I have long hair and I usually use about 2 or three pumps. It smells great and smooths any frizz. This lotion is great. It feels very lightweight, I have oily scalp and hair that is tend to be greasy fast and yet very frizzy due to highlights and straightening. I was glad to find out that this lotion is not greasy or sticky and doesn’t weigh my hair down and It does help protect my hair from heat treatment and it’s noticeable. After two week of use I noticed that it helped my hair look smoother and less frizzy. I actually liked the result so much that I even take the time to use my hair straightener more frequently. I really enjoyed the shampoo from this line, but I feel the conditioner & smoothing cream are too heavy for my hair type. I shampoo and style my hair once a week and with the use of this product I had to shampoo after 2 days due to itchy scalp and just overall weighing my hair down. I got this due to the reviews plus I like the Jojoba leave in. I’ve tried it and tried to use it differently but this just doesn’t cut it. Like others have said it can get greasy. I got some fried spots from it, I’ve tried to understand how the reviews are so high. I also can’t use even two sprays in my bathroom as it fills the whole room and it’s not exxactly small. I’ve thought maybe I don’t know how to use it. I wanted to love it but had to purchase from a different heat protector and that’s doing wonders for me.Samantha
Been buying this for over a decade. Recently they change their novel and every time I spray at the nozzle sticks in the downward position and I have to lift it up. It’s incredibly annoying. I am hoping to swap it out for the old sprayer if they have it in stores but if they don’t I will be looking elsewhere for a new heat protection spray. It is one thing to raise the prices (used to be 6.29 back in the day) but when you downgrade the quality of the bottle it makes me not want to bother anymore. I contemplated buying a spray bottle to put this in but why, I’m already paying $10 with tax for this! Product itself is great which is why I been buying it since 2005 so please change to the original nozzle if you want to retain long term consumer of this product.
I’ve used MegaSilk for several years now and love the results. I am an African American woman with medium to fine hair. I used to roller set my hair but hated the results. Only when leaving the hair salon will I have smooth, shiny hair with body. I was afraid to blow dry and flat iron my hair because of possible breakage and flat dull hair. I use this on days I plan on using a flat iron. I use a dime size amount and work it through my hair before blow drying with my round brush. It really helps tame my frizz and keep my hair manageable. My scalp tends to get oily quickly and sometimes products like this make it worse. However, I haven't noticed that when using this. Love this! Bought a 2nd tube to have on hand if they ever discontinue it. I have fine textured, semi-curly bleached hair, but a lot of it. This doesn't weight my hair down or leave it sticky or stiff. It simply adds lots of healthy-feeling volume without frizz (for reference, I blow dry and flat iron my hair). Today, I used Posh for the 1st time. I didn't use it with damp hair in my prepping before using the Le Volume. I used this product afterwards, to cut down on my frizz and fly-aways especially around my ends. I was nervous about this because when I typically do a "blow-out" using the Le Volume my ends looks a little ratty bc I have thin hair. Using the POSH helped give it a more cohesive look at the ends. Didn't weigh it down either since when I put product in my hand it's like an oily consistency after rubbing it together. I then ran it along my ends and along mid-shaft. I have thick curly hair that is prone to frizz; especially on humid days. A friend recommended I try l'ange products, specifically POSH. I was reluctant to buy something online as I've "fallen" for too many online products that don't deliver their promises. My friend knows this and gave me a few dollops of her posh to try while we were at the beach for a few days. WOW! I have very fine stick straight hair and I always get a little frizziness after styling my hair. I’ve tried every product out there so I was shocked when I tried Posh. Because my hair is fine, thin and straight it takes a VERY SMALL amount – just a small dot on my finger rubbed through my fingers and then through my hair – to tame any frizzies that result from heat styling. My brush rolls smoothly through my hair when blow drying and my hair looks great after using any styling iron or brush. I have NATURAL HAIR. I have 3C curls. I typically don’t straighten my hair, it’s usually in it’s natural form. I’ve tested out a couple of products over the years, but many have failed to work. A lot of products tend to weigh my hair down and make it oil rather quickly. I purchased this product off of a single review written by a person of color. I hadn’t seen any accept one. I sectioned my hair and applied the product in dime size amounts to sections of my hair, distributing it with a denman brush. I used my Dyson blow dryer to straighten in and then the magic actually happened when the flat iron came into play. I really saw how effective the product was. It was smooth, flowing, and extremely shiny. I only applied a dime size amount of Olaplex before straightening and the Kérastase did all the magic actually. If any women of color are wondering if this product will work for your texture, I suggest you try it!caricha
