Very powerful, light and maneuverable, the brush is driven by a separate motor, seams like a great design, but the brush allows hair to get right into the Barrings!!! I removed and cleaned the brush after 2nd use, found that some pet and human hair had gotten into the Barring, melted the barring cap and housing. the third use the brush stopped before i was done as it was bound up. I only used it for the upstairs of my house. I'll call support to try to get another brush, but how long will the last? after years of well designed brushes, WHAT Happened? were they lasting too long?DAVID

My little dog sheds an unbelievable amount of fur. I use this throughout my home. The best things about this product are: 1) strong motor; 2) it's lightweight; 3) the attachment hose is long enough that the vacuum doesn't collapse when in use; 3) disassembling the unit to clean is very easy, assembling is also very easy. I bought a well-advertised competitive pet vacuum during the pandemic shutdown. It caused me nothing but grief. I don't have the strong hands of a 20-year old any longer, so I dreaded having to clean the canister. There were times I broke into tears of frustration because I just didn't have the strength to move the parts in the same directions. (I put that product up on the neighborhood website "for sale" section, reducing my purchase price by 2/3. Still no takers.) I need a clean house. I bought this 6 months ago and tried to get used to it, but don’t like it at all. It is hard to push. I have it on the max setting and still harder to push on normal carpet. The attachments often fall off when in normal use. I had heard great things about simplicity, however, they had an older model. This newer one doesn’t compare. I have had this vacuum for about a year. I bought it because of the dog hair I contend with on a daily basis. It does an amazing job and the fact that it has a bag is a big plus. I always thought bagless was the way to go because of convenience, but this unit proves that thought was completely wrong. You won't be sorry if you buy this vacuum. Suction seems good but I have had this vacuum a week and it's driving me crazy bc I can't get the wand to stay in it's holder while I'm vacuuming .. if I bend to go under a desk or table the wand will fall out .. sure seems like this is a poor design… Why can't the wand fit more snug in it's holder so it doesn't fall out every 5 seconds? How much suction is it losing bc the fitting is soooo loose?? Surely I'm not the first person to have this issue?! Wish I could return this. 🙁PamC

I bought the WindTunnel 2 Whole House Rewind Pet Bagless vaccuum a few weeks before Christmas because my current vaccuum seemed to be losing steam. I hate to say it, but my 6 year old vaccuum of the same size still can way outperform this one. This vaccuum has no suction on bare floors and tends to just throw all the dust and dirt around instead of picking it up. I vaccuumed with this one, then brought out the old one to clean up the mess. The attachment works great – although it just beats the fabric to death and it the vaccuum performs okay on carpet. I have short pile carpet and tile floors, the vacuum works OK on tile but not on any carpet no matter how high you set it, right out of the box I turned it on and it started smoking and smelling like burning rubber, the belt was pinched when it was assembled, called service they sent me a belt it took 7 days. now I have to replace the belt every other week because if I don't the brush will not work. Had this Vacuum for three months, it does not work as well as my old vac that is 7 years oldMike

I purchased this vacuum brand new, on August 25, 2021. It's November 12, 2021 and it's been used 5-6 times, as we had the vacuum a couple weeks before we moved in to our new home. First two uses were great, then after that it just stopped picking up pet hair. I've inspected it at the request of Chat Support and nothing is wrong with it, no belt issue, nothing. Brush roll is cleaned after every use, as well as the filter and canister. I'm being asked to take it in for "service or replacement," but why would I want the same vacuum again if it doesn't even pick up pet hair after the first two uses?? Customer Support is a joke. I got this one to replace the one that gave out after 3 years of use (well only the roller quit working–no belt …). I'm a bit frustrated. My only con (after owning a windtunnel) is the hose is too short. And I keep knocking my vacuum over when using it because of that fact. Otherwise I really enjoy how light weight it is. Great for everyday use; especially because my cats shed like crazy. Picks up all the dirt and dust.Christine

