I own 3 classic version and had to swap out a classic for a mountain bike version. My daughter has a Trek Roscoe which has 2.8 tires and they fit nicely to the rack. The stabilizer that comes with it is larger and not the same as the classic as mentioned in another review. The early models may have had the smaller stabilizers but the one I purchased. I REALLY like the fact they swing close to the walls which helps with storage. You have to use the side of the stabilizer to do this.Rye
I was looking for a couple garage racks for our e-bikes that would work in our double garage. Space was tight and the e-bikes weigh about 25kgs each so we needed a rack that was space saving yet didn't require lifting each bike. After a lot of research on e-bike forums, I pulled the trigger on a couple SteadyRacks (the fender compatible versions). I mounted them on either side of the garage, about a meter inside and away from the garage door, roughly in line with the back of our vehicles so we had enough space to load each bike onto it's rack and swing them against the wall. Swinging each e-bike up onto it's rear wheel so you can walk and guide it into the rack takes a bit of practice but it's easily mastered. Now when we come back from a ride, we open the garage door, rotate the rack so it faces out 45 degrees from the wall, swing the e-bike up onto its rear wheel, roll it onto the rack, and then swing the e-bike and rack against the wall so it's out of the way. These are a pain to mount because it comes in four pieces: two separate arms and two separate plates. And the arms are just heavy enough that it's a pain to hold it in place while trying to put in the screws or bolts. The other reason I didn't like these very much is they don't extend out far enough. In order to get the handle bars away from the wall, I had to put up two layers of 4×4's to get the stand-off I needed to clear the wall.Richard

The product was easy to install, and it has been holding my bike up for a month with nothing falling down in the middle of the night. I don't have a lot of storage space, so this was a good solution for me. But, if you are short like me (5 foot nothing), you may find it difficult to get your bike into the rack. It was doable in the end, but took a couple of tries to get the bike hooked in. This has nothing to do with the rack itself, and everything to do with how high I needed to hold my bike (and keep it steady) in order to hook the wheel in. To hold it steady, easily, at that angle, with my height, requires a higher level of upper body strength than I currently possess. On the upside, I get a cardio workout every time I need to move my bike.
This is a strong and well designed, well made product with a good paint finish. It works really well and the bike wheel rim is well protected from damage due to a hefty rubber protector. The only puzzle for me is why they suggest hanging the bike from the front wheel, when it seems more secure to me to hang it from the rear wheel, which is how i use it. Highly recommended.richard7650

Nice bike hanger with quality mounting hardware. Depending on the bike's balancing point, a water bottle cage might get in the way when you hang it vertically, but it still works. Shipping was fast! I purchased 4 of these to mount 2 adult and 2 children bikes in my garage. During the initial mounting of 2 of the 4 bikes the rubber covering on the wheel hook ripped. Not a great start it appears that the rubber may be too soft a durometer to handle the bike wheel. I went back to the store I purchased these in and they indicated that they hadn't sold many of these and hadn't had any prior feedback. They offered to refund if I returned them. I chose to keep them rather then uninstall and find a new solution. I came up with my own way to secure the rubber cover.Joe Z

I have two of these hanging on a wall in my house. They are so much nicer than the old school hooks I’ve used in a garage. When you hang the bike, the weight of the bike actually applies force back into the wall, making it more secure. I was careful to hit studs – I think the weight of the bike might be too much for the drywall alone. My two mountain bikes – one a whopping 29er with full suspension – have been secure for 5 months now. It took maybe 30 minutes to install them – most of that time was spent finding studs. Living in a rented apartment with no wall studs, I learned the hard way that no masonry screw anchor could hold up my steel frame bike. Not five minutes after securing to the wall, my bike crashed to the floor and flung Leonardo Da Vinci across the room. Granted, the directions explicitly state this must be secured to a 2×4 wall stud, so the product integrity is covered–I didn't follow directions. I couldn't. My solution, after spending 20 minutes cursing the product and my stud-less walls, was simply to flip it upside down. The rack is designed to have the top tire rest on metal (to possibly avoid marking the wall?), which drastically increases the lateral force pulling on the top of the rack. Drywall/masonry anchors are best used for downward forces, so, by inverting the rack, the directional force moves more vertical. I had my wife test this by holding the rack with one hand and pulling with the other–try it for yourself, you'll see what I mean. For added stability, I added a small, iron horizontal crosspiece with two more screws near the top of the rack. It still stands 4 days later, so I'm guessing it worked.umpkinpeter

