add more moisture to my hair while doing the washing and conditioning process. I enjoyed the CONDITIONER as well but it isn't Moisturizing enough to the level that I want it to be. While preforming it on my natural hair. I recently relaxed and cut my hair, perhaps using it on non-kinky hair the experience will be different.leena.g
I am incredibly picky when it comes to my hair care. I color my hair with henna and my scalp also doesn't respond very well to strong formulas. This formula is quite luxurious. The conditioner is a light formula and I found no extra hair shedding. It washed out easily, left my hair clean and with no residue. I also noticed that I was able to go just as long in between washes as my previous shampoo and conditioner. My roots felt like there was extra volume and overall my hair did not feel weighed down. I personally have normal to dry hair which I color so I try to only wash every 3 to 4 days. My daughter also tried this shampoo and conditioner but she felt like it shortened the time in between washes and she has normal to oily hair.lucy.v
