I really like this. For me the smell lasts a while and it does a good job of clarifying my scalp. It smells great and it does what it says it’s going to do. My only issue is that it takes a while to rinse out. My hair feels a certain way after rinsing for what I would say is my “normal” rinsing time. I probably rinse an extra 30 seconds to a minute more than usual. But that’s okay with me because I don’t use this daily so to me it’s not a giant issue. But it might be for others. I NEVER want to use another shampoo again! My bleached hair feels like virgin hair again and feels so clean. I saw a mix of reviews saying that this shampoo sucked all the moisture out of their hair, and I could see where this may be an initial thought in the washing process because it does feel like it’s sucking everything from your hair WHILE washing… BUT the results are amazing. My hair is absolutely obsessed. It is truly in love with this shampoo. I used to use Paul Mitchell tea tree lemon and sage thickening shampoo but now my hair can’t get enough of this stuff! It’s packed with awesome ingredients and is full of great stuff for your hair. I would recommend reading what’s in this stuff and I’m sure you’ll agree! You’ll notice in the reviews that this makes your hair stiff. That is true. This is a clarifying shampoo so that means it’s actually doing it’s job by stripping everything kinda like the life out of it because it’s trying to rid the product build up. All you have to do is go in with a bangin conditioner and you’ll be fine! I usually add all the stuff back in with a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner once this clarifies it all out. If the world ever ran out of oil and we were faced with a National Oil Crisis.. FEAR NOT! My head could support the world and all its oil needs. Like for real- for real, I could wash in the morning and by lunch look like I was on day 3 of “no ones gonna know” dry pooing. I have tried many products and unless I’m fresh out the salon I can never skip a wash without everyone knowing! I actually bought this for my son to help with his build up as he suffers from the same oily headed mess I do on top of teenage boy hygiene. I was shocked y’all. Like I knew with my moms intuition he just stood in the shower and let the water run but his head wasn’t oily. So I tried it. Not only did I make the entire day, I rolled the dice threw caution to the wind and went for day two! Can’t tell me nothing! I will never not buy this! I wanted a clarifying shampoo in my hair routine due to having oily hair and using dry shampoo sometimes as well! I was stuck between OUAI and this Paul Mitchell one. $30 vs $15. I picked up the Paul Mitchell one from Ulta to give it a try. I have been using it for 6 months and I really like the feel of it! Definitely give it a try in between your normal shampoo! I have an oily scalp from seborrheic dermatitis and probably because it's just oily so I discovered Paul Mitchell Shampoo 2 for oily hair and it's the best. I buy a salon size at Paul Mitchell or a buy one get one at Ulta, works and lasts forever (see full review). But after living somewhere with soft water my whole life then moving to somewhere that's 100/100 on the hard water scale has been hard on my hair. I looked into Shampoo 3, which I associate with chlorine because decades ago when I was a swimmer I used this to protect my blonde hair. It was a different formula that was green then. Now my hair is dark blonde with darker roots (natural blonde) so it shows oil and buildup well. I have all kinds of filters to help with the hard water, but when it's that bad filters don't do much. This shampoo has a light blue tint and a subtle grapefruit scent. Shampoo 2 is clear with a softer lemon scent. I'm sensitive to dyes and fragrance and this doesn't bother me at all. I used this once a week and it really helps! I have so much volume after using this and my roots look great for days (I use another shampoo and wash my hair every other day). I really like this. I probably would need a purple shampoo to take the brassiness out of my blonde but I'm happy that this lets me go longer between washing my hair and does seem to remove some hard water buildup. This is drying. I just use it around my roots and then use a hair mask. If you have dry hair, then get in chlorine, then use this yes it will dry out your hair. But for my needs this has replaced shampoo 2

