Very disappointed with this item. It does clean cat messes but not dirt from carpet. Also, what is in the box is not what is pictured on the front of the box. The brush attachment shown is black with a clear front adn 3 rows of red bristles, actual attachment is all clear and has only ONE row of bristles. The attachment is also supposd to have a button to release if from the hose. There is NO button! You cannot remove it unless you pry it off with a screwdriver! The box shows a button and the instructions also show a button. You are supoosed to remove the attachment & hook the hose to the machine to run water through but you can't take the attachment off so you can't clean it. Using a screwdriver to pry it is going the break the cheap plastic attachment. I did try to contact Hoover but the bot said it was too busy and booted me off. When purchasing anything I expect to receive what is pictured on the box not some other cheap junk. Disappointed!!DawnyLouWho
Love this wet vac! We just got a new puppy and the only handheld wet vacs like the discontinued Bissell we had in the past are impossible toclean. They don’t come apart like they need to. This Hoover is bigger, but just as portable and does a MUCH better job than the handhelds. It was super easy to set up, and I can’t believe how easy it is to clean after use. The hose cleaning feature is phenomenal and is one of the main reasons I got this over the Bissell Little Green Machine. Well worth the investment to keep my carpets clean while puppy learns how to comply with socially acceptable bathroom norms. I have owned this unit for 5 years after previously owning a Bissel Little Green Machine (the Bissel nosel stopped spraying after a couple years, and unit would constantly leak). About a year ago I noticed it was getting more difficult to place the handle back in the holder (the hose did not stretch as far as it used to). I didn't think much of it, but then. Few months ago I noticed that the hose tore near the sprayer. I loved using this machine, therefore I wanted to try fixing it without having to buy another one. I used hockey tape and that seemed to do the trick. Then about a month ago, I noticed that the hose has also torn right at the base (I am unable to fix this with tape unfortunately). I wrote Hoover about this, however, I am far out of warranty, so there isn't really much they can do. Now I'm trying to decide if I should buy another one or try something new. This product is great. It puts the Shark steam cleaner to shame. Its very powerful and last quite a long time on just a cup of water. It will give you about 15-20 minutes of continuous usage. However, if you press the trigger sporadically, it can last about 30-45 minutes. The steam blast is loud and packs a punch. I use this thing to clean and sanitize everything from my bathroom to the kitchen (always sanitize the nozzle with bleach or alcohol after use to avoid cross contamination). Another great feature is all the attachments it comes with so you can steam clean almost anything. My only issue is the quality of some of the attachment. The small brushes and scrub pads aren't really reusable. After the first usage, they start to fall apart, especially the scrub pads which are excellent for cleaning your tub and tile. You can buy more attachments online, but its kind expensive costing 10 for 5. One reason I switched to steam cleaning was to save money on cleaning solutions, but if I have to constantly buy the attachments, eventually it will work out to cost more than the cleaning solutions. But I recently used the steamer to clean this very disgusting fridge in the apartment Im renting. I bought this tool to clean 1/2 grout tile floor grout. It worked great for the first 10 minutes, and it would great for the process, except it is not designed properly. I has a special small nozzle head, upon which small brush attachments are placed. There are three pieces, brush, nozzle, and nozzle attachment (to hook to hose or hose extension). The nozzle is made of thermoplastic, like the rest of the unit, except the pressure chamber cap, which is brass. The nozzle needed to be made of brass as well. The thermoplastic heats up, and a threaded piece (with o-ring) when at temperature cannot handle GENTLE scrubbing with the brush. (e.g. for the purpose it is made.) The nozzle fitting jumps the threads every time, once it heats up. So the unit is only good to use for about 10 minutes, before the nozzle gets soft from heat, and falls off constantly. If they made the nozzle out of brass, and the end piece (nozzle attach) out of metal, it would work great. But they didn't, so it is pure frustration to CONSTANTLY put the nozzle on again, and again, and again. This gets 1 star. It works great for 10 minutes, then its useless. If used with the larger attachments, it would probably be a great value; but I need it to clean grout. It says it cleans grout, but it really doesn't.MesaGuy