First, I don't know if this was a repackaged vacuum cleaner, the hose has a section that is partially collapsed, and there's a section of power cord that has a little bit of insulation missing. Small things I didn't feel worth sending the vacuum back. The only gripe I have is the roller brush cannot be turned off while dusting, but then if it had that feature you'd be paying more this this unit.James

I thought the vacume was great until using it on my main floor rug (shaggy rug). I was disappointed to see there was no self adjustment which almost makes the vacuume useless when not easily versatile to different kinds of carpet and rugs. I had high hopes for this vacume. I am a long time ex housekeeper but pride myself on my home and cleaning tools. Perhaps there can be some add on created to the vacume because I would hate to return it. I love the suction power and durability it has. I would like to use it to fullest abilities that it could achieve. This little vacuum is exactly what I've been looking for! It's narrow enough to vacuum between chair legs, yet wide enough to get the whole house done in good time. I love how the beater bar turns on and off with the flip of a switch so that when I go from carpet to tile, I can just turn off the brushes. The beater bar also turns off automatically when it's locked into the standing position so that when you use the wand for stairs, baseboards, and corners the brushes aren't spinning in place and wearing out. Vacuuming stairs is a breeze! I've never had a vacuum that made this job easy, so I'm very pleased! Now, my staircase gets vacuumed with every vacuuming. I used to leave that task for special days when company came (true confessions) 🙂 Emptying the canister is super simple too! Everything about this vacuum is simple but effective. I was wanting to replace my old vacuum and seen this. It is actually better then I thought it would be, has to switches on it, one to turn on the vacuum and the other to turn on and off the spinning of the brush, which is perfect for hardwood floor or laminate. The 2 filters and brush are both removable and washable. I seen a review of someone saying that you cannot get a rubber belt part for this vacuum. I looked at the belt took a picture of the numbers on it and found the belts online no problem. I also have a dirt devil newer canister (no power head) which is great that i use for my carsBeamrgurl

I have had a Hoover Windtunnel since 2012 and love it. This vacuum is terrible. It has good suction but………When it is in the Upright position so you can use the attachments the roller brush does not shut off. It ruins your carpet! It actually was smelling like something was burning. I think the belt was slipping. Bad engineering to not have the roller brush shut off in the upright position. What kind of idiot would say yes to a design like this? Our Windtunnel shuts off in the upright position. Tried to call Hoover….was told they were closed on a Thursday, I Was told in a recording to go online which I did but chat said they were closed and to call them. PING PONG affect going on here. DUMB….. Then on Friday was on hold 2 hrs before it cut me off. Called back, pressed the prompt for a call back and never got one the entire day and still no call back. Today is Monday called again and again We are closed after going through all the prompts to wait for an agent. Went online to chat and actually got someone named Honey B who was a bit rude saying we are open, just busy. So there is a difference of being closed and saying busy hang on….. Then when I told about the problem we had I was told to talk to who makes our carpet. Pass the buck Hoover on poor engineering huh????. You should never have a vacuum that the brush spins and spins when it's in one place. This vacuum was made to use attachments so put the rollers into idle please while using them. You will wear out your carpet and wear out your vacuum belt. Hoover will try everything I'm sure to cover our damaged carpet….SO BUYER beware. FORGET this vacuum. Its junk. PLUS the dial to lift the vacuum head up really does nothing. It's a joke. And when emptying the canister, it fell off the hinges. Seriously, I will never recommend Hoover again. I grew up using Hoover products and have used them my entire adult life. I researched all brands/models before replacing our older Hoover. We decided on this vacuum due to having three cats and it's excellent reviews. The first time I vacuumed with it, I loved it. I actually still love it's vacuuming capabilities (after using it a month). The fault with this product lies in the fact that as soon as you turn on the vacuum, the brush turns at a very high speed (while vacuum is still in upright position) and the brush doesn't stop until you turn off the vacuum, regardless of floor setting or if you are using the upholstery/stair attachments. I've never had a vacuum like this before and being that it's specifically designed for pet owners, the fact that the brush turns when the upholstery attachments are in use baffles me. While trying to vacuum our couch the brush actually wore on our carpet and heated it to the point of melting after less than a minute. I tried manipulating the vacuum and leaning it back off the carpet while using the attachment but that is just way too much effort. We tried it on all floor settings including hard floor with the same results. Honestly, the brush shouldn't turn until the handle is released for vacuuming so I'm not exactly sure why it was made this way. I returned it thinking I had a faulty vacuum and exchanged it for the same model (it does vacuum really well), and the second vacuum did the same, so I must assume it's simply a design flaw. So if your pet's don't shed on furniture or stairs I recommend this model, otherwise It pains me to say that I don't recommend it.Cat mom of three

