I got this to trial from Chick Advisor. Ordinarily I'm a soap, water and wet wipe kindda gal when it comes to removing my make up. Which, in the end, inevitably ends up mainly on my bathroom towel!. I use make up everyday, but my usual routine leaves my face quite dry . This stuff actually removed my lip colour stain which I can only get off using micellar water or similar, but this product magically made every trace of my make up disappear, first time. I found you only need a pea sized amount to fully cleanse your face and it left my face feeling super soft and clean. I will definately buy this product. I really like this cleanser for my morning face wash because it leaves my skin very soft and feeling moisturized. In the evening however, I do have to wash twice with it to get almost all of my tinted waterproof sunscreen and non waterproof mascara off. I follow with my regular cleanser to remove the trace amounts left. I will continue using it because I love using it in the morning and although I have to follow with my regular cleanser at night, my skin does feel more clean and moisturized than it did before using my regular cleanser twice. The Curel cleanser is gentle and did not strip my skin. My skin is very dry, sensitive and prone to breakouts and this cleanser did not break me out at all, which is a big deal for me as most other cleansers do clog my pores and cause me to break out. The Curel Makeup Cleansing oil is perfect for my skin to easily remove makeup and any residue on my skin without any irritations. The cleansing oil spreads evenly on my face and I just gently massage my face in a circular motion to remove the foundation, mascara, and eyeliner off. I just use my fingertips and palm to massage my face and I can see the makeup melting off easily. I did apply water and it turns into a milky white soft texture. This does not bubble up and I use a regular face wash to remove the oil. I didn't feel like this cleansing oil was greasy or hard to remove at all. I enjoyed how cleaner my face feels after using it. I switched to this cleansing oil since it has less pore-clogging oils in it than the DHC one & I was seeing some increased congestion using DHC. This oil removes my super waterproof mascara well. Also, I can tell just by a few uses that it has lighter oils in it, but I canāt speak for decreased congestion. So, it checks all the boxes EXCEPT THE FRAGRANCE. Why! First of all, unnecessary ingredient. Secondly, I have semi-sensitive skin, so hopefully I donāt see negative effects from this long term. Thirdly, rose is the worst smell ever in my opinion. Please remove the fragrance and I will repurchase & recommend to others. Otherwise, once I finish the product I will find another cleansing oil to try.Kristen
For the longest time I was forever faithful to my Clinique Take The Day Off: Cleansing Balm for the start of my double cleanse. I loved everything about it, minus the price. $45CDN every month or so was just becoming a bit too much. Enter Amazon. I saw this being advertised on my Amazon front page for $8CDN. I read up on the reviews and figured, for $8 you canāt lose! I have used this for over a month now and I am just hitting the half-way mark. Itās a runny oil but a one/two pumps will suffice. It removes every single trace of makeup. Even stubborn waterproof mascara. I donāt need to scrub hard and after about 30 seconds of working the oil in, I rinse. All eye makeup is gone and even my stubborn red lipstick has vanished. Once my face has been rinsed clean (which is a breeze), I follow with my normal cleanser. Now for those sensitive to scents, this is pretty heavy on the floral side. It does have Rosehip fragrance. I quite like the scent and think itās quite pretty. However if you donāt like scents, give this a pass. I have very sensitive, acne prone skin. This oil does not break me out or cause any irritations. My eyes also never seem to react! If you are looking for a bargain that does the job, give this bad boy a go! Iām sure youāll love it!courtney.k
Love, love this cleansing oil, love the way my skin feels, love the great ingredients, love the great price. I love everything about it except for the fragrance. I always think when I see fragrance in a face product "would I put perfume on my face" and the answer is no, so usually I try to avoid it. But the reviews and positives for this cleansing oil were so overwhelmingly good, that I just had to try it and I was not disappointed. With much regret, due to the fact that I will not use a product with fragrance for an extended period of time, I will not be purchasing this again unless a fragrance free version becomes available (hint to Palmer's). I implore more companies to include more fragrance free options for their face products especially