Best Razors For Thick Coarse Hair (2024 Update)

I spoke with a Fendrihan representative before purchase to discuss a few DE safety razor options for the beginner and he pointed out that this Feather model is obviously not the equal of an all-metal razor for durability and perhaps for certain elements of design. There are certainly reasonably-priced all-metal options here that you could probably use for a lifetime and leave to descendants in your estate! However, I've had a good experience relying on this model for my first safety razor and not simply for its low cost. With only a little practice, I found it easy to get a close, comfortable shave; I particularly like using the Feather brand blades (2 are included) though you'll almost certainly want to buy a sample pack of other brands to see what works best for you. Because much of it is plastic, it's very lightweight and ready to throw into your luggage for travel, letting you leave your gorgeous all-metal dream machine at home, safe from loss while on the road. If, like me at first, you really just want to dip your toe into the safety-razor-shaving waters, this is an economically-painless way to do it. And if your experience is anything like mine has been, you won't go back to multi-blade cartridges from the Big Names ever again. Especially if you already wet-shave, you owe it to yourself to give DE safety razors a try and this is a great starter's option.Jeff

For an inexpensive TTO razor, the Feather ticks the boxes. It features a robust plastic & metal construction, a smooth open and closing mechanism, good blade alignment and even a plastic carry case. I bought it for travelling rather than taking one of my vintage or more valuable razors. The Feather provides a mild but reasonably efficient shave and would work well with the Feather blades (although I have yet try that combination). If I have one criticism, it concerns the case. With all the types of plastics available, razor manufacturers insist on using the nasty brittle kind that CD cases are made of, and are so prone to cracking and breaking. How about more flexible cases that would stand up to the rigours of travel?spiderhitch53

After all the hype that I read and watched online, I find it difficult to believe that this product is as popular as it appears to be. When you run an electric razor over the same area up to 10 times and your whiskers are all still there…. then there is a problem somewhere. I made sure to apply light pressure and hold the product at the proper angle (as per the instructions) and the the only difference was chaffed skin. This product did even worse on my neck. None of the whiskers were cut and I had what looked (and felt) like burn marks on my throat. This is not the most expensive electric razor on the market, by far. But it's not cheap either. It has a very lightweight "cheap feel" to it. I don't care what a razor looks like, or feels like in my hand. Those are non-issues with me. As long as the product works, I honestly don't care. That being said, this razor is poorly designed. It looks and feels like you're shaving with a 3 1/2 inch section of two-by-four. That and the lackluster color scheme makes this thing about as ugly as my 6th grade English teacher.mr.sleeve

In the barber trade, Andis and Wahl are the big names in clippers shavers. When it comes to tools for finishing fades, the Andis Profoil and Wahl Shaver Shaper are the benchmarks. I bought the Andis because I like the way the shaver blades are staggered. The performance is outstanding. You shave as close as you want. But I'd have to caution anyone using this tool not to bear down hard because you'll be pushing the blades with far too much force against the foil which will wear down the foil and blades prematurely and might even produce a razor burn. Just take it easy and you'll have great results in short order.7373markh

If you’re a bald man with a beard myself then this is a great product to have! This is more of a “finishing” product. All you have to do is get your head down to stubble and and go over it with this and bam no hair left. It’s also great for lining up your beard. The only negative I would have to say is that I tend to go through the foil replacements quite a bit because I use mine so much but you have to realize it’s foil and isn’t made to last forever. Definitely a product to have if you like a clean shave.shawn.s