Well, it seems to do ok but there are some things that make me wonder why they were designed the way they were. The on switch should be up at the top of the handle instead of being a foot switch where the reclining lever used to be for something like 100 years of Hoover vacuums. To recline the handle now requires I reach around with my foot and step on the front of the machine while forcing the handle down. It's very awkward and silly to change a design that worked for a century. And the rug height adjustment is a little touchy. I set it around medium and started vacuuming a very low rug and didn't know the belt was slipping until I smelled rubber burning. Oops. Once I learned to dial the height properly the vacuum does a pretty good job of cleaning pet hair and dirt from carpet. I had been vacuuming with a shop vac and thought my rugs were fairly clean, but the Hoover with the spinning brushes managed to pull out a lot more dirt that I missed. Emptying the canister is straightforward. I take it outside and blow it with a leaf blower. I can't imagine getting it sufficiently clean any other way without using water. Overall it's a marvel of engineering that performs its job very well, but with a couple very obvious design blunders that renders it a bit awkward to use.Randal

Just bought this because it is on sale. It is for my bissell replacement because the mid catcher on my bissell was lost. Overall this vacuum do what it does. However, I am not going to keep it because of reasons too important to ignore. This is a heavy unit. A lot more heavier than my old upright. Wife had difficulty lugging it up the stairs. It is complex to clean. If you just follow the instructions you are only cleaning some part of it, mainly the heavier dirt and hair, by releasing the bottom. Everything inside that canister, that red cone, that cylinder with the holes, everything that is part of the vacuum in there gather dirt. It has to be taken apart with a screwdriver to clean. The filter looks very nice but it will be a consumable part, will clog up in time and will need a new one, looks expensive to purchase and with vacuums, they go out of style and become obsolete. Might have a problem finding a new one in a couple years. The rewind cord is very weak. Had to step on the button and feed the cord in for it to retract. This is when it's new, I have no faith with it as it ages. It's a gimmicky feature. Nothing wrong with wrapping up a cord when done vacuuming. With this feature there is no hook to wrap the cord with when the rewind feature stops working.Old Dad

I was so excited to review this vacuum cleaner. Assemble was easy only required a Philips screw driver to attach the handle. I have 2 dogs and 1 cats vacuum is hands down the best vacuum I have owned for getting stubborn pet hair. I have a Lab Retriever dog that sheds hair a lot and have to vacuum at least twice a week and I have to say the suction on this vacuum is awesome there is no blown away hairs or spots missed. The tools gets my stairs better than anything i have ever used and the suction is powerful. The cord rewind really saves time and hassle with just a touch your foot on the cord button, no need to bend over! Bagless and washable filter are super convenient for maintaining and cleaning. I love the multi floor surface since I have half hardwood floor other half carpet. I also enjoy the scatter guard to prevent dirt from spreading on your hard wood floors. I attached a video where my kids had Ritz crackers all over are living room rug, this vacuum pick up the debris in ONE SWIPE. Only down fall is the vacuum is bulky and loud, so small kids will not be able to help you vacuum. Also wished it had lights for dark closet ect.. A few times i had issues with the power cord i would click the button and nothing would happen, i was afraid i applied to much pressure i would break it but eventually got it to work, wish it was a more smoother process. But overall the powerful suction and the ability to only need one device to clean both hardwood floors and carpet is completely worth it!Jlynne

