Okay so it took me a bit to realize you shouldn’t be using this as the last step of moisturizing unless your skin is very oily. This is meant to provide moisture not retain and keep it in like most moisturizers. Which is fine because the effect when I use it more like a serum is amazing!! Plump and a glass skin like texture that looks hydrated without being oily! It also smells legitimately like a watermelon unlike most artificial scents. I like that it comes in a nice glass bottle and have already purchased again in various sizes after I received it as a gift the first time. I will say it is quite overpriced due to the amount you get and how much you can go through but the product itself is worth it so I took off one star. For context, I've been using this moisturizer all summer. I purchased the mini watermelon moisturizer and have used almost the entire bottle. I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and I had tried different creams and such to bring moisture back to my skin but nothing was really working. I use 1-1.5 pumps of this moisturizer twice daily and it has made a huge difference in my skin texture. Before I had patches of dryness which affected my foundation application but not anymore. Yes it's a gel moisturizer so it's not a heavy moisturizer but it does compliment other products, NO pilling when used with other products and my skin is more glowy now! Love the smell and that its very light weight, almost like a serum. I have oily skin most of the time (sometimes combo) but last year for a short time I suddenly had dry flaky & itchy skin patches and found out I suffered from skin dermatitis. Being sensitive to a lot of ingredients, I started researching skin care products & their list of ingredients to find something more natural and safer for my skin. This hit the mark, so I ordered from Sephora to try it out. This is fantastic that it doesn't make me oilier or feeling greasy on my oily days ( a little drop, 1 to 2 pumps goes a long way). I honestly use it as a serum most of the time for my nighttime routine, as it's so lightweight, I can add a moisturizer over it without getting greasy. I really feel like it gives me a nice brighter & naturally light from within kinda glow to my skin, without feeling like my skin is too dewy/shiny (being that I usually have oily or combo skin, I don't want added shine, so this is just perfect!) and it helps soften my skin too. I can't say it reduces redness though (at first I felt like it did, but not so much anymore, but for the smell, the moisturizing/softness, brightness and glow, I do love this!) As for that dermatitis issue of severe dryness I was having when I started with this product, within a week it went away with this serum! Why I like it: I bought this online, not knowing that it had been reformulated since the website still shows the picture of the old bottle and has the old ingredients list. The old one is called Lipikar Balm AP+ Intense Repair Moisturizing Cream, while the new one is called Lipikar AP+M Triple Repairing Moisturizing Cream, so if you get a bottle that says the latter, it's the new version. I was nervous to try the new one since I had used the old one for a little over a year as both a body lotion and face moisturizer at night for my dry skin and it had worked wonders. It kept my skin moisturized without breaking me out, which is impressive for such a thick moisturizer. New vs. old formula: This new formula is pretty similar, but not quite as good. It takes longer to rub in than the old one, and at first it feels a little stickier, although it doesn't stay sticky for too long. The textures are pretty similar, but this new one feels a little airier or slightly more whipped, and when it comes out of the bottle it doesn't come out as smoothly, like there are lots of air pockets in it, which is a bit of a pain. On the skin though it feels pretty much the same. The main ingredient difference between the two seems to be that the old one had mineral oil while this one doesn't, and this one has ceramides while the old one didn't. You can find the new ingredient list on the La Roche-Posay website since Ulta still shows the old one. Overall thoughts: Overall I still like this moisturizer and will continue using it; I still haven't had any problems with it breaking me out. My initial reaction when using this moisturizing cream was how thick it is. It's incredibly easy to smooth on the skin and you dont need a lot of product to cover your entire body. But something felt odd about it after it started drying down. It felt heavy like my skin was coated. Using it again I finally figured out what was happening. This cream's first ingredient is water. Another ingredient is Shea Butter. These are great ingredients, in winter, because it's for extra dry skin. It's also accepted by the National Eczema Association. During the winter months this is absolutely what my skin needs and I look forward to using it then, when I know my skin will absolutely drink it in and love it. But, right now it's summer in the Midwest and temperatures have been high 90s/ low 100s for several weeks and with the high humidity that comes along with that, it's just too much moisture for my skin to handle. Other than that, this product is amazing. Not only for it's Eczema relieving properties but also because it's suitable for babies and adults. It's also suitable for patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. (Consult your trusted medical professional prior to using.) The bottle is also made from 96% recycled plastic (excluding pump). I have had a hard time finding a good moisturizer for my eczema which mostly affects my face. I was looking for one I can use at night that is super hydrating and this is it. I will say it's probably not something you would want to wear as your daytime moisturizer because it is extremely visible (greasy looking?) and it does feel thick at first but it's extremely worth it. I also am very acne prone and this did my make me break out. I do have a steroid cream prescription that kind of helps but I had some really stubborn spots that wouldn't go away. In addition to my prescription I use the lanolin gold salve on the areas that are really eczema prone. I have been using the lanolin/steroid cream combo for months and while they help I have only been using this moisturizer for about a week and it seems to be the final piece of the puzzle to solve my eczema. Point is you probably won't regret this purchase. I do wish I had the bigger bottle with the pump though because it is a better deal and I think pumps are better than caps.Frank

