I was very impressed with this shampoo! Not at just the scent but at the power of clarification it has! I have a sensitive scalp so initially this shampoo scared me because of the peppermint and avocado extracts. I shampooed my hair three times in a row with this because I couldn't get over how invigorating the scent was. The avocado oil really shined through and made my hair very soft. I have textured 2c curls and I am very wary when it comes to shampoos about what will and will not work. Also being a cosmetologist I have had my fair share of products to try in the past, this was one of my new favorites. My hair felt soft and shiney after shampooing. I had been using Head and Shoulders and other various dandruff shampoo brands for my dandruff for years and never really found anything that helped much. I tried scalp scrubs, masks, rinses, treatments, etc and tons of home remedies and never found anything very effective. Until I saw a dermatologist on TikTok mention that dandruff is actually caused by a FUNGUS on your scalp 🤢 So gross. Anyway, he suggested trying something with ketoconazole in it and I ran out to Target to try this right away and it was worth every penny of the $14.99 or whatever it was that I paid. 10/10 if you have dandruff problems, try this. I’ve struggled with dandruff for years and have tried EVERY product; Selsun Blue, T/Gel, head and shoulders, home remedies, you name it. Head and Shoulders was really the only thing I found that kept it somewhat at bay and I still only use the condition along with using Nizoral shampoo. I have very thick and curly hair so I don’t wash it often which is why none of the other products worked for me because they would make my hair way too greasy. I have been using Nizoral for about 3 months now and will never use anything else. After only about a week of using it I noticed a drastic change in my scalp, no flakes AT ALL!! This is going to sound very disgusting but at one point many years ago I had dandruff really really bad. At least I thought it was the address. I kept using every single day and your shampoo I could find and it did very little. My skin on my scalp would flake and almost healed to the point of being a lot like cradle cap that little babies have. Finally I was able to see a dermatologist who gave me a prescription shampoo and told me I’d had sebbhoreic dermatitis. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. I am nearly at the bottom of the bottle, so I am ready to comment. This one is not working for me. It is probably due to the texture of my hair – it is a bit past shoulder length, fine/medium hair. Not super fine, but I think you might get the idea. After I apply soap, and gently wash hair, and rinse out – my hair is a matted mess while in the shower. I have to add conditioner, just to be able to rinse the soap out of my hair properly. The two conditioners that I used, that saved me – are both offered by Vitacost: Andalou Naturals Detangling spray and 2Chic Ultra Sleek Conditioner by Giovanni. I love the Andalou spray, so I will try their shampoo. Giving this 2 stars, as this Shikai shampoo, may be ok for super short hair, or hair needing a 'clarifying' shampoo, to remove heavy sports sweat/dirt, gels & other hair products. When I purchased Shikai Shampoo I had hair that was colored. That was about a year and a half ago. Now it's my natural color but this shampoo is still doing a good cleansing job and leaves my hair manageable. This used to be my favorite conditioner WHEN IT HAD AMLA, for fine wavy hair and a difficult scalp and as a reward for my loyalty and others' they changed the AMLA to borage without announcement. I didn't figure it out by label reading, but by the CHANGE IN WHAT IT DID TO MY HAIR – from lovely, fuss-free hair and calm scalp to cruddy scalp like all the others and nothing but bad hair days. My first voxbox and I'm honestly impressed 😍 This shampoo is a 10/10! It smells amazing and on the first use, I felt a major difference. Even if this wasn't sent to me, I wish I knew about it earlier to buy it. My hair is very thin, long and sometimes oily so I find it hard to control but this shampoo keeps it feeling light and fresh after one use. I was able to notice that you didn't need to use much in the shower and that my hair was easier to manage with it in. Usually my hair has a bunch of knots and it is difficult to manage in the shower but it was easier. The shampoo made it feel softer and manageable. First of all, can we just agree that this is the cutest bottle ever? Great color scheme and just a unique design. I digress… let's get to the shampoo. First of all, the scent…woah, it is strong, and the only reason I'm giving the product 4 stars. It's just a little much first thing in the morning. I am so sad. I love this brand. prior to the formula revamp i bought the regular shampoo and the hair conditioner and my hair was so happy! it smelled amazing and my hair was so soft and bouncy all the time. I am not sure why they changed the formula but the new one, I can't wash it out of my hair fully no matter how long i scrub my scalp. I received complimentary from DevaCurl their LOW-POO® DELIGHT Mild Lather Cleanser for Rich Moisture. I love how small and cute the bottle is, easy for traveling. I added this into my hair routine. The cleanser doesn't go on like shampoo. You cleanse from your scrap to your ends. It has a slight smell but not to overpowering and doesn't smell like chemical. I like