The interchangeable batteries, the many attachments and the light weight of this vacuum is the only positives. This is my first cordless vacuum so I am not an expert but this is my observations after 1.5 months of using it. While I will say the hard floor power head works great for exactly that I must say the multi surface power head is terrible. After vacuuming a single 5’x7’ rug, the light goes red, the roller stops, and it needs to be cleaned. It’s not like we have a lot of hair in our house, just myself and my partner, as our dog does not shed at all. To clarify it comes with two full sized motor heads. One for hard floors (this one is great and hair doesn’t get caught in it at all) and one for carpet and hard floors (this multipurpose one gets a lot of hair caught in no time at all and will stop working until you take it apart and clean it) Canadian Tire does not offer returns on vacuums once you’ve tested them which I somewhat understand but it’s also a nuisance and it something that may hinder me from buying one from them in the future. If we hadn’t bought this vacuum on sale 50% off I would be quite upset. This vacuum feels very cheaply made. If you are looking for a cheap vacuum for hard floors then this one will do a decent job. If your looking for an infallible vacuum that has no bells or whistles, this is the one. Simple, powerful, gets the job done. I live with two kids a Lab, on a farm and it picks up everything. Everything. Heavy cord and vacuum are signs that this machine is powerful. You can not mistake this for a Dyson, or a Shark, both if which I purchased but did not last more than one year. I purchased the Shark Navigator® Anti-Allergen Upright Vacuum about a month ago and I absolutely love it! I love how easy it was to assemble and how powerful it is. I have 2 cats and a dog so my house has to be vacuumed at least 4 times a week because of the animal hair. My daughter also has allergies so I love the anti-allergen and that it picks up every speck of dust, hair, and dirt. It feels like it is self propelled and glides so easily across all carpet types. There's really no effort needed to push this thing! I also love how it leaves the deep lines in the carpet because it shows me how clean it is really getting and how deep it picks up. It's the perfect size and I have a family of 4 with 3 pets. The swivel steering makes it so easy to maneuver around any spot and the crevice tools are perfect for hard to reach areas. The dusting brush works beautifully on furniture to remove pet hair and I feel better knowing that it captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens. Once assembled, we started using it and was amazed at the power and amount of suction it has. WE only have one fully carpeted room, but I swear, even though I had vacuumed it before, I couldn't believe the amount of dust and dirt came up. The rest of the house has throw and area rugs that also got a good going over, and again, even though they had been vacuumed with our previous vacuum, we got a lot up from them. I have a feeling that we will have a lot less allergies come spring with using this vacuum. I highly recommend this vacuum.Beth