The most unexpected thing about this cream is it's size. The pot is huge! The price-to-quantity ratio is great. In addition, I really liked the texture of the cream. This is literally the best face moisturizer i have used so far. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. I was looking for a nice moisturizer to use after my retinol/ vitamin C serum application and i found the right one. I put it in the fridge during summer and its so amazing. It can double as a body moisturizer because the tub is very big and lasts for months as long as you store it properly in room temperature. I tried this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. The product I tried out was the Olay Regenerist Whipped Moisturizer SP 25. According to the box, it came with it; it's supposed to not only help moisturize your skin but also help protect it from the sun. My experience with using this product has been pretty great. I have combination skin and tend to have dry spots in random places on my face, but with this moisturizer, they have gotten better. Appearance: Out of the box the moisturizer comes in a cute palm-sized bottle that has a red bottom and a silver lid. The aesthetics are pleasing to the eyes and do make one feel like they are about to use an expensive product. Twisting the lid off the product I found there to be no safety seal, which disappointed me a little because you don't know if the product has been used or not. I took a star off due to this. The consistency and texture of the product are nice and have a whipped feel to them when taken a bit in your hands. It feels rather creamy, not sticky at all. It doesn't leave any residue on your face or leave any oily or sticky sensation. In using this product I like how you don't have to use a lot of it, a little goes a long way, with this moisturizer. I was able to cover both my face and neck with only a single swipe of it. Scent wise there is a very slight scent to it when bringing it up to your face, but that immediately goes away when applied. Now, as far as protecting your skin from the sun I think it does pretty well. In my experience, without applying SPF, every time I go out in the sun and come back in, even if it's for 15 minutes, I have a new freckle. Using this product however, has protected me from this. I probably need a stronger SPF, but this one isn't bad, especially since it's a two-in-one kind of product which is great since it helps save you money, and moisturizes and protects you from the sun. I recommend this product. What I really love about this product is how the jar fits into your palm, it's definitely portable and can hidden in your purse or bag. I tried this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I was excited to try this Olay Regenerist Whip Moisturizer with SPF 25 and to see how well it worked for my aging combination skin. Designed to visibly firm the skin while protecting against Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB rays, this lightweight moisturizer is formulated with Olay's signature Vitamin B3 and Peptide formula. The cream itself is packaged in a vibrant red jar and packed generously with the product. Lightly fragranced, this moisturizer does have a fluffy, whipped type texture which felt immediately soothing and hydrating once applied. It glides onto the skin smoothly and absorbed fairly quickly as well. My skin felt moisturized and supple once the moisturizer sank into my skin. I have used this several times under my makeup while out in the sun and I definitely had a decent amount of sun protection and did not suffer any sunburn or anything during those occasions. I like that it is paraben free, contains no synthetic dyes or phthalates and that it's also dermatologist tested. It was lightweight on my skin and did not leave any greasy or oily residue and my makeup lasted well. Since it does contain sunscreen and is more of a lighter moisturizer, I personally would recommend this more for daytime while using a deeper moisturizer for overnight care. I have always loved Olay products, but the first time I tried the Olay Whip, I definitely was not a fan, there was this pilling effect and it the moisturizer simply formed tiny beads on my skin, which only got worse with makeup on, no matter how long I waited after applying it to doing my makeup. When covid hit and we started having to wear masks, I got crazy clogged pores because my skin would become so dry and my cycle would only make these breakouts worse, that is why I decided to add Olay Regenerist Whip back into my Olay collection. Between the vitamin B3 for hydration and the peptides to help with aging and the fact that I've never had a breakout caused by an Olay product before it was at the top of my list fast as the first to try into my routine. The first thing I noticed about the container was the smooth texture and how easy it was to get a grip on both container and lid for easy opening, the second thing I saw made me squeal, a reusable and very easy to sanitize spill barrier! (earth girl side bar; Sustainable products containers has my heart and soul as well as Olay now. I hope it's as easy to return an empty container as it is to get them in the store!) When I lifted the seal and dipped a finger inside I instantly felt liquid silk just before the wonderful smell hit me, I could not wash my face and put this on fast enough! Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant 24-H Moisture Creme was provided complimentary via Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I have combination skin. Some days oily patches other days dry or in between. So I use the Clinique 3 step system with the daily moisturizer. I replaced my daily moisturizer with this creme and continued following my normal wash in am and pm for a few days and found that the Estée Lauder daywear creme is definitely a light and hydrating creme good for normal, dry, or combination skin. It was not irritating and once applied my skin felt so soft, lasting a couple hours before needing to reapply. I immediately noticed the cucumber fragrance which was calming and relaxing. The creams texture was very creamy and smooth. I am also very happy about the spf 15, that is a must in a daily moisturizer for me. It left no greasy residue and was perfect under my makeup. As for the claims that it will help prevent and reduce signs of aging, I will continue use to see if it works in that regard. I can see it helping to prevent fine lines because it definitely works to keep my skin hydrated and protected from the sun. I would have liked a little more info on the packaging as to weather it is oil free but that is only critique I have for this item. I received this as a complimentary product in exchange for my honest opinion. I am religious about SPF and wear a moisturizer or primer with it every day. I started using this instead of my daily Murad Invisiblur. Let me start out by saying that if you do not like fragrance— this product is not for you. But I found the scent to be refreshing. It has a thick feel out of the jar and a little goes a long way. As thick as it felt coming out of the jar, I was concerned it would feel heavy on the skin or leave me greasy— but I was wrong. It had a lightweight beautiful feel and my liquid makeup looked flawless over it (see screenshot). Day 1 I noticed my skin was softer and that there were less flakies in my makeup (usually around my nose). I did touch my face more often to dee my softness in joy. The only reason I can’t give this a 5 star review is because as a 37 year old, I’m committed to sunscreen and I prefer a SPF30. For this reason, I would use this only in the winter when I tend to be outside less and move to something else in summer. If you’re layering with a SPF 30, then you’d be fine.Rheagoodman
I will start my review by saying that I have combination skin, without obvious rashes. I have been using this cream for about a month paired with Estee Lauder Cooling Anti-Oxidant Moisture Creme and I am just happy! I really love it when a manufacturer pays attention to packaging, does not save on it, and I can say that it is pleasant to take a jar in your hands, it is glass, heavy and beautifully designed. The texture of the cream is very light, has a pleasant fresh smell reminiscent of cucumber, a greenish tint. The skin from it shines literally for the first couple of minutes, then it feels very comfortable. My skin just "eats" it after application. I noticed that if the cream suits me, then the skin absorbs it instantly, so I always try to pay attention to it. After the cream, it is moisturized, nourished, velvety and yes, it smoothes mimic wrinkles a little. To be honest, I don’t really believe in miracles that the cream is able to rejuvenate like a plastic surgeon’s knife)) and so, in the early stages of appearance. So, I am glad that there is SPF 15, for me this is a big plus and I try not to even look at the cream without protection. My skin LOVES this! I'd been eyeing this a long time, but there was an ingredient in here I thought I would be allergic to. I received a deluxe sample with an order (maybe Sephora) and thought OK, I have it ill try it. Not only was I NOT allergic to it, but to my utter shock my skin improved immediately. The redness noticeably faded with one use, I mean I woke up the next morning like 'what happened to my face'. Now, I'm not saying I was fixed, cured, whatever; all I'm saying is I have a lot of redness, and one day it was bad and the next day it was noticeably less bad. So I kept using it. And it kept getting better. I've been using this almost 2 years now, and I'm still amazed this did anything at all. I still have redness, but here's how it changed. I once NEEDED to use green color corrector, because the red would show through full coverage foundation if I didn't. I once NEEDED full coverage foundation to cover the red that was still showing through. I haven't needed either of these for a while now, and all due to this cream. I wear a bit of light concealer, and a light/medium coverage buildable foundation now. It's noticeably improved my skin texture, suppleness, all that stuff too; but what really shocked everyone in my life (and me) was how it so completely changed the redness. My experience on jar size. So that sample I received lasted a LONG time. When I ran out and purchased a full size, I went with the 2 oz jar, which was a better deal over the 1 oz. and I thought I would easily go through it. That was a mistake. This stuff goes a long way. I like a jar that lasts about a year, so I go through it and it doesn't go bad. The 2 oz jar is still going strong but it's just slightly starting to turn; I think I'll make it, but just barely. Next time I'll purchase the 1 oz jar, which should last just around a year. This product is a staple in my household. My fiancé has rosacea and very (VERY) sensitive skin. I’m the type to try a bunch of different products, but he is incredibly cautious and selective with what he’ll use. One day his skin looked very painful and I urged him to try this (I had a sample). The difference it made was drastic and practically immediate. Now it’s the only moisturizer he will use. Yes it’s expensive, but it’s truly in a league of it’s own. That being said, only one of us can afford to use this regularly so I am glad to use less expensive moisturizers so he can use this. If your skin is struggling and you’ve tried everything else, you seriously might want to try this. I’ve also tried the classic crème de la mer but prefer this one – it has a beautiful dewy finish but still offers an incredibly amount of moisture.