where have you been my entire life? I have very thick course hair and I love it long. I also have a lot of gray in my roots so it gets wiry, and lets not omit the part where I insist my hairstylist texturized and razors my hair (she fights me every single time) for layers and thinning purposes. I was so excited to try the new Olaplex No.4C Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo and was not disappointed! I start off by applying weekly in place of my regular shampoo to my wet hair at the scalp working to ends, working it into a lather, letting it sit for around 5 minutes to fully penetrate and process, rinse and follow with conditioner. This shampoo really does an amazing job clarifying my hair without leaving it feeling it dry like many others do because it is pH balanced. It removes buildup, damaging impurities, excess oil, pollution, heavy metals, and hard water minerals which basically covers so many things and what more could I personally ask for in a clarifying shampoo I ask myself? This shampoo also has Olaplex patented bond building technology so as I cleanse my hair it maintains strong hair bond which is so exciting in for me in this product that it has this too! I am not sure if this specific formula has been discontinued. I really liked this formula, and never had any issues with hair loss or scalp irritation. I have oily and fine hair, and use dry shampoo daily to extend the amount of time in between washes( 3rd or 4th day). By the time hair wash day comes around, the amount of product build up is unreal, but somehow this shampoo manages to remove all of the build up. When using this shampoo after a while, I did t have to use as much dry shampoo, and extend the time in between washes to every 5 days.susanne.j
Used it twice and WOW! I have thick curly hair. 3c/4a. I always used head and shoulders to clarify because I knew it was a harsher shampoo and helped with dandruff. It worked okay but dried my hair out really bad until I decided to buy this. This shampoo left my hair SUPER shiny. My hair hasn’t had a bit of shine to it in almost 7 years. It also feels silky when I straighten it. I can tell my hair will be a lot more healthier keeping this in my routine. Can’t believe I never knew about this until now. Okay first and foremost, this stuff smells terrible. The scent is incredibly strong and clings to my hair when used. It does admittedly work well at clarifying hair. I used this twice a month for about a year and other than the smell, I had no real complaints. In fact, it made my hair have tons of volume. However, I feel like it should be pointed out that this product does contain Dmdm Hydantoin. This ingredient is pretty controversial at the moment in relation to hair loss. As someone suffering from telogen effluvium due to covid I don't want to take any chances on more hair loss. If they got rid of that ingredient and toned down the smell, I would absolutely go back to using this. For now though, I will have to find a different clarifying shampoo.britt

Okay I LOVE this shampoo. It’s so affordable and I started using it bc I needed a good clarifying shampoo. My hair would start to smell after 2 days this was the first time I’ve ever had scalp issues. My hair is naturally pretty oily but I was getting a lot of flaking because of the dry weather I couldn’t figure out what to do. I tried head shoulders for a bit but I swear that’s what was making my scalp smell off. Not only did the Aveeno shampoo help with the oil, it also helped with the flakiness of my scalp. It honestly smells so good as well, nothing like apply cider vinegar. I recently got my hair done though im not sure that it’s colour safe since it is a pretty stripping shampoofaith.f
I’ve been on the search for a good shampoo that works with my hair. My hair recently started having an oil/grease problem & I was so embarrassed about it. I tried different shampoos, cut out conditioner, different dry shampoos… & I was still finding myself throwing on a cap, headband, or putting it up in a bun more often than not when going out. I found this shampoo on a list of good ones to try for oil control & I am so pleased! I just used it for the first time last night & my hair looks so good & clean today! I also used just a tiny bit of conditioner just on the ends of my hair. I’m really happy with the results. My hair is soft & sort of fluffy rather than slick & flat against my head. This shampoo is the best one I've come across that literally falls under a seriously affordable price. My first thoughts were that they were just calling it "apple cider vinegar" because vinegar is an actual product that you can use on so many things and it does such a thorough job of cleaning that it's almost unreal how well it cleans for a ridiculously low amount of money. Vinegar and baking soda together clean things that even the most expensive cleaning products can not even make a dent in. I figured if it was that easy, they would've used it in a shampoo centuries ago, but I figured wrong. This shampoo cleaned my hair so well, on the first wash, and I didn't have to dry my hair off while smelling like a vinegar brewery. It also was able to thoroughly clean my hair without feeling like I stripped my hair of not only dirt and oils, but also everything that makes our hair soft to the touch. Because vinegar is so acidic -like, I never would've thought that it would leave my hair soft and manageable. I'm not sure if there's a matching conditioner for the apple cider vinegar shampoo, but if there is, I would love to try them together. ??³crystal .s

