I absolutely love this cleanser, I use it every single night for my night time regime. I got it for $15.99 from ultra's website but you can buy it on the brand's site for a dollar less. I would not recommend using this if you have cystic acne. I had really bad and inflamed acne for a while and using this cleanser alone didn't do enough for me. I did not have cystic acne either. Salicylic acid is a betahydroxy acid (BHA) and is the main ingredient in this cleanser. This is definitely effective but not using it by itself. If your acne is not so severe you could probably use it alone and it will clear up but in my own experiences I had to get on a prescribed astringent medication given by my doctor. Using that along with the effacer cleanser has slowly been able to fight off my acne. Overall this cleanser is pretty amazing and is a great tool in controlling my acne. I love it and it is pretty affordable, you can't beat it!jillian.g

La Roche-Posay in general has some of my favorite skincare products so I wasn't surprised! It's very mild, lathers beautifully, and leaves your face feeling extremely clean without being tight or stripped of moisture. There was a noticeable difference in the clearness of my skin within the first week of use! I like to wipe my makeup off with a microfibre cloth first, then wash my face with this cleanser to get the first layer of makeup and gunk off. I wash my face a second time to let the salicylic acid penetrate into my pores and truly deep clean my face. 2-3 times a week I'll also use a konyaku sponge to gently exfoliate my skin on the second use. Hi, my name is Diane and I have recently started using the Tree To Tub products on my face. I love them. First thing I tried was the um soap berry for your face. I washed my face with. It has a wonderful scent and wash it morning and evening and it just leaves my skin very moisturized. It's um very mild. And then after that I dry and I use this, it's called Ginseng Green Tea and it's a moisturizer. I love it. It has all their products have such a lovely light scent and I, you know, put it on my face and it just moisturizes my skin. I think it's making my, I have no makeup on right now. It's making my skin um just feel very moisturized and not quite as wrinkled and my pores are a little smaller. Then after the green tea I use uh the ginseng green tea hyaluronic toner. You just spritz it on a couple of times. It's, it just smells wonderful. I love it. And then the last product I use is the double hyaluronic hydration serum and they all go together and it just hydrates my skin very well. I never feel greasy or oily. I bought this facial soap because lavender is supposed to relax you when trying to sleep. Ive switched my normal nighttime soap to this. I won't say it makes me sleepy, but I'm enjoying the scent, and it does seem to relax me before bed, just a little but thats all i need to fall asleep. I enjoyed washing my face with this product. It has a fresh almost minty scent. It goes on very creamy which feels nice and then lathers in a froth. When I rinsed it off, my skin felt a bit firm. I switched from a physical exfoliant (scrub) to this chemical exfoliant (benzoyl peroxide). This product is much more gentle on the skin and still leaves my skin feeling soft right away. I've used the classic CeraVe foaming cleanser/moisturizer/retinol serum/night cream for years. I did a course of strong meds a year and a half ago and it cleared my skin completely. After full-time mask wearing started up again, my acne came back a bit so I decided to try this cleanser after having such good experiences with all their other products. It cleared my skin after only a few days! But be careful – I developed a painful itchy rash around my lips and mouth that took steroids to clear up because of how much this cleanser irritated that area of my face. I had been using salicylic acid for a while and didn’t understand why my acne was not clearing. Until my dermatologist informed me that SA is better for whitehead & blackhead type of acne (which I did not have). 4% benzoyl peroxide is a great amount if you’re just introducing benzoyl peroxide to the skin. I was looking for a gentle cleanser to use at night – I've started applying retinol in my night routines – and I found the Aveeno Foaming Clear Complexion cleanser at Kroger's and decided to give it a try. The amount of foam that comes through the pump is perfect to wash my entire face. The fragrance is delicate and refreshing. After rinsing it off, my skin feels soft and super clean, something I wasn't expecting, to be honest. I've used another foaming cleanser that didn't make me feel like my skin was 100% clean. One thing that is important to mention is that before the cleanser, I always use a cleansing oil to remove my makeup and