Today I am reviewing the prestigious La Mer cream that came in my Sephora Favorites Luxe box. I honestly had no idea how expensive this product was until after I had applied it to my face and was looking it up for more details (the jar doesn’t say much about the product). WOW! Honestly though, I can’t be upset about it. This cream is worth every penny. This is possibly the most soothing facial cream I’ve ever used. The smell is so powdery fresh and just “clean” smelling. The application was like spreading room temperature butter over freshly toasted french bread. Yes, that is the visual I am painting because this thing spread like butter across my skin. The effect was immediate. My skin looked as though it aged in reverse by at least a few years – and looked supple and more “alive” I guess you would say. I could see it nourishing my pores and giving me this sort of baby skin glow that I’m not familiar with from using other products. The sample size I received in my box is extremely generous – I only had to dip my finger in a few times to find adequate coverage for my entire face. I can easily get at least a week’s worth of use out of the remaining product. It has been 20 minutes since I first applied it and my skin is baby soft, almost velvety feeling. I have no idea what “Miracle Broth” is, but it surely lives up to its name as an ingredient in this cream. Algae Extract is the first ingredient in this formula. I used this on my chin/mouth area, which has been a problem area for me in terms of dryness. I am very impressed with the skin barrier renewing properties. With my latest Sephora purchase, one of their "Favorites Collections", included was a jar of Kiehl's Since 1851 Ultra Facial Cream. True to their brand, the cream came in a small all white jar with black lettering and a red stripe. The cream itself is lightweight, white, and fragrance-free. I applied a small amount to my face and it hydrated my skin beautifully without making my skin look or feel greasy. It absorbed quickly and evenly into my skin, and didn't leave it feeling sticky or tacky afterwards. My skin felt SO much softer after I used this cream, it was amazing. My skin looked and felt beautiful after applying it. I have never used any product from this brand and this one sadly is a NO for me. PROS: – It doesn’t leave a white cast. – Hydrating cream, with a nice texture (not too thin, not too thick) – It has glycerin,squalane and hyaluronic acid which are great hydrators. – It smells very good. I like scented formulas although it is not necessary. – Clean at Sephora CONS: – This cream doesn’t work with my skincare. It peels. This is a problem for me because I am not going to stop using my skincare, focused on anti-aging, to use this sunscreen. I would use another one on my face and leave this one for my arms. – It is a chemical sunscreen. I don’t have sensitive skin so I can use it but I can’t apply it around my eyes because it makes me tear up and I want sunscreen on that area because it is the most delicate. – If you apply the recommended amount for any sunscreen to be effective at the advertised SPF (1 teaspoon for the face), your will end up with a greasy looking face. It may have been part of the reason for the sunscreen to peel on me. – It has a lot of silicons, which I suspect are another reason for this cream not to work with my skincare. – It has a couple of essential oils. They give the cream a nice minty citrusy smell that I love but it is not necessary. They may be irritating for some so they should just not add them as they don’t provide any sun protection benefits. – I find it a little pricey. I’m sorry that this is a little long but I want to do this product justice because it’s worth it (and I’m a babbler). I have been struggling with dry, sensitive skin for many years now. My skin is dry year round because I just do not produce very much oil. I have spent so much money on expensive skincare trying to find a moisturizer that will work with no luck. I can’t even use Cerave on my face because something in it irritates me. I had recently purchased one of those Sephora $10 deluxe sample bags and realized this was one of the products included in it so I decided to browse the reviews here and they convinced me to try it. No joke, the very first time I put this on my face the heavens opened up and angels started singing! Well, ok that didn’t happen but you get the picture! Immediately my face felt more hydrated than it has for a good 20 years now. I immediately ordered a bigger jar. Not once has this made my sensitive skin sting, even when applying it after I dermaplane with a surgical 10 blade. The instant and long term effects have been nothing short of amazing. I have not had dry patches on my face at all. That in itself is crazy. It plays well with my tretinoin when others make it pill, It absorbs fast enough to be used morning and night, it works wonders with my moringa oil and I have recently added polyglutamic acid with no problems as well. It could be the squalene in it that my skin has needed all these years, not sure, but I cannot believe I waited this long to try this miracle moisturizer. If you have also struggled with dry skin for a long time, I highly recommend giving this moisturizer a try. The texture itself is wonderfully light and non sticky which makes you wonder how on earth it is so moisturizing but it really is. okay so starting off my skin isnt the best; it used to be worse than it is now but still not amazing. ive had issues with impetigo, eczema, bad acne in the past and overall very sensitive skin. i have to use specific products so i don't have irritation or triggers to these issues. its been around 2 years since they have started to slow down + washing my face twice every day helped quite a bit. i ran into this product and thought it would be good for my hygiene and possibly moisturizing my face,, so i bought it. for the first couple days i used it lightly on my face n it seemed to work okay yet i didn't see much of a difference. honestly, i forgot about it for a couple days therefore i came back to it after a bit. i decided to put a little more on than usual and it BURNED. i wasn't totally sure if it was supposed to do that so i just let myself suffer for a little while(stupidly) and came back to my face red, like almost tomato red. around the middle of my face. its been 2 weeks since this incident and its still red, yet not as severe. do not purchase if you have had past skin issues or current !!! it will do worse for yourself and leave you with redness on your face for a long while.eng