Exceeded Expectations! Been Bald shaving for close to 25 years. I've used several different methods from the head blade to regular blades to conventional electric rotary shavers. The Balder Pro changed everything. It worked so well on my head that I tried it on my face. Wow, did it worked! I've found that I can shave my head and face using a "slick" type shaving cream in the shower in less than 3-5 minutes, saving so much time than leaning over the sink and making a mess. The Balder Pro does such a great job under my chin and neck area with absolutely no pulling or nicks. Another impressive feature is cleaning is so easy, since I rinse it under the shower while shaving, that when I removed the head to deep clean it, there was hardly any residue, shaving cream or hair. Although my scalp hair has receded over the years, my beard is still quite thick and this thing cuts right through it quickly leaving my face smooth and unirritated. Cannot recommend highly enough! This was my first time trying the Gillette Venus Deluxe Smooth Swirl razor. The purple color and the design is pretty and I really like most of the features of this razor, such as, the five diamond like coated blades, they glide smoothly and comfortably over my skin, however, I didn't receive as close of a shave as I expected and I still have stubble by the end of the day. Although, I typically use a sensitive razor, I was pleasantly surprised with the activated 360 ribbon of moisture around the blades, it really does a great job with helping to protect against nicks and cuts, but it also tends to get sticky and stick to areas where placed. I didn't notice much difference with the flexiball, but the ergonomic soft gel handle was also comfortable and helped with control. All in all, it moisturizes well, has a great handle, but needs improvement with sharper blades for a closer shave and a protector cover for the blades when finished shaving.Blissfullydivine01

I have always used a Gillette Venus Smooth Swirl razor and it works really well. The blades are carefully placed to stop you from getting nicks and cuts and having five blades really helps to make sure you get the smoothest shave. The moisture ribbon is helpful if you run out of shaving gel and need a quick fix but does dry out after 2-3 uses. The flexiball isn't really that flexible in my opinion but since the blades are so carefully placed in alignment with one another, it doesn't usually cut you when shaving over the curves of your body. The only times I ever tend to get nicks is if I accidentally press too hard when going over my knee but this is very rare. Using this razor, I only have to shave 1-2 times a week and almost never get ingrown hairs. I think the price of a razor is quite high for what it is and how much the materials used to make it cost, but the handle lasts a long time and the blades last around a month for meEmiJ

Ok! So nothing was really bad about this razor, some people said the ball would make it uncontrollable but i thought it was helpful! Now I will admit, that the handle if it gets wet it was slippery, it didnt fall out of my hands but i thought it would have. Now i have been searching for my perfect razor and i dont think this is the best out there, but it did good! Now for the first time using it i did cut both of my knees, a little, but it didnt hurt and it vanished. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for myself. After speaking to a staff Member(Nathan) and doing much research on the Razor and its competitors, I decided on the Feather DX. I do like a razor that has some weight and further more, a Razor that lets you choose the angle to accommodate the different areas of your face. There was no doubt in my mind about the quality of this razor when I opened the box. Fitting it into my hand felt like it was right at home. It was so comfortable. What I like is the shorter handle and not the L shape one usually associates with using a conventional a straight razor. Another reason for my wanting a razor like this is for when I travel for my job, it is so nicly portable, no strops etc. required. Wonderful! Getting to the shave, I was very pleasantly surprised how smoothly it fit my hand and, being careful with selecting my angle, I found it so easy. The weight of the razor itself did the job, all I had to do was guide it, even in the tricky spots alonfg the jawline and below. This is where stretching your skin as is recommended with most blade razors is almost mandatory. I did not feel any "pull" at all, it was such a smooth shave that I had to check a few times to see if it really did shave that area. Unbelievable! Being a straight razor user I was aware of the danger of being a bit careless so I gave it my full concentration (essential attitude when using a wet shave razor). Not a cut,nor a weeper. This is one glorious shave. I include it in my rotation now and will probably gravitate to it more often. Just think, no honing, stropping etc. Ideal for those days when you do not have the time for that. I used to be mildly amused at Shavettes. This Razor changed my perspective. It is Professional Class, no doubt about it. I use the Feather Artist Club Professional Super Blades. Personal Opinion. I am not sure if this razor is the right one for those new to straight razor shaving but if they want to use a Shavette as an introduction to it then this is the one to go to. I am a believer that starting out with a low quality instrument such as a musical instrument , camera, razor etc. can put more people off than encourage them. For seasoned Straight Razor users this is a treat not to be missed. It is different and so will add variety to your routine. This is the one I have used for years. It does an amazing job at shaving without nicking my skin a ton. I like how smooth and razor burn free my skin is. Plus I don't get that many ingrown hairs when I shave with this razor. If I run out of replacement heads I have a few other razors on hand I use and I can clearly tell the difference between those razors and this one. There is no competition. If you want smooth hairless skin without having little peices of toilet paper stuck to your skin to stop the bleeding from all the places you nicked your legs then I highly recommend this razor.amanda.s

