Best Honey Brown Hair Dye (2025 Update)

I used this for the first time this week. I really like the shade. The trick to getting a good application is to make sure you shampoo your hair before application so it’s damp and why residue/build up is gone, which can make the color not adhere to your hair. Remember, semi-permanent coats the surface of your hair, not the cuticle, so you want it as clean as possible. Using it on dry hair will give you a tint, but probably not the bright effect you were hoping for. Liked it so much, I got a few more shades of red and brown to try out.shannon.g

this stuff is AMAZING!! So I have been on the grey silver hair trend (well trying to get there at least) lol and the stuff is a lifesaver! I couldn't get the darn brass out of my hair and it was driving me crazy! tried almost everything! My last option was toning but after all the bleaching I didn't want to use chemicals… this saved my life and turned my pale yellow to a beautiful silver after one wash with a little bit in my shampoo! then I shadow tried with it full strength! no brass slightly profile like I wanted (only in the sun and thats because I left it on as little longer to achieve the purple silver look). I also used it on my son because w bleached his mohawk twice but was still orange like really orange! one freaking wash with a purple shampoo I made with this (a little stronger than the one I made for my hair since his was so orange) and we got a beautiful silver!! I'm 1 wash!! no more expensive purple shampoo for me baby! I got one bottle and have made 3 batches of purple shampoo, shadow ripped my hair fill strength 4 times and still have over half a bottle left! This bottle will last you a good while if you mix with water. It will still do the job and look bright and shiny. I used this to colour the blonde as my regrowth came through and trust me it looks better then having half blonde half black hair. Mixed this with the sapphire and got a beautiful blue. Love this product. My hair is badly damaged due to beach, long time use of hair colours and sunshine. This Makes my hair shiny and soft. It doesn't completely cover grey hair, but sort of colours them slightly lighter so it looks natural. Will continue using this. Excellent product. Best hair coloring product on the market. Semipermanent dye gradually fades without stark lines of demarcation. No buildup of permanent product means no crunchy ends. It does tint your hair to this shade. But that's all the good it does. It made my hair very frizzy and brittle and unmanageable. It was very hard to brush my hair after washing it out. Soooo very dry. So very puffy. My hair was in good condition before this too. The color lasted only a week with 2 washes. It doesn't stick for me. I have normal density, fine strain hair. When it does wash out, it has a green hue to it. I would stay far away from this product. There's other a lot more moisturizing and healthy products to deposit color into your hair. I used this before in the grey/silver color and it did nothing (my hair was too dark I think) but the crimson is great to extend the color of my now red hair. The best thing is that it conditions really well. You apply it after shampooing to towel dryer hair , so I use it as my in shower conditioner. It’s smooths my hair and gives it a light bouncy shine when dry. It did make it more of a dramatic red vs a natural red that I had originally died it, but that’s better than the faded red color that it faded too. As an all over color this may not be the best it would probably be very pink but as a boost for extension products it’s a non damaging conditioning option. I love this! It definitely has put a super fun flare to my hair. It is really easy to use I love there is not a lot of steps or mixing. Really impressed with this. I bought 7 Dark Blonde after a particularly bad 'balayage' job (mostly awful white/yellow highlights) and the colour has come out exactly as it's shown on the box. I still had my natural light brown roots and this has blended really well after being on for 20 minutes. It's obviously not the colour I wanted when I set out trying to be lighter with the initial balayage attempt, but it has rescued my hair from that disaster, and at least I can leave the house again without a hat! It's in no way very dark, and as it's a semi dye it will fade and the lighter colours will come through again a bit more in time. If you're despairing about a terrible blonde dye job and want to get back to a dark blonde/lighter brown then this is for you. I did use a purple shampoo on my hair a few days before I used the dye, although I'm not sure how much difference it made to this outcome. This dye seems to have redder tones to it after application which might freak you out initially, but it settles and blends. It does give good coverage, and the blonde comes through with subtle tones, so don't use it if you want to still be mainly a light blonde colour, you will most likely be the colour on the box. If you're looking for something to just tone down yellow brassiness then I don't think this will be for you, as I think it will initially cover your blonde. As ever, it's good to do a patch test if you're not sure you'll like the final results.Anna