I've only used the MC1275 once to clean shower floor tile grout using the scrub pad attachment. I filled the steam chamber one time with distilled water, and the steam was ready in approximately 5 minutes. It was easy to control, but did a marginal job restoring the whiteness of the grout. The scrub pad itself came loose and separated completely from its plastic base in under 10 minutes. While the steamer worked as advertised, steaming cleaning the grout didn't live up to my expectations, and the scrub pad's durability was a major disappointment. The good – it produced steam reliably; control is easy to maintain. I am amazed at how effective this machine is at cleaning up even very old pet stains from carpet and mattress topper. I have two chihuahuas that occasionally barf on the bed or my carpeted bedroom floor, and sometimes they will pee too on the carpeting. I of course blot up as much as possible when this occurs but it was still gross. Not bad enough that it stank to high heaven or anything but the beige carpet looked gross with lots of little spots and definitely needed a freshening. When I first got the Little Green I used it primarily for cleaning spots on area rugs. It worked well, but always leaked every single time I used it. The suction is pretty weak for a carpet cleaner…I have even done a thorough clean of all the tubes and nozzle to make sure it was 100% clean without any blockage. After not using it for 6 months (and misplacing the water nozzle and suction brush during a move) I replaced both items through the Bissell site. I once again made sure all compartments were clean in the machine before use. Now when I use the machine the dirty water excessively leaks from the bottom (or some area at the bottom of the machine) and the leakage has gotten EXTREMELY worse. I ended up having to place the machine on a heavy duty trash bag on top of a high absorbent mat. When I use the suction, there are LITERAL BUBBLES coming from the bottom of the machine. NOTHING is going into the dirty water tank. Before anyone asks, yes the suction top on the dirty water container is closed and all items are in the proper place. So moral of the story is that instead of having dirty water in the designated tank, it is now pooling in the trash bag. After tonight I will NOT be using this product ever again. So, since receiving my Little Green Portable Carpet Cleaner, I've been busy! It cleaned my stained, oversized ottoman. We've had that ottoman since before My grandson was born; it's a family favorite. Car seat stains from transporting grand babies and teenage grandson were especially bad in the passenger and back seats of our two cars. Some stains were bad enough to need a second treatment but that's ok! Those stains are now completely gone and we've saved hundreds over having the car carpets and seats professionally cleaned. Bought this on Saturday as I have a new dog that has had a few accidents in the house, on the carpet of course! I was shocked at how quiet this machine is, no need for ear protection to use this. Has great suction power and leaves very little moisture behind, carpet dried completely in about 2 hours. Easy to clean when finished. Love the hose cleaning attachment. I added white vinegar to the final rinse when cleaning out the machine. Machine keeps the solution warm while working. Easy to set up, easy to use, and easy to clean and put away. The engineers did a great job designing this machine. Can't go wrong with a Bissell!
Works pretty decent but the heating element seems a little weak, needs an option to just heat w/o running the vacuum so you're not stuck listening to it while it warms. Would have been nice if it came w/a small separate brush for tight spaces. Suction could be a little better but overall not bad. The hose needs to be an inch longer, it's a stretch to get the head to wrap around and mount in it's holder. Did a pretty good job, although required a bunch of passes, cleaning old dirty seats in an old project car. I legit thought they were gray for the last 2.5 yrs I've owned it…
I have used this to clean wine stains and dog potty accidents. This is excellent at cleaning wine stains but I did not feel like it really penetrated down to the urine stain left by my dog. I even used the PET PRO OXY Spot & Stain Formula for Portable Carpet Cleaners and still noticed a faint urine stain afterward. I had to use a different product altogether to clean this. I am disappointed as the dog messes are the primary reason I purchased this product. Otherwise, this is easy to use and easy to clean.

The steam the machine produces is very hot and blows a very powerful stream of steam. It doesn't clean, so don't expect this to replace your cleaning regime, but with how hot the steam gets, I'm sure it will sanitize. I love all the attachments it comes with. Perfect for whatever you will use it for. The cord is long enough to work in the space your using it for and it is lightweight. It doesn't need to be filled as often as I thought. I'd still have water left in the kettle after using it all around the bathroom. I use it for when I travel mostly. It is very ease to use. Set up was simple. The amount of steam was easy to control. It has definitely met all of my expectations with flying colors. I also like the fact that it is an American made product. The warranty is also a great selling feature. Highly recommend. Update: We have had an incredible amount of rain and our "dog" room was a muddy mess. We have tile and it was covered with dried red clay mud. I purchased this steamer to use in cleaning our church. We have numerous children here on a weekly basis and are starting a preschool 4 days a week. With that many children, I was concerned about chemicals. I can clean the whole church in about 4-5 hours and only have to use chemicals in the toilets. It does take longer to clean the building the chemical free way, but I feel it's worth it.
