Best Shaver For Ingrown Hair (2023 Update)

This is a great, Great Razor!!! It must be charged for the night or a few hours when you first get it though. You don't need to leave it plugged in though. Once it has been charged fully, you will have several days worth of power. It is very quiet, it gives a really close shave and it is really smooth on the face. In addition, it is very simple to clean. You can removed the guard and it reveals the blades of the razor. You just run some water over the blades and it removes the hair clippings.bj987keller

The Good: Great feel, grip, shave, ease of cleaning, quick charge time, trimmer is handy for sideburns to shape them up between haircuts. The Bad: I have now gone through two of these in about 2 years….the first lasted about 18 mos, the second, about 5. Problem? For whatever reason, after awhile, it will not charge. I also use shaving cream when I get out of the shower and use the razor, rinse it before, during and after use….and always and I mean always, after the period of time, you get up, plug it in, go in the shower, come out, dead. It won't charge. My guess? The Lithium Ion Batts. While ALL batteries have a lifespan, they should be much longer thant this. I rinse the head during shaving (shaving cream buildup and hair) 2-3 times while shaving paying attention to let the water drain down 90-95%….I don't think it's water intrusion….as deep as this thing goes is running it under the faucet head down? I used both the old and new charger….the new one shows all power lights on for about 2-3 seconds, goes dim, dead……there is something about these batteries that are not right….I am off to Walmart this mornign to get a 3rd in less than 3 years THIS time WITH the cheap warranty…..I have used Brauns for over 30 years and the batteries always seem to be the issue…do NOT pack them in luggage that will go in the cargo hold or you will find them dead, not chargeable when you get to your destination…this one is ONLY used at home. I take a cheap corded Braun on the road and it's about 20 years old now, still works but it's a dry shave…irritating…….I like the ability to use shaving cream for a much more comfortable shave but, this battery thing is aggravating…..over the 30 years I have gone through multiple 3, 5, 7 and 9 series razors…they ALL have battery failures eventually…so you end up buying a new one…..why? Because the other brands suck MORE. I have had Remington, Norelco (couldn't shave close with a gun to it's head), Chinese knockoffs even a small cordless from Harbor Freight that despite is size and slow speed delivered a great shave until it quit working…..it seems that if a rechargeable battery is run for 20 mins a day max, 6-7 days a week, it SHOULD last more than 6 months….never dropped, never abused, always left open on the counter after rinsing to let the head and razor dry after separated….still died….ridiculous…..I only hope the warranty is worth something when the next one croaks….no warning either….just dies…..still the best brand overall….Terry

I've never really liked wet dry shavers but this one changed my mind. it shaves flawless and leaves you face as smooth as using a traditional razor. i love that it's wireless and it charges very quickly and stays charged for a great amount of time. and cleaning is a breeze with the included brush and removable heads. you can also remove the head and run it under water for a deep clean. all around this is and excellent shaver.James

I really love this shaver. After watching many positive review videos and my old shaver died, I bought this and am really impressed. You can shave with or without shaving gel/cream. The shaver gets close but not as close as other shavers, however it is more than close enough for a professional work environment. The biggest plus is that it is extremely safe, and I have been using for over a month and not one skin irritation or nick. Works great on scalp for shaving head also. Is a little slower than shaving with a regular multiblade razor and not as close, but much safer and no shaving cream needed.MojoBBQ

This is the second OneBlade I have owned. As a stand alone, this is a good trimmer, especially for shorter length trimming. I like most of the new design, especially that the handle is slimmer with a better grip. However when compared to the last model, it falls short in allowable max trimming length and ease of adjustment. The reason is due to the rotating blade head. This new feature is not bad to have, though with the narrow blade, I've never felt the need for it. The rotation doesnt allow for a cap like the previous model, which had a simple dial to adjust length, all the way up to 9. This blade has an attachment which you need to rotate with your thumb. It's not the smoothest or easiest operation. It goes up to 5mm, which isn't bad for a face trimmer, but less than the previous. Overall, this is a solid trimmer which will get the job done well. I dont feel the blade rotation is better than an easier and longer guard adjustment.Jeremy O

This shaver is very impressive. I charged it for a couple hours and decided to give it a go on my 4 day stubble. It's worked like a dream, gives a very close shave almost as close at a razor, I was so impressed. I judge my razors based on how well i can get nice clean lines on my goatee and sideburns and this passed both tests! My goatee looks great and my sideburn lines are crisp and clean. Everything you need to keep your self groomed is included in this great little package. It's nice and compact and would be perfect to travel with. It's also rechargeable! Nothing worse than a company praying you don’t read the smaller text. I was unfortunate enough to buy in store to find out that the 100% waterproof is only for cleaning. Very annoying- but maybe passable if its use was good? Absolutely not. Took forever to get anything off my face which a normal razor could have done 3 times over in the time I tried to use this- and my face still isn’t properly shaven. I’d get a refund but I didn’t realize how truly bad this product would be Stick to shaving normally if possible or buy a better razor thats TRULY WATERPROOF if thats what you’re looking forCyrus

