I then let it sit for roughly 10-15 minutes then shampoo and condition my hair as usual. It’s made a world of difference. I’m not constantly scratching my head. I received this product for free in exchange of my honest review I use the palmers scalp oil as part of my hair routine. First, I applied the Shampoo, then, I applied the deep conditioner Cocoa butter length retention. After rinsing my hair, I applied generously the leave in conditioner using praying hands and scrunching. Then, I applied the scalp oil, spraying it through my hair and hands and scrunching. I let my hair dry naturally. And I reapply the scalp oil everyday. I love that it smells really good and my hair feels very fresh.

I wanted to give this the true test for my lazy self. I have thin/fine colored treated hair. I typically wash my hair once every 3-5 days. I rarely dry or style my hair. Only been using it about a month, so, don't know yet about regrowth, but I've stopped getting handfuls and brushfuls of hair. Makes it feel fuller, as well. The shampoo is very concentrated, doesn't take a lot, but the conditioner tends to be lacking. Takes a lot of product, and it doesn't feel that "conditioned", but I'm going to keep on track until I find out if there is regrowth or not. This stuff left my hair SO dry that I could barely comb it even after spaying a ton of CHI leave-in-conditioner on it. This product is the bomb! I use it as a hair mask on my ends, I run it through my midlengths to ends and then use the leftover on my hands to smooth over the roots and front hairline. I also use it to smooth my edges for pony tails and high buns. It is greasy but nice to work with. The smell is amazing! I absolutely love using this product on my hair! It makes my hair soft, moisturized, and tangle free. All of the tea tree products have a strong scent so if that bothers you I'd skip this one. A couple of the reviews state this products is expensive and I disagree. Not only is the bottle a good size but it lasts a while. Keracare Natural Textures Butter Cream is a moisturiser not a styling product. I found this product worked best when using a surface free moisturising shampoo and conditioner. I bought this thinking it was more for styling because I heard it gave good definition; this product does give good definition and reduces frizz, however found there was still shrinkage and my hair was still puffy. My hair is thick, but the product didn't stretch the curls at all and was a little heavy. I have used other moisturising products that stretches my curls more, but admittedly it does say it's for moisturising. I have purchased the defining custard for styling but heard this can be crunchy,so will apply the butter cream after. Hopefully the product will work better!Lilly
I don't know what was wrong with this product but it smelled awful. I've purchased this makers product a number of times and the smell wasn't over whelming and it was light with a floral scent. But this product smelled OLD! As if it had been setting on the shelf for a while and whomever needed to get rid of it due to it expiration date. Much like a few other hair lotions that I've tried, I have found that these products are highly ineffective for long, biracial hair. I am half South Asian and half East African, and my hair is part my hips and 3b curls. This product smells quite bad, and the scent does not dissipate as the day goes on. Now I have very long, semi thick hair, that's very coarse. I use shampoo and conditioner regularly but sometimes that's not enough to give me the sleek shine I like, or if I need help defining my waves during a blowout, the OGX Morrigan and Argan oil is wjat I turn to. It's got a very pleased scent to it, and you need only about a Nickle sized amount distributed through the hair to get the desired results. I bought a little bottle maybe about a year ago for roughly $7 and it is still more than halfway full with constant use. I love the shine it gives my hair and I love how effective it is. And the smell is so fragrant and nice! It makes me feel like I've just come out of a spa day. You can find this at most retailers and like I mentioned it's normally under $10. This product is my now go to after I hop out of the shower. Using it on damp hair before a blow dry leaves my hair shiny and smooth all day. It’s given back my dull hair its shine. My hair is bleached so it always feels dry and damaged, even after styling with other heat protectant sprays, but this hair oil has helped maintain my frizz even days after use. I have been using this after the shower for around 4 weeks and am loving it. I’ve gotten a few close friends using it too now as it’s a cheap alternative to the hair oils from the hair care shops. I use a bit over a 50 cent sized amount and have barely made a dint into the product. The ogx argan oil also has a lovely smell that meshes well with my shampoo and conditioner. I can also extend the period of time between washes which is so great as it takes me so long to wash and style my hair. I usually have to wash my hair every three days as it will start getting dry and gets knotty very easily. I can now get around a week before my hair needs a wash. My hair also has been more durable and I have been experiencing way less breakage as well as loosing less hair throughout the day. It’s also become way more easy to brush my hair in the mornings and I’m experiencing much less tangles, I believe this is because my hair is more nourished and healthy so its getting tangled less then with my dry hair with no product. The only negative thing I have noticed is if my hair isn’t damp enough or if i try and use it after straightening my hair it makes my hair look oily and weighed down, this is more user error then a problem with the oil itself. With the negatives aside I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with bleached hair or thicker hair. This oil claims to be a penetrating oil and I whole