I have been using this brand haircolor for years, trying different shades. I recently went through chemo therapy and lost all my hair. Since it’s grown back in its come in with a lot of grey. I have naturally medium brown hair. It is in excellent condition and thought I would color it with this new formula. So many reviews state the new formula is not as good as the old, I love the new formula. No burning on application, no hot roots, more even coverage. Many reviews also stated that the sheets are much darker than reflected on the box. For this reason I purchased suede light brown. It is so dark! Thankfully I don’t mind dark hair on myself. This is the only negative. My hair feels so soft and fluffy. And it was great at covering my greys! I will definitely purchase again. I used to color my hair with Clairol Natural Instincts about 10 years ago and never had an issue. With a special event coming up I decided to freshen my hair up with some color. Upon reading the instructions it seemed as if the product had improved since I last used it. I bought two packages, but one bottle covered my shoulder-length hair just fine. However, after applying and rinsing out the product as instructed, I noticed that my hair didn't feel very good. Back in the day it used to leave my hair super silky and soft, like a model in a shampoo commercial. But the real horror happened after I dried my hair and realized that the color I got was NOT the color on the box! I selected #4 dark brown to get a Hersheys dark chocolate color. Instead my hair came out looking like kona coffee grounds in water (aka, almost black). It looks completely unnatural and now I'm trying to desperately get it to wash out early. (In the shower for the first wash since coloring, my hair felt like even more of a bird's nest than when I rinsed the dye out. Bleh!) I have now sworn off hair dye for the rest of my life. spent weeks bleaching out my daughters hair and decided to try this brand. she really loved the royal purple it showed on the box. but when we put it on her hair it was staright blue. it darkened up a little after leaving it in for double the time it said to but ultimately came out as a light blue. nowhere near ROYAL PURPLE at all!amber

I have platinum white hair and our water leaves me with that terrible yellow color in some places. I mixed a little of this with my purple conditioner and it toned the yellow out. PERMANENT! Says it washed out after around 4 shampoos. That is false. Still was as vibrant as ever. Washed multiple times with dish soap, which is a KNOWN stripping agent. Had to get a professional hair color remover to use TWICE. Also, this was not "light golden copper" but turned my hair Ronald McDonald Red. Never again.Stephanie

I am unable to use permanent hair colors due to allergies and always found this to be a great alternative to covering my gray hair. I have noticed a change in the quality of Clairols Beautiful Collection moisturizing color. I use the colors Darkest Brown and some Black and it does not cover the few gray hairs I have any longer. The color also does not last as long as it did in the past with even less frequent shampooing. I am torn because I have been looking for other products that will perform as well as this one used to.del-rio.s