Had a pest problem. Vapamore cleaned any remaining boric acid I had in carpet. Never again will I use boric acid. It is difficult to remove and can poison you after you think you have vacuumed it up but not all comes up even after several vacuums. Vapamore also disinfected mattress, couch, loveseat, chairs, kitchen floor, pillows, drapes, etc. Easy to maneuver the unit due to its compact size and wheels. The main arm has two easily detachable sections which elongate or shorten the sprayer to varied lengths for ease of use. The back of the unit has storage for the smaller attachments. Be careful this storage space doesn't open up while you are emptying remaining water from the unit as you could lose a few small parts down the drain. Important to read all the safety info prior to first use so you don't make a bad mistake which invalidates the warranty. Limited lifetime warranty looks pretty good. I can see myself purchasing an additional floor mop cloth at some point in the future. This cloth is easy to remove and toss in the laundry. It can get dirty quickly if you do not do your standard vacuuming of carpet prior to steam disinfection. The hot steam dried quickly from upholstery. Nothing was left sopping wet. We are an older, retired couple who absolutely LOVE our Bissell Spot Clean carpet and upholstery scrubber. For us it's a life saver in the figurative sense. It was well worth every penny we paid for it and it paid for itself the 2nd time we used it. When we bought our home going on Nov. 29, 2011 there was a huge black stain about the circumference of a scrub pail in our master bedroom carpeting that looked like oil. We have no idea how long the stain had been in the carpeting or exactly what the stain was from. We tried a spray on carpet cleaner that allegedly removes stains to no avail. It didn't phase the stain, it didn't even lighten the stain. My husband used our new Bissell Spot Clean scrubber on the stain on Sept. 17, 2013. He didn't use any elbow grease and he only spent about 1 minute scrubbing the stain. Oh my gosh, a miracle has occurred, THE STAIN IS COMPLETELY GONE and our carpet looks like new, literally. We're both completely astounded because we thought we'd have to replace our bedroom carpeting to get rid of the stain. There were several other set-in stains in the carpet: red juice and coffee. The Spot Clean scrubber took those set-in stains completely OUT of the carpet as well. We clean both of our living room sofas and the loveseat once a week with the Bissell Spot Clean scrubber. It got rid of set-in stains from them as well as easily as if they just happened. Prior to buying our Bissell Spot Clean portable scrubber, we priced the cost to RENT a carpet / upholstery scrubber in our local stores because our sofas had a horrible odor. The cost of renting a scrubber for 36 hours was $40, then with the cost of buying the necessary detergent and a bottle of the deodorizer, we would have spent about $80 total not including sales tax. We figured we would be financially better off to BUY a portable scrubber for a little more than the cost of renting. When we read the reviews on many brands of portable upholstery scrubbers, we chose the Bissell Spot Clean which was one of the smartest decisions that we ever made. We own a 3 year old Morkie and a 2 year old Yorkie who are sometimes covered with dirt, mud and dust, who lay on the back of the sofas & loveseat so they can look out our living room windows. Got this cleaner on Black Friday at Target for approx. half price – thought I was getting a great buy! However, I've been quite disappointed in this unit's performance. Our household has a cat that poops on the rug every day, which means I clean up whatever spot the cat picks on a daily basis. We've gone thru 5 or 6 Bissell cleaners over the years, and it it rare that any of them have remained fully functional after 12 months of daily use. However, we have had this one only 2 weeks, and it's already broke! My observations: * Hose cracked and spraying waste fluids when machine is on. * Soap and waste water tanks smaller than on previous generation "Green Machines" we have owned. /used * Title is misleading: "ProHeat" simply means you can use warm water to fill the soap tank. The machine does NOT heat the soap solution. * Sprayer on applicator nozzle only dribbles soap solution, rather than evenly spaying the soap solution over the dirty area. Overall evaluation: POOR. I'm not at all happy with this purchase. This one is going back to Bissell, and I hope I get a Simple Green back in return – at least those seem to last a few months before the pumps break.
Originally I did think this would be a great product. Although the Bissell vacuum I purchased was also weak. This Bissell pet portable pro heat cleaner was purchased to clean a small carpet and couch. It did a fair job on the carpet at first. The second time I used it there was water leaking and the sprayer started to drip not spray. I was careful when cleaning it, each time it was emptied. As others have said it doesn't actually heat the water, you just add hot water to the tank. The sample bottles of Bissell cleaner and oxy boost were nice to try, the regular size were priced high I thought. I wouldn't recommend this product. Disappointed that this was a waste of money. Disappointed of time it took to re-clean the area where dirty water leaked out. I looked up how to fix it but it needs to go to a Bissell repair store, not convenient. Please save your money,Sunshine

I got this machine to clean up area rugs, especially because of the dog, there is more dirt ending on the carpet in the family room, regardless of top how well we clean his paws. I used the machine today for the first time and used it with the Bissell's detergent I had sitting around for years (from the previous machine I owed years ago). Since the carpet hasn't been cleaned for a while, I used deep clean setting. It refreshed the carpet all right, especially considering that some dirt has been there for a longer time and may be more stubborn (see pic for the dirt in the dirty water tank) . This being an area rug, I had an issue with tassels, as in spite of me being careful, they got sucked up by the brush. It would be convenient if the power button was closer to the handle as it would help with quicker shutting off and therefore prevent possible damage to the machine. It would be even better if it had an option for cleaning up fringes of the area rugs (I understand that this machine is designed with carpets and not necessarily with rugs in mind). When I finished cleaning and turned the machine off, it spit out a lot of fiber pulled from the rug. To me, that means that it is damaging to the rug, as it is effectively thinning it. Still, even that's ok cause the rug will likely last longer than me. My biggest complaint on this machine though is complexity on cleaning it and difficulty to clean the nozzle in particular (from the piled fiber remaining in it – see pic). I ended up using a zip tie to pull the dirt out. The brush is also not all that easy to clean and I ended up just wiping it the best I can. If I haven't run into difficulties described above (especially with cleaning the nozzle), I would give it 5 stars. I am glad I have gotten this machine as it did what I expected it to do.