great products like this one. Even though I will be discontinuing my use of this, I would still recommend it to someone who does not have a problem with fragrance. I have oily, congested skin prone to closed comedones…and this cleanser works wonders for it. I've tried other oil cleansers before, but for some unknown reason none of them have worked like this one against sebum plugs: I gently massage this on my skin for a few minutes and I can actually feel those hard little sebum plugs popping out. I know it's gross (but if you have this skin type you'll relate), but after a few minutes, it feels like I'm using an exfoliating cleanser full of beads because so much junk is coming out of my skin. This is my first oil cleanser and I'm very satisfied . It's the most product that made a huge difference to my skin. I initially bought it to help with my sebaceous filaments which it didn't but it still exceeded my expectations!!! It's not for sebaceous filaments imo (and I am not mad because Klairs never promised that it is). I have oily acne-prone skin that is prone to clogging and was considering how a cleansing oil would fit into my routine. Since I am against fragrance and wanted to try an expensive product I chose this one. The oil is gentle on the skin, I use two pumps, it spreads fine. I don't use it every night because I think that is too frequent and therefore takes a toll on the skin barrier. Every other night is ok. The Pure Cleansing Oil, which is described as a gentle and effective skin cleansing oil that utilizes natural ingredients. Itās deep skin cleansing and nourishing, soothing and hydrating. This product comes in a tall plastic bottle with a pump and it contains 200 ml (6.76 oz) and has a mixed essential oil scent. The oil is clear, as you can see towards the top of my hand in the picture and Iām removing some liquid lipstick. I massaged it onto my hand with no water. After water is added it becomes a milky color. It didnāt quite get everything off, the one lipstick stained a bit. After rinsing off the makeup, it came off quite easily for the most part and it was very gentle and my skin felt and looked very clean. Recommended use is to gently massage your dry face with the appropriate amount of oil, rinse with warm water and then finish with cold water. Itās suggested to double cleanse in the evening by following up the oil with a cleansing foam. After using, I found this oil to be very gentle and it has quite a strong scent of the different oils in the ingredients. Itās mostly made up of very natural oils and extracts and I didnāt notice any irritation and found this to work without lots of scrubbing. My skin feels smooth after using it and it really removes makeup and sunscreen very well. It takes about 2-3 pumps to cover my face and properly remove everything and itās also not irritating to my eyes when removing eye makeup. I can recommend this to anyone regardless of skin type. What I like: I love the ingredients and how natural they are, I found it to be a great mix and it didnāt irritate my skin. There are so many oils in this product that are superb for your skin that it should be no surprise at how comfortable and clean skin feels after washing with it. To me, cleansing oils are better for makeup removal because I don't feel much friction with the skin when I rub to remove mascara/eyeliner. One of the best oil cleansers I've tried. I have dry, sensitive skin and I really love this oil cleanser. The DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is an OG Japanese oil cleanser that gently removes makeup and sunscreen without stripping your skin. It is olive oil based with rosemary extract and vitamin E. The olive oil is full of natural antioxidants and in combination with the vitamin E, they soften and hydrate the skin. It is a dark golden oil upon first appearance. It has a strong olive oil smell which I didn't love but the scent doesn't linger after emulsifying and being washed away. It becomes milky and is easy to wash off skin without rubbing. I use it as my first cleansing step in my PM routine. I use one pump for my face and neck and massage it onto my dry skin for 30 seconds before rinsing my hands and emulsifying the cleanser on my face. It becomes super soft and silky and leaves my skin feeling as soft and silky! If I'm double cleansing, I follow up with a water-based cleanser but on days when I work from home, I use this as my standalone cleanser for the PM. I have no qualms about this product. It removes my makeup just fine including stubborn waterproof mascara without rubbing and losing any eyelashes. It also makes me feel secure after wearing and reapplying sunscreen that every bit of sunscreen is off by the end of my PM routine. For a basic oil cleanser, this is HG!