I picked this colour probably about 6 to 12 months ago. Wasn't sure about it at first. I have dark brown hair naturally. I usually dye it a chestnut colour. So this is a bit different than what I usually dye my hair with. But people have been complimenting how they love the colour my hair, so I kept it this colour since then, and I absolutely love it. This is the first time I have ever dyed my hair, I’ve had naturally red curly hair all my life but wanted to change it up a bit. I’ve always wanted to dye my hair burgundy so I got shade BR2 passion fruit. I will say it is such a pretty color but it isn’t exactly like the picture on the box. I’m sure that’s to be expected especially since I already have natural red hair. The color turned my red hair into a darker color with purple undertones, there’s definitely a noticeable difference which is what I was looking for. The reason for 3 stars is because this hair dye smells absolutely HORRIBLE. The whole time I was applying it to my hair my eyes were watering as well as my nose burning. It felt like I had inhaled a ton of chemicals, even almost 10 hours later It still feels as if I’d inhaled chemicals. This was my first time dying my hair at home. I have medium brown hair and when longer it has natural highlights. Since I wear it short, the darker colors clash with the gray, so I got this since the box matched my natural color. It definitely covered all gray and was easy to apply (I used bowl and brush instead of squeeze bottle). However, it came out as a copper color highlighting my hair, not simple ash brown. I like the color, though! But it’s just not what was on the box. The other nice thing about this color compared to colors I’ve had at salons is it didn’t irritate my skin at all. I received this product and was eager to trial it. There’s nothing quite like a colour touch up to make you feel a little more refreshed and energised! The product was super easy to use and everything needed was contained in one compact box. I followed the directions with ease and all progressed to plan. The end result was reasonably true to the desired colour although my hair did end up more orange than I had anticipated. I accept this can happen with hair colours because there are so many factors that contribute to the end result. The hair colour did address my primary concern – covering the dreaded greys! The smell was not offensive as can happen with some brands and I liked the fuss free application process. A major benefit is the convenience of doing this at home at a time that suits me and a cost that is budget friendly! I received this hair dye to trial as part of the Beauty Review Crew. I have used this brand of hair dye a few times over the past couple years. In particular, I have used the shade 'Darkest brown' which is the same shade I'm trialing today. The shade has always been is a lovely vibrant colour and the colour result is similar to my natural hair colour. The dye promises to 100% grey hair coverage and it lives up to its promise. Preparing the dye for application is nice and easy. After applying the gloves that are included in the packaging, you pour the colour formula into the bottle of developer before placing the lid back on and shaking the bottle until completely mixed. It's that easy! Then starting at the roots, you evenly apply the dye. The dye goes on smoothly and, surprisingly, the dye scent isn't as strong as other brands. Other brands tend to have a strong chemical smell which makes my eyes water and nose tingle when breathing it in. Clairol have done a great job at producing a hair product with a low scent. One of the best things about Clairol's nice n' easy hair dyes is the short processing times. Unlike other brands that have a processing time of upwards to an hour to reach your desired shade, these dye have an average processing time of just 25 minutes. The short processing time means you can dye your hair during your lunch break, before a night out, or before a date, without it taking up too much of your time. The rinsing process is also quite a smooth and easy process. After applying some warm water, give your hear/head a little massage and then rinse until the water runs clear from all the dye. I have actually used this dye in the past, and can't recommend it enough. The range of colours on offer is wonderful as there is something there for everyone. I have dull brown hair, so usually opt for a warm shade to brighten my colour – I used the Medium Chestnut Brown 5RB. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and after spending 10 mins applying the product as thoroughly as I could, it took a simple 25 minutes to penetrate before washing it out and conditioning. The colour completely covered my greys (which was my main objective), but overall my hair looks so much healthier as it is shiny and the colour has more life to it. My favourite thing about this dye is that the colour brings out the natural highlights I have and it looks really natural. Been using Nice n Easy light brown 6N permanent for about 7-8 years now and was really happy with the natural look it gave and people were so surprised if i ever mentioned that I dyed it! Now though have tried the new version over last couple of months experimenting with 6 and 6.5 and not only do they not cover as well but both have a subtle reddidsh tinge – a give away sign of hair dye! In fact for the first time ever somebody asked if I've been dying my hair as they could see the reddish tint in the light. Not only that the metal tube is difficult to use and you can't always get it all out. I don't get that they are adding conditioners at very step – it goes against the whole nature of dying hair – if you have conditioner on the colour doesn't take – simple as that! Much better to revert to liquid and add a super conditioner for afterwards. a complete disappointment – now have to start from scratch looking for a new brand/colour that will do the job that this used toDancingDonnaDee

