I was prone to patchy red spots/lesions. Tried everything but only this works. Selenium sulfide is the main ingredient; other Selsun products with different main ingredients did not work. Must be left on for a few minutes so I begin my shower by lathering up with this and finish my shower with rinsing it out. Different things work for different people; selenium sulfide works for me.
I tried many anti-dandruff products and nothing worked for me except Selsun. The blue colour combination with mild scent is good for people like me who don't like extra smelly. I use twice weekly and I should say after 2nd week, I started to see much improvement with my hair with reduction in scalp dandruff. I tried this shampoo looking for product that would add volume to my fine/medium density hair and because I heard great things. This shampoo made my hair feel like straw after; it was incredibly staticky, dull, and had absolutely no volume. I followed up with the conditioner, and it felt like I hadn't put conditioner in my hair at all. After doing some research, I found out why: This shampoo contains sodium laureth sulfate or sulfate. It is extremely drying and strips your hair of natural oils; however, the effects of sulfate can be negated with a conditioner that uses silicone (a synthetic oil that is bad for the environment as it does not break down). The matching conditioner does not have silicone to recoat your hair, leaving it dry and brittle from the damaging effects of the shampoo. Ideally, you don't want sulfate or silicone in your hair. I don't know why this line would tote not having silicone but then still use sulfate. It's just setting your hair up for damage. I thought I would add what I found for anyone considering using this line, especially if you have sensitive scalp/hair. I believe nexxus does have some sulfate free shampoos.MichelleK103

My first experience with L'ANZA products was when I received a sample. My hair is very thin and fine, so I'm always looking for products that give it more body. I loved the sample and immediately ordered the thickening shampoo and thickening conditioner when I saw that they were an option. I am m not sure what magical ingredients go into this, but the products have transformed my hair. I was forever searching for my "holy grail" shampoo and conditioner and nothing ever 'wowed' me. I have been buying Dove shampoo and conditioner for many years from Sam's. Dove has changed the smell and the formula. My hair actually looks oily after I blow it dry. I have fine thin hair and the old formula always worked well for me. My hair would blow out to be light and bouncy. This new formula just weighs it down. We placed a delivery order recently with Wal*Mart a few items were delivered from our local store. They left the order at our door left before we realized it was the wrong order. The first time I tried this it was based on a recommendation from my daughter. I had never even heard of this brand before. The curl conditioner and the curl shampoo are nothing less than miraculous. I am in love with both of these products. I went to visit my mom recently. I was pulling my teardrop camper so I just wanted travel sizes. I thought I could make do for a week using some other products I had in travel sizes. No. No. No. I ended up going out and buying new bottles because I couldn’t stand to be without them.carla.b
So I was very hesitant to try this shampoo because of some of the reviews but now I regret not trying it sooner. Some of the complaints are that it doesn’t get your hair clean and i feel like that may be true if you’ve only ever used shampoos with silicones and switch to this. You have to use the clarifying shampoo first if you have never used silicone free before otherwise the moisture won’t get to your hair because of the silicone still left on your hair strands. This shampoo makes my hair so soft and has such a luxurious lather. I didn’t think I would like the nozzle but the shampoo is a thinner consistency so it comes out easily and deposits right on the scalp. I think I’ve finally found my holy grail shampoo. The one good thing about this shampoo is the packaging. The product goes directly onto the scalp with the perfectly sized nozzle. That's it though. The shampoo smells like men's deodorant. The smell doesn't fade, either. The shampoo doesn't rinse clean. My hands and hair felt oily and heavily conditioned just from the shampoo. It left a film on my hair that seemed to make it fall straight down. All of my waves and curls hung limply, with no definition, lots of frizz, and just awful. I am a hair product junkie and love to find products that allow my hair to be at its best. For the record, I have wavy hair that tends to be dry and frizzy at times. After shampooing with Extra Love Shampoo, I applied the conditioner for about 3 minutes. My hair felt soft and healthy which was exactly how it looked when it was dried. I would have loved a bit more hydration, but I’m sure a deep treatment or mask would be able to deliver that. Overall, great results and definitely a conditioner I would keep on rotation. I have natural curly