Warning – Conditioner is a MUST with this shampoo! It really does clean your head and it kind of dries out my hair, but I love it. I have very fine, straight hair that has gotten thinner as I've gotten older. I do not color it or use any products and I rarely use a blow-dryer, so my hair is pretty healthy. My scalp is oily though so by the end of the day, my hair feels gross. This has helped me keep my hair feeling less greasy for longer. The smell is very light and refreshing, too. I have tried so many different clarifying shampoos over the years. I have fine, thin, long hi-lighted blonde hair. I use 2 different leave in products for strengthening/conditioning/heat protectant. Stop looking! I have never written a review before but this shampoo is amazing! I have dead and dry hair from bleach! My hair used to be so healthy before I lightened it! Then I went back to dark hair and it deposited a little too dark for me so I wanted to use a clarifying shampoo to try to strip some of the color and this stuff works so well! I have extensions in my hair and since extensions do not get the natural oil from your scalp, your have to use additional moisturizer to keep them healthy. These products does just that. The best clarifying shampoo out there. I have straight hair and have forever had issues with oily roots. I had been using a well-known anti-dandruff shampoo for years but noticed my hair was falling out more and more over time and no longer as thick as it used to be, so wanted something that would be gentle on the scalp whilst clarifying. After reading reviews for this shampoo I thought I'd give this a whirl. The first wash was great but subsequent washes have irritated my scalp, really itchy and very flaky; the worst my scalp has ever been in 30 years! This shampoo SAVED my hair. I’ve been using Native shampoo conditioner for about 6 months and I noticed my scalp start to have so much dandruff. It was REALLY bad. My hit also seemed really oily pretty quickly. At this point, it felt like I just couldn’t get it out no matter how long I rinsed. There was just lots of build up. This shampoo literally saved my hair. After one wash, it felt significantly better and actually clean. I paired it with the curl quench conditioner on my ends (even though I have straight hair) and use a little on my scalp and my hair looks and feels so much better. I honestly picked this because it was the cheapest clarifier I could find with a good amount of fl oz. I was comparing to other brands. This clarifier is very good and I am glad I picked it up. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. This product will also last long since we should not be clarifying our hair often. I have curly hair with a kinky texture. The directions says to use a dime-quarter size amount and I would stick by that. I used a little more than quarter size and my hair/scalp was clean fast. I had such high hopes for this brand, and especially the shampoo. I love the way the bottle looks it's so cute in the blush color, and I've heard great things from so many people about that they love the shampoo. I hate it. I need a clarifying shampoo because once a week I put a ton of oil, and sometimes hair masks as well, on my hair. I'm trying to regrow my hair, a little bit over a year ago I was completely bald, so I use mostly biotin and Castor oils. My regular shampoo washes them out pretty well, as well as my cheap drugstore shampoo, even it washes the oils out okay. I just wanted a clarifying shampoo for these weekly hair oil treatments. This shampoo did not wash the oil out of my hair at all! I was worried after shampoo because I didn't feel that squeaky clean feeling I expect from a clarifying shampoo, but I kept going thinking that maybe it was just more moisturizing than others. Nope. I got out of the shower, blow dried my hair, and it looks like I still have a ton of oil in my hair, probably because I do. I really don't understand how this is a clarifying shampoo, I even shampoo twice in my shower too, that's my routine I always shampoo twice but especially when I have oil in my hair. My first order of business today will be returning this thing to Ulta and getting the Ouai Detox that I should have just splurged on in the first place. Then I need to rewash and blow dry my hair again, for the second time within 24 hours which is infuriating. Add to all of that the fact that this thing doesn't have any scent that I can smell. I expect my hair care products to be highly scented, I prefer musky non floral scents but regardless it should be scented. When I stick my nose in the bottle I can vaguely smell something, but when using it in the shower and after: nothing, smells like literally nothing. And I had the same panic too with no scent so I checked and I can smell everything else just not this shampoo. 0/10 would definitely not recommend this shampoo, maybe the regular one is better, but I won't be finding out.jennifer.h