I’ve always heard good things about men razors and how much of a better shave you get than womens razors, but I had no idea until I purchased this razor. I mean I feel cheated using womens razors this whole time! Not only did I get a closer shave with the pro glide, but the razor design itself is so sleek and has a Flexball that moves along the contours of your body. It has a lubrastrip for comfort and of course 5 blades. I’ve never got such a close, smooth shave like I did with this razor. I know it’s usually expensive, but it was on sale at CVS for $11.99 plus I had a $5 coupon so I only paid about $6. This razor gives a great smooth shave! It’s battery-powered and provides gentle vibration which help the razor glide smoothly over your skin. It features 5 blades perfectly spaced together for incredible comfort. The precision trimmer on the back of the razor makes getting your hard to reach areas of your face easy. Unless it\'s a laser, it all shaves the same. 5 or 1 blade all dull after the first shave if you use them once a month or 5 times a day. More blades only make a difference if you don\'t use a trimmer before cutting through grown hair which will require more passes which is fine for some and useless for others. In the end, only one thing effects the quality of the product. How much does it cost? Buy the most cost effective and spend cash on a good shaving kit like soap & a brush.\n\nI\'d also be curious about the plastic/rubber materials used as the formula changed around 20 years ago to be much softer and it becomes like puddy when exposed to oils from your skin & shaving cream over a long enough time period. A simple computer mouse can come apart in only a month and I\'d imagine shaving oils would eat away at the same speed. Make sure this is always considered & tested when making your products as it\'s a shame to need to throw away handles. I\'d rather have a good metal frame with actual wood or such materials built into it to allow for a firm grip than something that is gonna ball apart and leave my hand with a nasty substance on it after a while if i only want to buy replacement blades to save money and resources not tossing it in the trash being wasteful which is becoming too common.Brian

