Best Korean Serums For Oily Skin (2025 Update)

I love it alot!! My skin feels smoother after one application and I can't live without it. Been nearly a month now I'm using it and my scars on my cheeks has smoothen out little. But it still made my skin on the drier side so I will need to use a richer moisturizer for it. It lightens up my skin tone too and I don't need much makeup.. it also tighten my skin when I applied it. There is a lightly scent to it but it is not disturbing. It dries up fast too. I always use 9 drops as i like to cover my whole face evenly but it is still not oily on the face. It is a good quality for the price of it. I loved the texture of this serum! My skin absorbs it right away and it doesn’t leave any sticky residue. The scent is also very light and quite pleasant, it fades right away. This serum is the first thing I ever found that keeps my face matte for more than an hour 🙃 honestly it keep my face matte for like 6 hours. I really like the smell too. It has a bit of shimmer in it to give your face a little bit of illumination since it's mattifying your skin but it's not like it makes you Edward Cullen lol. Just a nice little glow. This serum is so fantastic for my combo, slightly oily, acne prone skin. While it does contain denatured alcohol, which is a problem for some individuals, keep in mind that the alcohol listed is the sake portion. I absolutely adore the smell of this entire line; it smells like a freshly cut peach. While the scent is strong when you first apply, it disappears within just a minute or two. This serum is a perfect step to use in any routine. I leaves a very soft, almost velvety or powder like finish that is great as a primer for sunscreen or makeup. It helps to minimize my pores and control my oil. It moisturizes just enough to leave your skin feeling fresh without leaving you oily. I've been wearing this product for 5 hours now and my forehead isn't even starting to show signs of oliness yet. Usually by about 4 hours into my day I am needing to blot my t-zone. This in combination with the matching toner and emulsion has also helped flatten some angry, red, acne spots on my chin caused by a bad reaction to another brand's products. I am actually reviewing all three of the skinfood peach sake products: toner, serum, and emulsion because I have been using all three together. I have had very large pores and extremely oily skin all my life and nothing I did would help relieve this and nothing would keep my makeup on longer than an hour. I have watched countless beauty gurus on youtube and have tried all the products and techniques they have suggested with no success. Nothing would keep my foundation on for no longer than 2 hours tops. By the end of the day I could scrape my foundation off with my finger like icing (I used to use Estee Lauder double wear and now I use Too Faced Born This Way) and my pores could be seen from space. Disgusting. I searched for skincare products that would help with oil and saw good reviews on the skinfood peach sake line. I have been using the serum (toner and emulsion) for nearly a week now but the results I have gotten in that small of a time was worth sharing. I now can go a full 8 hours WITHOUT having to blot, powder, or just redo my makeup! Its soooooo amazing. My foundation looks great when I come home when before I would be in horror at the sight I saw in the mirror. Now I only have a little bit of shine. The serum (and emulsion) are dry to the touch once applied with a slight powdery feel to it, but only slight. Once applied I notice that my pores are less noticeable. However, when I wash everything off at the end of the day, my pores do not really look any smaller. I think this line just does a really good job at blurring and filling the pores and it does a FANTASTIC job at controlling oil production.T-Beans

This is a beautiful and hydrating layer in the routine, but it isn't as moisturizing as I might have expected. I do love it but even though I have combination skin I definitely need to apply a good cream over it, even when I do four or more layers of this. That's to be expected. The consistency is milky and soft, it applies and spreads easily, doesn't pill at all, doesn't irritate, and layers very nicely. The only downside of this is the dropper, the bulb is very small and the tube is large and the product is not very fluid, so you really have to get it out in several goes instead of just one. They could fix this by increasing the size of the bulb. It's not a real problem but something easy to improve.Michael O.

Great bottle size, the dropper is a little tricky to use, but you just got to bring it to the level of the product before you press on it and viola, you’ll get some product. Love the packaging! I've tried a few other PK products and loved all of them, but wasn't sure about this one. I expect serums to be liquid/runny but this one is pretty thick and milky white? The dropper is useless and I'm pretty sure it's too short to even reach the bottom of the tube, and it doesn't pick up or squirt any product. If it does, it shoots it everywhere. I honestly had to just dip it in and use the outside of the dropper to scrape the product off onto my finger and then apply. I'm not sure if it did anything for my skin, but I also didn't use it consistently enough to fairly test it. Like I said, it's more viscous, but it applies more smoothly like a liquid, soI think you could get a lot of coverage with little product.Irene