Bought this on impulse as I loved the smell. However this is amazing shampoo and leaves hair feeling really clean with a nice shine. Even better, I toned my hair recently, leaving it purple. This shampoo enabled me to remove the purple toner without damaging my hair. I had to really scrub it in and leave to sit but works a charm! I’ll admit, I was skeptical. I had their fine hair shampoo/conditioner and was thrilled how well they work. I use probably 2-4 products a day because I have a wolf cut. I dry shampoo on the 2nd day and 3rd, and ideally shower the 3rd night or 4th day. I’ve been getting by just fine double shampooing, but I felt I needed something a liiiittle heavier duty. I always see people rave about this and for 30$, I was certainly giving it the side eye. Not anymore! I am a believer in this fry shampoo. I have previously religiously bleached hair, so my mid-shaft and ends can be very sensitive to harsher cleansers. I haven’t had any issues with this product at all so far. I have an incredibly oily scalp that even with my own oils and serums, still loves to produce its own factory of oil. If you have dryer hair but still want to detox, try pre-oiling your hair and scalp a bit before a shower, I think that could help A TON! I love how this removes all of the oils and gunk without making your hair feel like legit STRAW like some detox shampoos can. Reviewers complaining that it left them MORE oily forget that *THIS IS NOT FOR DAILY USE*. It literally says that. If you’re using a detox shampoo for daily use, why? Your poor hair. Anyway, I love this. I lather before I put on and really scrub with my nails and follow up with a shampoo massager to get all the grime and oil from my scalp. I leave it on for about a minute, then I rinse. Voila, perfectly soft and fluffy hair! Following with Ouai’s fine hair conditioner and my hair is bouncy and soft. Fine hair girls know the struggle of getting any sort of bouncy volume AND softness… and this really does help. I use this right now every Sunday. I love it for getting product out of my hair on days I may have used 5 products instead of my normal 4 and I HAVE to use it after 3 days. I started noticing problems in my hair at the start of 2020. I've always had thin hair but started experiencing hair loss in mid-2020 (I've never had covid). On top of this I have greasy hair – I'm talking my hair gets greasy every single day and I've tried training it to not be, but I've had greasy hair since the beginning of time so ruling this as genetics! Since 2020 I've been on the hunt for a shampoo that can get rid of the grease and not strip my hair, suffice to say this is the one! After much research and many shampoos later, I decided to get the OUAI detox shampoo. My hair instantly feels clean as soon as I lather the shampoo on. When I rinse, my hair is squeaky clean. It air-dries nicely (straight) and doesn't have any frizz in it afterwards. My hair feels healthy and looks fuller. I use this shampoo once a week for a deep clean, it keeps my hair oil-free for a bit longer but the biggest difference is that it doesn't get as greasy as it used to with my everyday shampoo. Super bummed that this didn't work out as well for me as I though it would. For reference my hair texture is medium and straight (that good good thick asian girl hair) and I typically go 4-5 days between washes (trained my scalp decently enough to control oil because she gets *oily* ok). Not sure if I just used this wrong the first time (too much?? shouldn't have shampooed twice since I normally do that w my normal shampoo?? even tho I used less than a quarter sized amount??) but after the first use it completely stripped my scalp and make it super flaky and itchy (truly shocking given that my scalp is on the oilier side) and by the second day, my scalp was super greasy and dirty (not even dry shampoo could fix her). So bummed! Esp. since I don't really need to wash my hair/get greasy until day 4 or 5. Ever since then I haven't used it (went back to my main shampoo) but it seems like the effects still last aka my scalp/hair still gets greasy way earlier than it used to even though I've discontinued use, and I feel like i have to re-train my scalp to get to day 5 again. I'll give it another shot and use way less and only shampoo once, then maybe balance it out w my usual shampoo but for the time being this really wasn't for me. I am not sure if this specific formula has been discontinued. I really liked this formula, and never had any issues with hair loss or scalp irritation. I have oily and fine hair, and use dry shampoo daily to extend the amount of time in between washes( 3rd or 4th day). By the time hair wash day comes around, the amount of product build up is unreal, but somehow this shampoo manages to remove all of the build up. When using this shampoo after a while, I did t have to use as much dry shampoo, and extend the time in between washes to every 5 days.susanne.j
