The Kent Handmade 16T is the King or Queen of combs, simply the best. It's not a pocket comb, it's a larger and longer comb in length and in tooth height. Designed to be kept out, or in a drawer in your master bath, it is unisex, and it can travel in a medium purse, but not in a smaller sized handbag. It's large enough for the longer lengths of thick hair and yet precision crafted to a degree where folks with shorter thinner hair will also get excellent performance. Another design quality is how easily it cleans up after use, just run it under the hottest tap water and it can be shared among the family. Each of the two sides are long enough to work independently from the other, course will untangle stubborn conditions and the fine tooth side works exceptionally well for refinement work. The only hair that I can see finer tooth combs excelling at by comparison is very fine thinning hair, as with a balding man … then a smaller fine tooth comb would be best. A pleasant little comb for my edc. It can tackle my birds-nest hair without bending or creating unwanted static; I'm pretty impressed. If I had to complain about one thing, it wouldn't be the comb itself – I opted for the olive colored shell cordovan case as well, and while it seems extremely durable (and smells just as amazing as quality leather should), the stamping/coloring seems off. The "olive" green is much more saturated than it appeared in the pictures, and some of the ink from the stamping seems to have bled/rubbed off onto other sections of the case. I also find little use in the ring end of the comb, as I prefer to hold it by the middle to better support it, as some unfavorable reviews have mentioned this comb snapping in half too easily. I feel nitpicky for even going into such semantics, as this is holistically a great buy. Maybe opt for a different case style if the idea of a lusher green concerns you, but I mean… it's cordovan, the king of leathers. I'd be hard-pressed to say I even remotely regret it.Jaytal

Model NO.1 Carbon fiber Nice little comb, Zero static on dry hair, weighs next to nothing, tines are at the perfect distance to hold water via surface tension to "wet" the comb if you so desire. I like the hole, helps to grip it. Also great for taming my beard and mustache. A little snaggy in the beard, but everything is. My only criticism is that it's just a bit too long. If it was just about 1 cm shorter it'd be perfect. It just so happens it was the exact width of the back pockets of most of my pants. It would wedge itself tightly in there on occasion and got stuck several times. I ended up modifying it by trimming off about 1/2" from the end. It's almost perfect now. This is the first comb I ever carried on my person, it's really nice tool to freshen up midday. I highly recommend keeping a comb with you, it sounds silly but it made a big difference. The carbon fiber offers more flexibility than I expected, making these combs more flexible than the metal feel I expected, and honestly more flexible than other combs I've owned – including cheaper tortoiseshell and sandalwood combs. The lack of carbon fiber grain means that if you handed these combs to a friend who didn't know their construction, they'd probably guess they're plastic. Also, they're about 1.5 the size I expected by looking at the pictures. Just make sure to check the stats on the comb you're looking at buying. Didnt work for my type of hair. I have pretty thick mixed hair that will fro out. I was using a sponge to get twist that end up lookin like free form dreads. My hairs prolly like 5in long. I tried this comb for about a 1 hour and I wasnt getting the separation or form I seen in the video. Ima stick with the sponge. Product feels and looks like a tennis racket.