heartland agree, I have used many oils on the market and most just leave a layer if oil on top (yes even when I apply with towel dried hair) and some are not at all affordable. I have never tried an oil that makes such a difference on my hair and leaves barely any residue, I use a generous amount and my hair still sucks all the oil up. My hair thrives with oil because of how much heat and bleach I use on it, its given my hair so much shine and smoothness back into it. I am extremely happy with how my hair has turned out. Even after bleaching it Last week, I feel like I was able to go blonder then usually as I have been taking care of it and nurturing it with a few new ogx products. I just received it and I love it already! It made my hair really soft, smooth and shiny! Some people complain this is full of chemicals (silicones) that are bad for the hair. The hair is dead and if you want it smooth and shiny, you need to condition it with things like emollients, and some also act as occlusives to seal everything in (such as silicones and argan oil) and they also act as a protective barrier against things like humidity (bye bye frizzy hair). The only problem with silicones is that some are hard to get out the hair, but if you use an appropriate shampoo once in a while (one with sulfates works very well), you will prevent too much build up from happening. But don’t be scared by it, because it’s that build up that protects you hair and makes it look amazing. It won’t damage your hair in the long term, just make sure to use a silicon free shampoo that clarifies the hair once in a while. So yeah, I loved this product. The only downside is the smell. A lot of people love it and I agree that it’s not bad, it’s very fresh and salon-y. But I don’t like my hair smelling hair products too much. It’s not very strong however, so I’m okay about it. I was confused when I received the bottle, and it didn't read "DHT Blocker" on the label. However, the new updated label says "blocker"; the old one (as shown in my photo) doesn't. I'll start off by saying that this could possibly be a 5star product. I'm a 50 year old guy and am fairly active and in average shape. About 6 months ago, I started to really notice my hair thinning on the crown and hairline receding. I decided to take action and started researching various natural approaches. So I came up with a plan with 4 parts. I started taking 20-25 grams of Collagen Daily and supplementing with Biotin and Saw Palmetto. The fourth part of the plan was to try the Shiny Leaf DHT shampoo and conditioner. The great news is that it has had a marked improvement in my hair and has definitely started to regrow hair that I thought was long gone. In fact, my hairline is growing back in where it was in my late 20's and early 30's. I'm truly blown away by the results. The not so great news is that I implemented all 4 parts of my plan at once and so I have no way of knowing which parts made the biggest impact or if it really was the combination of them all that worked so well. At this point, my feeling is that it's working very well and I'm not going to change anything. I will say that my suspicion is that the Collagen is the star component of my 4 part plan because I noticed very quickly (like 1 week or so) that my muscles and joints felt great. Sort of like WD-40 for your knees. Really cool! I do believe this shampoo and conditioner contributed to my overall success but it is a topical application which I'm not sure is as effective as the other 3 parts which were all ingestible.Chris D.
I have received both the DHT shampoo, and Biotin conditioner. These products work very well together. The shampoo leaves my hair looking and feeling very clean and shiny, and my scalp feeling light and uncluttered. I seem to be seeing less hairs in the drain so far and will continue to use and buy the shampoo. Based on description, reduces frizz and flyaways which I’m not sure why any product would want to reduce frizz or flyaways. I say that because that’s the point have natural hair to be free. And, unless you’re trying to control frizz and flyaways in a protective style then yes I can see why. I am a wash and go for a year and don’t mind the frizz and flyaways. The product smells really good thought!!! Even after hair dry, the product can be smelled days after without using any of the other MO products to keep hair moisturized. Based on the 8 fl oz jar🏺I got 2 uses wash/go uses and a little left for a 3rd. I have very dense hair which (when I say dense I mean that you have find my scalp lol) means this size jar is not really enough for my hair. I did not get a tingling feeling using this product and may be that didn’t leave on the required 15-30 minutes. Love this mask! Ok, so it costs slightly more than I would like to spend on a tub of hair mask but it is worth it. Have repurchased already! The texture is more watery than the average mask but this just melts into the hair. I have naturally straight thick (previously coloured) hair and this mask leaves it silky, shiny and soft. There is a slight tingling sensation on the scalp but the directions say it is to be expected and means it’s working – always good to stimulate the scalp for hair growth I guess. There is a scent but I don’t mind it. Highly recommend.

I purchased this recently to soften and nourish my dry 4c hair and I was pleasantly surprised. A little goes a long way and it left my hair feeling rich, moisturised and manageable. Great smell! Thick and moisturizing, without feeling heavy or greasy. However, as much as I would like to praise it further, it’s moisturizing effect lasts only about 24 hours. It doesn’t have a significant amount of alcohol, yet its moisturizing effect wears off. Therefore, it cannot be my “go to” for my winter scalp. I don’t like the idea of having to constantly reapply between washes. It’s great on natural 4C hair, but not moisturizing enough for dry winter scalp.