After having rented and used Bissell's commercial Big Green Machine I decided to buy this unit for my own home use… mainly on the basis of cost levels. The rental unit cost me about $98 for a two-day rental (including a $30 deposit) so.a three-times-year rental worked out to about the same as buying this unit (including solution costs). I've used the unit once today for a total of about 3 hours and found that, unless you rush your use of the unit and treat it like a common vacuum cleaner, it works well enough… but there are a couple of qualifications. First, in filling the clean-water tank the markings on the outside of the tank are in WHITE in which can make it rather tough to read the volume levels in the tank. Switching to a black ink for the printing on the tank would alleviate this problem. Second, the unit is rather LOUD… especially in the upper sound register. While the unit overall is loud (as is to be expected) the suction motor emits sound in the high frequency range (1000-2000hz) that makes it suspect for long period use without adequate hearing protection… something that isn't mentioned anywhere in the printed material supplied with the unit. A pair of standard hearing protectors or at least a set of foam ear plugs will go a long way towards reducing this. Third, after rather prolonged use – a total of 3 hours the first day, I noticed that the motor/pump housing (near the on/off switch) was quite warm to the touch… well above human body temperature… around 140˚F as measured with an infrared thermometer. Not having any other unit(s) to test, I don't know whether or not this is the normal operating temperature for this model. Lastly, for those who claim that this model leaves the carpet extremely wet, I can only offer that this isn't a standard vacuum cleaner… the user needs to go much, much slower on both the push and pull strokes in order to get sufficient suction to remove as much moisture as possible.
Boy did I do My research on this Baby! As a user/owner I am being honest by saying There are a few issues with this Machine. No issue alone is Problematic, it CLEANS VERY WELL INDEED, however when there are 5 issues at once, it starts to ad up.The Bissell Cleaning Solutions are Exellant but Soo expensive(look for Generics). To clean a 3BD Home with Lounge/Dinning Stair case and Hallways will set you back between $100- 150 on Bissell Cleaning Solutions, I'm not kidding!!The 2 roller Brushes are Very Agressive compared to the suction, they literally rip the Carpet Fibres up in Chunks then block the Machine. The On/Off button is way down the side were you have to feel for it because You are standing to high trying to Juggle the Power cord and God knows what, it should on the top Driving handle. The water/Solution tank is far to small and the Water and Solution level marks are impossible to see. There is allot of Back and forth to the Bathroom tub to keep refilling and adding yet more Expensive Solutions while splashing water about. Don't even try and use it to clean your Matress(big Soggy mess). The cleaning attachments are OK, but it will take hours to clean Your Sofa and will hurt Your wrists (RSI) good job though. It is heavy and Combisome. The 2 roller Brushes don't disengage when you are using utility tools, so the hole Machine is blasting full bore all the time.It was fun at first, however the pipes kink, the Power cord keeps getting stuck under Machine, it keeps getting blockedITS A BIG JUGGLING ACT, and takes allot of Practice. PLEASE read instructions very carefully.If You can manage all that, it is a GOOD MACHINE in that it does Clean very well.If You have the Money for expensive Machines and are a 'Gadget Queen' this Carpet cleaner is a allot of Fun, and a Challange!Once Your things are cleaned, then there is the Question What do I do with this $600 Machine now IN THE CUPBOARD with all the other Gadgets.For Your Time, Your Labour and the Outragious cost of Bissell Cleaning Solutions YOU are better off getting the Professionals in once a Year to be honest! I bought this smaller, portable steam cleaner because the one that I already have is a large, stand-up vacuum type and I find it hard to get into certain places. Even though my stand-up one has a hand-held attachment with a hose, it doesn't work very well. So I bought the Bissell with high-hopes and I was very pleased. I first tested it out on the landing of two different stairs in my home. My puppies love to pee on the landing for some reason and it is quite stinky. I felt like the Bissell did a great job not just in removing dirt stains from the landing but also in getting the pee smell out. So then I stepped it up a notch and tried the Bissell on the behemoth of tasks I had envisioned for the Bissell,,,,,my daughter's car. See, her dad bought the car from Carvana and we did not realize until we had the car for a bit that the strong smell in the car was because a smoker had previously owned the car. Carvana heavily scented the car in an effort to get rid of the smoke smell. But you could still smell the smoke and the scented spray on top of it. I think her dad thought we'd just clean it and it would be fine. Anyway, I spent 3 days with my Bissell in that car. It is great that the Bissell really shows you what is being vacuumed up. You can see it really well. I felt so good that I could see all the grime I was getting out of the car. I feel like the Bissell made a huge difference in the smell of the car interior. It was a very satisfying feeling. Definitely feel that I got my money's worth and then some out of the purchase. Now, here are the couple of things I wish were a little different. I wish the hose was longer, but