The vacuum comes packaged in four pieces that do require some light assembly. I'm a little instruction challenged but it took me no more than about 10 minutes to complete and quick instructions are on the inside flap of the box so I did not even have to open the owner's guide to get started. A screwdriver or small coin is needed for tightening one screw. Everything else was basically plug and quick connect. Let me first say this thing is amazingly powerful! I cannot believe how much dirt, dust, and pet hair that came up out of my carpet from just the first use. I don't know if I am just that poor of a housekeeper or if my previous vacuum was just that bad but it was both shocking and amazing. With just a single pass, a tornado of fur and dirt was suddenly seen swirling around inside the collection chamber. I could not believe that much pet hair was trapped inside my carpet and this Shark NV130 picked it right up. It was not a problem though as this vacuum is designed with a quick release, quick empty canister I readily dumped when finished. This vacuum worked equally well on my linoleum, hardwoods, and tile floors. Walking on them afterwards, I could feel how smooth they had become, meaning I could easily tell how the vacuum had removed the fine particles and dirt that had been tracked inside the house. I especially like that it gets right up to the edge of baseboards without the need to use extra cleaning tools, although on board are a crevice tool and dusting brush. And yes!!! Finally a vacuum with a sufficient long cord to avoid frequently having to unplug and plug just to vacuum one modest size room. Since I live in a home with multiple flooring (carpet, vinyl, tile, hardwood) and it is nice to go seamlessly from room to room with just a toggle of the power switch located at the top of the vacuum near the handle without having to keep chasing down an electrical outlet to replug. This means I can spend more time vacuuming and less time unplugging and moving the cord from room to room. I could actually vacuum my entire downstairs (roughly 950 sq. ft) by moving the cord only once. The vacuum is on the heavier side. That is not ideal for carrying up and down stairs (as I live in a two-story home). But since I do live in a two story house, I have to say it balances nicely on stairs due to its slim profile without toppling over. Also, due to canister design, it doesn't reach very far under low seated furniture. The extra powerful suction makes it well worth it though and while vacuuming a small rug I could feel it drastically pulling me across to the other side. Other things I love about this Shark Navigator are the attractive maroon color, the swivel handle for easy maneuvering which actually makes it fun to "drive", and the suction release slide lever for those times you vacuum something unintended. Wow! If not for some very minor/ minimal scuffs, I would have thought this vacuum cleaner was brand new. I had been using a filter queen for the last 12 years and it was starting to smell a bit with use. I saw this refurbished unit on Ebay and it was such a great price! I thought what the heck, let's give it a try. I had just used the filter queen 5 days ago and I was blown away at how much additional dust and debris this Hoover picked up! It was like I had not vacuumed for a month! There was so much in the canister that I had to empty it before finishing off the other rooms (only 4 bed rooms). I am extremely happy with this product and am confident you will be happy too. It is an excellent value for the money. I don't think you will do better. So I got a refurbished model. I figured, if something broke on it, it's fixed now! I've only used it once but was super super impressed with its suction power, picked up a LOT more dirt and dog hair than my previous vacuum. The attachments work well. The hose *feels* like it's short, but just needs a good stretching. I rated 5 because my first use of it was fantastic. As long as it doesn't break, it'll remain a 5 star. Plus I got it when it was on sale for like $45, so that was pretty baller too. The tank holds a lot of dirt and fur. My previous vacuum used to clog left and right from the husky and cat fur, but this grabs it up no problem. I haven't needed to take it apart and pull any clogs out, and emptying is pretty easy too. Very pleased overall, way better than my old GE bagless vac. The rinsable filter gets visibly dirty very quickly. Although the suction indicator still shows green, I feel compelled to clean this filter often. Unfortunately, it takes days to fully dry indoors, which is annoying. The most important thing I've found about using this vac is to pull the power cord out COMPLETELY when vacuuming! The new shipped manual only mentions this in passing, the older downloadable manual doesn't mention it at all. Obviously Hoover decided it was a good idea, but failed to highlight how important it is. When retracted, the cord obstructs the motor exhaust, which is surprisingly hot! This can trigger the thermal shut-off, putting undue stress on both the motor and cord. Just pull the cord out until you see the yellow "almost out of cord" tape & problem solved.joeblow789

We plan to return, after a couple uses by me and my cleaning lady. There are too many settings to keep adjusting between for hard wood floor, soft carpet and a variety of area rugs. The main vacuum does not work well on hard wood floors, so need to use alternate head which has a brush around the edges. The brush catches our pet hair (which you then need to manually pull off) so I'm not even sure the vaccuum is actually doing most of the work, versus the brush bristles holding the fur. None of the combinations of settings work well on our loomed wool rug from Ethan Allen. It is just a standard rug, nothing crazy.KMZ

I have two small spaniels that shed so I literally vacuum top to bottom (3300 sq. feet) at least 5 times a week. I used to go through a vacuum yearly or at best every other year. After a lot of frustration trying to find a vacuum that would last I learned about the Miele brand. I have had my canister vacuum for FIVE years now and it works as well as the first day I bought it. Miele is top of the line wonderful! Some people have told me they are good for at least 20 years…if that's true what I thought was an expensive price tag will become very inexpensive. The suction is outstanding, they have a wide selection of cleaning tools which I love. The vacuum bag itself keeps microscopic dust and allergens trapped inside so even my husband who suffers from asthma has noticed the difference. Worth every dollar I spent!sheila.m