I have been using Nice and Easy for almost 30 years… I started dying my hair when I was 26.. Everyone,including my hairdresser told me that the color was so natural, he couldn’t believe it was colored and especially that I did it myself. I used 118, which is now just 5, Medium Brown. The color was so natural and my hair was shiny with beautiful natural looking highlights… Now they changed the formula and the color is awful! I’ve dyed my hair three times since they changed the formula and each time, the new growth comes out with what I call “hot roots”, which means all the new growth is a hot red! I thought it was a rare fluke the first time, but it’s happened two more times..they made the new formula smell nice, but the color is not the same and besides the red roots, the color lost that natural highlight look and instead looks darker and one dimensional and muddy. Used Okay Henna for the first time after purchasing it at TJ MAXX. I have used other henna products but never with such horrible results as with this brand. The color was dark brown but when applied it was jet black. I don't think this is a pure henna product and shouldn't be sold as such. Didn't notice the ingredients until it was too late but looking at them closer it lists indigo and Barium Peroxide. I thought that was the beauty of henna is that it didn't have peroxide. This is very misleading and I would strongly advise against buying this product if you are trying to avoid chemicals. Now I am left wondering how I can get this out of my hair.catherine

First of all, it is really easy to use, so that isn't the problem. I used it for my eyebrows and I needed to use the color black because even the black one isn't dark and deep enough (I have tried dark brown as well, I bought them bot). I do prefer to go to the beauty salon to do it with Henna because that's deeper and darker. But I'm in another country now so i decided to try it myself. I know this is not especially for eyebrows but for the people who were wondering if it's possible for the eyebrows, it is, but it's really subtle. By the way, I used a new toothbrush to get it on my eyebrows and if you want to try it to I would advise this black one (I bought dark brown as well) and leave it on for about 3 hours or 4. Don't wash it off after 1.5 hours, that's what I did the first time and then you don't see anything at all. I am going to give you an honest review. Let me start by saying that if you are looking for your hair to be a nice even color black, forget it. I really couldn't tell that my hair had been dyed it looked the same. The only part that took some of the henna was the gray hair and it turned brown. Now keep in mind not all of the gray hair dyed just some of it. So now I have black, brown, and gray hair. Well, I wear wigs anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter. Did I mention the henna stayed on my hair for 3 hours. Who has time to waste like that. Now for the good part. It produced absolutely no irritation. I felt like it conditioned my hair and scalp. My scalp felt like it was breathing and I am not talking about a menthol tingle. I am talking about pore opening fresh. I also noticed I didn't loose 1 strand of hair so i believe it makes your hair stronger. This product is good for a hair and scalp treatment but not a dye. I would upload a photo but I have alopecia so no. Would I use this product again? Yes, for a scalp and hair treatment only and if I have a spare 3 hours and I do because I am retired.charlene

I really liked how this turned out on my hair. My hair is already pretty dark but my roots grow in pretty fast so this was absolutely needed. It does not have a super strong chemical smell, and left my hair feeling soft: I have problems using color that often damages my curl pattern. This did not! This is my hair immediately after wash. For reference my hair is a medium to light brown with an ash undertone and some gray hairs. Midnight blue is really nice with an undertone of a blue tint but no actual blue to your hair. Jet black is very dark, sharp and glossy looking. Natural black still solid coverage but a softer tone to it. Chestnut brown has a golden almost auburn color to it. Red hot rhythms is stunning when first applied but quickly loses color in less than a week making your hair look very much like a box dye job. Golden blond is true golden warm tone but again you need a professional to lighten your hair first in order for the color to take all the way through your hair. I don't know who has their nose broken, but the conditioner smells absolutely fabulous. Reminds of a salon honestly. obviously when you're dying you need to have a fan going but even that's not a bad smell. Bottom line as with any color going darker than your hair tone is always easy and possible. And going lighter impossible without a bleach or toner to lighten it first before depositing color. I really liked this brand, it was new to me and this is how I feel about it. Now that I’ve went through the process of dying my hair and the color has now been in for a full day. First the packaging was very neat and you knew what you were working with. Once opened everything was in the box with easy to read instructions. I was super excited to see the dye bottle was a twist off top. Usually I have to cut the tip of the dye bottle in the boxes dye that I normally use. The dye mixed after a few hard shakes, but once I poured into my hair I could see that it didn’t mix all the way so had to give a bit more hard shakes to get it to fully mix. The liquid itself was runny, I like my hair dye a bit less runny. The smell of it was not too powering, and once on the head and scalp it did burn a bit while I sat to catch my hair. The washout was nice and not messy. A few rinses and it came out clear. The product came with a very nice sized conditioner, that has left my hair super soft. The conditioner had a very nice smell. It reminded me of tropical fruit. My hair still smells like it, and I work all day. All my hair caught the color and came out great. I would recommend trying this brand if you have it within reach. Go with Excellence. I normally use L’Oréal Excellence but decided to tried something different and tried Preference in same shade I usually use in dark ash brown. Well, Excellence does a better job… Preference faded and washed out from my gray roots. I had to do a double take to make sure I used permanent dye. Well it was! I have partial gray areas I use the dye to cover. I don’t recall having this issue w/ Excellence. If you have gray you’re looking to cover, go with Excellence. More user friendly also since it’s cream based not liquid as well.Target Shopper