This is my first experience with a Braun razor. I wear a beard, but still need to keep my neck & cheeks nice and neat. I shaved with a hand razor for years, it was fine. I was interested in a foil razor, but wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep my definition lines on my face without destroying them. However, a friend of mine who also sports a beard has used a Braun for years, no issues. For the price I paid for this razor, I thought I'd try. Not sure why this little razor isn't getting more love, maybe people just don't know how to shave. It works darn good. I can shave closer & faster than I can with a blade, no irritation, and it does not destroy my beard lines. I can't imagine how good your expensive models shave, this little guy works well. Only wish I could use with a cord, but that's not a deal breaker. Don't ignore this razor!mike6000

There was nothing at all to dislike about this product. I found it to be an amazing piece of machinery. You see I have Parkinson's disease. It eventually became impossible for me to use standard blade razor because I could not twist my wrist to the angles needed to save the contours of my face at the jawline on the sides of my face. This razor is lightweight definitely waterproof and easily glides over all the contours of my face with its pivoting blades. Or I also like to point out that it was easy for me to hold because of the texture of the outside casing of the razor itself you see I have no strength in my hands either. I promise that this razor gives just as close a shave as a standard triple Blade razor.Philip

Cost was just great on this purchase and the reason for purchasing two, one for myself and one for my son! I have experienced the single head of the Bliss for a while and when I saw the cost of the double head, thought I couldn't miss, plus I needed a birthday gift for him! The double head is much better and the recharging capability is absolutely fabulous! Saves switching batteries like I have had to do often on the single head. I purchased this shaver 07/09/2022. i took it home and started charging it, I couldn't wait to try it out so I used it in cord mode. I have tried the Mach 5 and a Braun version. While the Mach 5 produces a good close shave, it takes me 20 to 30 minutes of shaving to achieve that. Plus I have to use a lubricant while shaving to achieve the best shave. I used this new Babyliss shaver with no lubricant on my head and it literally took less than 3 minutes and it's the best shave I've had. it's nice and rugged metal, all others I have used have been plastic. It has definitely been the cheapest shaver I have tried. I was skeptical from reading some of the reviews, I do have more of a coarse hair which one of the reviews mentions getting results from. If you have coarse hair and want a great shave, I totally recommend this shaver! I'm not saying it won't do fine hair, I am just not a good test for that.Chris M.

Received this for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. First of all the box for this one looks so nice! Packaging was down really well and with care. This is my first time I try an electronic shaver my self. First off love the gold color on it mm it was pretty smooth easy to use honestly. I love love love this razor! After my favorite razor broke I’ve been on the hunt for a new one and so far this one is my favorite! The light alone makes this razor amazing and worth it as it helps me see everything I usually can’t! The cut is nice and keeps my legs smooth. The only complaint is sometimes it takes a few passes to get stubborn hairs but I can over look it as the light really helps keep an eye on them to make sure you finally get them. For the people complaining about the " Knicks ", you literally get cuts from any razor. This is a trimmer, not a straight head. I have very thick dark hair and this thing is a godsend! My hair literally grows back after a singular chill, and tbh it's painful to have to shave every. Single. Day. This is wonderful for a quick dry shave especially for holes in jeans ;). So if first impressions were everything I would give this five *****. The box arrives cute and lush. It's pink, it's bold, it has tissue paper. It's so extra for a razor and I loved it. It is usb charge and charges fairly quickly. The size is great for travel, work, school, your purse, locker, overnight bag, or car. It's small and compact. I do wish it had a little carry bag for all the extra bits and cord. This is something I would keep in my car or at work for those after work emergencies. The number 1 recommendation would be for preteens. I ran it back and forth, up and down and every which way with no mercy and barely even got a white line of dry skin. Meaning it wont nick your new to puberty early learner that just wants to fit in. That is who this is best for they have minimal body hair and it's not as determined as adult body hair can be. That being said my body hair is on the fortunate side of not a lot, not very dark and normally not very stubborn. The reason I can confidently say it won't cut you is because I literally had to scrub myself with the razor to see progress. It takes several trips over one spot to clear it. It won't cut you but it is also not for winter clearing or anything more than a quick touch up for many. Unfortunately even with my short blonde minimal arm hair it was several passes. It does work to some extent but it takes several passes even on a fresh charge. So great for preteens and touch ups but not your every day razor except for areas you don't want to risk injury because it won't hurt you.Tbird

After all the hype that I read and watched online, I find it difficult to believe that this product is as popular as it appears to be. When you run an electric razor over the same area up to 10 times and your whiskers are all still there…. then there is a problem somewhere. I made sure to apply light pressure and hold the product at the proper angle (as per the instructions) and the the only difference was chaffed skin. This product did even worse on my neck. None of the whiskers were cut and I had what looked (and felt) like burn marks on my throat. This is not the most expensive electric razor on the market, by far. But it's not cheap either. It has a very lightweight "cheap feel" to it. I don't care what a razor looks like, or feels like in my hand. Those are non-issues with me. As long as the product works, I honestly don't care. That being said, this razor is poorly designed. It looks and feels like you're shaving with a 3 1/2 inch section of two-by-four. That and the lackluster color scheme makes this thing about as ugly as my 6th grade English teacher.mr.sleeve

