1. Amazon Smart Thermostat Works With Alexa

Product Details:
Amazon smart thermostat is energy star certified. easily switch your traditional thermostat and help reduce energy usage. for on-the-go comfort, let alexa set the temperature, or set it yourself from anywhere with the alexa app. amazon smart thermostat is compatible with most 24v hvac systems (like conventional force air, heat pump, radiant boilers, etc). it does not work with 110-240v hvac systems (like electric baseboard heat). smart thermostats require a c-wire (most homes have one) or a c-wire adapter kit (sold separately). guided installation instructions are included in the alexa app, and will walk you through checking for a c-wire or options for powering your thermostat.

Reviews:
The Amazon smart thermostat is a very basic smart thermostat. It is fairly easy to install and once installed, operates without any complications. I do recommend having an "Alexa" unit available, but not necessary, it just makes remote operations easier. Also, please note that it will take a few days before the thermostat is able to truly feel the desired temperatures. Until then, expect to make subtle adjustment changes for approximately the first 48 hours or so. The only real disappointment(s) is that I wish there was more programmable capacity and maybe it should show the current room temperature with the preset desired temperature. All in all a great basic, economical, "no frills" smart thermostat.james309
The thermostat looks good. Compact and basic. Comes with a bigger wall plate for replacing an older style, larger thermostat so that you don’t have to paint, etc. Comes with a screwdriver and wall anchors. Seemingly all that you would need to install this. I did find that you can check for compatibility prior to purchase by following a couple quick steps on the Amazon app. The packaging and included parts seem well thought out. Once installed along with the app, setup was cumbersome. Having a heat pump with gas furnace, the setup was painful. I was honestly unable to get it to function properly. It would call for the gas furnace “emergency heat” backup to come on well above the outdoor temp threshold that the heat pump was designed to operate in. This causes the heating costs to go up significantly. Overall, I am disappointed with this product. I do feel like if you have a single heat source setup, such as gas only, this thermostat would work well. Unfortunately that was not the case for us.Gavean
I received the Amazon Smart Thermostat to test. I had my husband install the thermostat because I didn’t want to mess it up. He said that it took him 20 mins to install it and this is without looking at the instructions. If you are looking for the instructions for installation, it is in the Alexa app that you would need to download prior to installation. I setup the smart thermostat on my phone and it took me like maybe 5 mins to do that. It was very easy setup. I setup a schedule for it to follow and the thermostat is working very well. I like that I can control the temperature on the Alexa app. Its really nice to be able to either lower or increase the temperature outside of using the schedule when I know if I will be home or not. I also like that in the settings you can have the app notify you or even order air filter for you when you are running low. There is even a spot for you to add how much extra supply you have and when you last replace your filter, so that Alexa will better know when you need more supplies. Overall, this is a really nice smart thermostat. I like it. My husband only response to the installation is that the smart thermostat doesn’t have a built in level to help my sure that its straight.pthao1985

Reviews:
The amazon echo is a great addition to your home if you are open to having mics listening in on your activities and conversations. I know some don't like that, but those who allow it will find great convenience in getting information about weather, movies, actors, jokes, and more. Plus, you'll be able to request music, and with a little effort in the app, you can have the same music playing via a group across multiple echos and fire sticks, giving you a great way to have a sonos-like environment. While the intelligence of the questions aren't up to par with Google's similar devices, the echo will suffice for most. Just don't expect it to answer complex questions, or provide extremely precise answers in all cases. And if you're a smart home user who likes to control lights, thermostats, etc., then the echo and its alexa app let you do lots of cool things, and even automate them with routines (e.g., say "goodnight" at the end of the day to turn off all the lights and lower the thermostat). What's especially nice is if you have multiple brands, the alexa app bridges that complexity so it all plays nicely together. Keep a spare echo ready in your music group and you can bring it outside on the deck on a nice day and have your music – and control of your music – at your side. Just wish they'd come out with a waterproof or outdoor version to have it out there all the time.johnny
Received a echo dot with my purchase which was pretty cool. The little speaker is a fun addition to the household when you want to listen to music hands free. Or want to set alarms to wake you up in the morning. Can also use it to navigate your smart TV, amongst other things if you have more than one. Sounds pretty good for the size. Would've been cool if you were able to charge it and take it around the house. Definitely enjoying my little speaker. Might buy another to have in a second area soon. This would be a cool gift for someone older who wants to have a little speaker and isn't tech savy as far as hooking up to a Bluetooth speaker and having to use a music app to find music they like. They could just ask Alexa to create a playlist for them. Even the kids could enjoy this little device.GCas
This is way more fun than I expected. I dont use a lot of smarthome features, but now that I'm getting used to Alexa, things are about to change. Really convenient way to listen to tunes while I'm working on the computer or playing on my phone. I use it a lot for simple questions and information too. Im going to order some smart light bulbs soon so I can make her do even more for me. Haha My major complaint is that I can't use it to call or text someone unless they sign up with the Alexa app too. That's a loss of a whole star there, because Google smart devices do that just fine with my Samsung Galaxy devices. This was free with the purchase of a TV, but I've mulled around the idea of getting one for a few years. Ive got other speakers that are better sounding, but as far as convenience goes, this little Echo is great for me. It sits right beside my recliner on a table where I embarrassingly spend most of my time. There has never been a problem of hearing it or not hearing me. The reminders arw handy too. Hve been dabbling with the shopping lists feature too. I espect to use this more and more but really wish I could call and text my peeps with her.BigC
3. Amazon Echo Studio Smart Speaker – Glacier White