I bought this vacuum cleaner three years ago. It has very good sucking power; however, it is very heavy to lift to get it off the hard wood floors onto the rugs. It doesn't just glide on to the rugs–you have to physically lift it. Last month when I was lifting it, the handle cracked in half. I keep putting electrical tape around it and duct tape to hold it together but it doesn't hold. I am afraid I am going to electrocute myself.Theresa

This is a durable, great vacuum for cleaning hard floors and carpeted surfaces. Excellent suction, lightweight and a huge bag capacity. Definitely feels more premium and durable than the big-box stuff. Picks up pet hair easily. I use the HEPA bags in mine for added filtration. This sweeeper is lightweight and has a lot of suction. It is so much easier to get this out to sweep my kitchen floor than getting out our regular vacuum. It is easy to empty the dirt collector. I purchased this product 8 months ago. It worked great initially. Now the hose connecting the stick to the floor cleaner has cracked and has gotten holes in it. I cannot clean my carpets with it anymore. I’ve contacted the company and am awaiting a response on a solution.Beth

I LOVE this vacuum!!! So easy to use and take apart and clean. The suction is GREAT!! I have 2 cats and 1 dog and this vacuum works wonders!! I especially love the long cord so I only have to move the cord 2 times to get through the house. Also, it is very easy to undo the head piece from the stick part to get to small places. We frequently have six grand children running around are house. They mainly stay in the living room where Nana let's them eat snacks! The carpet had noticably dingy traffic areas, spills, and various snack crumbs smashed into the carpet around the coffee table area. As a former professional carpet cleaner of five + years, I am amazed at how well this smart wash carpet cleaner cleaned our carpet! The living room is approximately 13' x 20' and used 2 gallons of hot water with mixed detergent to clean. The traffic areas and spills took multiple passes as expected. 1 gallon of water without detergent was used to rinse the carpet and extract any remaining detergent from the carpet. Rinsing is an important step because detergent is designed to attract dirt and if not rinsed properly, will attract more dirt to the carpet. I was sceptical at first and thought at best the carpet would look "better". However, the hoover smart wash outperformed my expectations and the carpet actually looks clean! I've owned this machine for little over two years now and overall it's been great but there was one issue I had about six months into owning it with the dry only button and I was frustrated but Hoover was awesome about it and sent me a box and return label so they could see the problem and fix it. Not only did they send me a brand new machine, they also sent me my old one fixed and restored! This machine does an amazing job and it's much lighter to push than the older previous models. It takes a little bit getting used to it at first since it operates differently than older models. Once you get used to it, it's easy. One complaint I have is it's a pain having to remove the small cleaning solution container and setting it aside for rinsing with water only. (Note: be sure to place it upside down or it will leak cleaning solution all over the floor) Not a deal breaker but I hope with future models there can be a switch to use clean water only for rinsing. One thing I will stress that helps is to clean out the machine good after every cleaning! With this model it is easy to remove the brushes and the plastic covering them. This particular model has a "dry only" function which did not work on the first unit ordered. It has a circuit board which is either susceptible to damage or manufacturer defect. After going through the gamut of trial and error with customer service, they sent a replacement free of charge.

Here are a few things I've found over the past year of using the unit maybe 10 or 12 times.

The good first.

I like the dry only feature so that way one can use it as a dry vacuum or go over the freshly cleaned carpet to one's heart's content.

It seems pretty light and maneuverable to me and the three agitator brushes do a pretty good job agitating the carpet pile.

Yep, that's about it.

The not so good.

First and foremost there is no way to rinse the cleaning solution mixture from the carpet leaving it behind to dry and attract and hold on to dirt and grime. I used it on a white shag and the tips of the pile turned brown as it dried so I went through the whole process again only this time adding a clean water rinsing step and used my shop vac to remove the rinse water.

Why would I use the Shop-Vac to remove the water you might ask? Because these units do not have enough suction to do the job.

The cleaning solution container does not seal well when removing it from the unit so it tends to get messy and somewhere along the pathway in the unit seems to leak eventually.

The dry only function seems to be malfunctioning or it could be the leaky cleaning solution.