In the barber trade, Andis and Wahl are the big names in clippers shavers. When it comes to tools for finishing fades, the Andis Profoil and Wahl Shaver Shaper are the benchmarks. I bought the Andis because I like the way the shaver blades are staggered. The performance is outstanding. You shave as close as you want. But I'd have to caution anyone using this tool not to bear down hard because you'll be pushing the blades with far too much force against the foil which will wear down the foil and blades prematurely and might even produce a razor burn. Just take it easy and you'll have great results in short order.7373markh

If you’re a bald man with a beard myself then this is a great product to have! This is more of a “finishing” product. All you have to do is get your head down to stubble and and go over it with this and bam no hair left. It’s also great for lining up your beard. The only negative I would have to say is that I tend to go through the foil replacements quite a bit because I use mine so much but you have to realize it’s foil and isn’t made to last forever. This razer/trimmer combo is a great concept. It's a little bulky at first feel but doesn't really make a impact, just takes a few uses to get used to. The trimmer side has an adjustable guard that I found more than suitable for my goatee length. When using guard I had no issues with it. When I took guard off to trim the beard down to a stubble so I could shave it with the razor it snagged some hairs for some reason. The razor shaved very comfortable and smoothly. Overall I love this concept and it makes for a great addition to the travel bag.iamharv

I love a good gadget and this one fits the bill. Schick makes a good razor. I get a nice smooth shave with just wet skin and soap on my neck. I also have beard that my wife likes to be well trimmed, shaped and groomed. The razor gives me no nicks and cuts. The other side is a trimmer that has a few length settings with the guard. I used it to trim back my bushy eyebrows and it did a good job. I also removed the guard and used the clipper by itself to shape my beard edging and it did a good job, not a great job but definitely a good job…Given the compact and lightweight size of this thing, the fact that the clipper/trimmer does any good is a pleasant surprise. When I need to do a big trimming job, I need to break out the official plug in clippers but for the in between jobs, this is perfect! It's also covered in silicone so it's easy to grip. This Schick Groomer Razor is a game changer when it comes to shaving. I am impressed with how gentle it is on my skin, I didn't get an nicks/cuts or irritation after use. The double use end is the BEST feature, I can wet/dry shave or use the trimmer and get the desired results I need. The Schick Groomer Razor has a GREAT design, very easy to use and extremely convenient. I no longer need two products for shaving/trimming my beard/mustache I now use the Schick Groomer Razor and again I am COMPLELTY satisfied with it. The cool look and soft handle is a pls as well. Well made, as advertised. In using it I am comparing it to Gilette Fusion 5 which I've been using for some time. 1. Handle is way slippery when using in shower. Big defect. Needs some kind of rubberized band to help hold it when hands are slippery with Cremo. 2. Difficult to expose the extra back-facing blade when razor is wet and in use. And that little blade doesn't seem to add much to the effect of the regular blades. 3. While the razor pivots up and down, it has almost no side-to-side movement, which is present in the Gillette razor, and helps with angles under chin, etc. Overall a well-made tool that has too many design defects to become my everyday razor.Tony

After attempting to shave with this razor and the Cremo Shave Cream, I have to, sadly, give my experiences very low marks. The balance of the razor is very nice. The handle, however, has almost zero grip and is very slippery if your hands are wet. It took me a lot longer to shave since I needed to re-scrape several times to remove my stubble down to a smooth feel of skin. The "Trim" blade is very cumbersome to open and close, too. If anyone at Cremo is actually reading this, I'd like to return my entire purchase for a Refund! I have gone back to using my trusty old Mach 3 for my facial grooming needs.Billyjoejimbob

The actual razor handle is well finished and feels good to hold. The actual razor blades seems to be the same design as Wilkinson Sword and Schlick razor heads. Difficult to tell if the steel is different or if the lubricant is different between the three brands. They probably come out of the same factory in China! However, the Cremo blades do feel good and it remains to be seen how long they last.Martino

If you shave your head then you need this item. It gives a razor blade cut without the added worry of cuts on your shiny dome. Your head literally looks polished when you are done so if your aren’t into that then this shaver is not for you. They said in the directions it may take some time getting your skin used to it. For me personally it never bothered my head at all in fact it made the bumps clear up. Also in the directions it says clean well during and after use. I do this religiously and so far I’m on my original blades. It did take once or twice to get comfortable using it because it’s kind of top heavy compared to an old two bladed razor but after a couple of uses I was an old hand. I have found it is best to use small circles and rinse it very 1/4 of your head. This is a tremendously awesome item. I bet this is what famous bald people use.Cynnamon S.