Product Details:
Reviews:
Replaced a Sonos One Gen2 with this echo studio in our home gym. I loved the Airplay2, the decent Alexa performance, and the sound quality is far and away the best. If it would function as a Firetv speaker or even a “dummy” Bluetooth speaker it would be perfect. I really wanted something I could connect to my TV in our home gym to boost the volume. I also wanted something that would connect to our Peloton bike too. Install: Setup was easy and it connected to Wi-Fi quickly. At first it kept saying it was not compatible with my Firetv stick but after a minute or two it suddenly decided they could be friends. I’m guessing it has something to do with it registering or something. Size: It is bigger and heavier than the Sonos. It did fit on the Sonos stand but I opted to add a strap around it to keep it on the base with weight being thrown around and doors opening and closing. Alexa: Responsive even with large fans and a heater running. Performs actions quickly (turning off lights, fans, setting the heater, etc.) Home Theater: Connected to my Firetv Stick 4K (latest model) to improve the sound on a cheap TV. The sound is good and gets loud but it I wouldn’t say it’s equivalent to a sound bar at the same price point. I didn’t find it to be cinema-quality, immersive, or “3D.” That’s fine for me where I just need football games to be louder but buying 2 of these plus a subwoofer would be silly when you could buy an all in one wireless surround system and an Echo for the same price. The volume control is laggy so be careful increasing the volume. As a speaker: I hate that it doesn’t have Airplay2. This was the major “give up” from switching from the Sonos. Im not an apple Stan but Airplay2 should be included and the only reason it isn’t is to force you to use Amazon’s terrible app. I have to Bluetooth connect this or deal with the clunky Apple Music skill inside the Alexa App. I don’t use Prime Music and after 5+ years with Apple Music I have no desire to switch. Sound quality for music: Meh. I listen to loud muddy metal, older alternative, rock, and rap. The Sonos filled a 25×15 empty room beautifully with excellent balance and a full sound including surprising bass. The Echo Studio has clear vocals almost as if it pushes them forward but the mids are lacking and hollow and the base is underwhelming. I have already ordered the subwoofer and I hope the Echo Studio retunes or recalibrates itself over time. Despite being called “Studio” it very much feels like it’s either trying to do too much without enough equalizer or it was designed for voice (Alexa and maybe TV). For me the added functionality was worth losing Airplay2 and the superior sound. If you just want something to play music and perform Alexa commands, the SONOS is far superior.ItsMe
Bought a couple of Echo Studios as a more affordable compare to my existing set of stereo paired HomePods. Tested in both a smaller 14' x 12' x 8' living room, as well as a larger 22' x 13' x 10' lofted living room. With both spatial sound (upward firing speakers) and standard stereo sound music was bass-heavy, hollow-sounding, and lacking in stereo separation one would expect, particularly for speakers with multiple speakers firing in different directions. Compared to the stereo HomePods these the Studios sounded like walkie-talkies: no comparison. Compared to a single test Sonos:One sound was equally hollow and lacking in depth. Sure, both Sonos and HomePods are premium speakers, but given the positioning of the Echo Studios as being the premium variant of the Echo line I really expected more than the what they delivered. Even my pair of Echo Plus' in stereo pair sounded better than the Studios. While sufficient for someone graduating from a baseline Echo Dot, anyone expecting bigger, room-filling sound from these beasts are best to keep looking elsewhere. Even at $150/each on sale, I ended up returning for a full refund.SpeedRacerX
This is my third Echo, the other two being a first generation and an Echo ll. They all do the same things, at least for how I use them. The difference is the improvement in sound quality, especially in the bass range. These units have effectively replaced my radio. I can tune in stations that are either unavailable over the air or have a marginal signal. And I love that all three units can play the same program simultaneously – music or talk everywhere! The fact that I have all the other utilities available (timers, alarms, quick answers to questions, weather, notifications, etc) is a bonus. My one complaint is about volume control. On the original Echo, volume is adjusted by turning a ring on top. This is not only intuitive, but you can do it in the dark. The two newer units have a + and a – button on top. Unless you are looking down at the unit in a lighted room, choosing the desired button is a matter of chance, unless you memorize which button does what. I know you can adjust it by voice, but I like the the easier option to fine tune it manually. Voice control requires that you interrupt the sound, and tell Alexa to change volume to one of 10 possible settings, not knowing where you’re starting from or if your first request will produce the desired result. The volume setting you request from Alexa may be louder or softer than you intended, thus requiring another request. It’s just easier to just do it by hand. This device won’t replace a serious audio system, but the reality is that most of my listening is an accompaniment to other activities, and for that, the Echo works brilliantly!Buckdancer

Reviews:
I love my fire stick because it makes streaming easy. I also love that I can use the voice feature to have Alexa help me find shows or movies to watch, too. I have to reset my fire stick at least once a week due to it freezing or lagging on videos, replaying the same clip from a video, audio and video not matching up, etc. it’s extremely annoying and I feel like it should not be happening as frequently as it does, especially because this isn’t exactly a new product and should have kinks worked out by now. More recently, I’ve had to reset my fire stick due to one of the above issues and upon restarting it – NO AUDIO. Despite the fact that all of my audio settings are correct and there are no other issues… and apparently this is a common problem as well? I just don’t think these issues should be so commonplace in this product, especially considering the company that owns it.ashley .s
I've been using Roku since 2017. I'm using this on my RokuTV. After so many years of Roku getting use to the FireStick interface has been frustrating. Thank the dear lord I found Wolf Launcher! It's a life saver. I have a tri-band router. Firestick tells me there is no connection way too frequently. I don't have this issue with anything else using the wifi. Just the Firestick. The user interface is just atrocious! Just do a google search for the Wolf Launcher. I found the latest video instructions on youtube easily. It's free, fully customizable. You can have folders, sections, widgets, choose your wallpaper, change the amount of time before the screen saver comes on (if you want a screensaver). OMG it's just amazing. I'm fairly happy the firestick now. Except for the remote. I hate the placement of the volume control. Before I found Wolf Launcher, it wasn't even close. Roku was the bees knees! It's still is compared to the normal Prime/FireStick TV gui experience. It's just a mess in a dumpster fire. I got another Firestick so Mom could have one, too. We use FuboTV and it's awful on the Roku. And it confuses her. Turn it on, select Fubo and it's already playing the last channel you or the dvr had on. It's a "feature" I really hate. Firestick doesn't do that. Just before I set up the Firestick for Mom, the one I've been using stopped working. I restarted, un-plugged/re-plugged it (this would get it to work for a few minutes) and I wound up resetting it. That was traumatic! I hope this doesn't become a repeat problem. I finally got a backup of my Wolf Launcher settings and figured out how to get a copy of it on my laptop and a usb drive. So, if I have to reset the FireStick again it won't be so traumatic. And I finally got a weather widget added! WooHoo. Mom will really like it.94044

Reviews:
I recently bought a homepod mini to see how it compares to this Echo. I gotta be honest that the smaller homepod mini sounds much better than the bigger Echo….but I'm still liking the Echo device better because of Alexa. I have programed Alexa to greet me every morning with a positive message, the weather report and the news. Alexa also greets me when I get home after work and sings me a little song. Alexa dims my lights in the evening and later says good night and plays 30 mins of soothing music while I drift off to sleep. I love all of the things I can program Alexa do for me. Unfortunately I cannot program Siri on the homepod to do all of these things. Siri can play music when you ask her to and tell you the weather when you ask her to but it doesn't compare to Alexa. Alexa also tells me when there is a delivery which is super cool. I'll keep both devices but honestly, the Echo devices rule in my household.Bimbombaby