I don't really see how they could do that. I also wish the clear plastic cover of the suction arm came off for cleaning. It's not the end of the world thought because with a toothpick and running the head under the faucet, you can clean it sufficiently. Things I really like about it: The wastewater tank is REALLY easy to remove and pour out. Lots easier than my stand-up unit. The clean water fill container is very easy to use as well and just snaps into place. I also LOVE that there is a red button that causes the unit to HEAT the water for the sprayer. My stand up unit does not have that. Keeping that water warm is a great feature. This unit is fairly lightweight and easy to carry. When I first got the Little Green I used it primarily for cleaning spots on area rugs. It worked well, but always leaked every single time I used it. The suction is pretty weak for a carpet cleaner…I have even done a thorough clean of all the tubes and nozzle to make sure it was 100% clean without any blockage. After not using it for 6 months (and misplacing the water nozzle and suction brush during a move) I replaced both items through the Bissell site. I once again made sure all compartments were clean in the machine before use. Now when I use the machine the dirty water excessively leaks from the bottom (or some area at the bottom of the machine) and the leakage has gotten EXTREMELY worse. I ended up having to place the machine on a heavy duty trash bag on top of a high absorbent mat. When I use the suction, there are LITERAL BUBBLES coming from the bottom of the machine. NOTHING is going into the dirty water tank. Before anyone asks, yes the suction top on the dirty water container is closed and all items are in the proper place. So moral of the story is that instead of having dirty water in the designated tank, it is now pooling in the trash bag. After tonight I will NOT be using this product ever again. The LittleGreen ProHeat deep cleaner was recommended to me by my mom for getting those little messes out of carpets and rugs. I got mine in March of this year and it was doing its job, other than a brush popping off the end of one of the hose attachments (an easy enough fix with some glue). I was happily using the machine about once a week just to touch up around the house, with the occasional bigger spot that needed a couple of tries to come all the way clean. Then, about three weeks ago, I was a little confused about why the dirty water tank didn't seem to be getting fuller. On closer inspection, I found that the hose had developed a sizable hole in one of the creases. The machine is outside of Target's return period and Bissell customer service has been completely unresponsive. For an item I got just a few months ago that is being used regularly, but not heavily, this is an unfortunate turn from being a product I liked to one that I simply cannot recommend.Lane
I purchased online & hoped to do curbside pickup. My local store didn’t have it on hand but shipping looked like it would only take a day or two so I opted to have it shipped. We’ll about 4 hours later (maybe less) it was delivered to my front door. I absolutely couldn’t believe it. What amazing service. My first trial run of the unit was on a bench. I very briefly pre-treated the surface. Then I followed the instructions to spray while scrubbing. I didn’t put a lot of time or huge effort into it. The results are really great and I’m sure they would be even better if I let the pre-treatment soak for longer than 2 minutes. After I cleaned my bench, I could not believe how filthy the water that I suctioned from the bench was. I will be using and loving this little machine a lot!!! It was really easy to assemble and get started. I think I’ll get better at judging how to pre-treat stains and how to scrub. But for a first try using it & doing with almost no effort. I Would Return This If I Could. I Started Out Good, Cleaning My Car Seat, A Spill On My Couch Etc. It Works Ok, But What I Did Not Expect Was That I Needed To Push A Lot Harder Than Expected. This Is Not A Machine That Does The Work For You. You Do All The Work, And The Handles Feel Really Flimsy. The Hose Is Also Made Of Hard Plastic. There Is No Wiggle To It. The Hose Is Also Incredibly Short, Which I Had Read But Wanted To See If It Was A Big Deal. It Is. It Also Leaks From The Bottom, So If One Is To Use This In The Car, You Either Put It In The Car, With Something Underneath, Or You Put It On A Stool Or Something Near You. Because The Hose Is Short, Both Of These Are Risky, Meaning The Bissell Could Fall Over, Get Knocked Off Etc. Not Fun When You're Trying To Clean Something And it's Already Taking Alot Of Work. So Many Negatives, I Would Not Purchase Again. The Hard Plastic Hose Tore, And I Have Only Used This Bissell A Handful Of Times. Maybe 5, And For Mostly Small Things. Not Fun. The suction is pretty weak for a carpet cleaner…I have even done a thorough clean of all the tubes and nozzle to make sure it was 100% clean without any blockage. After not using it for 6 months (and misplacing the water nozzle and suction brush during a move) I replaced both items through the Bissell site. I once again made sure all compartments were clean in the machine before use. Now when I use the machine the dirty water excessively leaks from the bottom (or some area at the bottom of the machine) and the leakage has gotten EXTREMELY worse. I ended up having to place the machine on a heavy duty trash bag on top of a high absorbent mat. When I use the suction, there are LITERAL BUBBLES coming from the bottom of the machine. NOTHING is going into the dirty water tank. Before anyone asks, yes