Purchased this hoping to find a quick and easy alternative to only shaving with a blade. Couldn’t wait to try it as soon as it was delivered. It far surpassed my expectations in closeness and comfort on every part of my head, UNTIL… I got to the base of my neck… The included Forte blade chewed my neck up in a way I didn’t know was possible with an electric razor. To the point that my shirt collars had blood on them for a few days. After my neck healed up I decided to give it another try in case I was using too much pressure the first time. Unfortunately I experienced the same results on my neck. I didn’t think I had sensitive skin. I shave my head against the grain with a blade a few times a week and never get razor burn. Decided to give this shaver one more try so I purchased the Baron blade for sensitive skin hoping this would solve the issue. Fortunately, it did and I now love the Platinum Pro. Zero pain or discomfort after using the Baron. If you are still on the fence about purchasing, don’t hesitate. Super close shave, very convenient and easy to use. If you think there might be even a slight chance you have sensitive skin though, get the Baron blade. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is I wish you could choose which blades you wanted in the initial purchase. Other than that, I give the Platinum Pro with the Baron blade 5 stars! At first I thought this would be a gimmick type of purchase. But instead I was pleasantly surprised how nicely designed and effective this shaver really is. The blades cut with accuracy and are very smooth on my scalp. With small circular motions the hair just disappears. The shave is also much closer than I figured it would be which is a huge plus. The battery life is long and visible with the digital display on top. It's easy to rinse with the included rinse stand and just as easy to access the blade compartment for additional rinsing. The only set back is the cost of replacing the blades. That will cost as much as the shaver in a years time. So it is yet to be determined if I continue to purchase them long term. There is NO charging base, only a plug in wall charger. When I called customer service they could not tell me if the replacement item they are sending will actually be the two head shaver with a charging base. ((Why?!?)) Bought for in store pick-up. I was provided a completely different razor that does not come with a base. The color around the button is solid pink and not white. And it has a dofferent head. All other stores sell that version along with the one advertised here. The employee berated my husband telling him he does not know anything that this is the new and improved model she provided us in our order. That it does not matter that it does not come with a base or that the head only has a single blade. Tried to shove a razor that elsewhere sells down my hsubands throat for $10 that does not match the product they list here (elsewhwre also sells this razor and it is the same price). Just lost a long time customer. Do not try to pawn off cheap products by advertising something else and stating what you are giving them is just a new version (when it is not.)SarHD

I came to this after a number of years using other brands. My last razor — a triple-headed foil — had provided good service but the rechargeable battery was dying and it was utterly dreadful in one respect: it had a habit of missing fine, fair and hard-to-see hairs on my neck until they were too long to fail to notice and I was able to take the trimmer to them. So this was chosen after quite a bit of research. I wanted great battery life and good performance on long hairs, but I also wanted the otherwise extremely close shave my old electric razor gave me. Like they say, two out of three ain't bad. The best points: it has yet to miss a long hair and battery life is excellent. The charge time is wonderful too. Less good: I was excited to try wet-shaving with it. The plus side: it definitely works. The downside: dry shaving definitely gives closer results. The extremely down-side: while shaving in the shower is definitely a novelty, the lack of mirrors in my shower is a bit of a barrier: I can't see what I'm doing, so I have to rely on touch, and it seems that I can't do a good enough job that I don't have to complete the job after I'm out of the shower (and once the bathroom mirror's unfogged!) The closeness of the shave is a bit of an issue for me. My first use of the shaver left me disappointed. Subsequently, I've discovered that I can get nearly as good results as my old shaver but only if I go over and over my skin more than I ever previously had to: it takes me a good 5 minutes to shave, nearly twice what it used to. But you know what? I can live with it. The shaver is much more comfortable, much quieter (I initially wondered if the blades had been separately packed and I needed to install them, it was so quiet!) and although it's not quite as close a shave as I'd got used to, the old shaver often left me feeling like I'd lost a layer of skin and sometimes even drew blood. So, on balance, this is a pretty good shaver. It's easy to use, the wettable qualities certainly make it easy to clean (and maybe some more experimentation with shaving gels will improve my experience in the wet-shaving department — I wouldn't rule it out!) although cleaning the blades individually is a little fiddly for my fumble-fingers, that's not something that has to be done daily so I can cope with that too. I like the design, it's comfortable to hold. It loses a star for the terrible trimmer but the main heads work so well I don't need it!timft