Rack arrived quickly but is not as advertised. The hooks in the photo on the Monkeybar website are straight out from the plate that holds them which puts them at 45 degrees to the wall, which is perfect for holding a bicycle tire. THe hooks on that came in the box are bent at 45 degrees to the plate that holds them which make them parallel to either the wall or the floor. at this angle and distance from the wall it is pretty much impossible to mount a bike with mountain bike tires on the hook. I have sent two emails to Moneybars and have yet to receive a response?? Can I get straight hooks?Gordon
This rack simply does not hold a full size bike against the wall properly and quite frankly I do not know how anyone could actually get 6 bikes on it without having them considerably tangled with one another. Almost impossible to get a bike off in a smooth manner. At most it can hold 3 full sized bikes without overlapping contact and 4 bikes with some handlebar and crank contact between bikes. But again, they just do not sit against the wall as shown in the picture (perfectly aligned and vertical). I am incredibly disappointed in this rack.jason

This is an excellent bike rack from and excellent company. I ordered the 3 bike mount and it fits the bikes i have, I assume that if I had ordered the 6 bike mount, the mount would have probably been sent as a set of 2 mounts that are both about 32ish inches long. Which is good because if you dont have the space on a single wall you mount in 2 different locations. It came with all the hardware needed to install into wood studs but I installed into concrete. I used self anchoring screws of the same size as the included lag bolts. Which worked fine and didnt cause any clearance issues with the actual bike mounting hardware. With all this said it was a very easy install. This is an american based company and seem like a small company because not shortly after receiving my rack i got another package in the mail contain additional screws because there had been a report of the lag bolts sheering. 10/10 recommend and would buy again.Dan
I collect vintage and antique bicycles as well as have comfort and mountain bikes that we ride. I needed a way to get them organized and off of the floor to gain more room. It will hold two bikes, at least road bikes but they will lean into each other and maybe have inappropriate bike relationships in the process. It seems the designers only visualize road bike handle bars. Only one mountain bike can fit on this on the outer most spot. In truth, I returned the product because it was not right for me. Took it out of the box, found the stud behind the drywall, sank in two screws and the rack was installed. 30 seconds later my bike was hanging on the wall. Done. I have a road style bike with flat top tube and the adjustable rack arms hold it well. The rubber ends at the end of the arms protect the frame from scratches and I was able to adjust the arms so that the bike sits not quite level but a little forward so the handlebars don't flop side-to-side when hung on the wall. The rack looks understated when not holding the bike and not really noticeable but quite minimal. I don't use the accessory hook for my helmet as I don't like all this stuff it looking cluttered on the wall. I'm very happy with this rack. Not a super great purchase; now have to note that item was on clearance. I haven't mounted on a wall yet, but I was annoyed that the item was a previously opened box and the extra hook was missing; there was an extra part but it doesn't belong to the bike rack. Set up was quick and easy. Holds my hybrid bike with a strong grip, and adjusts for my other bikes. Bike goes in and out of the clamp easily. I am very satisfied with this product – good value. The Jaw is not for holding bikes up off the floor – it secures the front wheel of bike in the upright position while keeping the the weight of the back wheel on the floor. In theory, these should be great. In reality, they are awful. We have followed all instructions/recommendations and tried all adjustments, but our bikes continue to randomly fall off the wall. We have one roadbike and two hardtail mountain bikes that are all within the suggested weight range. One of our bikes was damaged when it fell. Don't buy these.L Baron