Once you’ve connected it to your Wi-Fi you have access to the Alexa personal assistant, a mamas dream. With Alexa you can do everything from control compatible smart home devices, make a list, set reminders to asking it questions about the weather. I was able to play music directly from the speaker just by asking Alexa and the assistant was also helpful with controlling playback. And there are also buttons built into the top of the speaker for playback. I totally recommend turning on “Follow-up Mode” in device settings so that you don’t need to repeat the wake word after you’ve asked the speaker a question. So after you’ve asked Alexa a question it will answer and then automatically listen to for a few seconds to see if you have a follow up question, because saying Alexa each time can get a bit annoying. We’re a house full of Alexas so it’s nice to be able to talk within the devices instead of yelling for the kids to come downstairs. This 4th gen is larger and rounder than the previous generations we have but having a different look than the others is nice for aesthetics around the house. We also received the Amazon smart plug. It’s rectangular, 3 prong and measures 1.5 x 3 x 2 inches, so you need to make sure you have enough space to plug this THEN your cord to your electronic. Super easy to install, also within the Alexa App. It’s definitely convenient to be able to talk to turn our lights off with hands full of kids. Overall, Alexa is helpful and easy to use. From one busy mama to another, snag it up.
We decided to give Alexa a try with the Amazon Echo. The Echo was easy to set up. A few basic instructions, and we were off and running! We use it primarily to listen to music and ask about weather. We've played games on it a couple of times and really liked "Escape the Room." We've disabled purchases on ours so we don't have any mishaps (especially with the kiddo), but we may explore that more in the future. We also use it to keep up with our shopping list. One of the best things about our Echo is that I was able to set it up with a smart plug to our TV. The setup was simple, and now we can turn our TV on and off with a voice command. This is especially convenient because we don't have a remote for the TV itself, so we were having to turn it on manually before. The Echo is connected to our Firestick too, so we can navigate that by voice command now. The main drawback for us is that my husband and I cannot both connect our Amazon accounts to the Echo. We've tried everything. Because of a technicality, we have to wait six months before we can be in the same Amazon Household, so only one of us can be associated with our Echo. We even tried using Guest Connect, but Alexa is telling us this device does not support Guest Connect. Maybe in six months we'll be able to set it up so we can both use it fully. We also noticed the Echo is rather large compared to our previous smart speaker. We thought this might be due to superior sound quality. Although I have no complaints about the sound quality, I wouldn't say it's better. Overall, we're impressed with Alexa and our Echo. It's a convenient way to listen to music, get info, connect with other home devices, and stay organized. I would give five stars if it weren't for the issues with connecting two adults and the large size. I would still recommend this to a friend, but would make sure those aren't dealbreakers for them!md55

Reviews:
I purchased this to replace a very old kindle that was being lugged around for many years. I have experience from kindle first generation to kindle fire first generations (as well as 3rd gen), to kindle with keyboards and the first paperwhite model. I must say, this is by far the best for reading i have handled. This uses the fantastic e-ink still on a gently backlit screen, easy to read in the dark or sunlight, any setting. It is light and connects quickly to the internet and my library, loads books fast and flipping through books is quick. I habe a case that works with it and when it's closed it puts it to sleep, and when opens it awakens. Battery life is very good, one charge lasts over 30 days of use for me at least thus far, never really let it get all the way dead. Overall, this is a reasonable value and if it lasts as long as my previous versions, and they don't make it software obsolete, i will be a very happy buyer.averageguy
I bought this recently as I grew tired of reading on my iPhone and iPad. The former is too small and the latter too big and both are too heavy. This Kindle is Goldilocks of screens, exactly right. The digital ink actually makes for a reading experience that is both closer to paper than LCD screens and also better as well. Also, in direct light I usually turn off the back light to conserve power as it really isn't needed. This would be ideal for reading poolside on a bright day. The only downside is that the screen has a slight but perceptible delay to it, sort of like computers from the late '90s. It's not bad, really, but just not as instantaneous as an iPhone or iPad. Still, for the purpose of reading books, I believe it is outstanding. Highly recommended.TheRaVen
Oh I’m literally obsessed. I was shocked. I was super anti-kindle it for YEARS because I’m not a screen reader, I like turning pages, I like a physical book collection, yada yada. BUT — I’m not even kidding, I cannot put this thing down. I read 4 books in 7 days because of how much I truly enjoy it & how easy it makes reading. It’s not super “technologically advanced” like an iPad/iPhone & can sometimes be a little slow to get back to your library or shop the kindle store, but honestly I have 0 issues with it & it’s easy to learn how to use. Part of me also wishes the book covers could have some color BUT I think that would mess with the overall “true to paper” style so I don’t mind the black & white. The screen is not your average computer/tablet screen. It’s soft, perfectly lit, & is such a comfortable read. You can set the text to multiple fonts/sizes, change the brightness & warmness, and the charge holds for weeks. I’m now actually searching for the physical books I have ON the kindle because I’d rather read them there. If you’re on the fence, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. It is slightly more expensive but waiting for a promotion/sale made it definitely doable for me!Violet

Reviews:
Well for the price "was on sale" and what i need it for it was 1 of 2 options i was looking at it does actually well. I purchased for my 11 year old who just wanted something to watch some hulu, hbo,Netflix and such on. Picture looks great so far, clear and vibrant and is about average for ease of use. Only problems are refresh rate and sound even then its fine at this price point. Sound isnt bad basically what you'd expect out of a cheaper tv. Actually ive heard far worse, ones you have to crank until them tweeters sing inside your head and then for some reason you still cant hear it. This isnt like that but isnt a 500$ stand alone speaker. Would work good for a RV tv or spare bedroom. You can get a better TV for about 60 to 80 bucks more or so. You can also spend 2 grand and get something great. But for 250$ I aint mad about it.WhyAmIHere
IDK, somehow Amazon suddenly making TV's and budget models just seems like an experiment and one I wish to study a few more years before coming to a conclusion on. Their TV's aren't terrible, reliability is TBD for sure, but their so comparable overall to long established budget brands like Insignia & Hisense I'd probably say go with one of them because their an established TV maker. Whereas Amazon is still new enough to TV's to the point that I think it's very fair to question their reputation in this field. Any company can make TV's! This looks like a typical budget TV but I'm definitely holding off on giving a final opinion here until Amazon TV's have been around for at least 5 years. Until then, their reliability is definitely a valid question.Matt
Picked one of these up from a local Best Buy. The first one I had to take back because of a burning smell which I suspect the glue they use on the screens was it or a bad tv logic board. This also happened with the toshiba hisense made fire tv which I had too manny problems with which I took back . Now the second Amazon fire series 4 tv I exchanged it fore doesn’t have the burning smell but had to turn up the brightness and colors on the second one. Also have to note if you set these TVs to movie color setting the tv will flicker. Which means eighter the tv can’t handle that setting or Amazon needs to come up with an update to fix that and the dull colors and bit too dark for the screen. But noted I think tcl made these TVs for Amazon and there not the greatest tv company so your gonna get inconsistent quality control etc. I needed this tv because of the HDMI earc connection for proper Dolby Atmos sound to work with an Atmos sound bar. Also the 4K . Too bad this model doesn’t support Dolby vision it should have for this price. Overall it’s an ok tv if you find one cheap enough but I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise.John