I don't know how long I've had this shaver, but I bought it from Target several years ago. I've replaced the blades annually over the course of my ownership and even went several years with a full beard and didn't use the shaver. This is really a practical and well-designed shaver. I recently considered buying a new Norelco shaver because I got rid of my beard and the fact is, this one does a great job. I read so many negative reviews about razors and I don't know what their issues are, but this is just descent razor that does the job. This razor is exactly what I wanted. It provides a great shave and is solidly built. I have had a model of a razor of this style since I first started shaving in 1976. I needed a new one and was afraid it might not be built to last as some things these days are. I was very happy to find that this razor is every bit as well built. When I was introduced to shaving, I tried my Dad's Sunbeam, Remington foil and a DE analog. I ended up doing the DE and got tired of nicks and cuts and skin irritation. in 1972, I started an almost 50 year relationship with Norelco "rotary" products. I went as high as $200+ in that line and it seems they have plateaued as far as technology advances are concerned. I was fed up with the poor quality of replacement blades available today, so I began a search for a replacement shaver. After reading numerous reviews, mostly pro, I decided to give the Arc5 a shot. All I can say is if you find yourself in my spot, do not hesitate. Get this shaver with the cleaning/charging unit, STAT! PROS: The closest shave I've gotten, next to a razor, EVER. Did NOT irritate my skin (I have sensitive skin) Larger head > shorter shave time Flex head follows your facial contours (jaw line, neck, etc.) Beard "sensor" adjusts to your beard's current length. Trimmer does a good job. Shaver has a "built-in" cleaning function, which you can use if you're travelling, or in between "tank" cleanings. Head size and shaving method delivers a faster shave. The cleaning/charging base has a "Dry/charge" function. CONS: Price of replacement heads and cleaning solution concentrate. I got this in anticipation of my upcoming birthday (thank you, honey!) and read the manual. I HAD to check the unit out, so I put some pre-shave lotion on and charged the shaver. Some people complain about the size of the shaver. It really is comparable to the Norelco I was using, but the shape of the head is what speeds your shave along. (It covers more territory). Since there is usually a break-in time for new shaving methods, I expect my shaves to improve over the next week. I used primarily an up and down motion on my face, then I changed direction and orientation on my chin and neck. One complaint I avoided is on my upper lip I have a moustache, so I didn't have a problem with trying to get a close shave there. After finishing and evaluating the shave quality, I took the head off, and rinsed it and the shaver under the tap. Then, I wiped excess water off both and reassembled the unit and dropped it into the cleaning/charging base and put it on dry. I haven't used the cleaning function of the tank yet, but will update my review after I've done so. For things like shaving my ears, I have a companion Panasonic trimmer that I use for things no shaver can do. Summary: Get one! You have 30 days to decide whether you want to keep it.RubberToe

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this razor. after a month using every other day I havent experienced any of the negatives I read about. I use it on my head and neck below my beard. I found if I use it every other day or 3rd day on my head it shaves easy and as smooth as a razor. Like all electric razors it does not do well with long hair. the only draw back i have is the razor head is large. Which helps speed up the process doing my whole head but little difficult around the top of my ear to sideburn section. I still think its best razor I have ever used in 20 years though. The charging/cleaning station is so nice. Yea it can be a little loud on the cleaning portion but its the razor turning on and off so what's the difference when you use it? Travel case and option to still sharge it with just the cord is well thought out. Mean I dont have to lug the station with me when I go away for a week. But after 20 use Im still at 80 to 85 percent So i likely wouldnt need to charge it anyway.Abult

I was very hesitant to try an electric razor, considering my beard is full and thick and grows quickly. I had been using a DE razor and wet shaving for the last few years. I tired of the time and blood. I researched the closest cutting electric razor sand this one seemed to be among the best. Turns out that I like it even more than I had hoped. It shaves close and quickly. It allows me to shave daily or go 3 days and handles both situations with comfort. Been using for about a month and I will never go back to blades and cream and the hassle. If I'm careful and focused this razor is basically as close a blade. A solid shave takes under 4 minutes and I experience no issues at all even with somewhat sensitive skin. If you're considering an electric razor, I'd start right here. I want to love all of the manscaped so bad. What I do love, is the blade and how it does not Knick or cut you. I’m a woman, I use it and my husband uses it and we both like that feature.
That is the only reason why it’s getting 1 star and not 5.

What is REALLY lame about the rest of it is the battery life and speed/ability to cut through course hair. It takes about 5+ hours to charge, and once it is charged you have about 2 mins of usage until the motor slows down and your battery life light is back to red. And yes I did actually time it all. SUPER LAME!!

Thing worked fine for a while, until it sliced my coin purse open. The “skinsafe” cutting head sliced me open like a razor knife. Wrote to customer service about it, their response was to offer a replacement head. Thanks but no thanks.
Then my trimmer became possessed. It would turn itself on and off randomly. It woke me up one night buzzing away after it had jumped off the counter onto the tile floor. I turned it off only to have it turn back on again seconds later. Tried plugging it into the charger, no dice. Still turned itself on. So I took the head off it and left it in the sink bowl so it couldn’t damage anything else.
Customer service offered a free replacement. I accepted and gave my mailing address. They sent me a replacement CUTTING HEAD. FOR THE TRIMMER I CANT EVEN USE ANYMORE.