that you can use it with color treated hair. My curls have lost some definition. I always condition after. But with Devacurl, I noticed after rinsing my hair felt really soft, so I skipped the conditioning. I also noticed how my hair felt less oily and their was less frizz. It really brings out the natural curl in my hair. I prefer using clarifying shampoo and then leaving this on for 15 minutes. My hair feels noticeably soft and healthy. I never knew how curly my hair naturally was until I started using this. I would say I would have identified my hair as 2A before using this mask and a 2C after. I basically look like Taylor Swift on her debut album now. I do think it is expensive but for what it does I am happy with the price for it. I find that I do not use much at all each time I use it so it lasts a long time. I have experienced hair loss with it but nothing that would worry me. I would say normally I would lose 5-10 hairs in the shower but now it is more like 10-15. It isn't anything that I am overly concerned about especially considering how soft and healthy my hair looks now.MrsRichards
This conditioner left my hair silky and soft. It claims to detangle the hair and that’s true. Other than that I didn’t notice anything special about this. I think it does the job for softening and detangling and that’s about it. The other claims I don’t know about. It’s also overpriced for something that’s not special. I can get something cheaper that does the same thing. The reason why it only has 3 stars is because of the smell. It doesn’t smell that good. It reminds me of a more masculine scent. I smell musk or a woody note. I know many people like that and for me, it’s OK. I rather have a more feminine scent for my hair products. So I wound up buying this because I really wanted a better conditioner and have noticed over the years that every salon and every hair dresser I go to uses this in my hair. My hair always feels great after so maybe this was the key. Let me tell you how amazing it is. My hair has never been so soft and shiny. I placed an order months back in early August, when my shipment was delivered I noticed that it was leaking from the bottom of the box. When I opened the cute pink box, there was product (Mongongo Oil Exfoliating Shampoo) all throughout the box saturating the inside and the peanuts. I sifted through the peanuts for the two Mongongo Oil Exfoliating Shampoo bottles to find one 95% empty. One bottle spilled out while in transit for delivery. With what remains in that bottle, there may have been only one wash day. I attached photos taken directly after opening the box. I requested a refund or replacement in mid & late August and again in October, and have not received either. Shame. So I received this shampoo and I must say the scent is magnificent. Nothing I’ve smelt in any other shampoo before and it left my hair and scalp smelling and feeling very light and fresh. I ordered 2 deep conditioners, 2 leave-in milks and 2 shampoos. All arrived in a box filled with cute pink packing peanuts and some pink paper confetti. Though this was very cute and fitting for the brand's color, this did not protect the inventory. My shampoo arrived messy. Somehow the top was pressed down and shampoo was able to leak out of BOTH bottles. I was surprised to see that there neither bottle was SEALED. This is the first time I've purchased some type of shampoo that when I twisted the top off, there was no protective seal… This is concerning because that also affects the period of use for the product. Typically life of product starts after you remove the seal. Without a seal, there's no telling how old or expired this product is. I'll likely never purchase this product again. It was my first time and since there are other products out there, I'll opt for the other brands. I don't even know if I can use this because they were bubbly from the heat…. To preface. I'm a 25 female. Natural light brown hair, bleached low maintenance blonde. Thick wavy frizzy hair that reaches the lower bottom of my back. Prone to split ends and breakage at the bottom of my hair. No extensions. I wanted to add this so people with similar hair types can relate. So to start, I'm so torn on this shampoo… I tried it for 3 weeks and I do like that this shampoo and conditioner cuts down on my overall frizz and made my hair so much smoother and less likely to tangle which is exactly what I was looking for. BUT there is some things about this shampoo I just can't ignore. First off the smell, I just can't get past it. It reminds me of a menthol cigarette. It just smells sooo minty and lingers after washing. Some people may not mind the smell but if my shampoo is going to linger, I'd prefer it to smell like something other than strong mint and almost a tea tree smell. Second, when the conditioner sets for a couple minutes before rinsing out I've noticed that my back and neck where the product has been laying in my hair will get very cold and tingly. Almost like how when you have a breath mint you get the same effect in your mouth but it's on your body this time. This alone made me decide not to repurchase. I like my shower water very warm and I found myself constantly turning the heat up because while the conditioner set I would get extremely cold from the tingly feeling. It can be overwhelming sometimes and linger even after washing the area thoroughly and drying off. I would assume if this was a shampoo and conditioner without