Reviews:
Voucher for Pandora is a "3 month pass" but really just links you to a 90 day free trial, which is an offer available multiple times a year with no purchase requirements (if not 2 month, or 14 day available). Worse, you have to enter your credit card or paypal details–which is not stated on the online voucher or on the card included with the purchase. Basically, it's a hook to get you accidentally overstaying your 90 days and getting charged $10 a month. The other promos are ridiculously overvalued premium Alexa skill in-app purchases, mostly on low-rated Alexa games. Essentially, since there were no actual details in any of the documentation, I feel like this was VERY oversold and under-delivered. When purchasing, I considered the voucher as offsetting part of the cost of upgrading my device, and that was a mistake. If you find a better deal with no voucher, you're probably better off. The device itself is smaller than the original (gen 1) Echo, height-wise. Compared to the 1st generation, the volume is quieter overall, the treble less pronounced, and the mids perhaps a bit more muted. The bass is solid, but having the overall sound skewed towards the lower range tends to make the music sound more "muddled". While the sound of the original seemed to have more range, this model does a decent job of reproducing music in a non-audiophile setting. I felt my gen 1 echo was a bit of a dud with the far-field mic not being as impressive as described by others, having to raise my voice considerably at times to make it work. Other times, I found the gen 2 dot in the bedroom, several yards further away responding rather than the nearby echo. This gen 2 model though seems to have a far more sensitive pickup, responding to requests easily and without fail. I haven't tried under difficult to hear conditions yet, but I would figure it would work better than my previous device.drewp
Let me first start off by saying that I am a total audiophile, and my expectations when it comes to speaker quality and performance is higher than high. I was in need of a new speaker that I didn’t have to constantly charge or one that I would misplace. I also didn’t want an eyesore in the middle of my decor. My sister and I split the cost of this TSV after I watched the presentation all day. I had seen the Echo on QVC several times before, but the value of this bundle couldn’t be passed up. It was our Christmas gift to each other, even though we live in the same house. We unboxed our Heather Gray Echo speakers (which looks AWESOME with any decor, btw), downloaded then Alexa app, connected to WiFi and immediately started asking Alexa to play songs to test the quality. MARK MY WORDS – THIS SOUNDS AS RICH AND FULL AS ANY BOSE I’VE EVER HEARD. The ratio of bass to treble is just about perfect, and you can really hear every layer of both the vocals and the music. We are both INCREDIBLY impressed so far. I read that the first release of the 2nd Gen for horrible reviews for the sound. Amazon has since fixed the software, and that’s evident. Do yourself a favor and join Amazon Music Unlimited for only $.99/month for the first 3. Then, as an Echo device owner, it’s only $3.99/month after that. I’m getting farther and farther away from iTunes (which is not compatible with Amazon devices, FYI. Don’t even need it here anyway) I feel so strongly about this speaker that I had to write a review. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t love this as a gift, especially at this price. I’m debating ordering another set, which I’ll probably just keep for myself : )surfergirl_46
I have friends that think because I have Echo Dot's in my house, the Government is listening to everything I say. As a person who has worked in the computer industry for over 40 years, I can tell you there isn't enough memory to store more than a sentence. That being said, there are times when saying something similar to "Alexa" will cause a unit to oddly respond to something when you least expect it. Putting a remote on every Echo and selecting the "mute" button means never having to trigger the unit with your voice ever again. Keep one of these handy for each Echo and triggering your Echo's with a remote solves much of the disconnect the Echo has in understanding what is said. These work great and are so inexpensive, I bought 1 for every Echo I have in the house. Just make sure that instead of "first" trying to pair your Echo with a Remote, that you have it search for Bluetooth devices to initially set these up. As unused or refurbished items, they will not have any firmware installed and thus the only thing they will respond back to the Echo with is a MAC address. Once connected, the Echo will recognize it as a Remote and install the initial firmware.loosebwep

I bought this when TSV for my 12 year old grandson for Christmas. I don't know about the device since it is not Christmas yet, but I have tried making the Caseable custom case for it, and the site does not work right. After many many attempts at loading the two pictures, it finally accepted the pictures; however, when I tried to add to the cart, it came up with this long red error. I emailed Caseable three different times. I finally got a reply telling me to upload using a different browser which I did. It gave me the same long red error. THIS IS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I asked for a phone number in the fourth email and even asked if they could place the order for me and I attached the two photos for the front and back of the case. I got no reply back. The free case voucher was a big part of why I bought. My 12 year old grandson cannot read or write and lives in a group home for his education. I thought he would love seeing his family picture on it, and he would know it was his. I also purchased the extra DS card. I hope the device works better than the website for Caseable. This was very deceptive. I am a regular QVC shopper.BaileyFarms0
I rarely leave reviews, but I was pretty disappointed by the tablet. It is extremely clunky from a uix pov. I use the iPad Pro, and I do everything on it. I thought I would give this a try just to see how it works and it was a reasonable enough price point for me to take that risk. I also figured I could use it for streaming and use my iPad mostly for all the work I already do on it. Ultimately, the quality of this tablet pales in comparison to an iPad, let alone iPad Pro. I have not tried other tablets, so I can't speak to them, but there's a lot of work and room for improvement to be done by Amazon if they want to stay in this space-on myriad levels, even for this price point. The tablet doesn't remotely compare to the quality of any Apple ipad of any generation. I am not an employee or rep for Apple, and am actually more of a moonlighting tech enthusiast. Having said that, another reason why I'm leaving a review is because they are now offering it on HSN for less money and on a two-for-one basis. they have the same parent and to me this indicates the fact that the quality just isn't there on this product and they need to get rid of them. I wish they would offer a credit to a customer like me who recently purchased it. I would say get it on HSN if you have kids get it on the two for one basis and you could probably get a coupon at hsn so you could probably get it for around $60-70 for two instead of $89 for one.kat88881111
I am seriously confused by the negative reviews as I have nothing but praise for this fire tablet. Having bought several of these over the years, my last purchase, the Fire 10th edition I dropped and damaged. I had intended to purchase the same from Amazon but the price of this Fire 11th edition offer proved no contest. This 11th edition tablet was delivered within two days following, which I had no problems with the transfer from my previous notwithstanding that the previous was damaged beyond repair. I am very pleased with this tablet it has all previous features plus easy access to u tube and social media. The picture quality has improved from my previous too. The only query relates to the exchange voucher for the protective case (as insisted by my husband given previous breakage). I attempted to obtain the free case together with an additional screen protector. When however attempting to pay, a message in German informed me that payment through my Amazon account, as offered, was not supported? I plan therefore to just access the free case!Maya