hair, and using the IGK Extra Love Shampoo was not what I expected. It had a floral-like scent which was nice. The texture was creamy. Once I applied it, it did not lather. I massaged it on my scalp and roots, but it felt like all it did was dry up my hair. I don’t feel like my hair is clean, since I’m my hair feels more like it was stripped off its oils. Do I see any volume? A little bit but not enough for me to be wowed. Ok – IGK does it AGAIN! This haircare brand can do no wrong in my book. My hair is thin and usually gets pretty oiling fast so I am quite picky about my shampoo because I need that super clean, but not stripped hair kinda clean. My hair felt super soft and scalp felt so clean, i was able to go 3 days without washing – thats a huge win in my book! The scent did not bother me, it did not really stand out to me either. This isn't necessarily a bad product, but it's not my favorite. The smell is light and clean, though it is undoubtedly not a sudsy shampoo. Zero suds. A typical wash requires about two uses, and tons of extra product to get the job done. The product leaves hair soft, frizz-free, and ultimately shiny, so claims prove true. It's a pretty good product I wouldn't mind using, unfortunately, its downfall is its packaging. The bottle is not ergonomic in the least. This shampoo came with a learning curve for me. It does not lather well at all and after first using it without a repeat cycle, my hair felt dirty and oily at the crown. The scent is mild, but does not smell that great to me. Not to worry as it quickly disappears. I gave it another try and decided to do 2 rounds of shampoo. The first gave little to no lather, but the second lathered much better and I noticed that there was no dirty or oily feeling when drying it afterwards. The shine and style were also amazing. However, I barely made it through Day 2 without having to wash again and I noticed that despite the oil on my scalp, the mids and ends of my hair felt much drier. I’ll be sticking my my usual product going forward.
Let me start by saying that I have long, wavy, thick hair. I always wish to have glossier, shinier hair so was excited to try out Verb Glossy Conditioner. Packaging is very chic, the scent is actually pretty and the product is very thick so it stays on in the shower (which I like). I've been using the shampoo and the conditioner together and have not been impressed at all. My hair does not feel extra hydrated, it's not soft (let alone softer) and definitely not glossy! In fact it looks very dull. It's safe to say that it's the worst conditioner/shampoo I've ever used. The most moisturizing conditioner I’ve ever used for my 4A Hair. Didn’t have the greatest slip (I had to put in some work to detangle my hair) but I’m used to it. Soapberry shampoo. I also read its contents, and I thought why not? I give this a try and uh it's amazing. It's not only gentle, it's also paraben sulfate uh silicon free, which is required for the water today. And also apart from the stress and tension that we go through, we require this kind of a shampoo, which is a very mild gentle on the scalp as an and we can use this on a daily basis. So this is an amazing product for all you women out there who want to get their hair shampooed on a daily basis without having to worry that you know, it can be harsh on their scalp. Uh it can cause hair green issues. This is amazing. I can't wait to try and just try their shampoo. I can't wait to try their other products, especially their conditioner. I’m always trying out clean products, so I took a chance on this set for my hair and I’m glad I did. Keep in mind that if you are currently using regular stuff from the grocery store, your hair will have to detox for you to feel the effects of a clean natural shampoo. On my third wash my hair was clean, shiny and moisturized without leave-in products. I confidently use this on my kids too. I wish the bottle was bigger for the price, though. I'm very impressed with the ingredients in this shampoo and pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Many years ago I was on the hunt for body care items that were fragrance and dye free to address some health issues I was experiencing. Back then (about 10 years ago) it was not easy to find these items and even more difficult to find any that worked as well as "regular" products. I wish this had been available back then! It smells wonderful and lathers just as well as any other shampoo. I have extremely sensitive skin and found this product didn't cause any issues. My hair looked great, felt fantastic, and did I mention I loved the smell? The only downside (for me) is that even though I only wash my hair 1-2 times per week the cost is a bit high for my budget. It does not smell right. In fact, it smells pretty terrible. I m not sure if it is a counterfeit product or just sat on a shelf too long but it is definitely not the same as the product I purchased in the salon. Unfortunately there are no refunds/exchanges on this product so I may just throw it away because if it s not the real deal, I m not sure what it might do to my hair. Big bummer.