the suction top on the dirty water container is closed and all items are in the proper place. So moral of the story is that instead of having dirty water in the designated tank, it is now pooling in the trash bag. After tonight I will NOT be using this product ever again. Very disappointed with this item. It does clean cat messes but not dirt from carpet. Also, what is in the box is not what is pictured on the front of the box. The brush attachment shown is black with a clear front adn 3 rows of red bristles, actual attachment is all clear and has only ONE row of bristles. The attachment is also supposd to have a button to release if from the hose. There is NO button! You cannot remove it unless you pry it off with a screwdriver! The box shows a button and the instructions also show a button. You are supoosed to remove the attachment & hook the hose to the machine to run water through but you can't take the attachment off so you can't clean it. Using a screwdriver to pry it is going the break the cheap plastic attachment. I did try to contact Hoover but the bot said it was too busy and booted me off. Love this wet vac! We just got a new puppy and the only handheld wet vacs like the discontinued Bissell we had in the past are impossible toclean. They don’t come apart like they need to. This Hoover is bigger, but just as portable and does a MUCH better job than the handhelds. It was super easy to set up, and I can’t believe how easy it is to clean after use. The hose cleaning feature is phenomenal and is one of the main reasons I got this over the Bissell Little Green Machine. Well worth the investment to keep my carpets clean while puppy learns how to comply with socially acceptable bathroom norms. I have owned this unit for 5 years after previously owning a Bissel Little Green Machine (the Bissel nosel stopped spraying after a couple years, and unit would constantly leak). About a year ago I noticed it was getting more difficult to place the handle back in the holder (the hose did not stretch as far as it used to). I didn't think much of it, but then. Few months ago I noticed that the hose tore near the sprayer. I loved using this machine, therefore I wanted to try fixing it without having to buy another one. I used hockey tape and that seemed to do the trick. Then about a month ago, I noticed that the hose has also torn right at the base (I am unable to fix this with tape unfortunately). I wrote Hoover about this, however, I am far out of warranty, so there isn't really much they can do. Now I'm trying to decide if I should buy another one or try something new. I noticed another customer also had the same problem with the hose tearing, so obviously my issue is not isolated.Kryss

The LittleGreen ProHeat deep cleaner was recommended to me by my mom for getting those little messes out of carpets and rugs. I got mine in March of this year and it was doing its job, other than a brush popping off the end of one of the hose attachments (an easy enough fix with some glue). I was happily using the machine about once a week just to touch up around the house, with the occasional bigger spot that needed a couple of tries to come all the way clean. Then, about three weeks ago, I was a little confused about why the dirty water tank didn't seem to be getting fuller. On closer inspection, I found that the hose had developed a sizable hole in one of the creases. The machine is outside of Target's return period and Bissell customer service has been completely unresponsive. For an item I got just a few months ago that is being used regularly, but not heavily, this is an unfortunate turn from being a product I liked to one that I simply cannot recommend.Lane
I purchased online & hoped to do curbside pickup. My local store didn’t have it on hand but shipping looked like it would only take a day or two so I opted to have it shipped. We’ll about 4 hours later (maybe less) it was delivered to my front door. I absolutely couldn’t believe it. What amazing service. My first trial run of the unit was on a bench. I very briefly pre-treated the surface. Then I followed the instructions to spray while scrubbing. I didn’t put a lot of time or huge effort into it. The results are really great and I’m sure they would be even better if I let the pre-treatment soak for longer than 2 minutes. After I cleaned my bench, I could not believe how filthy the water that I suctioned from the bench was. I will be using and loving this little machine a lot!!! It was really easy to assemble and get started. I think I’ll get better at judging how to pre-treat stains and how to scrub. But for a first try using it & doing with almost no effort. I Would Return This If I Could. I Started Out Good, Cleaning My Car Seat, A Spill On My Couch Etc. It Works Ok, But What I Did Not Expect Was That I Needed To Push A Lot Harder Than Expected. This Is Not A Machine That Does The Work For You. You Do All The Work, And The Handles Feel Really Flimsy. The Hose Is Also Made Of Hard Plastic. There Is No Wiggle To It. The Hose Is Also Incredibly Short, Which I Had Read But Wanted To See If It Was A Big Deal. It Is. It Also Leaks From The Bottom, So If One Is To Use This In The Car, You Either Put It In The Car, With Something Underneath, Or You Put It On A Stool Or Something Near You. Because The Hose Is Short, Both Of These Are Risky, Meaning The Bissell Could Fall Over, Get Knocked Off Etc. Not Fun When You're Trying To Clean Something And it's Already Taking Alot Of Work. So Many Negatives, I Would Not Purchase Again. The Hard Plastic Hose Tore, And I Have Only Used This Bissell A Handful Of Times. Maybe 5, And For Mostly Small Things. Not Fun. I