I dug up this picture from 2019 and found several more that I had taken during that time because I recommended this moisturizer to my friends so much. From 2017 to 2019 I only ever used this moisturizer in my skincare routine, and I never regretted it. It was cooling, soothing, absorbed fabulously, and never felt heavy on my skin, which was congested and dehydrated at the time. Since then my skin’s needs have changed and this gel doesn’t aid me in the way it did. My preferred delivery method for hyaluronic acid is now The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%. However, I still confidently recommend this gel to friends and family who could benefit from it, and most who’ve tried it have loved it so much that it is now part of their regular routine. One extremely important thing to note is that any product with hyaluronic acid like this one needs to be applied while the skin is still wet, because the function of hyaluronic acid is to bind to existing water molecules and act as a humectant. In general it’s better not to dry your skin before using any moisturizer in order to allow it to seal in the moisture. Those who dry their skin before moisturizing also tend to use a washcloth or towel to do so, and unless you literally deep clean these cloths right before each use, they will quickly and easily become breeding grounds for bacteria, and also collect dust and other particles that could irritate your skin or clog your pores.raiba.s
This was working decently for me but it is a placebo type of moisturizer. I was also simultaneously using an actual hyaluronic acid serum. All my positive effects were due to the serum. Also I had near constant breakouts when using this. Using the elimination method I removed this and sure enough I have no breakouts now. The product contains dye and fragrance so that is definitely the cause. The cream version doesn’t contain fragrance. Also, I had one very unusual and terrible experience. One time after washing my face after the gym I put this on my face after I had cooled down and this product gave me a chemical burn that took 3-4 days to recover from. I’m sure it was from this product as it was the only thing on my face when the burn occurred. That happened only one time however. I had used this product for months without any burns but still. The fact that this burned my face even once is too much for me. I am now only using hyaluronic serum and mixing it with differin moisturizer and no longer see the purpose of this product in my routine so I will no longer purchase it. I absolutely loved this gel cream, it’s feels very lightweight and comfortable on the skin throughout the day. The formula is gel based that glides smoothly on the skin and sinks in nicely without feeling any stickiness. I have super oily skin on my face, it always bothered me but i never did anything about it, I kept using the same old face cream since high school. I turned 30 recently and the photos of my birthday showed me how oily my skin looked even with make up on, so i decided to look for other options. I thought it was kinda overpriced because it's only 50g but you need very little to cover your face. It smells very nice, it feels fresh, leaves your skin mate but moisturised. As I've gotten older I have realized how difficult it is to find facial products for oily, aging skin. I have struggled with large pores and oily skin since I was 11 years old, and my skin grabs and holds onto everything that touches it. Most moisturizers and sunscreens with result in major breakouts of painful cystic acne spots all over my face. If I use any products that contain any type of oil or other potentially comedogenic (pore clogging) ingredient, my skin suck it up into my pores and refuses to let go for a LONG time. Being an aesthetician, I am fully aware that even oily skin (especially oily skin, actually) needs to be moisturized. Oily skin is the result of an over production of sebum, the skins natural moisturizer. For people with naturally oily skin, whenever the skin senses it lacks an appropriate amount of moisture, it automatically produces an excess amount of sebum in order to provide moisture to the skin. While it seems counter-productive to add moisturizer to already oily skin, the opposite is actual true. By thuroughly washing your face then applying the right type of intensely hydrating moisturizer like Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream with Hyaluronic Acid, it actually help to regulate the oiliness of skin by providing the moisture it needs, eliminating the skin's need to over-produce sebum to provide adequate hydration to the skin. I used simple in my teens but when my skin started getting acne I switched things up and tried different products. While my acne was cleared with the help of a doctor I tried endless moisturisers from well known brands for my combination skin, like La Roche Posay, Eucerin, Cerave, Vichy etc.. Not only did these moisturisers do nothing that this simple one couldn’t do, I got rashes and more breakouts from them. I use this together with the Cerave cleanser, I have combination to oily skin and this moisturiser gives my skin the right amount of moisturise without leaving it feeling oily. It absorbs quickly and is has the perfect amount of hydration. Recommend, this is the only one I use. PS. I've used this moisturiser for quite a few months and was very pleased with it. I used this one in the morning and the rich moisturiser at night. It's not greasy or heavy and absorbs into the skin swiftly, leaving it soft and moisturised. The ingredients are good, especially for sensitive skin as it has no fragrance. It is one of the better cheaper moisturisers as it is affordable and effective, leaving the skin hydrated. Simple is a good brand in general with affordable products which aren't tested on animals. I'm a big fan of the Farmacy brand but this moisturizer was a huge disappointment for me. I was looking for a lightweight moisturizer that was still hydrating and would work well alone or under makeup and after reading reviews, I settled on this one. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. It is indeed lightweight, but it did not give me enough hydration. I do have dry skin but I've used other lightweight moisturizers that offered more hydration. I did not bother testing it out under makeup due to the sheer fact that worn alone, any hydration it did offer seemed to dissipate fairly quickly after application. Overall, while I liked the consistency and even the slight tackiness, my dry skin just wasn't a good fit for this moisturizer. That said, this may work well for other skin types and does live up to the lightweight claims. This is my absolute favorite moisturizer, hands down! I used up the sample I received from my FabFitFun box in 2018 and saved the container so I wouldn't forget one of my favorite moisturizers. Honey Drop has got to be the most underrated Farmacy product. This stuff is incredible! I live in South Florida where the humidity is nuts, and as I'm entering my mid-thirties, my skin has suddenly gotten oilier, so I have been hunting for a perfect daytime moisturizer for a few years now. Kiehls had a great clay one that of course was discontinued not long after I started using it. I found Farmacy about a year later, after trying several light, oil-free moisturizers that just did not do it for me. Honey Drop is the only moisturizer I can wear during the day that is super lightweight, good for my sensitive skin, and doesn't make my face feel greasy (even Daily Greens didn't do it for me). BB customer, since 1993 for makeup, with extra dry and super sensitive skin and I have been a user and fan of the Extra line of skin care since it was introduced umpteen years ago. The original Extra