the minty smell that I was having an allergic reaction to it but since it has that smell I just really don't know if the tingle is intended or not. And lastly, I've noticed a lot of small breakage at the top of my hair by my scalp. I'm not prone to breakage that high and only notice it after a fresh bleach every once and a while although it is usually very rare for me. I should note that it has been 3 months since my last bleach since I am a low maintenance blonde and I was not using this product during my last bleach. I also take a lot measures to protect my hair that could be the cause of breakage that high. So at this point only thing I've changed is this shampoo and conditioner. I've decided not to finish the rest of the bottle due to concerns about further breakage. This is just my experience. Some people seem to love it but it's a no from me. I hope this helps some people on the fence after reading conflicting reviews. I've switched to Joyco kpac reconstructing shampoo that has also given me the same desirable results so far with a much better smell, no breakage, and most importantly no tingly feeling on by skin.Lexi
I saw the hair loss reviews but if the hair is coming out at the follicle then that is definitely health related not from a shampoo. Shampoo cannot cause hair loss unless maybe a severe reaction to the scalp and there's swelling and for whatever reason the follicle comes out with it but that is highly unlikely. But anyways back to my review lol this is the most hydrating gentle shampoo I've ever used it's perfect! It cleans my hair and makes my scalp feel so refreshed but my hair is detangled and moisturized! And the conditioner is so creamy and moisturizing! The scents for both are so relaxing to me and my hair and scalp are taken care of with this set of shampoo and conditioner. my hair is so soft, shiny and perfectly moisturized. I used the Hydrate shampoo, conditioner, and Color-Fanatic Leave-In spray all together, so my options are based on how these products performed with each other. Hydrate Shampoo: the first thing that I noticed about this shampoo is the smell of it. I personally think it smells slightly like Lavender, but i could be wrong about that. Overall the shampoo lathered well and i can honestly say that my hair felt clean after using it. Hydrate Conditioner: like the shampoo, the first thing i noticed about the conditioner was how it smelled, except the conditioner smelled very minty (which i am not at all complaining about). Since it was minty, it did have a tingly feeling on my scalp that i found to be nice. I left the conditioner on for about 10 minutes instead of 1-2 minutes, but i found that my hair did feel very soft afterwards. After washing my hair I followed up with the leave-in spray, but my boyfriend also tried the shampoo and conditioner and the smell from the conditioner actually stayed in his hair for a few days. Color-Fanatic Leave-In Spray: i used this spray before blow drying my hair. I found that the mist of the spray was actually perfect. I know that isn’t explaining much, but i found it to not be too think and chunky or too thin. I like all the benefits listed on the bottle even though I haven’t fully noticed all of them yet. Overall i can say I really enjoy using these three products together. My hair isn’t normally dry, but I did notice my hair feeling more hydrated and softer after these products. My hair even looked shiny, but not an oily kind of shiny, a shine that made my hair actually look healthy, which I didn’t think was even possible. I totally recommend these products if you’ve been interested in them. The price may be a little high but i found the results to be worth the price.

This became my everyday shampoo for when I wanted a good cleanse, soft strands and volume. I have an oily scalp problem. While it doesn't help delay the oil production, this is able to provide a thorough cleanse, leaving my hair (and the room) with this refreshing orange blossom scent. My most favourite thing about it is that it adds a little Zhoosh to my locks. My hair looks bouncy, with volume and, feels lightweight. It's silicone & sulphate free, and doesn't lather much. The one issue I do have with this is that since the formulation is runny and light, I have to use a considerable amount each time. Before meeting this amazing shampoo, I had been using a drugstore shampoo + conditioner for 6 years which were claiming to be sulfate-free. They changed their ingredients, I ended up with little dandruff, itchiness and hair loss. I made my research and found Briogeo! I read a lot about Briogeo's founder Nancy and hooked by her mission. I decided to give these products a try. I have been using the Blossom and Bloom Ginseng+ Biotin Shampoo + Conditioner + Don't Despair, Repair Hair Oil for about 2 months. My scalp gets oily the second day after washing. So, I wash my hair every other day, or sometimes even skip one more day even if it looks oily. This combination of products gives my thin, wavy(type: 2A) baby soft hair more volume and more shine. My hair now grows stronger and does not feel brittle while brushing. My sensitive scalp does not itch anymore. I must admit that the conditioner makes my hair slightly oily the next day, but I prefer the shiny head to a dry & itchy scalp 🙂