had been considering buying a steamer for some time. We have slate floors, and a walk in tile shower that I hate using nasty chemicals on. I was excited when I seen Joe had come out with one. It didn't have any reviews when I bought it (or even videos), but I took a leap. Shipping took a long time, but I certainly understand considering the time we live in now with the Covid19 virus. The only problem I have is the day it was delivered, I received an ad from Walmart, for the same unit for thirty dollars less than I paid. So much for getting a special deal on a new product! Yes I could have refused shipment, or returned it. I know it's my fault, and you can be sure I'll be more careful in the future. That said.. This unit is for small jobs as advertised. It is super quick, and easy to use. It heats up incredibly fast. I am very happy with the performance, and will use it often. It is not a bad item. One piece was broken in the box when received but all other parts were intact. It does stem but at times more water than steam come out and that makes it hard but it does get scum build up when you have it on high pressure and get close to the area that has the dirt and scum. I received this Conair GS2 Complete Steam Fabric Steamer and have been using it on everything! It is said to be for travel, college, apartments, and dorms but this is great in our home as well as probably any home that needs a smaller sized steamer. I have used this on clothing, linens, and other items but my favorite is to use it on my curtains! I can actually use this on my curtains while they are hanging on the curtain rods. It helps with allergens and wrinkles and I am having so much fun using this throughout the house. I will be using this on sheets and pillow cases too!! Absolutely love the idea of fabric steamers. I have always hated the fact that when you have wrinkly clothes that you get to take out the iron, plug it in, wait for it to warm up, do your ironing but make sure you don't touch the clothes too long, have the wrong setting, leave it plugged in, watch for burns etc etc.. steamers allow you to get the wrinkles out of your clothes with next to no hassle. Fill the water up to the fill line. Plug in and wait a few seconds until it heats up and then do your steaming and unplug and move on with your day. The best perk about it is that once you unplug it there is no worries about it being hot and burning something because of it falling over or staying hot for too long. It's pretty light weight and super easy to use. Brush the steam across the garment and watch the wrinkles leave like magic. They're wonderful for those delicates like chiffon that you would not dare use an iron on. You can even use this for cleaning to help disinfect a bathroom or kitchen as the hot steam is an excellent disinfectant with no harsh chemicals.aleea
The steamer really great job, traveling with this in my bag is easy as it is fairly compact for a steamer, it heats up extremely fast, and as long as you're using bottled water, which you do not need a lot of, there is no sediment buildup. Things to keep in mind about the steamer however; the steamer Hass to be at the right angle otherwise your clothing will be splattered gently with water, unlike previous Connor systems and other competitive friends this Connor Schumer does not have the issue of becoming a hostile (boiling) water gun, i've had the pleasure of using the steamer six times traveling, and many many times at home, at work, and at the gym. It heats up so fast that it's super easy to use in weird places (workplace bathroom, restaurant, behind a wall at a wedding etc) just make sure that you read the directions carefully, hold the device either perfectly straight, or slightly tilted back towards your hand. Obviously you do not want to wiggle this, if you're used to blow drying your hair get out of that habit of constant movement side to side and opt for a gentle and smooth up and down motion. Now given this glowing review, you may be asking yourself why I did not give it five stars, the reason very simply, is because of how finicky it can be with that angle, it's far less finicky than most clothing steamers and the best of the compact travel sized steamers, however it still has a little bit of work to go, so I'm not sure how you would ever get a compact steamer to not have that issue with angles. The Hover PowerDash GO Pet + Spot Cleaner is a handy tool for easy pet mess cleanups. It is compact and stores nicely. It is great for spot cleaning like the name implies, it's even good for larger jobs if it is all that you have. The cord is a bit short, but again great for small jobs. Upholstery cleaning is a chore I don't enjoy so don't do often, I was amazed at the amount of yuck it removed from my ottoman, and pleased with the fresh scent it left behind. The included instructions could have been more informative but I managed to figure things out. The attachments are easy to install, remove, and clean. The hose is not easily removable, you have to unscrew a part from the bottom of the unit to get it off. I wanted to rinse it out before storing but it felt like too much work. The dirty tank holds quite a bit and is super easy to clean when you're done. It seams to leave a lot of moisture behind and I had to turn the suction off to scrub. My ottoman is puffy and soft so it was hard to get a good clean without the solution getting sucked out. I have an elderly dog and have been hand scrubbing pee spots for quite a while, I thought I was doing a good job but I was so wrong. This spot cleaner really gets the mess out and leaves your carpet fresh. I would definitely recomend the Hoover