I have used this for years and found out in 2019 it had been discontinued. That year I was in the Middle East and Asia but could not track any down. I was fortunate to have a few spare but did go through a 6 month period without and was forced to try alternatives, both BB and other brands. Nothing compared. Last year I saw it was available on BB's website and ordered a few but when I went back into reorder, it was out of stock !!! It takes time to get used to the weird, herb smell but only a second to fall in love with the oil. I have quite oily skin but my skin chapped after exfoliating in winter. Nothing helped until I found this oil. Only two times of makeup removing with it, I got back my healthy look and even better balanced skin. I have tried dozens of oil cleaners and this is the BEST. Years ago I got a travel size as a gift with purchase and truly so impressed. I don't understand why this product doesn't get more hype?!?!? Well… if it cost less I would buy it way more often. This is an oil cleanser that feels like it rinses off with just water and doesn't need a second face wash to get rid of residue. This is my first ever review for Ulta of a product, but I love this cleanser so much that I wanted to share! This truly does dissolve all of my makeup and it rinses easily. About me: I'm in my very early 30s, no acne (but the occasional little bump shows up), very fair skin. I don't wear heavy makeup; usually I wear a tinted moisturizer, blush stain, setting powder, powder eyeshadow, and waterproof eyeliner pencil and waterproof mascara. I have sensitive/dry skin and am prone to redness on my cheeks and nose, so I don't like to have to scrub and scrub to get makeup to come off. I follow the directions, massaging the oil on my dry face, concentrating on areas where makeup often sticks-next to my nose, around my lips, and my eyes and eyebrows. Then, I wet my hands with warm water and massage my face for another 30 seconds or so. When I rinse, absolutely everything comes off. Afterward, my skin doesn't feel tight and stripped the way it always has after using other cleansers, but it doesn't feel greasy or oily at all. The main reason I love this oil is because it gently but effectively removes my eye makeup, and I don't have to worry about tugging or scrubbing at an area where I'm trying to avoid irritation and wrinkles. I used to wash my face and have a little bit of makeup left around my eyelashes, but I'd have to choose between scrubbing really hard or just thinking "good enough" and leaving what was left. I also always had tons of black and brown goop in my eyes for an hour or so after washing my face. This cleanser is different! The Boscia cleansing oil takes off all of my waterproof eyeliner (I use Stila gel pencil) and waterproof mascara without having to scrub at the area with a washcloth, which inevitably leads to eyelashes breaking or being pulled out. And every last bit of my eye makeup is GONE-none of the little bits of residue at the base of my lashes that usually are left, and NO goop in my eyes afterward. This is an overlooked product. I have used it for years and continue to buy it…I'm just hoping they don't discontinue it because it is so overlooked. It takes any makeup off gently without leaving a film; I just apply the product and add water and it turns into a milky cleanser with the plus of being oil based to get all the makeup off with ease, including mascara. Sometimes I get one and the pump doesn't work correctly but it's still useable, and other times it works as it should…so it's hit or miss…but the product itself is great. The liquid gold cleansing oil had been sold out for a while . When I finally received it in the mail I was so excited. I use it with my small oval scrub brush, wet the scrub brush, squeeze a dime size amount on it and gently scrub entire face and neck. Then rinse with warm water and dry with a clean towel. I bought this by mistake thinking it was from the cosrx line and was pleasantly surprised! I have oily, sensitive, acne prone skin and this product doesn't break me out, leaves no residue, no scent and has a beautiful consistency for massage and whitehead removal. A real workhorse, very effective cleanser and good enough to use without double cleanse on occasion. This one's a gem and underrated. Great price, definitely repurchase and way better than cleansing balms. I'd give it a 6 star if I could.

At first I thought this product was gonna be a more milky texture, but no it's balmy. The problem is it's not balmy in the way other oil cleansers are balmy (100% don't recommend if you're not getting it explicitly as an oil cleanser) this is a thick boy. You rub it into your face but it's so dense you have to apply much more pressure than you would for other oil cleansers. Then there comes the wash off, I could forgive it if it had a good one but no. The way it emulsifies is so immediate that if one drop of water touches it it breaks down immediately. Worst of all it leaves the skin feeling unclean. I've had balm cleansers that leave to skin feeling silky and moisturized, this ain't it. It definitely leaves a light layer of residue. And that makes it be something you have to double cleanse with.Shanika
If you're looking for an oil cleanser that gently exfoliates the way it's supposed to, do not get this product. First of all, it's not an oil. Maybe it's oil based, but it's consistency is a gel. And most of it is wasted in its "milk" form when it runs down your wrists. So you have to use a lot more than you'd have to with a real oil cleanser just to get it on your face. Second of all, as it is not an oil, it does not exfoliate like it's supposed to. Oil cleansers are wonderful because if you massage them into your face it physically pulls the crud out of your pores-you can literally feel it gathering on your fingers-without stripping or aggrevating the skin. Because of this product's consistency, it can't do that. Believe me, I've tried. I massage my face just like I do with oil cleanser and it does absolutely nothing except run down my arms and leave residue on my skin. I have combination to oily skin that gets very congested very quickly and usually the right oil cleanser is the best thing ever for my skin. I really wanted this to work. I used the entire bottle and tried so many things to get it to work. But now I have the worst breakout that I've had since I was a teenager. This product is horrible and the only way that I could conceive of it having good reviews is that it's somehow helpful for dry skin. The type of oils used are supposed to be ideal for combination-oily which is why I bought it in the first place. But for me it was worse than a waste of money. And even if it were effective, using it is such a messy and unpleasant experience that I still wouldn't buy it again.Libby