Repair Moisturizing Balm was a favorite for day and night use and like many other customers I was disappointed when it was discontinued. But things change and in particular in cosmetic companies and so 'onward' went I to try to find something comparable in another brand. But it was a 'no go' for my sensitive skin for all of them tried given additives like fragrance. Back to BB I decided to try this one even though my skin can rebel…big time…to SPF depending on formula. And, sadly, that was the case for this. But as 'they' say, it's not you, it's me. (Still I wish manufacturers would leave SPF out of moisturizers.) I did find the right fit for me at BB with some experimentation and help from the local BB rep. I'm using Extra Repair Serum then Extra Face Oil with Extra Repair Moisture Cream as final layer. All good. Having recently spent 3 months in a coma on life support in Intensive Care, , I woke up to find that my skin was extremely dry, flaky and sore. Unsurprising, I may add, after critical illness. Wasn't really sure how to rectify the poor skin condition of my face. Couldn't use the heavier emollients I was using on my body. They were far too heavy and oily for facial use. Being very familiar with Bobbi Brown make up, and loving it, I decided to try this water based cream. Marvellous. Within 2weeks of regular use my facial skin had returned to its lovely pre-illness condition. The cream was so very suitable for effectively moisturising my skin without the weight of heavy oils, whilst also providing a fab base for my foundation. Shall continue using this cream, but I've one simple ask of Bobbi Brown. Please, please provide an option for those of us who find the current size of pot too small. I have rosacea and absolutely every skincare product makes my face bright red NOT Hydrating water fresh cream. This cream leaves my skin hydrated for a long time, skin looking glowing and fresh. I haven't been able to get a hold of a lot of the kbeauty night masks, so I used this as a backup and now I will always have one. I use it on nights when I use chemical exfoliation and it leaves my skin absolutely flawless in the morning. My skin may look like crap the rest of the day with breakouts and bumps etc. But this moisturizer makes my skin literally flawless in the morning. I have combination skin so I was a little nervous that this would cause breakouts, but experienced no such thing. It kept my dry areas well moisturized and feeling very comfortable. It's a great night cream for fall and winter, but because it's silicone free it also works really well as a base for makeup in the colder/drier months. The only thing I don't like about this is the packaging. I don't mind that it's in a jar because it doesn't have actives, but the jar feels very plasticky, so much so that I feel a little guilty buying it, hence not giving it 5 stars. The jar just doesn't seem like it would likely actually be recycled, though of course I wash it out and throw it in the recycling bin and hope for the best. I have read several reviews about people wishing that Clinique would not have stopped manufacturing this product. I am a huge fan of the 100Hour Moisture Surge, BUT, I USE THIS ONE AS WELL, for a layering effect. This one goes on before the Moisture Surge 100Hour product. These are two totally different products and they are totally different out of the jar. The 72 Hour is a cream and it is very good at moisturizing. But, it's not enough moisture for my skin, so I layer and use both night and day now. (I use other products that are not in the Clinique line layered under these two moisturizers.) So, for those of you who think this one is discontinued from Clinique – I'm still able to get it in store and online through Nordstrom. I hope I'm not just getting the last few that are available and it ran out in other markets first. I WOULD MISS THIS ONE TERRIBLY. I really do not think they discontinued this product. I used the Moisture Surge™ Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator for years and absolutely loved it. I'm not sure why they got rid of it, but this one is just not the same. It is thicker and leaves my skin incredibly shiny and oily-looking as soon as it's on and only gets worse as the day goes on. I know it says oil free, but I'm still getting breakouts from it after three weeks of consistent use; I was hoping my skin would get used to it, but that just doesn't seem to be the case. I also tried the Moisture Surge™ 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator before this one, but that really doesn't cut it for these cold and dry winter months, so I was putting that on multiple times a day. Please please bring back the Moisture Surge™ Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator; it was such a good happy medium between these two products.Nicole K
I have been using this Clinique 72-hour Moisture Surge intense hydrator since it came out. In between refills I have tried other hyaluronic acid base products and nothing even comes close. The thing that differentiates the Clinique Moisture Surge and other hyaluronic acid boosters is that there is a tad of silicone that creates a barrier. It gives you slip to put the makeup on but it also seals in that hyaluronic acid so you feel plump and hydrated all day. Living in Arizona where there is absolutely no moisture in the air is extremely drying. But using this product day and night after my serums and before my moisturizers makes the most enormous difference. I am 58 but people constantly comment that I look like I am in my early 30s. The old scent is much heavier and possibly more pleasant but the new one doesn't smell gross like everyone says. It's a light floral smell (think wishful/honeywhip-esque) that dissipates quickly. I like the finish of the newer formula much much better. It's more glass skin and less grease ball like the old one. I don't find any change in the moisturizing aspect of it. I still feel very quenched all day with just a dime sized amount first thing in the morning. It looked fantastic under nars soft matte foundation. And by itself it didn't make me sticky which is a personal pet peeve for me and I won't use creams that stay sticky all day. The poor reviews on here shock me because it's not too different from the original. If you love this cream, i think you'll continue loving the new formula, I'm sure. I recently received the Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream moisturizer complimentary from Laneige to test in exchange for my honest review and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the product. #freeproduct I’ve used the original version of the Water Bank Moisturizer before, which I absolutely love and this new and revamped version is even better. The packaging of this whole entire line is also really stinking cute (you best believe I’m already eyeing other products in this line). It’s a beautiful pastel baby blue colour with pops of pastel dusty pink accents (i.e. the spatula), and it honestly looks so good on my vanity. The cream is quite thick, but I feel not as thick as the original formulation, which I like even better, as I can use it in warmer weather