Used it twice and WOW! I have thick curly hair. 3c/4a. I always used head and shoulders to clarify because I knew it was a harsher shampoo and helped with dandruff. It worked okay but dried my hair out really bad until I decided to buy this. This shampoo left my hair SUPER shiny. My hair hasn’t had a bit of shine to it in almost 7 years. It also feels silky when I straighten it. I can tell my hair will be a lot more healthier keeping this in my routine. Can’t believe I never knew about this until now. I use once a week, followed by Olaoplex 3, then shampoo with my regular shampoo and deep condition. Overall my hair feels incredible and it doesn’t dry it out like other clarifying shampoos. Okay first and foremost, this stuff smells terrible. The scent is incredibly strong and clings to my hair when used. It does admittedly work well at clarifying hair. I used this twice a month for about a year and other than the smell, I had no real complaints. In fact, it made my hair have tons of volume. However, I feel like it should be pointed out that this product does contain Dmdm Hydantoin. This ingredient is pretty controversial at the moment in relation to hair loss. As someone suffering from telogen effluvium due to covid I don't want to take any chances on more hair loss. If they got rid of that ingredient and toned down the smell, I would absolutely go back to using this. For now though, I will have to find a different clarifying shampoo.britt

The scent smells good and fresh, just like what its made out of. The size is bigger than what I thought which was cool to see. the package came in fine and in good conditon, no leaking. I usually use this for my scalp more since thats where most of the sweat or oil gets trapped in – I have only use it twice and so far it makes my scalp feel fresh and clean. The first time i used it on my scalp, i think i applied and washed twice and that made the hair near my follicles feel kinda dry. so i guess its best to use it once only. It seems that my scalp just doesn't agree with clarifying shampoos. I've tried 2 and had the same problem: my scalp became even oilier. I think that happened because the shampoo striped down my scalp too much and it triggered it to produce more oil. with that said, it's a good quality shampoo. I like the packaging and the size of it and it did make my scalp feel fresh for a little while. Not the biggest fan of the scent but it didn't really bother me. My hair felt soft. The scent of lemongrass is heavenly to me. Not heavy at all. Other than that I have a bleached, colored, fragile hair and this shampoo performs very well considering it being so affordable and having friendly ingredients. I also had issues with dandruff that stopped once I started using Acure shampoos – great benefit to my scalp. I will definitely continue using and recommending this to others. If the world ever ran out of oil and we were faced with a National Oil Crisis.. FEAR NOT! My head could support the world and all its oil needs. Like for real- for real, I could wash in the morning and by lunch look like I was on day 3 of “no ones gonna know” dry pooing. I wanted a clarifying shampoo in my hair routine due to having oily hair and using dry shampoo sometimes as well! I was stuck between OUAI and this Paul Mitchell one. $30 vs $15. I have an oily scalp from seborrheic dermatitis and probably because it's just oily so I discovered Paul Mitchell Shampoo 2 for oily hair and it's the best. I buy a salon size at Paul Mitchell or a buy one get one at Ulta, works and lasts forever (see full review). But after living somewhere with soft water my whole life then moving to somewhere that's 100/100 on the hard water scale has been hard on my hair. I looked into Shampoo 3, which I associate with chlorine because decades ago when I was a swimmer I used this to protect my blonde hair. It was a different formula that was green then. Now my hair is dark blonde with darker roots (natural blonde) so it shows oil and buildup well. I have all kinds of filters to help with the hard water, but when it's that bad filters don't do much. This shampoo has a light blue tint and a subtle grapefruit scent. Shampoo 2 is clear with a softer lemon scent. I'm sensitive to dyes and fragrance and this doesn't bother me at all. I used this once a week and it really helps! I have so much volume after using this and my roots look great for days (I use another shampoo and wash my hair every other day). I really like this. I probably would need a purple shampoo to take the brassiness out of my blonde but I'm happy that this lets me go longer between washing my hair and does seem to remove some hard water buildup. This is drying. I just use it around my roots and then use a hair mask. If you have dry hair, then get in chlorine, then use this yes it will dry out your hair. But for my needs this has replaced shampoo 2