This serum helped saved my skin. I used to get a lot of hormonal acne on my jawline and sometimes around the hairline(always cleanse the hairline area really well). I’m talking 10-20 pimples ranging from cystic to pesky little bumps 24/7. The pore warrior serum along with daily use of benzoyl peroxide completely changed my skin! It's been touch and go with these booster serums for me, but I love Pacifica as a whole so I wanted to try this one since I have combo skin. I've been mixing 4-6 drops in with my moisturizer in the evening and I definitely think it's helping balance out my skin! I get a really oily t zone and forehead normally and since using this, I don't look like an oil slick a few hours after washing my face. I have tried everything under the sun and came across this at Ulta and decided I had nothing to lose for the price point. I’m 49 and have HUGE pores! Blithe Tundra Chaga Pressed serum. So weird, So Cool!…another Try-it item here on iHerb. When you open the jar, you see this light brown gel-cream stuff. Weird! When you try it you know why it's called pressed serum. It's very dense and almost melts when it contacts the warmth of your skin and begins to dissolve. This gives you more of a liquid effect. It melts right into facial skin leaving the area smooth and moist for hours. This is so enjoyable to use. I originally bought the smaller trial size version, unsure if I could commit to the larger size since the brand was unknown to me. The reviews were convincing enough, but once I depleted the trial size, I HAD to purchase the larger size. This is my new favorite moisturizer and I plan to use it as long as it is available. The price is more than fair for the quality and the size of the jar since a little bit does go a long way. I didn’t have a specific skin concern I needed to address with this, I just wanted something that was gentle enough to use day or night and that could be layered with other serums or oils as needed. I plan to update my review later on if I notice any reduction in fine lines and firming, but as of now, I have not used it long enough to notice. Glad I got this little sample pot. It feels nourishing to my 40yo skin, yet is so beautifully light, doesn't feel 'cheap' or full of junk, and i don't feel nervous about using it on the under eye area. No residue feel from it whatsoever. I don't wear make-up very often but i imagine this would work well as a primer. The sample jar is quite small, but seeing that only a tiny amount of product is needed to cover the entire face and neck i think it will be adequate for a decent trial. I been struggling with getting something that’s good for my skin. I have combo skin and uneven skin tone. Let me say this has helped tremendously with moisturizing my dry areas in just a couple uses. I've suffered from a mild form of hormonal acne for 15 years and I've had both major and minor breakouts which caused hyperpigmentation and (fortunately) very few scars. My skin texture has improved significantly after only one month of use and the red and dark spots are slowly starting to fade out. I break out A LOT less and the small pimples that actually come out look way less inflamed and swollen than before; they usually dry out in 24/36 hours. My skin overall feels more hydrated and softer. I use it both at night and in the morning (when I'm not going out since it can make your skin more sensitive to light) and in addition to C2 and M3. Summary: Used a WHOLE bottle of this serum and my skin looked its best ever! So, Im 30 year old skin of colour person. I have very dry sensitive acne prone dull skin so its very tricky to find a suitable product and NEVER has a product worked well for me. While i was using this serum i had a natural glow, my blemishes all disappeared and texture was a LOT better. Ever since i finished every drop of this serum in the bottle none of my blemish came back! About to buy my second bottle. This is a great and very gentle product. It really does help my combination acne/breakout-prone skin. I especially notice the difference when I have to wear face masks for 12h a day. I apply a few drops (less is more) in the evening every other day followed by a basic moisturiser (I use tretinoin on alternate days) and can really tell the soothing and calming effect it has on my skin, in addition to preventing and/or treating existing breakouts). I also have the 15% azeleic acid serum which is great but found that this one works just as well (you don’t always have to go for higher concentration, lower % can work just fine). Great product and I would really struggle to find an alternative for it that combines all those ingredients and delivers the result this serum does for this price. 10/10Sofia