I was looking to color my hair auburn which is exactly what this product did. I had medium brown virgin hair with a few grey's. I would suggest to apply the product to the middle and ends of your hair for 15 minutes and only apply to roots for maybe seven minutes. I did get some hot roots in a small patch near the front of my hairline. I will be googling and youtubing how to correct that spot. I would definitely not keep it on my roots for the full 10 minutes the box suggests. There is not alot of multidimension color but there is definitely color change from my medium brown. I think that the product doesn't need to be as strong as it is. I don't know a ton about color, but this company should maybe use a less harsh developer? They are trying to appeal to a large audience, but they are just messing up alot of people haircoloring experience. I read alot of the reviews beforehand so I knew that my hair would go auburn. If someone just picks the box and thinks their hair is gonna have Carmel highlights they are in for a unpleasant surprise.Sarah

I thought the product was magnificent. The one application was enough to cover my entire head from root to end and when my hair is wet it lands on my shoulders and I have naturally curly hair. I have tons of white hair or with some would call grey very heavy in the front. I have been ill and having colored my hair in 6 months. My hair is naturally black but at 55 I want it to go lighter without anything pulling red. The results are absolutely stunning. Again more than enough color cover all my hair from root to end professional disposable gloves that are easy to take on and off, and a great tube of conditioner that can last me for about three applications. My hair is so soft and shiny and the color Blended beautiful with my already black hair considering I had about 4 in of regrowth and another 6 in of black hair it Blended in beautifully.Yvette

It has been a long time since I had done a cap highlight on myself but I was open to switching up my hair color and trying out Revlon’s Color Effects Frost Glow. I used the smaller hook end of the tool because I wanted a subtle highlight. It took a few tries before I got the method down for pulling the hair through the cap. I think it is really important to keep the tool flat to your head with the hook pointed up, to get the best results without pulling at your hair. Because I didn’t want a dramatic change, I planned to only pulled hair through the circled holes and only in the front and crown portions of the cap. I found it much too difficult to pull hair from any farther back on my head, so there was no chance I was going to be able to accomplish an all-over highlight, even if I wanted to. I would recommend having someone help you pull hair through the cap if you are going for a full head of highlights and definitely if you are new to cap highlights. The mixing and coloring process was super easy. The mixture did not smell harsh which was definitely appreciated. I would prefer a better fitting pair of gloves to wear. As you apply the mixture and make sure each strand is saturated, the gloves start to slide off and get in the way. I intended to check my hair after 10 minutes but my timer never went off, so it was 15 minutes before I checked. When I checked it, I panicked because it looked very blonde and brassy compared to my chocolate cherry brown hair color. After rinsing it off and shampooing and conditioning with the included toning shampoo and conditioner, I felt a little bit better about the color. It still looked very light (mostly in front) when I started to dry my hair with my Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer. After styling, other than looking a little more 2000’s chunky highlight at the front of my face than I would have liked, I am very happy with the look! I was actually pleasantly surprised that the color chart on the box was accurate! It would be nice to get a bigger packet of the toning conditioner and shampoo. I have shoulder-length fine hair and used the whole packet. Even putting two of each packet would be beneficial especially to those with long or thick hair. I could possibly see myself using this kit in the future, though I would probably force my husband to help pull hair through the cap. From hook to styling, the whole process took me about 3 1/2 hours. It gets a little chaotic trying to hold a mirror and angle yourself just right to reach all of the holes on the cap. If you’re looking to save yourself a hundred (or more) dollars and you have the time and patience, I would definitely recommend this Revlon Color Effects kit!devon.g