I have very fine hair that is highlighted. After washing my hair with Boosta shampoo and conditioner, I spritz this on. Great results with volume and beachy waves that hold. Docked a star because the smell is a bit strong on the harsher side – almost like pickles! It doesn't seem to make my hair smell but it's a bit rough when it is sprayed. Surprising because usually Unite products have a great smell. I am too happy with the results to return it but REALLY hope they work on improving the scent!!Anonymous

I don’t like to switch to a different types of hair products but I have been struggling with my frizzy hair for a long time. So when I received these products I was actually very excited to try this new anti-frizz set of shampoo, lamellar water rinse, and priming cream. I absolutely love this NYM shampoo and it has an amazing smell. Even after using it for the first time my hair felt so soft, shiny and smooth. If you have frizzy hair like me, this shampoo will definitely help you with that problem! It has the best ingredients, for example macadamia oil will help your hair regrown and also be smooth, hyaluronic acid help your hair reduce freeze, and add volume which is great. Not Your Mother's Anti-Frizz Shampoo is a wonderful product. It leaves my hair clean and with great smell. I got to use it with the other two products of the same line ( conditioner and lamellar water) and the results I got were great. I have a very long hair and frizz, dryness, split ends are few of the main concerns I have when I think about my hair. This shampoo along with the other products of the same line improved my hair condition. I noticed a significant improvement on the hydration and elasticity of my hair. My hair look stays "behaved" even with the high humidity of the south, where I live. I love how shinning, smooth and straight my hair looks after using Not Your Mother's products. Love the teal packaging since that’s my favorite color! I love that this is sulfate free because shampoos with sulfates strip any natural shine I have from my hair and makes it look like a dull mess. This is a super moisturizing shampoo and was great to have during the summer when my hair was taking a beating from swimming, chlorine, etc. I do have naturally oily hair and what I noticed is that this isn’t a shampoo I can use everyday, because when I did my hair became weighed down due to being overly moisturized (or not cleansing enough?idk) to the point where my hair looked like I hadn’t washed it. Once I figured that out I cut using this down to only days when my hair felt particularly parched which worked out very well. My hair was left super moisturized, especially my ends which can feel like hay due to drying elements such as chlorine. Not to mention this left my hair looking so shiny and smooth, so this delivers on the claims. Definitely a good shampoo to use if you know it’ll be a humid day. My hair loves to frizz and this definitely kept it smoother. It’s fairly cheap and I was able to find it at multiple stores when I went out shopping. If you’re looking for a great sulfate free moisturizing frizz prevention shampoo this should definitely be your pick, but just be mindful if you’re oily like me and use sparingly, but if you naturally have dry hair your hair will Ives this and will drink it right up.

It's a bit pricey but trust me its worth it. I was tired of my hair feeling gross, dry on the ends and oily at the roots. I threw away all my other garbage shampoos and I finally found the shampoo of all shampoos. Def sticking with this one a little lathers up a bunch. I can go 2-3 days without looking like an oily mess. And it makes my hair smell soo good. Def worth the money if youre tired of your hair having build up.emily p.
So, I hesitated about writing this review because I don’t like to complain, and I did love this product when I first purchased it. My hair was soft, smelled great, and I even had people commenting on the health & shine it had. I loved this product so much I stocked up on it.
About a year into using this shampoo and conditioner duo along with the leave in treatment I noticed an unusual amount of hair fall. I thought nothing of it assuming it was my hair screaming at me for the heat/hair dye ect. However, I noticed it more and more and after 6 months of extreme shedding I decided I should look into what was going on. First i started taking supplements (Womens vitamins and biotin) assuming it was my dreadful diet to blame. No change. I put a shower head filter in to filter my shower water. No change. Then I went cold turkey on heat styling, and stopped using hair dye. Nothing seemed to help. I even bought different ‘it’s a 10’ products to try to “strengthen” my hair. I attempted to not wash my hair but once a week… still incredible amounts of fall out. I was lost. Finally I changed shampoo. I started noticing in the shower less and less fall out, soon brushing my hair produced less wads of hair to clean from my brush. It seems I have found the culprit. I have spent 6 months trying to identify what I was doing wrong, and all signs point to “it’s a 10”.