Texture is tacky but easy to apply. Sit in front of a fan if you feel uncomfortable but you will get used to it after a while. Fine lines around my eyes and crows feet become less visible now. I love this serum. I have horribly dehydrated and dry skin, but I'm also prone to cystic acne when I'm not careful about what I use, as well as frequent smaller breakouts. As far as I can tell, this product is fine for any degree of dry skin, most "normal" skin, and definitely some oily folks out there. It's worth a shot if you're curious. I love the feel of this product. A great serum, works as well for me as other vitamin C products. Heard not everyone feels the same, but hey, all of our faces like different things. It DOES definitely give you a slight warm flush, so if you have super sensitive skin, be cautious. To me, it feels oily when I first put it on, and as it sinks in and dries down, it makes my skin just feel really healthy and soft. I've been able to use it several days in a row without issue, and any time I start getting significant breakouts or any spots that seem like they might scar, I'll go ahead and start using this again. Sometimes I don't even need it and just use it because I love the texture and warm flush. If you're like me, and you hate cold skincare products going on your face, this is a great change of pace. I absolutely LOVE this product, the fun holographic strip is beautiful. Only real concern is if someone does store this in a large amount of light, I don't know how stable the formula is. The SMOOTH Pore Minimizing Serum is a very nice product. It starts with cool packaging. I love the push-down dropper piece. The serum goes on very easily. It's just the right consistency, not too thick, not sticky but not watery or runny either. It has just enough body to flow over the skin nicely giving good, even coverage. When I apply it immediately after cleansing I do experience a slight stinging sensation, nothing uncomfortable but it is noticeable. I have found that if I wait a few minutes after cleansing before I apply SMOOTH Pore Minimizing Serum I don't have the stinging sensation. The serum leaves my skin feeling super soft and velvety and does seem to blur the apperance of my pores some. It also works nicely as a primer helping my foundation smooth evenly and easily across my skin. The Mele Smooth Pore Minimizing Serum works extremely well on my skin. It leaves it dry AND soft around my more oily areas around the nose and forehead. The bottle is interesting as well as it similar to a dropper. You pump the solution and you place the dropper on you face. It typically takes one or two small drops to cover each major area. The application leaves skin soft..not dry or irritated. I wish overall that it did not have a scent. It has a soft men’s cologne type scent which actually more noticeable before you put it on (or my nose just used to it.) The scent makes it a little more difficult to wear a perfume without avoiding mixing two scents. It’s not overpowering but for some with sensitive noses this may be an issue. Follow the directions as this is ness applied in the mornings before any makes up. As far as a makeup setter I do not notice much difference but I don’t wear concealers or powders much to recognize much effects. Sivilce izlerim için geceleri soyucu bir krem kullanıyorum bu yüzden cildim kızardı ve pul pul dökülmeye başladı. Bu serum cildimi çok iyi yatıştırdı ve kızarıklığını hafifletti. Ayrıca ellerim kolonya ve aşırı yıkamaktan kuruyup çatlamıştı ve ne sürsem geçmiyordu. Bu serumu elimin üstünde de kullandım ve mucizeler yarattı. Kuru ve çatlak olan elim kısa sürede düzeldi ve şuan yumuşacık. Yani eğer çok kuruyan, dökülen kızarık bir cildiniz varsa kesinlikle alın. Sivilceye meyilli cildimde asla sivilce de yapmadı. The texture of this serum is unlike anything I've ever tried before. But in a good way! It's sticky, but absorbs beautifully and quickly into the skin. If you've tried some products with snail mucin, it's similar in texture. Left skin silky, plump and hydrated. Great product.Agnieszka Su?kowska

@cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence The Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 cream was my best skincare discovery in 2021. It was so good, I gave it its own daily step in my routine. Then I discovered this Essence!! I used up a mini in no time. Snail secretion filtrate is basically snail slime and this has a whopping 96% of it!! It pairs the mucin with sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid), and arginine (an amino acid), to not only hydrate the skin, but improve texture and tone, too. My dehydrated skin just loves to drink it up. Damaged your skin barrier? No problem – reach for the mucin! It's soothing, healing, it's hydrating. It helps calm inflammation whilst being kind and gentle and is also effective for the care of rossacea. Who still loves a physical exfoliation? Me too! It's tabboo I know because we hear about it causing micro tears in our skin… Bring in the mucin! Snails make this stuff to allow them to roam the land. Their little jelly-like bodies get scratched as they drag them around the rough ground, so they produce their secretions to allow their bodies to repair, thus enabling them to continue to roam – same principle! Take that micro tears, I'll repair you with my mucin!!!! I find it works incredibly well with retinol and definitely reduces irritation that can be caused. In fact snail mucin is such a gentle humenctant, that you can use it with ANY of your actives. It does go on with a slimy texture but it does absorb dry. I can't imagine how amazing it is in conjuction with the 92 Cream as I've just finished mine, but both are amazing in their own right! Lastly Cosrx are a cruelty free brand. The snails are not harmed in the mucin excretion process but snail mucin is an animal by product so it cannot be classed as vegan.@dannersdoesbeauty