Do you ever get tired of dropping $250+ at the salon for highlights? Especially when your hair grows super fast like mine and you have to go often? I’ll be honest, at 13, I had a very bad experience with box dye (haven’t we all?) and swore off it ever since. Well, with very limited skills and a bit more confidence, I gave this box a try. I figured, “it’s summer. If it goes bad there is always the sun.” To my surprise, It didn’t go bad at all, not even close! I actually have some bomb, salon style highlights! I love that this kit comes with a cap and hook. It took a few tries, but once I got the hang of hooking and pulling the hair through I actually found it quite fun and relaxing. The cap goes on nice and tight and will muffle your hearing while it’s on, so I totally suggest doing this when everyone is in bed and you don’t need to really hear anything for a while. The cap is magical because it really does an amazing job at protecting the rest of your hair. There is literally no way to end up with bleach drips or leopard spots on any other part of your hair. This kit is basically fool proof. I pulled my hair through every single hole of the cap. My husband helped me with the very back, as I didn’t want to miss any hair underneath because I wear my hair up often. He had no problems with the hook either. (Because my hair turned out so well, he now thinks he is a master colorist 🙄) My hair is VERY thick. I was worried that I wouldn’t have enough dye with just 1 box, but to my surprise I had just enough to coat every single strand. The color is very easy to mix. Just empty the contents of a powder packet into a bottle containing liquid and shake vigorously. I really appreciate that I didn’t have to worry about having color on too long in one spot and not long enough in others because it looks goes on at the same time, another reason why the cap is so great. I like the smell of hair bleach and always have. This has that smell, but it is very light and not overpowering. My roots were quite dark, so I left this on for 50 minutes checking every 5. I absolutely did NOT want my hair looking orange (hello flashbacks from teenage years!) I was a bit scared to remove the cap because I felt like it was going to pull my hair out at the roots, but it came off with no issues or hair loss. I really love the purple shampoo and conditioner that was provided in the box. It smelled wonderful and made it very easy to get all the product out. I do comb my conditioner through my hair and I did that with this. My hair didn’t feel dry, crisp or brittle at all. The conditioner had a very nice slip and hydrated very well. I’m incredibly pleased with the results overall. My hair has absolutely zero orange tones to it at all. There are so many baby highlights that my hair doesn’t look streaky, chunky or strange. The strands blend in so well giving my hair an overall natural look. My hair feels super soft and healthy too! I was worried it would get brittle because I left the dye on right up until the max time, but I haven’t had a single issue with my hair falling out, breaking or feeling fried. This kit changed my perception of box dye forever! It was so easy to use (you literally can’t mess this up!), made my hair look great and saved me a ton of money! This truly gives you salon quality results at home! 10/10 would recommend, even if your at home hair skills are lacking, you can do this!gina.r

I have always been a fan of Revlon and I have always utilized this product consistently for many years. I attempted to use the product today and was extremely disappointed that they changed the "hook" that is included in the box. It is not as referenced in the "included" items as it has been reconfigured to now be added on the end of the "mixer" versus as a separate item and seems to be cheaper plastic. It bent the very first time I tried it and only got more flexible after only 3 hair pulls (I have very short hair) and I realized it was not usable. I even tried to fix the hook and make my own "notch" several times with no success so unless you have your own "hook" this kit is not usable. It is extremely frustrating to plan to highlight my hair, get everything set up and then realize I can't use the kit due to changes in quality.Disappointed