as well and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. The product is scented, but it is quite light and subtle which I personally do not mind. I’ve been using this product regularly everyday in the am and pm after cleansing, toning and a serum and my skin has honestly been feeling and looking very moisturized, hydrated and smooth throughout the day, providing me with deep levels of hydration. Laneige is probably most well known for their deliciously flavored and luxuriously hydrating cult favorite lip sleeping masks. I love what Laneige has done for my lips, so I was certain that whatever they could do for my skin would be just as splendid. This formula claims to be an upgrade from just your average Water Bank, now complete with a new variation of Hyaluronic acid boasting claims of better absorption and a longer lasting effect. This moisturizer also features the skin nourishing and replenishing benefits Squalane and Ceramide. Topped off with Green Tea enzymes, this cream will go to work to enhance your smoothest, softest looking skin. With my chronically dry skin, I was ready to put this product to the test. This cream was much thicker and heavier than I anticipated, and I would say this is probably heavier than its predecessor. Despite its weight, I was impressed by the complete lack of oiliness, stickiness, or greasiness. The claims of fast absorption are spot on. After just a few seconds of blending, the formula vanished into the inner workings of my skin barrier. Things I noticed about this product include improved elasticity and adequate elimination of flakes from my problem areas. The trace this new and improved Water Bank leaves behind is a healthy skin effect, and not the product itself simply sitting as a film on your face. The texture of my skin is so smooth, the discoloration is fading, my pores are smaller, and my big forehead wrinkle between my brows is not as deep. I cannot wait to see what the results are after long-term usage. For the night time cream, I'm really happy with how a little dab will go so far! It's super hydrating. I have been using Needle-less serum for 2 years. I do love how it makes my skin feel, however I do not use it 2x a day so I have not really noticed my fine lines getting any smoother. I have researched and learned that if you use a vitamin C, you should not use this serum, as it has peptides in it. I use vitamin c in the morning so skip the Needle-less serum in the pm. I also use DRMTLGY sunscreens and love them so much. The tinted ones are my favorite! I am now going to try their peptide night cream after seeing many positive reviews.Lisa
This is such a perfect moisturizer. It's versatile and can br used at night or during the day, it can be layered on itself for added hydration when you need it, and it's so gentle and plays nicely with other products. I use it at night but I may use it during the day in winter. It's somehow light enough to absorb completely but makes my skin feel completely hydrating and not wanting for more. I have oily aging skin and this is perfect for me! Definitely repurchasing and will continue to try more products because they've all been amazing so far and great price points.C.

I received this face cream complimentary from #TopBox in exchange for my honest review. I was so happy to receive this product and read that it is fragrance free; which is very important for my sensitive acne prone skin. I received this product when we were having very cold wintery weather here in Toronto Ontario so I was able to put the moisture affect to use. My skin has felt so well hydrated and any dry spots I had were gone after the first use! With continued use every morning, my skin is more glowy and smooth. I haven’t noticed much help in my fine lines but it helps diminish them due to hydration alone. I feel the collagen does it’s work in this product! I didn’t give this cream a 5 star just because I find it a bit heavy for my skin; it’s almost like a creamy-salve type consistency. You don’t need much product to coat your whole face and to feel the instant moisture. I do also prefer a pump for sanitary reasons, but the packaging is pretty in the glass jar, and can be reused for other things in the future. Overall a really great cream which I would recommend to anyone with dryer/aging skin types as well as people who are issuing harsh ingredients like retinols, heavy acne treatments etc. This creates a really nice moisturizing barrier on your skin without breaking you out or causing reactions! I bought this because I felt that my skin needed a little plumping, and this had the word "Collagen" on the jar. It only cost about $10, so I wasn't expecting much; just something to use until I found something better. I'm now on my third pot of this, and have 2 others in the closet because I found them for sale on Amazon at ~$9 a pot. I love this stuff! It makes my skin feel/look amazing. Soft. Plump. Wrinkles? What wrinkles? It has made the skin on my face and neck feel and look so much softer and younger that I've started using at night on my hands before bed. It's super thick, but a little goes a long way (I can go through a jar in a month, but I'm also occassionally using it on my elbows, feet, and hands, in addition to using it nightly on my face and neck). I lightly rub my finger over the cream in the pot to get a tiny bit on my finger. Then I smooth that on some part of my face; repeat until every part has been covered. My first time using this, I made the mistake of scooping some out with my finger, and then having a lot left over after I'd finished with my face and neck. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin. It hasn't clogged my pores, made my skin break out, or irritated my skin in any way. I only use it at night. My normal nightly routine is: hyaluronic acid serum, retinol or vitamin C (alternating days) cream for face and eyes, collagen moisturizer. Sometimes I add something if I have a breakout, use a face mask before, use a toner or rose face spray, or some Bio Oil. If it's late or I'm incredibly exhausted, I just use this cream (even on my eyes). Despite the other things I use, I can tell when I have not used this. It comes in scented or fragrance-free; I've only ordered the scented one, and I don't actually notice much of a scent at all. I have dry skin (and we're in winter here – hello, hot dry air heating 🤬), prone to redness, my pores seem to clog easily, am about to turn 50 so I'm starting to see crow's feet and some wrinkling starting under my eyes. This stuff has made my skin feel soft and well moisturized without irritating it, causing breakouts, or feeling heavy. My nighttime routine kept my skin looking good for the most part, but adding this has really worked wonders! My dry skin is gone, it's plumper and the emerging wrinkles have filled it, and it's just more radiant than it was before. I like to try different potions and creams of all different price ranges, but I keep coming back to this. It's just a really great cream. I figure I've got another 30-40 years left, and am contemplating stockpiling 400-500 jars just in case they stop making it before I stop caring what I look like!