Let me start with, if you use a blow dry brush, this product is AMAZING! Blow dry brushes speed up the drying process, but they are incredibly drying. I hadn't found a product until now that kept my hair from feeling dry after using the brush. Kerastase left my hair feeling soft and hydrated. It also doesn't leave an oily residue like some products. By the time I am done drying, my hair has volume and shine. It's fabulous. When I straighten or curl, it's even shinier than after simply blow drying. I love it! My hair feels so protected! I will be using this forever to protect my hair. This product is AMAZING! From the moment i opened the box I was so excited. I love that it comes sealed and nicely packaged in a box. I was so excited to give the Kerastase Heat Protecting Leave-in Treatment a try that I went straight to shampoo my hair. After towel-drying, I applied to my damp hair. It smells so good, like a light parfume scent. The cream-like texture was so nice that after I put it in my hair that I left it on my hands. I LOVE a good heat protectant cream, but some can add weight and heaviness. This Kerastase leave-in does not! It is light weight and left my hair feeling like silk! The shine it gave was wonderful! This came highly recommended to me so I was super disappointed when it continually left my hair gummy and sticky. I could barely get a brush through after styling! I tried a few different application techniques but couldn’t bring myself to use it more than 3 or 4 times before throwing it out. I had a bad hair day every single time I used this product and had to wash it out by the end of the day. It has a lot of positive reviews so who knows, maybe it will work for you, but I would not recommend this product if someone asked. I choose this product, as I always use heat protection spray on my hair when using my hair straighteners. The product arrived very quickly and has a stylish look about it. The purpose of this product is to provide #heatprotection, it is also #sulfatefree #parabenfree #dyefree and #mineraloilfree. That's a huge bonus because those things are terrible for your hair. This product contains coconut and argan oil as well. The instructions state to simply apply the product after washing but before applying heat a.k.a blow drying,flat ironing, and/or curling. I had the opportunity to try Hair Food's new coconut and argan oil "Heat Protection Blend" and I would enjoy sharing my experience. I used this product on my towel-dried hair after shampooing and conditioning as usual. I flipped my head upside down and spritzed liberally then straightened up and applied a little more. I worked it through with my fingers and then I blow dried as usual. I did not use any other product on my hair so I could really get an idea of Hair Food's benefits. After blow drying and a bit of finger combing, my hair was soft and shiny. Very nice! The product also has a great smell that filled the whole bathroom while I was drying my hair! As my hair is thin, it only takes me a couple of minutes to dry, and I only use curling irons or flat irons occasionally, I probably wouldn't use this product much BUT…we did have an accidental discovery! My boyfriend grabbed the Hair Food heat protection spray after showering and sprayed it (probably quite generously!) on his hair and WOW! His very curly red locks looked great! He did not blow dry or apply any kind of heat but his hair looked and felt awesome, shiny and SO soft! So, I would definitely recommend this product for anyone with thick, curly hair, regardless of heat applications. I love this product! When I first used it I was drawn in by the smell. It is so light and refreshing and I love the guava scent. I have been using this for about a week now and am loving it! I use it mostly when I get out of the shower as a detangler. After spraying it, I am easily able to brush through my curly hair, which usually has a lot of tangles. I have 2C/3A botticelli, coarse, high porosity hair that eats products and loves small proteins. This spray smells lovely and the scent lasts for quite some time (high po) like a perfume. However my hair does not like coconut of any variety and that ingredient is very drying so after a few uses, it went from shiny and lustrous to dull and knotty. This is honestly the best hair product I've ever used. My stylist recommended it because parts of my hair tend to get very frizzy and I love it. This keeps my hair nice and smooth for days. I've tried many different hair products for frizziness and this is by far the best. It's a bit on the pricey side but it is a high end product. You only need about a dime sized amount so it'll last you a long time and it smells like an orange creamsicle so that's nice.

I purchased a small bottle at Ulta recently and wasn't very impressed. It makes my hair feel weird after I straighten it (I let the product fully dry on my hair BEFORE straightening it) when I run my hands through my hair, it would feel dry, starchy, crunchy, tight, I don't know how to perfectly describe it, but I do know it's not the best feeling. I'm going to stick with the other heat protectant from this same brand, the orange and white bottle. That UV/Heat protectant isn't as watery as this one, and it is slightly heavier when sprayed, but it dries down light, and makes my hair feel so soft! Fine-haired friends — use on wet hair! My hair is fine, recovering from bleach damage, and very prone to oil. I originally followed the instructions and used on dry hair, which was no bueno. It was too heavy and felt greasy. I then tried it on towel-dried hair pre-blow dry and it is AMAZING. The Bumble and Bumble Thermal Protection Mist is one of the best heat protectants out there. The mist allows the product to be evenly dispersed throughout the hair quickly and efficiently. Due to its conditioning properties, this heat protectant de-frizzes and nourishes the hair while also protecting the hair from up to 450 Fahrenheit! The only downside is that the product isn't sold in larger sizes; however, you don't need a large amount of product while using.