Reviews:
This product is amazing! I have the Amazon Echo 8 and the tower. I tried the Amazon Echo Show 10 but wasn’t a big fan of it. For the same price you can get this, the Amazon Echo Show 15. The screen is simply wonderful. It looks like a big picture frame but does so much more. You can mount on the wall but I prefer the stand which you can place horizontal or vertical. I like the landscape mode. The sound clarity is actually really good. It’s not distorted. I noticed upon buying the Echo Show 10 it had a few glitches so I returned. In my opinion it’s a personal preference but this latest Echo Show 15 does not disappoint. It has a camera for video calling, it has also the privacy button so you can hide the camera button. It does everything the Alexa can do but on a nice colorful screen. I just ordered this and it arrived yesterday from Best Buy. It has widgets, notes, etc. I love it! I highly recommend. I also recommend the table top stand!heather.s
I've been slowly gaining interest in the home tech world. It took me a bit to fall in love with my echo home speakers, and I rather dismissed the "show" speaker versions for a while. I didn't think that I needed to actually "see" what a speaker could offer. This Amazon Echo Show 15 proved to me exactly what a visual speaker could do in my home! I'm TOTALLY IN LOVE with this device! It's not so smart that it belittles me, and it's smart enough to make my life just a bit simpler. When I opened the box, I instantly saw a primo piece of equipment. The large 15.6 inch Full HD (1080p) smart display screams quality. It also has a 5 MP camera, which can be closed with three flip of a switch. You can also easily turn off the microphone, as desired. The speakers work well. They don't have the power of my original echo, but it's obvious that they are designed to be used on/near a wall, so they are placed in such a way to use the wall to bounce the acoustics off. I do play my music playlists on it, and although it's not as great as my echo, it has a nice clear, loud sound. The entire display is surrounded by a sleek black frame, which allows it to incorporate well into my home decor. It's designed to be hung on the wall, and comes with a device to do so. I decided to use a stand, purchased separately, because I'm using it on my kitchen counter near where I prepare meals, and I like to watch YouTube recipes in landscape (horizontally), while cooking. Otherwise, I use it displayed in portrait (vertically), as a photo display and electronic family bulletin board. This device does need to be plugged in to operate, and comes with a 30W power adapter and 5 ft. cord. It's not wireless, so keep that in mind when deciding where to place. I added my (necessary) Wi-Fi, and Amazon account info, and within five minutes from unboxing, I was deciding which widgets to add to the home screen, and using the new Show 15. I love being able to display family photos, and learned that the speed that the display scrolls can be adjusted. I also use the events and calendar to keep my family on schedule. The shopping list is a feature that I use daily to ask Alexa to add things as needed. I'm planning to add my ring camera to it as well, set it up for video chats, and look for new ways to use Amazon Echo Show 15 every day.Pamiam
The Echo Show 15 is large as can be seen in the picture below with my Show 10. However, the Show 15 picture is beautiful and my favorite aspect is the white “matting” look on the edge. The matting makes it look like a classy frame. I set up an Amazon Photos file with approximately twenty pictures just to see if I really want to use it in this manner and so far I love it. Seeing pictures of the grandkids rotate through the display is so much better than the news! Set up was simple, connected easily to my Wi-Fi and I selected a few “widgets.” It took a little work with the Alexa app to get my old Ring doorbell live view to display but eventually it worked. I am still deciding whether I want to use it in portrait or landscape mode. I had a small picture stand that is sturdy enough for landscape mode but I will need to buy a sturdy stand if I want to set it up in portrait. Since many of my photos will display best in portrait orientation, I think I will end up in that direction. The wall mounts look sleek but my kitchen doesn’t have substantial wall space next to an electrical outlet to enable me to try that set up.Kathy F

Reviews:
Purchased 2, one for a new TV and one for an older (4 years) model. Both provide the same level of service but the interface with the TV (mostly at start up) is different. Do that really matter – no still gets you to the same place. Setup was simple but I had all the accounts and passwords ready before I started. Step by step was simple, the sound bar was different – I had to roll through a long list before I got to mine but that that worked perfectly. I remember setting up that soundbay in my Xfinity remote looking at a small piece of paper folded more times than an origami flower and then still having to pick one of 5 available codes. I wish the 4 buttons at the bottom were programmable instead of fixed – maybe future software upgrade. This version does require power and comes with an converter – I instead purchased the patch cable which allows it to pull power from a USB port (if you have one open). Much cleaner.OlderPerson
So far I'm pleased with my firesticks, I have 2 in my house and a Fire Tv. Amazon really do a good job enclosing such a great device in a small box smaller than its remote control. I have no complaints about any of the fire sticks I have. Great product! I have a Nvidia Shield tv box very pricey and worthless, not always when you buy something this expensive, you get what is expected because its price. I started to have problems with my shield a year after I purchased it. I still the have the first version of firestick, the one that didn't have Alexa yet. It still works! It is slow but for the many years I used it. Money well spent. 24 bucks I paid for it at Best Buy. I just had to retire it for a better version. Very pleased!Rilo
I told my wife not to buy firestick because most of the movies are average quality at best, and 5 (yes 5) of my friends had remote issues! Guess what? My wife bought it, and the remote would drain the batteries completely within 5 minutes! We went through about $30 in batteries waiting for another remote to arrive (another brand new remote). When the "new" remote arrived it did the exact god dam thing as the previous remote……drained the batteries within minutes. I snatched the garbage firestick and remotes and gave them to a local Boys & Girls Club and said best of luck, as i explained the issue to them. They took the firestick and remotes and found the same issue we'd had with them. So they ordered yet another remote and imagine this……same dam issue! I now let everyone i know how terrible of a product this truly is! I'm much happier paying for HBO, HULU, Amazon Prime, etc, etc. All providers (above mentioned) provide perfect streaming abilities and my Roku remote has the same batteries in it for a year now with not one issue. Firestick……it should be thrown in the fire! If i could give a negative star review i wouldRonin Roper