I just found these again, six in a recycled cardboard package. Bravo BIC for producing an excellent razor at a good price, and aiming for environmentally sound packaging and materials. I use disposable razors almost exclusively and they are one of a group of products where price and quality are directly correlated to each other. A cheap, inexpensive razor isn't likely to result in a comfortable shave. In my younger days, I would often reach for the cheaper varieties out of financial necessity. But today, I invest more time and money on shaving and other health care products. BIC Comfort 3 Advance is BIC's most expensive razor and it does rank a notch better than the other, more expensive members of the BIC family and several notches better than BIC's cheapest razors. Judging by the ability to cut hair, this razor seems like a pretty good one. The cutting device offers three blades that get the job done in the most efficient manner possible. Each stroke sends three blades across the surface of your skin, cutting the hair more quickly and with less effort than other disposable razors. I did experience an occasional small cut (usually above my upper lip), but this is common with almost all hand operated razors. The lubrication strips just above the blades offer extra protection by moisturizing the skin before the blades make contact. These strips release aloe and Vitamin E and you can feel them working with each stroke across your face. They leave a trail of moisture on the skin that is slippery to the touch but washes off quickly with water. This is one part of the razor, however, that wears out more quickly than the rest. After about four uses, I could feel a distinct difference in the amount of lubricant that was released from these strips. There was practically nothing left and their enhancement to the shaving experience was minimal. Also, since they do leave the skin feeling rather slimy, they make it more difficult to check for a close shave. When I shave, I am most picky about the moustache area and I tend to shave it more rigorously. I even turn the razor around and shave against the growth of the hair for added closeness. I always rub my fingers across the skin to check for closeness but this process is interfered with lubrication is present. The sliminess of the aloe and Vitamin E makes it feel like the shave was closer than it really was. This is why you must remember to wipe off the slimy lubricant before you administer the touch test. The handle of BIC Comfort 3 Advance is designed to make shaving easier. The wider bottom fits nicely into the palm of the hand while the narrow middle is good for gripping between the fingers. The raised "bubbles" (for lack of a better word) offer a gripping surface and they are placed in several strategic places on the handle. This design is a good one and it ranks with some of the better, more expensive disposable razors. BIC Comfort 3 Advance is just like other disposable razors in at least one regard: It has to be thrown away in about one to two weeks. Based on my experience, this razor is good for about seven to twelve days depending on the density of one's hair and the frequency of shaving. I shave once every day so with this razor, I can expect to get through one full month with about three or four razors. This is a little bit better than other disposable razors and it helps to partially justify the extra cost. Overall, the BIC Comfort 3 Advance is a very good razor from BIC and it ranks as the best disposable BIC razor I have tried thus far. The price per razor is almost greater than BIC's other varieties but when it comes to disposable razors, the added cost is worth it. I have used Venus razors for much of my life. As the company releases innovative options, I tend to be intrigued by the latest in technology from my trusted razor. Venus provides a close shave that is somehow safe because I am not the most coordinated; yet, never cut myself. All of that being said, when I saw the silver version – it was my hope that it would combine everything I love about Venus razors with the sleek, silver sophistication that might serve as decor for my shower. Overall, this version did not disappoint. It provided the same close, painless shave I have grown to expect. It looks modern; yet, timeless. A contradictory take that makes sense when you see it in person. The only opportunity I noted was the lack of sufficient grip. The sleek design is a bit slippery when wet and I have dropped it many times. While this is largely user error, adding details that provide a better grip is the only way I could suggest improving on this updated take on a timeless classic.allison.s

Let me just say this is by far the Best Razor I had ever used in My life. I absolutely love it. When I shaved let's just say my skin was super soft. It gave me a clean and soft shave without stubble. Let’s be honest, this is my second time buying Venus razor with changeable blades. First time I had a plastic one (I think it was comfortglide) and I threw it away after one month or so, because I didn’t really like it, not the handle, not the blades. I use an epilator now but still use razor in between epilating, because I am ‘teaching’ my hair to grow at the same time. I decided to give this beautiful rose gold razor a try. Wow, ladies, the handle is just beautiful, it is steel, so it has some weight to it which I like a lot, it doesn’t feel like a cheap razor at all, also it was packed in paper package, not including any plastic, except the blade packaging! The Extra smooth sensitive blades are fantastic! You can’t even feel the razor touching your skin, no cuts, no irritation, it cuts the hair very close and leaves my skin so smooth (thanks to both epilating and shaving of course)!! Really worth buying! I got it in my local supermarket for 8€ after discount. It is just so great I really have no words to describe it 😄. If you haven’t tried Venus razor with changable blades yet, please do yourself a favour and buy it, I highly suggest the steel one, which is heavier, trust me you will not be disappointed!kornelija.s

This Razor is probably Gillette's best Razor in a very long time. I have to use the Gillette Sensitive razor and Blades when I travel. When I am at home, I default to this razor. You can use the blades these come with (or other blades based on your preferences) and get an excellent shave. Seriously, if flights would allow me to carry the DE blades on checked in baggage, I would only use this razor.Meathos