I had high hopes for this shampoo but it’s terrible for oily hair. My hair gets quite oily and dirty and I normally wash it every 3 days, I had never had issues with my other shampoos to cleanse my hair in the past but I did with this shampoo. There was nearly no bubbles even when I rub it in my palms before applying to my hair, and so it’s extremely difficult to clean my hair. The first time I had to use 4 pumps to even get my hair clean! Which is a lot considering how small the bottle is honestly. I haven’t had any noticeable difference either in terms of hair volume or texture, so I’ll strongly suggest that you don’t buy it, and especially DONT if you have oily hair because this shampoo doesn’t even clean it well. The 8oz bottle feels pretty wasteful of plastic. I've been trying to switch to shampoo bars but I've only found one that doesn't make my hair get buildup and look greasy. This stuff, on the other hand is great. It lets me go days between washes without my hair getting oily and gross looking. I've been searching for a product to help my formerly thick hair revert back to its natural state. It has thinned a bit since I started coloring it, and I've been wanting to get it healthy again. I liked it the first two times i used it but subsequent shampoos left my hair dry and make it look thinner. Conditioner did not help. I just don't think it is a quality shampoo. I have found this problem with cheap shampoos. I went back to using Loreal Everpure Volume shampoo. My greasy hair looks bouncy, full and shiny for 4 days before next wash. Con/ suggestion: Please add an inside seal on the tube to prevent leakage during transit. I tried this when the Luxurious Volume range got discontinued (touchably full and the colour care which I used for a decade). It made my hair greasy, lank and flat. I have given it to my daughter who uses it but she says she has to use it twice to get her hair clean. I wonder if JF will start making the Luxurious Volume Touchably Full or Colour Care ever again. I received this No-Poo Original Zero Lather Cleanser for Rich Moisture complimentary from DevaCurl. DevaCurl is the original curly girl friendly brand. I haven't used their products in a while, but I was excited to get to use their "no-poo" again. Imagine my surprise when I realized that after the recent reformulation, this product is no longer curly girl friendly! I am extremely disappointed that they no include isopropyl alcohol in their formulation. The product still smells very good and has the traditional no lather formula that is characteristic of this type of cleanser. But putting a drying alcohol in something that is supposed to be for the driest hair type means I will not be using this product in the future. Very disappointed in DevaCurl.Clgjt13
This product sounded good, it was I might add over priced for a "sample size" but it's a good brand so I thought I'd try it. I cut my hair recently and usually it curls more when shorter so I was looking for a new conditioner. I've seen thick conditioners before but this ridiculously thick even turned upside down banging it on the bathtub wall barely any came out. You shouldn't have to poke your finger in and try to get enough out and that's filled up …what if it was far down. A terrible product contaIner, perhaps it's a good product. I don't know why they are calling this "original" since it is nothing like the original formula. I used No-Poo and other Deva products exclusively for about 10 years and loved the brand. Then a couple of years ago, I noticed that there was a slightly different smell to the No-Poo & the product seemed to go bad after a short while and cause skin irritation for me and my kiddos. I compared labels from some older travel bottles a year or so ago, and the ingredients were the same, so most likely it was just a different formula or fragrance. I stopped using around that time because the irritation was causing my hair to thin. I decided to try No-Poo again after the 2021 re-brand, hoping they had realized their mistake and gone back to the original formula. But instead Deva implemented a totally new coconut based formula, which inflamed my scalp & neck so much that I only used it once. This addition of coconut ingredients appears to be true for other rebranded Deva Products (noticeably One Condition, which I was still using without issue up until the rebrand). If you know you're allergic to coconut-based oils or alcohols or if you have sensitive skin, you may want to skip this one. Also, my condolences to anyone in the former group because coconut-free products (including cetearyl or stearyl alcohol) are extremely hard to find, and if you're also sensitive to Shea or Argan or palm oils, forget it. BEWARE of DevaCurl's ENTIRE LINE!! I have curly/wavy hair. After years of frizz and poor definition, I found DevaCurl when I was in high school. I immediately loved it. I had very little frizz, and my curls had never been so defined. I exclusively used DevaCurl no-poo, conditioner, and various styling cremes for 4 to 5 years before I realized that my hair was not as beautiful as it had been when I started. My hair was increasingly damaged and frizzy, and my curl definition was seriously lacking. That's when I saw online that people had been experiencing serious damage after exclusively using DevaCurl as I had been. I decided to take a break, and low and behold, my hair quality started to improve. I spent a little while experimenting with other products, and everytime I came back to DevaCurl, my hair got worse. It has been YEARS and my hair is still recovering. My curl pattern is extremely inconsistent, and