I’m posting this not out of anger, or spite, but because everywhere I looked I saw “how great” this product is …. I even asked my hair dresser what she recommended for hair fall and she asked what I use and I told her “it’s a 10” and she raves about how great the product is.
my hair is incredibly thin and I have little baby regrowth. I don’t want someone else to go through what I did and change shampoo when it’s too late. So if u r using it’s a 10 and noticing a lot of fall out… maybe it just doesn’t work for us?

I really like this shampoo and conditioner. It's a shame so many people left 1 star reviews because it just didn't work for them. It would be different if there was something wrong with customer service or the product itself. However, with skin care, nail care, and hair care so much of whether or not it'll work for you is left biology and body chemistry and you have to try different products to find the one that works with yours. So it's really unfair to leave negative reviews on products that don't match up with your unique chemistry.wifeofsauron

We take my daughter to swim class two days out of the week and I started to notice that her hair was starting to get crispy ends and super dry. Her hair felt like she had accidentally put in a bowl of juice and let it dry out. I tried it once and her hair is soft and shiny she looks like she has a new set of hair I am very pleased with this purchase. Also a little bit goes a long way! My review is on the Daily cleanse line but since I couldn't find it, I'm placing my review on this one since they are fairly similar in my opinion. I love the Fairy Tales line of haircare in general. In my household, at any one given time, I've got a handful of their products in rotation. This particular line doesn't get as much hype as their others but should. The Daily cleanse shampoo is amazing. It is gentle, yet effective even on the oilest heads. I have three children under the age of 10 that all have different hair types and use this shampoo. It keeps their hair clean, soft and healthy. Pay the extra few bucks compared to other kids shampoos, you won't be disappointed.sabrina.s
My daughter (toddler) has wavy curly hair in the back that would turn into what we called a “rats nest” I’d wash her hair at night and by the middle of the next day her hair would look died out and was very knotted. I grabbed the curly q shampoo and conditioner and fell in love! I can go two days without washing her hair now. Her curls look hydrated and are super soft! My husband used it not knowing what it was and his natural curls were the best I’ve ever seen them until he went and straightened his hair lol. I’ve used it in my other kids who have straight hair and their hair comes out super soft. It does have a strong scent to it, but it is a very pleasant one. This is a really rich oily shampoo that is best for winter. I have very thick long wavy hair with normal oil & a dry scalp. This will clean my scalp, but not as well as the clarifying type shampoos. In the summer I use it without conditioner as its plenty hydrating on its own but I prefer a shampoo that cleans a little deeper for my scalp so my conditioner can hydrate my hair. My husband has medium-fine hair & this seems to be doing great for him though! Might repurchase in the winter, but unlikely. Again I'd rather add hair oils and conditioner than give up my clarifying SLS-free shampoo for my dry scalp. It's a game changer if you constantly try to avoid flakes. Try using SLS-free shampoo & silicone free conditioner. Its completely stopped my dry scalp.selinacat

I had dry, brittle hair which is prone to breakage a result of straightening my hair nearly everyday in my 20s. On top of that my hairs quite thin. So finding a shampoo that doesn't dry my hair out, prevents breakage and not full of unfriendly chemicals whilst adding volume and shine has always been tough. Until I found this little baby. The shampoo doesn't lather being sulfate free Which was something I had to get used to but I quickly realised I didn't need a lot for it to do the job. My hair felt hydrated, voluminous and strong. I've never had a shampoo which made my hair feel bouncy without it being frizzy. Only downside is it doesn't wash oil out of the hair very well. I put coconut oil on at least once a week and when I wash it the roots are still greasy after, just means a double wash that day.Samirose13