The consistency is a little sticky but it absorbs nicely and doesn’t stay sticky on the face. ⚜️ It takes a small while to see a difference, maybe 2-3 weeks. I really wish I started using this earlier, it is that good. The formula is on the thinner side, and spreads very well though it takes a few minutes to fully absorb into the skin and stop being tacky. It's my final step in my fungal acne routine at the moment, following the pyunkang yul calming low PH foaming cleanser, and the cosrx full fit propolis synergy toner. This combo for me was such a game changer, and this product specifically really sped up the healing process. The morning after I apply this my face is smooth, plump, and so beautifully hydrated. It's great at calming redness and smoothing out texture, I can tell a difference when I use it regularly. When it gets colder I like to put a thin layer of the purito deep sea pure water cream over top to lock it all in. My one gripe is I wish it layered well for daily wear, but it just doesn't work well with my spf and pills with all my primers. Oh well, a small price to pay for how perfect the formula is in every other regard. Really lovely and nourishing product, it's easy to see why it's so hyped!Oonie

Another product I’m crushing on 🤩 @innbeautyproject Slushy Serum Moisturizer Crushed Infused with Bakuchoil – Wow, that’s a mouthful! What is it? Serums moisturizers have always had a crush on one another and FINALLY they MEET. This moisturizer/ serum hybrid instantly hydrates skin like a tall glass of water. Bakuchiol is spun at high speeds into a hyaluronic acid serum creating a slushy-like texture. This texture provides skin with the benefits of a serum and a moisturizer, in one. The hyaluronic acid quickly hydrates while bakuchiol helps smooth clarify the look of skin. Why do I like this so much? Because I am a fan of applying a very light level of moisturizer before adding certain actives and this is the perfect answer! Not only does it contain Bakuchoil it also has Hyaluronic Acid and a citrus plant called Yuzu which is rich in antioxidants vitamin C. It’s the serum I’ve been searching for! The slushy part of its name comes from its texture. I personally think ‘drink slushy’ whereas this is more of a very light moisturizer texture. But the name is fun! This gives my face that beautiful dewy glow. It doesn’t pill and plays well with other products. I’ve also mixed this in with foundation and found it works well. Slushy is fragrance free and you can use it both day and night. I recently discovered Bakuchoil is an endangered plant as it is a popular alternative to retinol. I haven’t done any in-depth research into this topic but if true, plan to stop my use of it. EDIT- Please see comments for brands response on how their Bakuchoil is processed. I’ve pinned it to the top. While @innbeautyproject packaging is to be applauded for its sustainability ( I think adorable packaging), it only has one slight downfall as the part where the actual product comes out keeps popping off on me. I found this product by accident. It was a Facebook ad of course. I liked what the website said and I got a gift set of some of their products. This by far is my favorite. The product smooths over your skin like butter. It absorbs quickly and I didn’t have any dryness after application which I so often have happen with moisturizers. This is my new go to moisturizer. I gave 4 stars because there is a scent to it but luckily once it’s rubbed in the fragrance is gone and I’m left with a fresh smooth base to apply makeup on. This would be good anytime moisturizer. One caution is be careful opening the lid. When I first opened the lid the whole top came off. But once it’s snapped back into place it worked fine.melanie .b

This works products lovely as a serum. Don’t be fooled by the small size, since it’s a gel, one or two pumps go a long way. Because I have very dry skin, it doesn’t work as a standalone moisturizer for me—even after I use an essence. My skin always needs cream or oil to finish my routine. However it takes the place of the TWO hydrating serums I used to use before, so it’s still worth the price for me. When I tested it to see if it would work as a moisturizer, my skin was still fairly soft the next day, when usually if I skip my moisturizer my skin is dull and flaky, so there’s no question that it’s super hydrating. I imagine it would work great as a moisturizer for someone with oilier skin!!tayjer

I have a ride or die serum which I adore but am glad I gave this ginseng serum a try! Feel and experience is something I value in skincare products and at first I had doubts, but this serum feels lovely and refreshing going on. It takes a little time to absorb, but once it does, you can feel the nourishment your skin is receiving. The sweet earthy smell is a bit strange at first, but grew on me and reminds me of autumn and maple. No adverse effects or break outs as it seamlessly entered my routine. A huge plus! In addition, my skin feels plumper, and firmer in spots and of course, hydrated. I like something a little lighter for summer, but I am going to keep this in my routine for fall and winter. i absolutely adore this product. its a light serum, yet has the benefit of hydrating. the scent in my opinion is just lovely, like a very deep quality wood and musk. it absorbs very quick, isnt sticky, isnt oily. just very nice. i add a nice night cream on top and it totally seals my night routine. you only need a few drops to cover your whole face. packaging is great, one dropper is more than enough. good for sensitive skin. .iHerb Customer