the inside of layers of my hair are EXTREMELY brittle and frizzy. I have no doubt that DevaCurl is the cause. I'm still trying to find the right products to bring my hair back to it's former glory. I have used this as my hair cleanser for years. My hair is much less frizzy than it used to be. I feel like it gets my scalp and hair clean but doesn’t strip the natural oils which is the whole point. If you’ve used a “no poo” method then you do have to get used to it. It doesn’t give that squeaky clean feeling that regular shampoo gives but again that’s the whole point. Once you get used to that you’ll find that your hair is smoother and softer. At first I thought I loved this shampoo/conditioner set. But then I started noticing how DRY my hair was getting and that I was losing about 75% more hair!!! I really do not recommend this product to anyone. Thankfully I have thick hair so losing hair really didn’t effect me, I can’t imagine what it would do to someone with thin/very little hair. It could be devastating! After noticing this I googled the products and as it turns out there are many complaints of this happening and a lawsuit. This shampoo is holy grail. My hair felt better after one use! Hubby bought me the huge shampoo and conditioner I loved it so much! I recommend this to all ladies, especially those who have bleached or dyed hair. It makes my frizzy, wavy hair manageable and soft. It doesn’t have an intense smell, but it does smell good! The shampoo cleanses without stripping, and with this product I can go about a week without washing. I do rotate this with my purple shampoo, and I love that I don’t have to worry about this making my bleached blonde hair brassy in between purple shampoo uses. Although this makes my hair shiny and silky, my hair is falling out excessively when I brush and in the shower. I know you lose up to a 100 strand a day, but I'm losing an unusual amount. Never experienced this. I brushed through my whole head last night and had a whole clump of hair. Took a shower the next morning, then brushed again, and lost another huge handful of hair. It hadn't even been a whole day. It wasn't a gradual fall out of hair. I can only assume it is this shampoo because I don't use any other products on my head, other than its a ten miracle leave in product to detangle, but that never caused unusual fall out. I wanted to love this because it smells really good in the bottle. I used in for the first time and when my hair air dried (I rarely blow dry anymore) it felt heavy, brittle and dry, but my roots were greasy, and my scalp started itching. I thought maybe it was a fluke and I was in a hurry and maybe didn't wash it out well. I used it a second time and really made sure to shampoo everything and rinse well. Same thing. I have experienced a trauma that has caused medical related hair loss too. I bought this shampoo, conditioner & hair tonic. I followed it exactly as indicated for 8wks. I have also been on a medical vitamin regiment. I reordered these 3 products for a second round. There was 1-2 weeks in between 1st & 2nd round. I do not know if these products alone or these products with the vitamin regiment is what is helping, but I can tell an improvement. My hair stylist has confirmed the same. I have been out of the 2nd round for 2-3 weeks. I am now ordering a 3rd round. I have remained on the vitamin regiment. My hair was coming out in handfuls before I started using this. I have only been using this shampoo and conditioner for about a month and I am a believer! I only lose a small (normal) amount of hair when I shower and I don't feel that it's falling out excessively during the day. The reviews are true about this leaving your hair greasy, but after a few weeks of use, my hair has adjusted and is no longer greasy. Take your time really washing your scalp and rinsing, just like your hairdresser would, and you'll be fine. I also switched to a Wet brush made for distributing oil and it has really helped make my hair shiny after using this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is creamy in texture and quite strongly scented like tea tree which I love (but may not be everyone's cup of tea!). It helps clear build-up from my scalp, as promised and doesn't strip my hair color, although I do find it slightly drying – in itself not a problem as the conditioner used straight after balances out the effect. Usually I find it difficult to find an effective shampoo to clear build-up but this one actually does it, and as a bonus I also found it helps keep my scalp clear of the psoriasis that flares up every now and again, possibly due to the Tea tree. With regards to hair fall, I can't say I noticed any difference, but it's possible I just haven't used it long enough. And I don't plan on using it for much longer either because the issue with this shampoo is that whether I use it once, twice or three times per wash, my hair is left feeling/looking greasy and very flat. And no matter how I use it or the duration or frequency of usage, nothing makes a difference. This cleanser was a game changer for me! I was in the market for a new cleanser as I have just begun transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. My hair gets dry very easily, so I needed something that wouldn't strip my hair of all of its moisture. Many sulfate-free shampoos still leave my hair feeling too dry-I've tried co-washing my hair as an alternative, but I find that co-washing doesn't get my hair as clean as I want it to be. This product is everything I've been looking for! It's not a co-wash-it's an actual cleanser-and the zero lather formula doesn't strip my hair! This product leaves my hair feeling SUPER clean and light, but soft and manageable at the same time. I wish it were less expensive, but since I haven't found anything that works as well, I will continue to purchase!Dani