Reviews:
A little bit pricey but is worth it. That thing tracking your voice and your face is awesome. I use it to control a lot of devices at home, watch news and mainly to use it as a digital display of my pictures stored in the unlimited storage that Amazon photos offers if you are a prime subscriber. The cool thing is that you can select directly from the echo show the person/s you want to see since amazon photos tags automatically similar faces and the you can edit the tag and put specific names for the members of your family. Also you can see the weather, youtube, hulu and a lot of free channels. The security camera option is amazing and be able to rotate the view is a plus. I have not tried the video call feature since you have to get the other person using also a similar device or i think you can use skype (not sure who uses skype nowadays)Alejoeche
This echo show 10, 3rd generation is by far their best one yet. You can link it to your Prime Membership account. With prime you get unlimited photo storage which you can view on your unit with daily memories. With prime you also get Amazon basic or Amazon premium music which of course you can listen to on your echo show. The speaker is a pretty decent speaker and it's really convenient to just tell Alexa that you want to listen to some music or you want to watch a movie. I mean technically you can watch Prime videos on this unit. And another thing I love is I have Blink cameras which is part of Amazon. And I can watch them on the screen. Like if somebody comes to the door my Blink DoorBell Cam will pick up the person when he rings the bell and then I will get a notification along with a sound on my screen telling me that someone is at the door. Then I can look over at the screen and decide if I want to open the door or not. lol and all your other blink cameras can be seen on the Echo Show. So there are many different things unit will do. And it's personalized to how you want to set it up. It remembers the music you were listening to before and all that. It has a very decent quality to what's being seen on the screen. And at night it shows the date and time but if the lights are turned off in your room or wherever you have it, then that display of time is visible but not bright at all. So I have mine next to my bed and if I wake up through the night I can look over and see the time and it's so dull of a light that it does not disturb your sleep. I mean I can go on and on about this unit it's well worth the money that you'll spend. It also has a motion thing where the screen will follow you wherever you are in a room when you're doing a video call. You can also disable that if you decide you don't want to use it. And also the camera on here can be a part of your blink camera's setup. You will not regret buying this. It makes no difference to me if you do or you don't. But there's so many different things that you can do that will keep you entertained with this Echo Show that make it well worth the investment.CookMaster
I have and love and use an Echo Show 5, so when I had the opportunity to pick up the Amazon Echo Show 10 | HD smart display with motion and Alexa I did not hesitate. The good news is everything I love about the Echo 5 is here, but in a larger, more functional, and better sounding design. Having a smart home already built upon Alexa, the Echo 10 was seamlessly integrated into the family of devices. Music, dinner alerts, and device controls can be made from any of the units, making control simple, convenient, and energy efficient. After our first Echo, we bought our parents the 8 for Christmas (they loving it as we do), so communication is fun and simple, especially during times of quarantines and social distancing. The grandparent and grandkids owe much of their relationships the past year to devices I’m such as the Echo. Again, it’s easy to set up, especially if you already have the Alexa app, as we do. Light and cameras go into different zones or rooms, grouped so they are easily and quickly controlled. Too, it integrates perfectly with my non Amazon smart devices (such as my doorbell camera), so I don’t have to juggle multiple apps. My doorbell cam displays perfectly on my Echo 10, for example. I decided to place the Echo Show 10 in the kitchen, thinking mostly that the video and hands free operation would be most useful where the food is being prepped, and it’s perfect for us there. No more do we have to touch our phone to see a recipes, touch food, forget a step, was our hands and reawaken our phone (over and over). Now the recipe is constantly available visually on the Echo Show, and Alexa and help answer any question like “Alexa how much salt did you say I need,” with the convenience I have when my mother in-law is actually with me in the kitchen. To the Smart Display with motion will actually follow you around as you move about (a function that you can turn off with the flip of a switch, if you’re concerned about privacy.) This feature is particularly useful during online virtual meetings as you aren’t tethered in one spot, but can instead multitask while meeting with work or friends. The speaker is obviously much larger than what was in the Echo Show 5, and while I was happy with the previous versions sound quality, the Echo Show 10 is vastly better, offering deeper, filler sound, and louder too. It’s fun to follow along with the lyrics of sounds on the screen, and adjusting the volume is as easy as telling Alexa, “sound up,” or “volume 4,” or whatever. She’s a very clever girl, this Alexa. Other things I love and use constantly are weather reports, alarms, and photos reels. And really I’m just scratching the surface, as the Amazon Echo Show 10 seems to be endlessly functionable. I obviously recommend, and am excited to see what Amazon comes up with next to improve and simplify my life!Kmill

Reviews:
I bought the echo show eight as an upgrade to my echo dot. I set it up and everything was working except for Amazon music. Songs would start play for a little while and then shut down. I went online looking for advice and tried a number of suggestions. I moved it closer to my Internet source. I moved it further from my Internet source. I shut it down turned it on again and repeated this a number of times. I left it overnight tried it again the next day and it would not work. I found on the Internet that they were number of complaints about the echo show having this problem. Eventually I decided I would return it and I left it sitting on The counter for a couple of days. In a final attempt before I boxed it for return I tried once again to listen to Amazon music it worked fine and it has been working fine ever since.??.? I have no idea why this happened but it did cause me much frustrationJJ
This is by far our family's favorite device. Someone is using it off and on all day, every day. We keep the Echo Show in our kitchen and I use it for music while I cook. My boys use it for watching shows while they eat breakfast and lunch. My boys also ask Alexa questions throughout the day, about the time or using a timer, about the weather, reading the news. We get ideas about what to watch as well. I really like the recipe suggestions! The size is perfect for a kitchen counter, the screen is sharp and clear. The sound quality is pretty nice for music coming from such a small speaker, it's surprising really. Everything is very responsive when pushed or touched, the buttons have good feedback. I have no complaints at all and will probably purchase more for other rooms in the house- just not the kid's room because they would watch it all night! I love the video option when I'm not at home, I use my phone to video chat with the kids on it and it's just easier to understand each other when we can see each other. I appreciate that we can easily turn the camera off though with the slide of a button.Brandil
I was intrigued by the possibilities that this Echo Show 8 offers and decided to try it for myself. I never had one before, so I cannot compare it to older models. But I can say it has a nice large screen, clear picture, and great speaker. I also appreciate that it is easy to get started and use without any prior knowledge of how if works. I find that both kids and adults can easily navigate and operate this device without a problem. For my purposes, it’s an alarm clock, radio, speaker, video screen for both phone calls and movies, and the list goes on. It’s also a wealth of information and services. Your wish is as easy as a voice command. Simply ask Alexa for information and she finds it and gives it. You can even give voice commands to skip songs, raise and lower volume, make calls, search for and watch shows. No need to figure out anything, just say the word and it does it. Elderly people can especially benefit from this as well. If they need help, Alexa can call for it. It can also serve as a picture frame and scroll through your photos. I am very impressed with this Echo Show 8. The possibilities are endless and I look forward to discovering even more ways that it can help make life easier.Lady Luck

It just keeps getting better. Noticeably improved sound, wifi mesh expansion from the start, if you happen to have Eero wifi, and Amazon stuck with the same shape, alleviating the obsolescence of mounts when you upgrade? That's awesome, especially since the Eero 6 +/Pro gear is so expensive (as are all the brands).JayF
This alexa has changed everything, our family loves playing music on speakers and alexa was definitely a huge change to how we used to listen to music. We got smart lights and outlets to connect to it as well and whenever we forget to turn off a light we’re able to simply turn it off via the app. I’ve had this product for over 8 months and nothing has failed, and it works incredible, I recommend it to anyone looking to make their life a little easier.vanessaxo
Bought this item for safety reasons – if I fall or can't get to a phone in an emergency, I can ask Alexa to call for help. Even brought one to work in case I am there alone. Other than that, it's pretty neat to be able to ask Alexa for information, even jokes, or to use as an alarm clock. Would recommend.RoseannA