I really really like the way this razor assembles because it stays secure while you shave. I say that because I've had other safety razors in the razors and they came loose while I would be shaving and I would have tighten them back up. So that's a winner with this one for sure. This baby has given me the most comfortable smooth shave of my life and guys I'm 38 years old. I've had all types of razors but this is by far the best for me. I don't need another razor!!! I wanted less expensive primarily, and double edge razors can be cheaper when the razors are bought in bulk: a lot cheaper. Previously, I used disposable cartridges. I am very pleased with the results so far after 1 shave. I was careful for the first time, of course. I had zero nicks or cuts. Of course, it still will take patience so I don't have problems. I was careless and fast with disposables, and has a couple nicks each time. I can really get used to this, but any good shave takes a fair amount of patience. I've been using these Venus Extra Smooth refills for well over 10 years. I can say with certainty, no razor on the market works as well as these (I've tried almost all of them!). The razor glides smoothly across my skin with the help of added moisture ribbons that surround the blades. Even though the moisture ribbons do help aid in shaving, I don't recommend using the razor without some type of shave gel or cream. Venus suggests that one refill can last a month. As someone who shaves VERY often, I can completely agree with this, and usually only have to change mine out every 3-4 weeks. When using a fresh refill, the blades will be much sharper. You'll want to be a little more careful at first, but they will quickly dull to a more useable sharpness quickly. I cannot recommend these refills enough! I don't know what I would do if Venus ever took them off the market!renalee88

They also have a ribbon of moisture so these Venus extra smooth refill blades glide over my skin without leaving nicks or cuts so that makes shaving easier and takes less time. These refill blades are simple to change and fit most Venus razor handles. These razor refill blades have a pivoting head so it's easier to maneuver around your knees and ankles so you don't miss any areas. Each refill blade lasts up to a month if you shave twice a week and I usually shave once a week so they last me a long time. I am very happy with these Venus extra smooth refill blades an they work very well. I remember when I was younger and had to shave with a single blade razor and I have to say that five blades is so much better! This razer/trimmer combo is a great concept. It's a little bulky at first feel but doesn't really make a impact, just takes a few uses to get used to. The trimmer side has an adjustable guard that I found more than suitable for my goatee length. When using guard I had no issues with it. When I took guard off to trim the beard down to a stubble so I could shave it with the razor it snagged some hairs for some reason. The razor shaved very comfortable and smoothly. Overall I love this concept and it makes for a great addition to the travel bag.iamharv

I love a good gadget and this one fits the bill. Schick makes a good razor. I get a nice smooth shave with just wet skin and soap on my neck. I also have beard that my wife likes to be well trimmed, shaped and groomed. The razor gives me no nicks and cuts. The other side is a trimmer that has a few length settings with the guard. I used it to trim back my bushy eyebrows and it did a good job. I also removed the guard and used the clipper by itself to shape my beard edging and it did a good job, not a great job but definitely a good job…Given the compact and lightweight size of this thing, the fact that the clipper/trimmer does any good is a pleasant surprise. When I need to do a big trimming job, I need to break out the official plug in clippers but for the in between jobs, this is perfect! It's also covered in silicone so it's easy to grip. This Schick Groomer Razor is a game changer when it comes to shaving. I am impressed with how gentle it is on my skin, I didn't get an nicks/cuts or irritation after use. The double use end is the BEST feature, I can wet/dry shave or use the trimmer and get the desired results I need. The Schick Groomer Razor has a GREAT design, very easy to use and extremely convenient. I no longer need two products for shaving/trimming my beard/mustache I now use the Schick Groomer Razor and again I am COMPLELTY satisfied with it. The cool look and soft handle is a pls as well. Overall, the Schick Groomer Razor is one of the best dual men's shave/trimming tool and I will be purchasing more when I can't use this one anymore.liljayp