I truly love this Blue Curaçao (aka Intense Pure Indigo)! I have…had virgin hair that was strawberry blonde until I dyed it with Garnier Fructise Intense Fiery Red all over. I then decided I wanted some dark highlights. After hours of searching for the perfect color, I found the Blue Curaçao. I had washed my hair twice in the time it took to receive the blue (a total of 7 days). I sectioned the top and sides of my hair to do 4 strips/highlights of the blue. I then pulled the portion underneath (the portion near my neck) and colored all of that with the blue. I left it in for 25 minutes, rinsed it out with cool water until the water was no longer Blue, put on the Mask Treatment (D – included with the Garnier Fructise) and let that sit a couple minutes. I then rinsed it all, used a thermal protectant spray (Aussie Total Miracle) and blow dried my hair. The colors are beautiful together! My hair feels soft and is shiny. I was prepared for this to do nothing to my hair since my hair is nearly black. What I wasn’t prepared for was the horrible difference between my roots and the rest of my hair. Any dye with a lifting (lightening) component will direct you to do your roots last, as the heat of your scalp will cause the dye in this area to process much faster than the rest of your hair. Since the directions specified to start at the roots, I was under the impression this was not something I had to worry about and I followed the directions. This was a mistake. As you can see from the pictures my hair looks like the box for the first inch of roots and then is almost completely unchanged. There isn’t even a gradual change, it just abruptly stops. To be clear, has it been barely noticeable all over, or the root color all over, I would have been happy. I have been dying my hair for 15 years and have never had this problem, because directions should (and usually do) account for the product behaving this way.Lana

This is literally the worst product I've ever used. Not only did it not work. It ruined my hair. It took my light brown unprocessed hair and turned the middle orange and the ends are now the color and consistency of a banana. I've been coloring my own hair for 25 years. My mother has been a cosmotologist for 40 years. I'm no novice when it comes to hair. I normally would never have bought bleach or color for that matter in box form but this was the only thing available to me so I thought i'd give it a shot how bad could it be. I never imagined in a million years that it would DESTROY my hair. I followed the directions on the box. I checked it at 20min it was still super orange at 20 min left it on 10min longer rinsed shampooed and conditioned all in cool water and my hair is literally orange yellow mush!!karebear24

Love this product. My hair is badly damaged due to beach, long time use of hair colours and sunshine. This Makes my hair shiny and soft. It doesn't completely cover grey hair, but sort of colours them slightly lighter so it looks natural. Will continue using this. Excellent product. My only complaint is that I cannot find a supplier in Spain and quite costly getting it shipped hereChrissy

Best hair coloring product on the market. Semipermanent dye gradually fades without stark lines of demarcation. No buildup of permanent product means no crunchy ends. Covers my grey better than permanent; (reason I stopped using permanent dye was color lifted off and left bands of color each time I dyed it). It does tint your hair to this shade. But that's all the good it does. It made my hair very frizzy and brittle and unmanageable. It was very hard to brush my hair after washing it out. Soooo very dry. So very puffy. My hair was in good condition before this too. The color lasted only a week with 2 washes. It doesn't stick for me. I have normal density, fine strain hair. When it does wash out, it has a green hue to it. I would stay far away from this product. There's other a lot more moisturizing and healthy products to deposit color into your hair. Took 3 bottles to cover my whole head. I have shoulder length (when stretched) 4b/4c hair. I feel like less product is coming in the bottles. Buy one more than you think you need. My hair has been previously dyed so the first 2 pictures are more accurate results.Nota_Mermaid

I love the color guide! I used it to help me in choosing the right color for my hair. At least this way I know what to expect my results to be like. I love a good hair color that is designed for women of color! This works great with my skin tone. The nourishing care conditioner is amazing because it can be applied on the skin before you put the hair color so your skin doesn't stain. The conditioner is infused with argan oil and Vitamin E which is great because it has no harm on the skin. I only needed one box for my hair. My hair length is past my shoulder.