It stopped working after less than 15 uses. I use it as intended, but also on my head if my fuzz gets to long for a Bic. First of all, I think a handheld Bic is safer, iv cut myself dozens of with this, and second it broke after a dozen of so uses. It is supposed to under warranty, but when I emailed I said if it's not covered under warranty and this is the quality of product I can expect, I wish to cancel all subscriptions. They canceled all subscriptions. Just shows that they don't even stand behind their own product.michael walker

Another great rotary in Philips' lineup. This series does solve the issue of many complaints regarding the detachable trimmer and heads of other Philips shavers – it has the traditional flip-top head and pop-up trimmer. This adds to the bulk of the shaver, body and head, but precludes having to keep track of a separate trimmer and remove the head for cleaning, and it works reasonably well, although for me the trimmer isn't quite as effective as the SmartClick attachments for the Series 9000 shavers. The ComfortGlide Rings really are effective, and provide a frictionless shave, although in this model they are slightly larger than the Anti-Friction rings of the S7940 for example, and require some maneuvering to get around tight areas. The Quick Clean pods use the same cleaning solution as the SmartClean cartridges for the SmartClean stations, which is excellent for cleaning and lubricating the shaver. The Quick Clean Pod is unpowered however, and uses the shaver's power, reducing it by about 1 percent per cleaning, although on a positive note doesn't require cords or cables and is more compact – actually usable for travel. The GroomTribe app is the Achilles Heel of all these Bluetooth shavers, and in particular this model (S7782), because there's no information regarding this particular shaver – the app seems exclusively to recognize only the S7940 shaver. On the plus side, the S7782 will connect, and it does record the shaving time and the percentage of rotation (which improves shaving efficiency), although the motion sensor algorithm in the shaver appears not to recognize the correct rotational movement about half the time. The good news is you don't actually need the app, and this shaver has an LED screen that provides all the essential information about the shaver, including battery life, cleaning information and the previously mentioned inaccurate rotation statistics. The shaving heads (SH71/52) only have a single cutting ring, but actually are comfortable and provide a very close shave. Overall, an excellent rotary from Philips, that provides a close, comfortable shave, warts and all, with the potential to improve with software updates to the app. Recommended.S7782

The Norelco S7000 is a very great shaver and I do recommend this electric shaver to all men especially men with sensitive skin which I have and I’m 50 years old and I have been searching for a shaver electric or not and it will not make my neck red or razor bumps. The reason why I’m giving my purchase review is because it came with a defective battery it won’t hold a charge for that long as Norelco says that it should. So I contacted the manufacture and told them of this and they mailed me a replacement shaver of the same type and the replacement does hold a charge unlike the first one that I bought. And if you have sensitive scan on your neck and when you shave you get a red neck from a razor and bumps then you really need to buy either the S7000 or the S9000 cause I can shave dry and I get awesome results and no redness or bumps and you would want to get the electric Norelco shaver that you can clean it using a cleaning pod. I will never go back to razor’s ever again and when I have wore it out I will buy another one. I did buy the S9000 because it comes with double the blades but either electric shaver will give you a very smooth clean shave.Baylein

I grew up with and have used Norelco rotary shavers and body groom tools all my adult life. My old one, probably close to 20 years now, still works but there is no availability of replacement heads anymore and some wear finally. This is an excellent shaver and I am very happy I got it. I considered the 3000 and 5000 series, but 3000 seems to use lower end heads, and while the 5000 uses the same as this, the hard travel case is essential to me and purchased as a separate accessory brings the cost close enough that it was worth it to just get the higher end kit. The shave is great; I haven't yet tried out the cleaning pod. The shaver cleans very well under running water following the instructions. I also have some extras from my previous Philips/Norelco products that I use with this, such as combs, cleaning brushes and a spare charger.Chris_P

I just recently decided to give into my baldness and started shaving my head. Electric razors are great, when someone else is operating it on you. Razor razors don't get everywhere and tend to trim the bumps as well as the hair. So I saw this. Got it. Tried it. It is FUN to use. Easy to use. Does a superb job! My only wish is that it came with a brush to clean the head as it fills up quickly with stubble. I use the one from my electric razor, which for some reason doesn't feel right doing. Point is, the HeadBlade is really easy to use. If you're shaving down this is by far the best option for you. It's small, ergonomic, and it does a great job but the best benefit is that you can use it very easily in the shower without making a mess in front of the sink.Once you get used to it, having a shaved head is great and pretty low maintenance. But, to getting to that stage can be a PITA. You have to stand in front of the mirror, soap up and use a handled razor and move the handle at a bunch of awkward angles to avoid nicks. Remember when you used to have hair and you put a little soap on your head and washed your hair? Quick and easy by comparison.Well, this little razor gets you about as close to that hair-washing experience as you can get without having hair. I used to do the hand razor in front of the mirror at the gym. It was a messy ordeal and took too long. Now with the HeadBlade I use some sudsy body wash/shave cream (like Nivea or HeadBlade's own), get in the shower, soap up, and run the HeadBlade all over my melon. Takes about three minutes. I then do a little cleanup in the mirror and I'm off. This took a few tries to get the process down but now that I do it regularly it is much faster and cleaner.Bottom line, if you shave your head you should get this. I’ve used Headblade3 for at least 13 years and absolutely refused to consider using anything else Headblade had to offer especially after no longer producing the Headblade3! I was just about to order a electric shaver to use Until they sent me this Moto Razor to try!! It’s the absolute closest and smoothest shave I’ve ever had!! And not one Cut Or nick!! I have used a chargeable electric shaver for years to shave my legs because I don't see well in the shower without my eye glasses and was tired of nicking myself every time I shaved. My old electric shaver still works great, but I needed a new shaver that would be compatible with the outlets in Europe as I soon will be taking a trip there. I saw this battery operated shaver on several websites, but was hesitant to purchase it after reading some of the reviews. I decided to buy it and give it a try. Last night I used it for the first time and was very impressed with the results. I only wish I had purchased one years sooner! It is so simple, but cute in design! I love the white and fushia color. And changing the batteries is a breeze because you don't even need a screw driver! It's small and will be easy to pack. As for shaving-I thought it did an awesome job. I did not have any cuts or scrapes as some reviewers experienced. Obviously, it doesn't shave as close as a traditional razor would, but it's close enough that I wouldn't hesitate to wear shorts or capris after shaving with it. I am so impressed with this Little shaver. I have a broken foot, and crushed anke, so shaving in a shower chair is so difficult. It also takes so long, you run out of hot water. That's why I got this Remington, so I could dry shave in my comfy chair, where I'm pretty much stuck. This is seriously a great buy. My legs were like hairy, man legs, so the trimmer was a very awesome, useful feature. The price makes it even more amazing. I thought because it was so inexpensive, it might not work very well. Because my legs were so hairy, and disgusting, and making me crazy, I chanced it. I am so freaking glad I did. Whew! Personally, I'm not a bald shaver. I get razor bumps super fast no matter what I do. So this shaver is perfect for me. It gets my hairs to a stubby point which I don't mind. NO RAZOR BUMPS FOR ME! Woohoo! Only thing that caught me was the warning label from California saying that the materials it's made with is known to cause cancer. I tried looking into it but it's really complicated, so that's the only thing that makes me leery. Ulta doesn't mention the label anywhere before purchase online. I do keep it put away incase it has the potential to emit silent chemicals into the air. Other than that, if you have sensitive skin like myself and shaving typically sucks for you, I highly recommend this. Be sure to read the instructions. You can't leave the batteries in and have to keep it clean.Mimi