This moisturizer is fantastic! I recently started a new topical acne medication that was drying my skin out to the point that my normal, lightweight, every day moisturizer just was not curing it. Enter Collagen Moisture Filler! This has a rich, thick, creamy consistency and a little goes a long way. Extrenely moisturizing, can feel and see the difference immediately. I like the packaging as well, it is easy to get the product out and has a lovely blue top. Has a faint, clean sort of hand cream smell, not unpleasant or overpowering. I do wish the cream absorbed/ dried a little quicker, but considering the rich quality of it, it is to be expected. I've been using this a couple weeks now and feel that my skin is slightly plumper and definitely more hydrated. I use twice a day, morning and night, and have not experienced any more breakouts than I normally have anyway. I recommend this to anyone looking for a quality cream that won't break the bank. But this little glass tub of cold cream offers only two: to soothe damaged skin and then make it really, really (REALLY) soft. It does both marvellously and much more. Now this is the real deal! A true Iced Tea! But with a flavorful blend of raspberry. Which is perfect as the tartness of the berry against the tea is a pairing that sings! I've been drinking Pure Leaf bottled iced teas for a while now with very little flavor selection in the stores, so I am happy to see some expansion into other flavors by this brand. #Mint is not an easy flavor of Pure Leaf to find locally, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a single serve bottled #tea of it in the refrigerated case in the #Target grocery section as opposed to the checkout lane mini fridges. I was very excited to receive this product that was gifted by Laneige for my honest review. I had heard good things about it and was hoping it would live up to the hype. The first thing I learned with this product was that a little goes a long way. The product was instantly hydrating. As someone with dry skin, this product moisturized my skin and helped it to stay moisturized throughout the day without making me look oily. I used this moisturizer as a base when applying makeup many times and it left my skin hydrated and blended with my makeup very nicely. After application, my face felt very soft and smooth. The only thing I would say negatively is that although this product is recommended for oily skin, it just makes them look even more oily and did not go away through out the day. I’m very surprised at how much is loving this gel moisturizer! I have combo skin and with the weather changing, this product ended up doing a great job at moisturizing enough for both days and also being used as a night cream. It sinks in well and doesn’t leave a heavy tacky feeling that’s noticeable. The only gripe I have is with the design of the jar. I noticed that it twist to open, but doesn’t twist all the way off. It twists about halfway and then you have to pull up on lid to completely remove it. I struggle every now and then, because I forget it doesn’t twist all the way off, which is different from other products, but does take an extra few seconds to remove. Okay so one of my biggest part of my skin care routine is the moisturizer. It is so hard for me to find a product that is good for my skin and doesn’t clog my pores and works all in one. But this right here has snagged me. It has not broke mg skin out or clogged my pores which is huge for me. It also is so lightweight feeling and my skin just drinks this stuff up. It has helped with my dry spots/areas in my face which is a plus because usually I have a heck of a time finding stuff that helps in little time. My skin took a hit this winter so it was nice getting this voxbox in to try out and I am glad I found this product because I absolutely will be buying this when I run out. Now I do want to give this a full month to see if my skin takes to it for good from here on. Sometimes products had done well for me and then boom my skin goes haywire. But usually first couple uses I see things changing and like I said with this so far so good. This is super affordable, clean/vegan ingredients which is amazing especially for this cheap of a price point. I cannot say it enough give this stuff a try. I have combination/ breakout prone skin and this hasn’t caused my skin any irritation or change.samantha.k
This is a great moisturizer. I use it on very dry parts of my face- mostly my nose and forehead. Before using this, my nose was crusty and would flake during the day, but it was also sensitive to some products. I lathered this on my nose for about 3 weeks now and my nose is so much more moisturized and doesn’t get little bumps! It has no smell, which I appreciate since my skin can react to fragrance. There is a lot of product in the bottle-it will last you quite awhile and I still have more than half the bottle left after 3 weeks. I highly recommend giving this a try if you’re looking for a lightweight moisturizer for sensitive skin. The only thing I will say is that I still prefer the Happy Hydration moisturizer cream from elf. If you have dry skin like me, that one is much better to help hydrate the rest of the face. This one is more for sensitive skin, but I still really enjoyed this product along with the rest of the Pure Skin line.maddie13452
I received this as a free sample as part of the elf beauty squad, and I’m very pleasantly surprised! The cream is a little thick, but I only notice this feeling on my upper lip and as soon as it absorbs it’s very comfortable. That said, it takes a while to do so and almost feels like you’re moving the product around rather than it absorbing into your skin at first. You may have to massage (gently!!!) for a bit. I have oily skin so I’m not too fond of the greasy look- think sunscreen- but I love a healthy glow-from-within, moisturized look. This gives exactly that! Not ultra hydrating so I don’t know if I’d suggest it for dry skin, but it has a very nice finish and does not accentuate my pores. It’s almost soft matte. It’s also got niacinamide, which I’m always happy to see in a product! Although I’m not sure how much or how effective it will be for lighting hyperpigmentation. I have acne so my skin can be sensitive from spot treatment from time to time and this product felt like heaven to apply!! I felt no sensitivity as a person who will get tingles from something as simple as sunscreen, moisturizer, or cleanser.janaannie