There are a lot of little nooks and crannies to clean after every use if you want to keep it operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Ultimately, in my humble opinion, they need to scrap this design and go back to the drawing board. If you remove the cleaning solution container it will make a decent but very expensive vacuum.Andrew

My Review of Vacuum: First thing to know is that our household has 5 Dogs and 3 Cats. So you can imagine the amount of pet hair we have to deal with all the time. Now, the setup of the vacuum was very easy, and the options to choose from are Brilliant. There are Attachments for every vacuum job in the house. Then, there are 6 – Types of Suction to choose from. The revolving brushes do an incredible job of separating each strand of rug. This allows the vacuum to remove stubborn pet hair easily. One of my Favourite things about the vacuum is the level of the sound it creates, is good and Quiet. The room I had decided to run my test with was the one with the worst amount of hair. No other vacuum I had owned in my 50 years of life was ever able to remove the deeper hair from within that room. This vacuum, not only removed all the pet hair, but I only needed to the one Dust Bag. I had forgotten how nice that rug was, and now it is very clean and elegant once again. All of the pet hair on our couch and chairs were removed with ease. I have never had any actual judgment for any of my prior vacuums before, but this one I take pleasure in using it; I think highly of the options for each different job. There are no jobs that it can not do. I don’t even have to change Attachments to go onto the next room which is Hardwood Flooring, as the options for the rotating brushes are easily turned off. Also, the convenient compact size allowed for easy movement to each room. Over all I can no longer see myself without this vacuum in my life. I had an upright Miele for 10 years and it finally died. Since they do not make uprights any longer, I purchased this with some hesitation. However, just as salesperson told me, it took me a bit but now2 I love it. It is so much lighter to move around. the pick up after my 3 indoor aussies is awesome. I love it!TERRY

I purchased used, so I expected some wear and dirt, but this thing was filthy. There were no bags (one bag wouldve been nice). I had to use a shop vac to clean the inside of the canister because it looked like a bag exploded in there. Then, I had make a trip to a specialty vacuum store to buy bags. Now, once that was all over, I have to say those Germans know whats up. This is the best vacuum Ive ever owned. I bought this to replace an almost 20 year old Oreck from when Mr. Oreck owned and ran the company. It was a tall bar to clear, but the Meile exceeded expectations. Its heavy and unwieldy, but Im sure Ill get used to that. The suction and carpet fluffing are amazing and made me rethink the need for new carpets in the kids rooms. That can wait a few more years. Great vacuum for quickly cleaning hard floors, blinds, upholstery, and trim. When I use it I find myself vacuuming other things as well since it is so convenient and powerful. The two attachments with bristles arrived with the bristles bent out of shape. Called Hoover and they sent replacements that also had bent out of shape bristles. Didn't bother trying a third time. Will have to put felt pad on edges of floor tool because I just noticed it is leaving black marks on the white trim. Wish wand attachment pieces could be used separately, sometimes the wand is too long to maneuver in tight spaces. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.CraftFish

This vacuum is powerful and easy to use in open areas. Very powerful suction. The long cord prevents constant stop and change outlets: I can almost vacuum my whole house without changing outlets. The attachment tools are a bit tricky; took a while to figure out how to get them on and off (no instructions in the manual on this) still don't know if I'm attaching them correctly but they are working. Quicker cleaning without a canister to drag around the room; stairwell is a breeze now. I can easily use the vacuum to dust the baseboards, cabinets, furniture and crown molding. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone with large open floor areas; not so much for small crowded rooms.REBECCA J.

I bought this item for my personal home use because of the greatly discounted price. When it arrived I found that the tools didn't fit the wand. The tools OD was smaller that the wand ID. I tried contacting the Hoover service department but was never able to get through, both on the phone and by email. I was able to fashion some sleeves for the tools so that they would fit the wand properly. The sleeves are simply metal tape wrapped around the flange. They attach securely and swivel as needed. Works fine for me since I just use the vacuum around the house. I only kept it because of the low price and the fact I don't use it that much. If I were using it on a daily basis, my fix wouldn't hold up and there would be the needed to reapply the tape, so I would have sent it back.Paul T.