I unfortunately have experienced issues with this product causing increased buildup because it was not totally getting my hair and scalp completely clean, it began to make my scalp itch a lot, and it doesn’t help with moisture try’s going or increasing the health of ones hair at all. It also has a weird smell to it that definitely I feel is too strong, just like most of the products in the DevaCurl. I have switched to exclusively using non-sulfate shampoo on my hair and do not recommend getting caught up in spending lots of money on DevaCurl products and then having nothing positive to show for it, in the end at all. I truly regret giving this company more than one chance with my hair, because they truly do not deserve it. Their products really ended up taking a toll on my hair and scalp, and I would much rather that people be safe than sorry. Please stay away from this line, if you don’t want to see not only your money going down the drain, but more and more of your hair too.sybil.w
So, I thought the first time I used it, it did not perform as advertised with my curls (I have Wavy/Medium Curls) and I thought it was because I had just left coconut oil in my hair for about 3 days. But when I used it the second time, it did the same thing, which many of you are saying; it left my hair looking very dry and frizz all over. It almost looks like over processed burnt hair. Normally my curls are very shinny and bouncy. I don't know about the reviewer that said, she watch a video on how to use; this is not rocket science is Shampoo or No Poo and Condish, she also recommended buying a cream to compliment, wait… I already spent $50 and now I have to buy a cream to make it do what it is supposed to do??? Nah! It does not really smell like anything and I do think like others, I got a used set. Update 4/18/18 – My apologies; there is a science to using this shampoo and conditioner. First your hair has to get used to it, or get rid of all other build up before it works. You must apply, and scrunch as it is on, then do the same with the conditioner, finger brushing the hair with head upside down, then rinse with coldest water you can stand. Never rinse curly hair with Warm or hot water unless you like the Puff Frizz head look. :)- I think it is still too heavy for my hair type and it leaves it a bit weigh down. I rinse and rinse but still not as bouncy as I would like. It does leave my hair very soft and moisturize. It may be best for really curly hair, not wavy/curly like mine. I have gotten better results with the Redkken No Frizz set, I also buy it here on Home Essentials Direct!S.

I wanted to love this, I really did. However, I have tried to use it multiple times, only to have flaky dandruff yet oily roots as soon as my hair begins to dry. I’ve tried multiple methods (scrub in, rinse out—let it soak—wash it out immediately—use a little—use a lot) but no matter what, the results are the still the same. And on top of that, I find it leaves my hair straw like and just…not my normal silky hair. I’ve tried it with the conditioner and without—it doesnt matter. It didn’t even make natural wavy hair any more wavy or define the pattern—instead I find it actually removed the pattern more than anything. EDIT—oh yeh! I forgot to add: while it has no lather and is supposed to be weight-less, I found it was nearly impossible to rinse out. It feels slippery and oily. I thoroughly rinse my hair and spend even longer rinsing it while using this shampoo and yet it still feels like I didn’t get it all. So yeh. Sorry, y’all, but this one isn’t the one.robyn.p
I have used this as my hair cleanser for years. My hair is much less frizzy than it used to be. I feel like it gets my scalp and hair clean but doesn’t strip the natural oils which is the whole point. If you’ve used a “no poo” method then you do have to get used to it. It doesn’t give that squeaky clean feeling that regular shampoo gives but again that’s the whole point. Once you get used to that you’ll find that your hair is smoother and softer. It has a light pleasant smell. I’ve never experienced any problems with this line.su.b
At first I thought I loved this shampoo/conditioner set. But then I started noticing how DRY my hair was getting and that I was losing about 75% more hair!!! I really do not recommend this product to anyone. Thankfully I have thick hair so losing hair really didn’t effect me, I can’t imagine what it would do to someone with thin/very little hair. It could be devastating! After noticing this I googled the products and as it turns out there are many complaints of this happening and a lawsuit. They were supposed to have changed their formula but I don’t believe that they didcheyenne.h

Great and easy to use if you are in a hurry without having to put water on your hair. Just pour some on and towel dry and you are DONE!!!!! Couldn't ask for better. Plus it has very little smell which I like since I am allergic to perfumes!!!!! It is just all around a great and easy product to use and gets you hair fresh and clean smelling like you just washed it.