I have sensitive combination skin and my skin can become flaky and dry in spots and overly oily and prone to break outs in others. Im so careful with my products because when one product does the trick for one area of my face it disrupts and irritates the other. There's never been many products that work for my entire face. And THIS IS IT!! It's a bit weird to get used to with the texture and the smell is a bit weird? but I don't even notice it now and the results I've had trump anything negative I could ever say. It's calming and protects my skin barrier. It tackles my oily and acne prone areas while soothing and moisturizing the dry. It also melts makeup??? Very nice cleanser that doesn't contain mineral oil. This was a recommendation from an Ulta Associate. I asked for a more hydrating first oil cleanse to remove makeup and sunscreen that didn't contain mineral oil. I was having trouble with the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm because it was making my skin itchy and drying my skin when used everyday. This is a wonderful hydrating oil cleanser. I initially bought this as a first cleanse, but it is so nice that sometimes I'll use only it in the mornings when I don't need to remove makeup or sunscreen. This does leave moisture behind and given the ingredients a boost to your skin. If you want a squeaky clean feel then this isn't for you. If you double cleanse then this is fine as well. Yes more pricey, but unexpectedly this is my second purchase of this cleanser. I also use the Burt's Bees oil cleanser to ease my cleanser cost, but it's not nearly as nice in my opinion. I decided to give this product a try because I've had the joy of developing adult acne and have tried everything under the sun – including prescription products – to no avail. I wanted to try the oil cleansing method in an attempt to heal my skin but I was iffy about making my own blend because of some of the horror stories I've read online so I decided to go with a pre-made oil cleanser. I chose this one because it's not just oils – there are other active ingredients that have various skin clearing and smoothing properties. I'm also familiar with the Juice Beauty brand because I used their Green Apple Peel for years and had great results with that. I'm very happy with this cleanser so far. It moisturizes my skin and leaves it feeling soft and clean without an oily film. My skin drinks it up and I can still apply my normal daily/nightly moisturizers and such without my face feeling like an oil slick. It takes all of my makeup off like a champ when I use it at night – I don't have to use a makeup remover and when I follow up with toner the cotton ball doesn't have any traces of makeup on it. My acne is definitely starting to calm down – I haven't been using it long enough to say it's completely cleared up my face but I can tell it's trending in that direction. The one area of cystic acne on my jawline is visibly smaller, I've had no new breakouts since starting this cleanser and those that haven't completely disappeared are smaller and much less angry looking. I'm also blessed with hyperpigmentation (redness/splotchy skin) following any breakouts – after using this product for about 2-3 weeks now that's already almost gone. My skin was recently reacting to all products and I was unable to use any cleansers or moisturizers without breaking out or hives. I also had super dry skin on my face and many red dry spots as a result. I went to Ulta and asked the consultant for a product line that was really pure with minimal additives. I was referred to the consultants from Juice Beauty who happened to be having an event promo at the front. Now I am normally not into being sold products or these types of sell you everything events. I didn't believe in it at first but I was desperate so I allowed the consultant to use the cleansing oil, moisturizer and cc beauty cream on my face. I had hives and a very aggravated face going into the facial session. After the products were all on, there was an immediate difference. My face felt so much better afterwards, the hives went away and over a period of a few hours my redness and dry skin dissipated completely. My skin was thanking me for not putting all those harsh uneccesary ingredients on my face. I spent a lot of money on the products but it was entirely worth every penny. I overhauled everything in one sweep. I bought the cleansing oil, moisturizer, cc cream, foundation, translucent powder and mascara. I'm in LOVE with it that I want to recommend to everyone šš As a Mediterranean girl, I know how much olive oil is beneficial for the skin as I learned this from my mother and grandmother. One of the best oil cleansers I've tried. I have dry, sensitive skin and I really love this oil cleanser. The DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is an OG Japanese oil cleanser that gently removes makeup and sunscreen without stripping your skin. It is olive oil based with rosemary extract and vitamin E. The olive oil is full of natural antioxidants and in combination with the vitamin E, they soften and hydrate the skin. It is a dark golden oil upon first appearance. It has a strong olive oil smell which I didn't love but the scent doesn't linger after emulsifying and being washed away. It becomes milky and is easy to wash off skin without rubbing. I use it as my first cleansing step in my PM routine. I use one pump for my face and neck and massage it onto my dry skin for 30 seconds before rinsing my hands and emulsifying the cleanser on my face. It becomes super soft and silky and leaves my skin feeling as soft and silky! If I'm double cleansing, I follow up with a water-based cleanser but on days when I work from home, I use this as my standalone cleanser for the PM. I have no qualms about this product. It removes my makeup just fine including stubborn waterproof mascara without rubbing and losing any eyelashes. It also makes me feel secure after wearing and reapplying sunscreen that every bit of sunscreen is off by the end of my PM routine. For a basic oil cleanser, this is HG!