I came across this shampoo at a Tj Maxx and once I read the back I knew I had to take it home with me. It seemed very promising as far as detoxing the hair from product buildup. The lather is great and the smell is as well BUT even though I used conditioner afterwards my hair was stiff and hard as a board. It not only removed the product buildup but it completely stripped my hair color. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror only to see that I no longer had any dye and my grey hair made it seem as if I hadn’t dyed my hair in months. I gave it three stars because it did remove buildup but removed color as well which wasn’t stated in the description. Unless you want to strip your color I don’t recommend using it.madelene.a
I purchased the product to cut the buildup in my hair. I've tried other clarifying shampoos that work pretty good but this product goes above and beyond. My hair is bouncy again and surprisingly my color is MORE vibrant after using it. I use Redken "blondage" shampoo a couple times per week to keep my blonde hair from getting brassy and it works fantastic! I think bouncing between shampoos really "mucks up" my hair. This product has completely restored my hair back to post coloring 🙂BRS
Not for every day in my opinion. This is a cream but still pretty harsh, especially for dry, fine hair such as mine. I use this every few months to get any residue out from left-over product. Any more than that would really strip my hair too much. But keep in mind that I have really dry hair. If your hair is oily, this might be just the thing. First thing that is good is that it has dual use – either as a body wash or a shampoo. As a body wash, it lathers and cleanses as well as soften and moisturize it. It does its job well. As a shampoo, it does not lather my hair well at all. I have to put in extra to make sure it gets all the spots I want to cover. But in the end, my hair is cleansed well but not overly dry. It is lightweight and has a clear color. The first thing I noticed when I used it was that it smelled like Elmer's glue. This natural scent from the combination of the ingredients isn't overpowering but I would rather go without it. I was hoping for a longer list of beneficial ingredients that are used for this product. I was disappointed because I expected more for paying such a high price from a high company. The product needs a new and better lid. The lid can be easily broken from the way it is designed, and as mentioned from other reviews, it'd be nice to stand the container upside down leading the liquid to the lid. Overall, I do not plan on buying this again. I'm going to explore my options by looking for fragrance free shampoos and body washes sold from other companies. I have straight color treated hair with a very sensitive scalp. For many years, I have struggled with significant hair fallout. Then I read that fragrance in shampoos and conditioners could cause severe irritation to scalp skin and that prolonged irritation could also lead to increased hair fallout. So, I tried Paula's Choice All Over Hair Shampoo and the accompanying conditioner and was immediately blown away by not only how soft and manageable my hair became but also how dramatically it reduced the fallout of hair I would experience every time I would wash my hair. I went from losing huge mounds of hair every time I would shampoo my hair with fragranced products (both high end and drugstore products, you name it and I've tried it) to a small clump of hair fallout. The results have continued with continued use. I have not experienced any dryness, buildup or allergic reactions. Also, it has not stripped or faded my hair color between salon coloring appointments. I am relieved and elated to have found this product and its companion conditioner and will continue to repurchase. My only request is that a larger size be made available. This is the most amazing body wash I've ever used. I still use an antiperspirant (ik ik I'm just a sweater okay it's like the one bad thing I still use) and this All Over shampoo actually removes it from my skin. No other cleanser has ever totally taken off that cakey layer antiperspirants/deodorants leave. It doesn't strip the moisture from my skin leaving me with that rubbery feeling that most cleansers do. So I have very hard, chlorinated water in my apartment and my hair is platinum blonde. I started noticing that my hair was getting this ugly yellow tone to it and purple shampoo was not helping (I use Matrix.) I also recently started using a toning mask (Pravana.) Although those seemed to help, it would be short lived because on the days I'd wash with a moisturizing shampoo, I was noticing the yellow tones again. I went into Ulta and asked the sales associate which shampoo would be good for hard water, and she recommended this or Living Proof. I decided to go with this because it was not as expensive, and you get more product than the Living Proof kit. I have only washed with this once but let me tell you my hair looks so much BRIGHTER, and way less yellow! It also left