I am a woman who had been going to a barber since 2019, as I wear my hair extremely short, funky, shaved. Unfortunately then there was the coronavirus, so I did not get my hair done for 15 months! When I was introduced to shaving, I tried my Dad's Sunbeam, Remington foil and a DE analog. I ended up doing the DE and got tired of nicks and cuts and skin irritation. in 1972, I started an almost 50 year relationship with Norelco "rotary" products. I went as high as $200+ in that line and it seems they have plateaued as far as technology advances are concerned. I was fed up with the poor quality of replacement blades available today, so I began a search for a replacement shaver. After reading numerous reviews, mostly pro, I decided to give the Arc5 a shot. All I can say is if you find yourself in my spot, do not hesitate. Get this shaver with the cleaning/charging unit, STAT! PROS: The closest shave I've gotten, next to a razor, EVER. Did NOT irritate my skin (I have sensitive skin) Larger head > shorter shave time Flex head follows your facial contours (jaw line, neck, etc.) Beard "sensor" adjusts to your beard's current length. Trimmer does a good job. Shaver has a "built-in" cleaning function, which you can use if you're travelling, or in between "tank" cleanings. Head size and shaving method delivers a faster shave. The cleaning/charging base has a "Dry/charge" function. CONS: Price of replacement heads and cleaning solution concentrate. I got this in anticipation of my upcoming birthday (thank you, honey!) and read the manual. I HAD to check the unit out, so I put some pre-shave lotion on and charged the shaver. Some people complain about the size of the shaver. It really is comparable to the Norelco I was using, but the shape of the head is what speeds your shave along. (It covers more territory). Since there is usually a break-in time for new shaving methods, I expect my shaves to improve over the next week. I used primarily an up and down motion on my face, then I changed direction and orientation on my chin and neck. One complaint I avoided is on my upper lip I have a moustache, so I didn't have a problem with trying to get a close shave there. After finishing and evaluating the shave quality, I took the head off, and rinsed it and the shaver under the tap. Then, I wiped excess water off both and reassembled the unit and dropped it into the cleaning/charging base and put it on dry. I haven't used the cleaning function of the tank yet, but will update my review after I've done so. For things like shaving my ears, I have a companion Panasonic trimmer that I use for things no shaver can do. Summary: Get one! You have 30 days to decide whether you want to keep it.RubberToe

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this razor. after a month using every other day I havent experienced any of the negatives I read about. I use it on my head and neck below my beard. I found if I use it every other day or 3rd day on my head it shaves easy and as smooth as a razor. Like all electric razors it does not do well with long hair. the only draw back i have is the razor head is large. Which helps speed up the process doing my whole head but little difficult around the top of my ear to sideburn section. I still think its best razor I have ever used in 20 years though. The charging/cleaning station is so nice. Yea it can be a little loud on the cleaning portion but its the razor turning on and off so what's the difference when you use it? Travel case and option to still sharge it with just the cord is well thought out. Mean I dont have to lug the station with me when I go away for a week. But after 20 use Im still at 80 to 85 percent So i likely wouldnt need to charge it anyway.Abult