Another great rotary in Philips' lineup. This series does solve the issue of many complaints regarding the detachable trimmer and heads of other Philips shavers – it has the traditional flip-top head and pop-up trimmer. This adds to the bulk of the shaver, body and head, but precludes having to keep track of a separate trimmer and remove the head for cleaning, and it works reasonably well, although for me the trimmer isn't quite as effective as the SmartClick attachments for the Series 9000 shavers. The ComfortGlide Rings really are effective, and provide a frictionless shave, although in this model they are slightly larger than the Anti-Friction rings of the S7940 for example, and require some maneuvering to get around tight areas. The Quick Clean pods use the same cleaning solution as the SmartClean cartridges for the SmartClean stations, which is excellent for cleaning and lubricating the shaver. The Quick Clean Pod is unpowered however, and uses the shaver's power, reducing it by about 1 percent per cleaning, although on a positive note doesn't require cords or cables and is more compact – actually usable for travel. The GroomTribe app is the Achilles Heel of all these Bluetooth shavers, and in particular this model (S7782), because there's no information regarding this particular shaver – the app seems exclusively to recognize only the S7940 shaver. On the plus side, the S7782 will connect, and it does record the shaving time and the percentage of rotation (which improves shaving efficiency), although the motion sensor algorithm in the shaver appears not to recognize the correct rotational movement about half the time. The good news is you don't actually need the app, and this shaver has an LED screen that provides all the essential information about the shaver, including battery life, cleaning information and the previously mentioned inaccurate rotation statistics. The shaving heads (SH71/52) only have a single cutting ring, but actually are comfortable and provide a very close shave. Overall, an excellent rotary from Philips, that provides a close, comfortable shave, warts and all, with the potential to improve with software updates to the app. Recommended.S7782

This new Norelco shaver is a big change from my current one. Some things I really like about it and a couple not so much. Starting with the not so much is the fact that there's no charger for this shaver, it just comes with a cable with a USB end. My current Norelco has a nice charger base it sits upright in and plugs into the wall. The shave head on this is also considerably larger than my current one and takes some getting used to for trimming around tight spots on the face. Now for the good, this shaver requires very little effort for shaving stubble on my face and gets it all with only a couple passes. The way the shave head can contour around the face is cool and helps to get shaving done quicker. The shaver has a battery level indicator on the front which comes in handy, my current one only has a light that flashes when its time to charge it. Overall this is a nice replacement shaver other than not coming with a charger right out of the box.dmx10101

Probably the best rotary shaver ever made. This model is akin to the old-style Norelco shavers of the 90s into the 2000s. Only with a modern look and feel. For a while, since 2015 or so I think, most Philips Norelco models had heads with two rows of blades and were somewhat open on the outside. I feel this was a mistake as skin could get caught in the open spaces. This model however has the blades completely enclosed by the comb with one row of blades. Like the old ones used to be. And believe me, one row of blades is fine. I get a great shave from this model. Philips Norelco reached the apex of electric shaving technology years ago with lift-and-cut blades, and they just keep improving. But the previous style of blades was not best for me. Speaking of lift-and-cut, that was not a meaningless marketing slogan. If the hairs were long enough you could actually feel them being plucked, ouch. Fortunately gone are the days of nickel-cadmium batteries taking 8 hours to charge and dry shaving only. This is the new era of electric shaving. The blades are self sharpening and most if not all models are now wet / dry. This model feels sturdy and solid with good weight. Fits well in the hand. And the motor is strong but not too loud. And the blades cut through stubble like it's not even there. I've used many norelco models through the years. But there's something about this one. It cuts cleaner, easier and faster. And it just feels better on my face, and in my hand. I shave in the shower with Nivea Men Sensitive gel, because I'm a sensitive guy. And if I'm in a hurry I shave dry. It's nice to have the option of either. This is the best Norelco so far, and it's not even the really expensive model.Bond...James, Bond