Power Dash GO Pet + Spot Cleaner to anyone with pet messes, it really does a great job. First off this works great for cleaning up small messes and stains before they set. It is not a carpet cleaner which is what most complaints I have read talk about. This Spot cleaner does exactly what it says. We have been using this spot cleaner for about a month and have had no complaints. It has strong suction and the pet scrubber it comes with works great when dealing with both messes from our kids and from our pets. We have 3 kids 2 cats and a dog. The one reservation I had when I first got this my biggest concern was the lack of a fresh water reservoir. I soon found that for a majority of messes it is not needed. The carpet cleaning formula that came with it does a great job of releasing the stains and smells. I have cleaned up pet and kid urine, vomit, and spilled drinks. A couple of times I have needed some fresh water but all I did was take a cup of hot water to soak the spot with. The Hoover spot cleaner has a large dirty water reservoir and handle this just fine. Another thing I have really liked about using this cleaner is the spots dry much faster as there is much less liquid used in the cleanup. We keep this primarily in the car which works great as it is small in size and can run off our power inverter really well. They really did a great job with this one. It is very sturdy and well built and everything comes apart to clean. The biggest problem I have had in the past is not being able to open the dirty water compartment up completely to clean. It ends up stinking and growing things. With this one the top opens completely and I just put it in the dishwasher. The scrubbing and sucking head comes apart as well. We frequently have six grand children running around are house. They mainly stay in the living room where Nana let's them eat snacks! The carpet had noticably dingy traffic areas, spills, and various snack crumbs smashed into the carpet around the coffee table area. As a former professional carpet cleaner of five + years, I am amazed at how well this smart wash carpet cleaner cleaned our carpet! The living room is approximately 13' x 20' and used 2 gallons of hot water with mixed detergent to clean. The traffic areas and spills took multiple passes as expected. 1 gallon of water without detergent was used to rinse the carpet and extract any remaining detergent from the carpet. Rinsing is an important step because detergent is designed to attract dirt and if not rinsed properly, will attract more dirt to the carpet. I was sceptical at first and thought at best the carpet would look "better". However, the hoover smart wash outperformed my expectations and the carpet actually looks clean! I've owned this machine for little over two years now and overall it's been great but there was one issue I had about six months into owning it with the dry only button and I was frustrated but Hoover was awesome about it and sent me a box and return label so they could see the problem and fix it. Not only did they send me a brand new machine, they also sent me my old one fixed and restored! This machine does an amazing job and it's much lighter to push than the older previous models. It takes a little bit getting used to it at first since it operates differently than older models. Once you get used to it, it's easy. One complaint I have is it's a pain having to remove the small cleaning solution container and setting it aside for rinsing with water only. (Note: be sure to place it upside down or it will leak cleaning solution all over the floor) Not a deal breaker but I hope with future models there can be a switch to use clean water only for rinsing. One thing I will stress that helps is to clean out the machine good after every cleaning! With this model it is easy to remove the brushes and the plastic covering them. This particular model has a "dry only" function which did not work on the first unit ordered. It has a circuit board which is either susceptible to damage or manufacturer defect. After going through the gamut of trial and error with customer service, they sent a replacement free of charge.
Here are a few things I've found over the past year of using the unit maybe 10 or 12 times.
The good first.
I like the dry only feature so that way one can use it as a dry vacuum or go over the freshly cleaned carpet to one's heart's content.
It seems pretty light and maneuverable to me and the three agitator brushes do a pretty good job agitating the carpet pile.
Yep, that's about it.
The not so good.
First and foremost there is no way to rinse the cleaning solution mixture from the carpet leaving it behind to dry and attract and hold on to dirt and grime. I used it on a white shag and the tips of the pile turned brown as it dried so I went through the whole process again only this time adding a clean water rinsing step and used my shop vac to remove the rinse water.
Why would I use the Shop-Vac to remove the water you might ask? Because these units do not have enough suction to do the job.
The cleaning solution container does not seal well when removing it from the unit so it tends to get messy and somewhere along the pathway in the unit seems to leak eventually.
The dry only function seems to be malfunctioning or it could be the leaky cleaning solution.
There are a lot of little nooks and crannies to clean after every use if you want to keep it operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Ultimately, in my humble opinion, they need to scrap this design and go back to the drawing board. If you remove the cleaning solution container it will make a decent but very expensive vacuum.Andrew