Reviews:
Very easy to set up! Literally plug, connect, and play! I dont think set up took more than 10 minutes over WiFi! If you are looking to cut the satellite or cable cord, and mostly watch streaming services over WiFi, this is a must! Even if you dont subscribe to any streaming services, you can still find free content to watch! If you already have an Amazon account, set up will be faster. Once you are connected, navigating the system doesnt take much time to get used to, and is very user friendly and I dont use the voice control. The performance of the Fire TV Stick is very smooth. A WiFi connection can vary for some, but I recommend using the extender that comes in the package for a faster and better experience. Overall, I love it! I havent even had mine a full day; explored only a fraction of the available apps, watched a movie through one of my streaming services, and I am highly impressed! Without hesitation, I recommend the Fire TV Stick. Its easy to set up; take with you when traveling, and no hassle of dealing with a satellite or cable service when moving.Tamil
Works perfectly! We purchased this lite version to use in our 2019 Honda Odessey mini van. The power cord is long enough to reach the AC adapter in the front while the HDMI fire stick stays plugged into the back of the center console without any issue. We hotspot our internet for the kids to stream on the go. No more buying BluRay/DVDs just for the kids to complain they are bored of watching them every time we travel. Even with the fire stick being close to floor level- the remote works fine from each seat in our vehicle. I’ve included pictures of how it is setup in our van if anyone else is curious. It took about 15 min to setup and most of that was simply logging into our different apps. Only works with WiFi/Hotspot connection obviously.TraTraRN
This fire stick has all the same features as my older version fire stick, except volume controls, dolby sound or a power button. It still has 1080p HD quality video, dual band wifi and 8g storage, as well as Alexa voice remote. This is also very fast, much faster than my older version. I personally do not even miss the volume control or power button. I just love how fast this is for streaming. I know that this is Amazon's economical version of their fire stick and I would say that this is all that you need. Definitely a great option in their fire stick line. Just try it, you will not be disappointed!!Nanette03

Reviews:
This product is awesome and SO easy to set up if you have an Amazon Echo. I'm not saying other brands are not good and I have 2 myself but I just gave up on plug-in's that weren't Amazon since I have an Echo. With other brands, it gets into the weeds trying to find out how to link the plug with the Amazon Echo. You have to start new web apps on most and then linking the website to the Alexa App is difficult and it all gets crazy so even though there are cheaper plug-ins out there for Echo, I will gladly pay a few dollars more for an Amazon Plug than another brand because of the ease of operation both in locating the plug on the Alexa App and the simplicity of having to use just one app (Alexa) to control my Echo devices. Now, some of you out there may just think I'm stupid because I have trouble with other brands, but I don't care. The Alexa plug is best for the Echo and Alexa app.razorbackman1
This is the completely upgraded version of The Clapper for old folks. If your elderly family members do not have these, they along with a Echo device would make a great gift for them. I can turn on a light from a completely different location in the house so I do not have to walk into a dark room. I can also go into bedroom and turn off the lights in a different area of the house. Makes it much safer and easier.msmilitary
Be careful because these things are addictive. I started with one and now have 4 plus I've started my daughter and parents in on them. When I come into a dark house now, I can just tell Alexa to turn on a specific light or I can say "wax on" which is my wax burner. I even had one attached to my Christmas tree so I didn't have to make sure I could reach the switch. I absolutely recommend these Smart Plugs but I would caution that you make sure it's an Amazon Smart Plug so you have no issues connecting to Alexa. You won't be sorry.msbonjo

Reviews:
I swear Fire devices get better with each release! I’ve owned previous Fire devices and the 4k and sound enhance with each generation. The picture is crystal clear with absolutely no lag or pixelation whatsoever. The display is beautiful and you can adjust the settings if you choose. It controls my sound bar and tv. The voice recognition is spot on and instantaneous. Built in Alexa is great and can be accessed by the remote. It does have the standard Amazon remote. The upgrade to the head-core processor and upgrade in storage really takes the cake. I would always run out of storage on previous models but have yet to run into that issue this go round and I’ve downloaded tons of apps. Very happy with the Fire cube!Rdj3000a
I do not have a 4K TV and yet this Fire TV Cube creates a much sharper/clearer picture on my HD Samsung TV. Set up is extremely easy. It does not include an HDMI cable. I had an HDMI cable on hand so that was no issue for me. Set up basically consist of unboxing the product, plugging in the cables, placing the included batteries in the remote, and following the prompts on the tv. Mine was all set up and running within minutes. It does check for updates and will install any needed, yet again, that only took a couple of minutes. It has some ap's already installed and you can install more if you so choose. It's all very easy. I like that I can tell Alexa turn tv off. So convenient. The screen/menu is very well laid out making It easy to find 'free' channels/movies/live tv/etc. I truly am very impressed by it and love how sharp it makes the picture. Really beautiful!
My Review for the fire tv cube, hands-free streaming device with Alexa. Assembling and installing is very simple with this device. Adding new streaming channels or apps is also simple. However, it can get a bit frustrating when your actually streaming on a specific channel. Alexa doesn't understand pause, play, return, continue as a voice command once you start watching a show / movie and pause it (with controller). The controller has to be used for these simple commands. Also, there is so much going on on the screen when your looking for a program or streaming channel it feels overwhelming to look through everything on the screen. Although Alexa is there to help all it does is find a listing of what sounds similar to what you asked, when you find what you want and ask for Alexa to play, it won't you have to rely on the controller to get to the program you want to see. It also has what appears to be a screen protector as your viewing/streaming a program and it goes from one episode to the next I noticed it darkens the tv screen. I still don't know how to work this feature so I find myself pausing and playing to get the TV back to the original brightness. Overall, this is an okay screening device.Promom5

Reviews:
I've never had an Amazon Fire Stick before. I've tried numerous Roku's only to send them back because my purpose was to eventually cut cable so I wanted a clear QVC and HSN channel like it is through cable. Roku's was not good at all. It wasn't even HD. When I saw this on a Bonus Buy which was a tremendous price and I saw that you could stream QVC/HSN through it I thought I'll give this a try since it supports 4K and I have a 4K TV. For me though the tipping point was that I saw a "Mad Men" icon on the screen when he was presenting it, which is my all time favorite show that I haven't been able to watch or find anywhere. It was on the IMDB channel. So when I set it up, which was super easy and tells you exactly what to do, I searched for Mad Men and much to my delight I can now watch every episode again! Also when I downloaded the QVC/HSN app you can watch live. The picture isn't quite what you get through cable but certainly better than Roku's, so it's a winner for me to have this even if I used it for nothing else!foodie105
I would not ever buy anything from this site again. This is a fraud, the product description says "New Fire TV Stick 4K with New Alexa Voice Remote Streamer" but when I received the package it was on a remote without the stick and did not even include batteries. Before this product was shipped I suspected that it maybe only a remote, so I contacted the support for this site and asked the question that if this included the stick as well and here is their response : Thank you for contacting DailySale Customer Service. I understand that you are inquiring about the product that you have purchased. Please be advised that yes, it includes the Stick and Remote. We're sorry for any confusion. I hope this information helps. And now of course I can not even contact to get a refund and when you go through the site to return it, it is giving me partial credit which will not even pay for the return shipping fees….I paid for a total of $34.97 including shipping fees and taxes and now they want to credit me $16.02 which of course does not include the shipping fees that I have to payback …. I hope you guys do not fall for this scam..Amir R.