It's everything you've read about: well designed and manufactured, holds the blade well, simple to use, yadda-yadda-yadda. It is what it's advertised to be. That said there are a couple issues to know: I 1. The corner of the blade itself is squared off of course, and not covered. I found it's easy to gouge a scar in your phizz quickly if you aren't careful. I haven't run into this issue with any straight razors. At least these are razor cuts, aren't painful, and heal quickly. Still, who wants to look like a Boris Karloff character..? 2. The Parker uses half of a double-edge blade, which exacerbates 1. above a bit since you cutting area is only about an inch or so. If you factor these into your learning curve, you can come out all right. Just stuff I ran into. The feel of the blade directly on the skin is amazing after using safety razors. While you want to go slow and steady, the shave is awesome. I use H.I.S. shave oil, which IMHO is a must for straight razor work. It provides far better protection than any soap or foam and you can see precisely where you are cutting. The only downside to this or stuff like Shave Secret is they creates a buildup of top layer skin cells and whiskers that is a minor pain to clear out of a double-edge razor and murder if you like the multi-blade cartridges like Gillette or Harrys! So one star off for not enclosing the blade edge, otherwise a great product!monday317

I'm still getting used to it, but I can already tell it's the solution I have been looking for. I'm experienced with a safety razor, and while that helps a bit, this is a whole 'nother ballgame. The build quality is solid and I really like the look. I recommend keeping it clean and dry after every use. This isn't something I'd just keep in the shower like a disposable razor. Even though I am a woman, Personally, I like to use men's razors to shave with because I get a better shave with the Men razors vs the female ones. These razors are made of good quality. The blades are also changeable. I feel these razors move smooth and I have never cut my legs using these! Additionally, I have never had razor burn while using men razors aka BIC Flex 3™ Disposable Razor. I defiantly would recommend this product. I think it's definitely worth it. The BIC Flex has 3 flexible blades. The handle has a curve with a rubber grip. It also contains lubricating strips. The most important feature that makes this like the higher end razors is that the head pivots which makes it comfortable. The pivoting head keeps you from cutting yourself as well as making it possible to get a much closer shave. Disposable razors have came a long ways in quality and performance. A few years ago I couldn't use any of the more affordable ones because I would be covered in nicks and cuts as well as ending up with a nasty case of razor burn. Now I buy nothing but Bic Flex. If you want to get the best for your money Bic Flex 3 is the way to go.Fallenangel70

Nothing worse than a company praying you don’t read the smaller text. I was unfortunate enough to buy in store to find out that the 100% waterproof is only for cleaning. Very annoying- but maybe passable if its use was good? Absolutely not. Took forever to get anything off my face which a normal razor could have done 3 times over in the time I tried to use this- and my face still isn’t properly shaven. I’d get a refund but I didn’t realize how truly bad this product would be Stick to shaving normally if possible or buy a better razor thats TRULY WATERPROOF if thats what you’re looking forCyrus

This is my first experience with a Braun razor. I wear a beard, but still need to keep my neck & cheeks nice and neat. I shaved with a hand razor for years, it was fine. I was interested in a foil razor, but wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep my definition lines on my face without destroying them. However, a friend of mine who also sports a beard has used a Braun for years, no issues. For the price I paid for this razor, I thought I'd try. Not sure why this little razor isn't getting more love, maybe people just don't know how to shave. It works darn good. I can shave closer & faster than I can with a blade, no irritation, and it does not destroy my beard lines. I can't imagine how good your expensive models shave, this little guy works well. Only wish I could use with a cord, but that's not a deal breaker. Don't ignore this razor!mike6000

There was nothing at all to dislike about this product. I found it to be an amazing piece of machinery. You see I have Parkinson's disease. It eventually became impossible for me to use standard blade razor because I could not twist my wrist to the angles needed to save the contours of my face at the jawline on the sides of my face. This razor is lightweight definitely waterproof and easily glides over all the contours of my face with its pivoting blades. Or I also like to point out that it was easy for me to hold because of the texture of the outside casing of the razor itself you see I have no strength in my hands either. I promise that this razor gives just as close a shave as a standard triple Blade razor.Philip