my hair soft, clean and refreshed. My scalp feels amazing. I brought this on a trip to Phoenix, AZ to use after swimming to remove chlorine. I have bleached hair (Asian dark brunette to blonde/grey) and did not want to risk my bleached hair turning green. I buy a salon size at Paul Mitchell or a buy one get one at Ulta, works and lasts forever (see full review). But after living somewhere with soft water my whole life then moving to somewhere that's 100/100 on the hard water scale has been hard on my hair. I looked into Shampoo 3, which I associate with chlorine because decades ago when I was a swimmer I used this to protect my blonde hair. It was a different formula that was green then. Now my hair is dark blonde with darker roots (natural blonde) so it shows oil and buildup well. I have all kinds of filters to help with the hard water, but when it's that bad filters don't do much. This shampoo has a light blue tint and a subtle grapefruit scent. Shampoo 2 is clear with a softer lemon scent. I'm sensitive to dyes and fragrance and this doesn't bother me at all. I used this once a week and it really helps! I have so much volume after using this and my roots look great for days (I use another shampoo and wash my hair every other day). I really like this. I probably would need a purple shampoo to take the brassiness out of my blonde but I'm happy that this lets me go longer between washing my hair and does seem to remove some hard water buildup. This is drying. I just use it around my roots and then use a hair mask. If you have dry hair, then get in chlorine, then use this yes it will dry out your hair. But for my needs this has replaced shampoo 2

This is an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G shampoo! I have been using this product for a few weeks now. My initial purchase was for five bottles of shampoo because a review stated that the bottles were small. I found this 8 ounce bottle to be the perfect in size and below is the actual bottle measurements. Before finding about this product I had a hard time looking for a product that would help my oily and flaky scalp. I’ve used other brands and it has developed a build up on my scalp and it made it even more oily especially when I don’t wash my hair within 3 days. First time I’ve used this product I was surprised at how much you get just from a little pump! Do not use too much as it is foam! I apply a pump on my hair and the smell is amazing and notice that it worked immediately. I had bought one other Oribe product that smelled wonderful and did exactly what it was supposed to do. When I saw this shampoo I had to try it. Even if it just smelled good I would have been happy. It certainly does smell good, but it also works! My husband asked me why my hair was so shiny. I knew I could tell a difference, but had no idea it was obvious enough for others to notice. I feel like this product has changed a lot. What happened to the strong, beautiful Cote d'Azur scent? It used to smell so strongly that it would fill your whole bathroom with this gorgeous bergamot and musk aroma. It doesn't lather as well as it used to (even for a sulfate free shampoo); didn't feel like my hair was clean even after two rinses. I couldn't imagine using this if my hair was really oily. My hair was pretty smooth and my highlights looked a little brighter, but my hair was also very, very dry and lacked shine. The conditioner wasn't any better. Love this clarifying shampoo. Gets all the product buildup from my hair and scalp without stripping away my color. I use weekly to remove impurities. It lathers well if your hair is wet enough. You just have to distribute it evenly through your hair and it’ll larger up really nice.kristen.m
I have curly hair (thinning, coarse, dry but lots of volume). I got this shampoo to use as needed for those times when I've been using a lot of product and need a clean slate. So first, the bottle is small. It's not a lot for the price. However, if you use it every now and then (as I do), I think it could last a while. It's not, for me, an everyday shampoo, for its purpose or its price. Unlike what some reviewers said, it doesn't leave my hair oily. It leaves it very shiny and healthy looking. I searched for a while to find a clarifying shampoo without sulfates that wouldn't irritate my scalp or damage my hair – this fits the bill. Because it doesn't have sulfates, it doesn't suds up a lot. This is typical of this kind of product, though, and it does get your hair clean.Jaime
I normally use the Television shampoo and conditioner, but had heard about Oblivion working to remove build-up. I followed the directions carefully (wet hair, rub into the roots first, then scrub and gather the rest of the hair, wait to rinse for 1-2 minutes), and my hair felt extremely soft, clean, and light. I use various dry shampoos and hair sprays in between getting my hair colored, so this was almost like a facial for my hair. I plan to use it once every few weeks.