Reviews:
After some problems with a google smart device I decided to try their competitors. Wow am I glad I did. After looking at the different Alexa devices I found one with some pretty nice features. This (Mine is in a beautiful blue color) seemed to have everything I was looking for. Other than the general ‘smart speaker’ abilities, this came with a digital clock that shows behind the front of the speaker with a light blue glow. On the top of the Echo, there are 4 button; 2 of them adjust the volume, 1 is a mute button and the last helps to connect to wifi and other settings. While those were the features that made me choose this Alexa Echo I was pleasantly surprised to see that, when asked about the weather, it not only verbalizes the answer but displays it as well. Now, for my favorite feature: once connected with my Ring Doorbell and other smart devices on the Alexa App (and without setting this up) Alexa is able to verbally notify me when someone rings the doorbell. Overall, I am loving my choice of Echo and so much happier after switching to Alexa.heather.n
This was a pretty garbage device from the second I got it. I’ll be the first to admit despising an admission of it, but even Siri is better than this thing. Just a constant of ‘I’m having trouble playing that right now, try again later’ but for everything. The speaker quality was decent at best, it was all nothing but mid-range. The high and low ends were extremely washed out. What you see here is what you get. A talking bowling ball. I was extremely dissatisfied with this product over the entire year I had it, minus two months where it wouldn’t function at all, claiming issues with software updates, but wouldn’t connect to the app to actually perform the update, even Amazon couldn’t help, but lo and behold it actually worked one day. In conclusion, save your money, and get a good Bluetooth speaker to hook to your phone, or one of the Apple devices similar, it’ll save you the inconvenience.Seth
Amazon Echo Dot Review With more and more smart speakers popping up on the market, the consumer has more choices to choose from. The Amazon Echo Dot Fourth Generation allows the user to listen to music, complete tasks, and more by saying one word. The Amazon Echo Dot Fourth Generation is the overall best small smart speaker in the market, because of its great sound quality, accessibility, and affordable price tag. Firstly, the Amazon Echo Dot or just Echo Dot for short, provides great sound quality for when listening to music, listening to the news, or just communicating with the Echo Dot, that is incomparable to others. This is mainly due to the front firing speaker system that allows the rather small device to disperse the sound waves to all walls of a room. When placed in a room, the smart speaker can provide immersive sound that will instantaneously lighten the mood. The latest Echo Dot has much better speaker quality than its prior generations, and in my opinion than most of its competitors. The speaker will help in even the most simple of tasks, such as an alarm. The sound quality allows users to be woken up with their favorite song, with just the right amount of sound. The sound quality of the Echo Dot is a key feature of why it is best, and could be a major breaking point in purchasing the Amazon Echo Dot. Additionally, the Amazon Echo Dot incorporates a simple yet powerful word that can allow your house and surroundings to access technology, unlike its competitors. The wake word, “Alexa,” opens the Echo Dot to many possibilities. From this simple word and a subsequent phrase, the smart speaker may do common household things like telling the user the weather. The great thing about the Echo Dot is that it connects to many third party applications and devices. For example, it may connect to the user's light bulb to allow for a command to turn on the light. Pairing eligible third party devices with the smart speaker is so simple, due to its intuitive app. By connecting the device with third party devices, you may create commands such as, “Alexa, open the garage,” that makes day to day so much more simple. Echo dot also has the capability of grouping commands. I use, “Alexa turn on the house,” to turn on all of the lights in my household without separately turning each light on. This key feature of being able to access the appliances of your household by saying one word to a device, is something that sets the Echo Dot apart from its competition. Lastly, at a low cost, the Amazon Echo Dot provides the user with top end functionality without the hefty price. Compared to its competitors, the Echo Dot provides many more features that allow for a great total experience. For many future smart speaker buyers, the price may scare them away. Luckily, at a price of fifty U.S. dollars, that goes on sale frequently, the Echo Dot is one of the most affordable high-tech smart speakers in the market. I personally got my Echo Dot on sale for twenty-five U.S. dollars, which just shows that the Echo Dot will go on sale. The price of the smart speaker does not take away any aspects of the device, but instead adds on to why the device should be purchased. The price of the Echo Dot, is a major reason why the device is superior to its competitors, and of why it is the best small smart speaker. The Amazon Echo Dot Fourth Generation is the best overall small smart speaker in the market, because of its great sound quality, accessibility, and affordable price tag. The information above shows that the Echo Dot is a product unlike any other. Its immersive sound is of another level, and it's accessibility that may connect the house of the user is something that cannot be done any more simply. All of this for the slim price tag is why I, and many others, highly suggest that the Amazon Echo Dot Fourth Generation is the best overall small smart speaker in the current market.BestBuyCustomer

I got this because I recently purchased the Arlo pro security cameras and I read these cameras will sync with this particular Echo. I wish I would have researched this on line before I purchased it because it seems this feature does not compute. All I read were complaints about this feature not working. They were right. I set it up exactly as stated and Alexa keeps telling me she can't find the cameras even tho it found the devices when I set it up. I am sending it back tomorrow. Thank goodness for QVC's return policy. This is why I do most of this kind of shopping here because I know they will accept my return on electronics with no kind of restocking fee what so ever. Great customer service!!calliekoo
I’m always the late person when it comes to buying technical gadgets—and I’m glad I waited until Amazon came out with an Echo with a small screen. I mainly bought this to use as my alarm clock, since my old fashioned clock was on its last leg. This little amazing gadget is so much more! It’s really not fair to call it a gadget, but it’s definitely what I call an assistant! No more messing with buttons to turn on and off my alarm, and with the included smart plug, I don’t need to fumble in the dark for the light switch in the morning to turn on my bedroom lamp that’s across the room! There are so many fun features and things to do I’m learning more and more every day! You can even download free apps to use your Echo As a sound machine, etc! I am SO glad I purchased this! I think it was worth every Penny.Ninnie
I love this Echo Spot and the TP Link smart plug!! We have a total of 4 Alexa devices in our home and 5 TP Link smart plugs, along with 4 TP Link smart bulbs. First off, you do not have to use a smart phone for all users involved as stated in a previous review. You do initially set up your TP Link via iOS or Android app, but you then link your TP Link plug or bulb to your Alexa device and can control the device via Alexa. It’s a s simple as saying, “Alexa, turn on the bedroom lamp”, or “Alexa, turn on the box fan” or whatever device you have plugged into your TP Link. I have been using My Echo (gen 2) with two TP Link smart plugs in my room with a lamp and a box fan for over a year and I rarely use the phone app to control my devices. I even set up a TP Link smart bulb in my daughters room and she doesn’t have the TP Link app! I set it all up for her and she controls the device with her Echo Dot. When I do use the app it’s usually when I’m at work to make sure I told Alexa to turn one of them off before I walked out the door. These two products work wonderfully together and I have not had any difficulty or inconveniences at all with either of them. I’ve had The Echo Spot for 2 days now and it is a great addition to my family of Echo devices. If you have questions or difficulty with either device I would suggest seeking out websites offering tips and tricks for new users prior to sending it back or stating information that could possibly prevent someone else from purchasing either device.Msrharp