I bought this on the basis of all the positive reviews. I am so disappointed. I know things don't work for all hair types, but given what this is made from, and all the people with 4C hair who are raving about it, it should surely have worked on my 3A/B type hair, long with two curl types. It does absolutely nothing for my hair. Nothing. I washed my hair and used this and a sister product, and the following morning my hair was as dry as anything. Dryer than if I'd just washed and conditioned. Obviously it must relate to my hair type, as others have raved about it, but I just don't see why. Will stick to Cantu in future. An unfortunate waste of nearly £30 on products that won't get used further.Lea_London

This product is my new favorite for moisturizing my scalp and it smells great! I have natural 4a hair that is typically easy to manage. I originally bought this product because of the reviews and how much it has helped others' hair grow longer and thicker. Little did I know the light oil (yellow bottle) would be the perfect amount I need to keep my hair moisturized. I am on week 2 of using this product and can already notice the amount of moisture my hair has retained and restoration of the damaged ends I do have. I have been applying the oil to my damp scalp after 2 strand twisting my hair. Can't wait to see how much my hair begins to grow due to the restorative features in this oil!hope.s
This oil…When I tell you, my hair grew SO MUCH when I started using it consistently, I honestly could not believe the results. I’ve been trying to properly grow the edges of my hair back and this, along with Jamaican Black Castor Oil have helped a lot. As far as oiling my scalp with this product, for me I got my best results oiling my scalp and massaging it at the same time. As a little girl I had really full, thick hair, but years of relaxers (which I finally realized I never needed😒) definitely didn’t help. Smell is not mt favorite but my hair grew so much using this oil in combination with trims on the new moon , protective styles, and no heat. I noticed a difference using this oil. Before my hair was growing but once I started using the oil along with everything else I was doing I noticed a huge difference overtime (like a month or 2 ). I used it at night. In the daytime you can use the light one and maybe use a few essential oil drops to tone down the smell but honestly if I use the light one in the daytime when I felt that my hair really needed it but other than that will both be ok for day or night it is personal preference as well because alot of people who reviewed it liked the smell. The quality is outstanding. I have sensitive dry skin, also suffer from dermatographia, and my hair is a 3b/3c combination of dry ends and zigzag curls. As you can imagine finding any hair product strong enough to make my curls behave, but not agresive enough to make my scalp itch, was quite difficult until now. Due to my sensitivity, it's not uncommon for my skin to swell and itch because of a product.(which didn't happen with this product! yay!) The mild scent is really nice and natural, which I love because I don't like artificial fragrances. Every time I wash my hair my scalp feels free, if that makes any sense, as in it doesn't feel heavy with product and is able to breathe. You also don't need to use too much product in one wash since the texture is quite thick but spreads easily. After washing the hair is left soft but bouncy, it's easy to de-tangle and smells amazing. Because of my hair structure I tried multiple brands, and while some kinda worked, they required washing my hair every day since the roots would get oily cause of the product overload. With this one tho I could wash my hair once every 3 days(minimum) and that's awesome. It also moisturizes my scalp enough to get rid of the little dandruff I got from a product that irritated my skin. Overall I wholeheartedly recommend this brand !! I bought the whole line: shampoo, conditioner, mask, and curls definer. I use the mask once a week and the conditioner when not using the mask. The first picture is before I tried those product, and the second one is after the first wash. As you can see it looks soft, there's almost no brittle, it's shiny and I finally claimed my curls back! * this is not a cure for dermatographia! My condition is in remission nowadays, thank the universe. If your dermatitis is still active, I suggest consulting a dermatologist and using medically approved and proven relief products. I have been using the Shea Moisture conditioner for approximately two weeks and was provided them by #trywithtopbox as a #freeproduct for my honest review. I have fine, thin, waist length hair that is naturally blonde starting to go grey, that is prone to split ends and I would describe as normal to oily. I don't wash it daily but every 2 to 3 days it's just too much work to do daily. I used the conditioner as directed and found that my hair combed out fairly easily even while still wet which was great as it tends to tangle quite badly when I don't use a good conditioner on it. My hair was soft and shiny and manageable. The container for this feels slightly greasy when I handle it during use even after rinsing them off. The conditioner bottle uses a pump as a dispenser which is great but I couldn't get the original one that came with the bottle to function. I replaced it with one I had but I noticed that the thick conditioner dries and forms a plug that takes several pumps to force out. Overall I would say this was a good product that worked as advertised and if someone was looking to try this I would recommend it, I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me given the frequency with which I wash my hair.MargarethaM

Having extremely long hair, I alternated how I used the conditioner. Roots to ends one day and ends only the next. I am absolutely loving the results. I have 3A/3B Curls and I Bought this becuase I've used the curl refresher before and have been really happy with the results. I used this treatment before going to a salon appointment and the hairdresser's assistant commented how soft my hair was while she was washing it. To be honest, I have NEVER EVER had soft hair! It always has a bit of frizz to it and felt like I had to live with that for the rest of my life. I can honestly say that's not the case anymore. I wanted to love this from all the descriptions on the packaging, and the inclusion of argan oil…. but I didn't read closely enough to see that this product contains alcohol. It completely dried out my hair and made it feel brittle, not soft at all. It left a residue, and made my hair even more difficult to comb through. It helped somewhat with the smaller frizz, but did not leave my hair smooth or shiny. Will be attempting to return it in hopes of finding a better leave-in. Might be OK for some hair types, but because of the alcohol in the ingredients, I kind of doubt it.veepn029
Cantu hair creams are a god sent for me as far as managing my 4C hair is concerned. Nothing has ever moisturized and tamed my strands more than this cream.