I really wanted to like this. I used it for several weeks, which now of course I see was far too long. It broke down my mascara and sunscreen beautifully. As soon as I applied it I could feel it immediately going to work at my mascara- which is why I love an oil cleanse. It emulsified with water pretty well and my second cleanse took it away without noticeable residue. I didnāt experience any related breakouts and the oil had very little scent. The issue was my eyes. It feels like there is a film on my eyes and it takes a while to go away. Does it remove makeup? Yes and quickly! Iāve been using this cleanser for over 7 years. Any time I deviate from it, I come back because nothing compares. For the folks writing bad reviews… it appears they arenāt using it as itās meant to be used. You apply it BEFORE you wet your hands or face. 2 to 3 pumps on a dry face (can be used over your makeup) and you massage it all over your face, THEN apply a small amount of water on your hands and the cleanser turns to a milky consistency as you continue to massage it. THEN, rinse off. This product changed my skin. Iām 34 and have hardly any wrinkles or fine lines. Itās so worth trying. Just make sure you read the directions. So this product says to apply a couple squirts with dry hands and face. If you like applying Elmerās glue directly to your face and trying to spread it then itās just like this product. Itās sticky and thick and needs just a drop or two of water to help it glide properly. The smell is supposed to be pineapple. I smell more of a tropical fruit punch koolaide scent. Itās not terrible, but there is too much of it. If youāre okay with those two things then it works well otherwise. Makeup and grime come off easily, and it leaves no residue afterwards.Emleorod
This isn't a very good cleansing oil in my opinion. It's very thick and sticky, so it pulls and tugs at my skin when I'm trying to cleanse my face with it. Compared to other cleansing oils I've used, I find that I need to use way more product in order to spread it across my face (because it's so thick I think) and by the time I'm done, it doesn't even remove my makeup very well. I always double cleanse, but with other cleansing oils, they at least remove the majority of my makeup, or loosen it up so that my next cleanser can finish up the job. When I'm done with this one, I still have eye makeup on that hasn't been loosened up at all. It doesn't even fully loosen up my foundation. So overall … it's kind of useless! I was given this Milky Mushroom Gentle Cleansing Oil gifted by KORA Organics in exchange for an honest review. First off, Iām no stranger when it comes to double cleansing and using cleansing oils, and cleansing oils are definitely a dime a dozen nowadays- thereās definitely a lot of great ones out there, but this one comes off more unique with its dual-phase properties. You have to vigorously shake the bottle before use to make sure your blending the dual-phase properties which consist of itās highlighted ingredients of silver ear mushroom, babassu oil, and sunflower seed oil. What I definitely LOVE about this cleansing oil is the moisturizing feel of the texture, that DOESNāT feel like oil slick. Itās definitely somewhere in a occlusive serum texture (as opposed to a cleansing cream texture). As a bonus, I love the fact it also has gentle exfoliating properties, so it will actually help with texture in the long run! It doesnāt sting or feel irritating, it definitely made my face feel clean as a single step cleanse. I would say people who have drier skin with some texture will benefit from this a lot more! This cleansing oil is just so beautiful to look at in its tall glass bottle & the dual phase cleansing milky oil inside. This contains nourishing & cleansing oils of sunflower seed, babassu, apple seed, macadamia, olive, rosehip & jojoba. In addition to these oils, there is tremella fuciformis or as I know it as snow fungus & KORA calls it Silver Ear Mushroom ~ is a white gelatinous parasitic fungus that has been used in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) for centuries, as well as for culinary dishes. It draws water to the skin, just like hyaluronic acid, helping keep your skin hydrated and moist, plumping up fine lines and wrinkles. It is supposed to be 120% more efficient than HA, as its particles are smaller than hyaluronic acid ~ it penetrates your skin better and more easier Other notable ingredients are hydrating aloe vera, saccharide isomerate & glycerin, soothing calendula and AHA exfoliator lactic acid. I found that this did a nice job of cleaning my face overall, but if I wore stubborn, long lasting or heavy makeup, I needed to use a different oil cleansing step first.