Review of 7000 model. Pros: Well packaged upon delivery. As other reviewers have stated, the build quality is better than the brands you would find at big box stores. The carrying handle is convenient. Lots of innovative functional design with the attachments. Cons: The instruction manual is poor – for example does not explain how to adjust the rotating brush attachment, or the wand extension. The attachments from my old Kenmore upright do not fit on the Prolux tube or wand. There are 3 consumable components (dust bag, HEPA filter, exhaust filter). The HEPA filter costs $35 to replace. It is washable, but not clear how often I will need to wash or replace. Moreover, the dust bags are poor quality – dust passes right through the bag into the bag compartment. The dust bags provided with the 7000 are apparently not the micro filtration type found on many other vacuum cleaners. See attached photo of accumulated dust on inside of compartment cover after vacuuming 1 room with brand new unit – VERY disappointed with this. (Yes, I double checked to ensure the bag on new 7000 was properly attached, no holes in bag, etc.) Even my 35 year old Kenmore upright doesn't have this issue because it uses micro filtration bags. As a result, I will need to clean/replace the HEPA filter, and clean the inside of the bag compartment periodically. All of this translates to high maintenance cost (time and $) for this vacuum. Overall, I give the 7000 a 3-star rating, considering it costs much more than cheaper vacuums that do a better job of containing the dust in the dust bag.Randy

Pros: 1. Cord length is great 2. Ease of maneuvering 3. Ease of bare floor to rug 4. Suction is great if material is on right hand side of sweeper 5. Location of on/off switch 6. Sweeper stops when put in upright position Cons: 1. Suction only on right hand side of sweeper 2. Not as good on bare floors 3. Heat from vacuum seems to be intense. No need for household heater on when vacuum is in use. 4. Dislike location of filter above sweeper. Does have tendency to blow dust/lint on bare floors before you get to it with the vacuum unless you have the handle lowered so that the filter is not aimed at the floor. Received vacuum in December 2020. Have used it numerous times for dog hair as well as the normal vacuuming. Unable to verify if the 7000 picks up more than my previous canister vacuum.Marie F.

I love it the vacuum cleaner while it's new to me company. while I sold the Kirby vacuum after I upgrade on this seen pretty good. Kirby vacuum is good but lots go work have to keep polish keep brand new etc.. I had for Kirby for 20 years whole my life. it not too loud and very quite. I just notice brush roller is steels while is auto self off or on. I happy with this company. I really like bagged is much easy than bagless too much working. I will see you forward buyingRyan L.

I have two Mighty Mites. I like that it rolls easy due to its light weight. The long arm makes vacuuming fast and easy on the back. The cord is easy to wrap and store. The one improvement could be a softer, longer duster brush, but that would be icing on the cake. Mighty Mite is a very nice vacuum. I highly recommend it.valann33

I have wood floors and this is cleans so much better than sweeping/dust mopping. Good suction. Easy to use on the stairs, corners, air vents, upholstered furniture. When I empty & organize my "junk" drawer, I vacuum it. Also, I use it to clean my car's interior. I gave it only 4 stars because the quality of plastic this is now made of is cheap. This is my third Mighty Mite and my old ones were made of a sturdier plastic that withstood heavy use, even falling down stairs by accident. But this new plastic will crack easily and I'm not reckless with my vacuums either.jilradek

Pros: Excellent suction for a small vacuum. Long cord. Lightweight Uses a bag Cons: Arrived with a kinked hose I wanted to replace my small canister vacuum that I had for over 20 years. It had great suction but it was bagless and I hated cleaning out the disgusting filter. I spent a long time researching and reading reviews for small canister vacuums. I liked the weight and features of the might mite but was hesitant because of reviews that said the hose kinks. I decided to take a gamble and order it anyway. Unfortunately, upon arrival, my hose was kinked when I pulled it out of the box! I was so disappointed! They did eventually replace it and I absolutely love my new vacuum, but just be aware that the hose can definitely kink. I would have given this vacuum 5 stars had it arrived the first time with a working hose.SuzyQ