I was very hesitant to try an electric razor, considering my beard is full and thick and grows quickly. I had been using a DE razor and wet shaving for the last few years. I tired of the time and blood. I researched the closest cutting electric razor sand this one seemed to be among the best. Turns out that I like it even more than I had hoped. It shaves close and quickly. It allows me to shave daily or go 3 days and handles both situations with comfort. Been using for about a month and I will never go back to blades and cream and the hassle. If I'm careful and focused this razor is basically as close a blade. A solid shave takes under 4 minutes and I experience no issues at all even with somewhat sensitive skin. If you're considering an electric razor, I'd start right here. The closeness, comfort, and convenience will truly change your mornings.Berg

I have had electric shavers, ever since I started shaving, and have noticed that the Philips brand, has always been one of the best ones. The shaver I had before getting this Philips Norelco CareTouch, was an off-brand, and it constantly felt too slow and ripped the hair out when it got a few days old. This Norelco CareTouch is WAY better, and cuts it, not ripping it out. The speed of the blades makes a big difference, as this one sounds like they spin faster than my previous one. The space between the blade and the protective cover is the right gap, because it doesn’t scratch my skin or make it red. The trade-off is that it is not going to be an EXTREMELY close shave, but for me, it is perfect. I do not have coarse whiskers, so that too-close shave is not what I want. I like it when the shave is cutting hair, not scraping the surface of my skin over and over. I do a dry shave, but it does have the capability for a wet or dry shave, so I will be trying this in the shower. I would imagine it gives an even smoother shave, at that point. The balance of the shaver is pretty nice. The button is placed far enough away from where you place your thumb, that it will not inadvertently shut off, like my previous off-brand shaver lacked. I use my shaver every other day or 2, ever since Covid-times, but normally did it every morning. The battery life in this shaver is 60 minutes of use on a 1-hour charge, which ends up bring ~20 shaves. Well, I shave about half as much, as I only get hair like a Fu Manchu, so I would get about 40 shaves out of it, and then add in the “every other day,” it will get me through ~80 days. I charged it fully, so we will see how long it truly lasts. Blades definitely go bad before the shaver/battery, so the fact that there are self-sharpening blades, is awesome. If you need to replace the blades, it is “Philips Norelco Shaving Heads for Shaver Series 3000.” There is a built-in trimmer for sideburns, which I use, because I cut my own hair, but cannot get close enough with the hair trimmer, for the back end of my hairline, and this is very good for that too. The site shows in the specs, that it has NO travel pouch, but there is a case with a zipper, which I would classify it as a travel pouch. I just keep mine in the drawer, with the top cap on, so I won’t be using the travel case all that often. Overall, I like it, and it is far better than my previous model. The first thing I noticed was the main power button. From past experiences, this button design is a big deal to me. It's sturdy and there's no doubt if I'm pressing on it. The shave was quite smooth and my skin actually looks healthier; an added hidden benefit perhaps? I have sensitive, fair skin and so after shaving, I didn't have any blotchy skin, nor was it obvious that I had shaved, except of course for the smooth, clean just shaved look. I received compliments on my skin after using the new shaver. The charge is quick for a full charge, but if you are in a pinch and just need a one time shave until you can charge it again, you can simply plug it in for about 5 minutes or more if you need a quick shave. I don't have a mustache or sideburns and have longish hair on my head so don't really need the trimmer and for that reason, can't give a review on that part of the razor. The razor comes with a protective cap and a storage pouch to protect from dust. Cleaning is simple since it's a wet/dry razor and you can simply pop the top of he razor open and rinse under warm water and it's important to let air dry and not rub paper towels on it because the tiny lint can get trapped in the blades and cause it to not give a smooth shave or it may interfere with the use of the product and damage it. After it's been air dried you can simply close the top and store. it's water proofed so no need to worry you may cause water damage. The sound the razor makes while it's in use isn't loud so that's a plus. The razor has a gripped rubber like checkered pattern on either side of the power button to allow for non slip use, but it seems like lint can and has easily accumulated there. Not a deal breaker, because droppage is a huge concern and the grip is definitely a plus, especially for those who like a wet shave, which I do not for the most part because my skin is sensitive to soaps and shaving creams. if there's an orange light flashing it means you are low in battery and time to charge. When charging the light blinks white and then all white lights will be steady and white when FULLY charged.Bubbles

The Philips Norelco Shaver of this design has been around for ages, and I can see why. I have owned several of these over the years and keep coming back to it because of its shave quality and reliability. This new design features better gripping surfaces, which improves the performance if you are using it with wet hands or in a wet area, like the shower. In addition, the 3-bar charging indicator is a really nice add–on previous versions, you would get a blinking single light when the charge was low, and more than once I would run out of juice in the middle of a shave. No longer will that happen. I just charge it when it gets down to one bar. One of my favorite features of the shaver is the side trimmer. This trimmer provides very crisp sideburn trimming and also trimming of the hair around my ears. It also works well for trimming of light nose hair. As with any new shaver, I get some irritation with the first few shaves. this is stated in the manual, and mine goes away after just a few shaves. I love the ability of this shaver to provide a close shave, even in harder to reach areas.stirfry