sunscreen and I wasn't sure if this one would totally remove what's left of it. I also wore/wear SPF 50+ sunscreen regularly. The first few days, my skin flaked a little, but that was normal when trying a new acne cleanser. But after a week, my skin was red and peeling, and blisters suddenly formed on my chin. I went a few weeks without washing my face entirely, due to the pain. I opted to use a gentle face wipe, as well as slathering heavy moisturizers and Vaseline all day. I had not used any type of acne products in months prior, so I do not suspect any residual reactions. I had tried many products with SA in the past, including the Neutrogena SA cleanser in both gel and liquid form. There is always some irritation, especially when my skin is adjusting to a new product, but it was never so severe. (I only use acne-focused cleansers as necessary, and prefer hydrating cleansers that are eye-safe). Personally, I suspect that the combination of foam cleanser+SA was too drying for my combo skin. Even with oily skin, I do not recommend using this on a daily basis. And when you do use such a drying product, always pair with a good moisturizer and excellent sun protection! (It will also help you realize if the cleanser itself is to blame for any reactions, instead of sun damage or dry skin). 3 stars because the negative reactions were so harsh, but I was still able to use the rest of the bottle for my body acne, and it was surprisingly effective and non-irritating. A very risky trial-and-error.
I have been struggling with acne on and off and even more recently during the pandemic maybe because of the masks. I normally don't have makeup on when I use a mask but if I do it's just for a brief few minutes. I have been getting a lot of acne on my jaws, cheeks and temples, even on my forehead now. My oils are well under control with this…it's almost like it helps to balance your oils because it definitely doesn't leave your skin dry. **For reference** I always follow up as usual with my #sweetchefskincare Vitamin c + Ginger serum shot in the AM and then my #Cetaphil Derma Oil control SPF 30 Moisturizer and in the night, after cleansing, I use #Neutrogena Acne Stress control toner along with #Neutrogena Retinol eye creamelizabeth.a

I absolutely love this cleanser, I use it every single night for my night time regime. I got it for $15.99 from ultra's website but you can buy it on the brand's site for a dollar less. I would not recommend using this if you have cystic acne. I had really bad and inflamed acne for a while and using this cleanser alone didn't do enough for me. I did not have cystic acne either. Salicylic acid is a betahydroxy acid (BHA) and is the main ingredient in this cleanser. This is definitely effective but not using it by itself. If your acne is not so severe you could probably use it alone and it will clear up but in my own experiences I had to get on a prescribed astringent medication given by my doctor. Using that along with the effacer cleanser has slowly been able to fight off my acne. Overall this cleanser is pretty amazing and is a great tool in controlling my acne. I love it and it is pretty affordable, you can't beat it!jillian.g
to keep it short i have sensitive, acne prone, dry skin. my acne was mild/ medium. i had issues with hormonal/ cystic acne that just always kept coming back no matter what. i tried this cleanser and yes my skin felt super clean, but then i noticed breakouts. i did some research and soon found out my skin was purging (i had no idea what that meant). people are not educated enough about skin purging and it is actually a good thing because it really cleanses out your pores and pushes all the dirt to the surface (causing texture, white heads and blackheads) but it gets better. it's just a whole process of really cleansing your pores and you have to be patient. i would advise you really do your research on breakouts vs skin purging when trying a new product with an active ingredient. i do really love this cleanser though, but I would've hated it if i wasn't educated on what skin purging is because id think this product is just causing breakouts.victoria
I love and adore this product If you are like me and have some sort of combination acne like, cystic but also fungal but you don't know what to do or have tried everything? This product is for you!! It took about five days of regular routine of this project as well as their other two (which I will mention) to clear my skin, this is perfect for sensitive skin like mine and combination skin as well. I start off by using this cleanser, i foam it up a dime size amount in my hands and then I wash my face and under my chin/neck, I rinse off and repeat again just to really cleanse my skin. Then I dry my skin lightly and I go in with their step two toner, I take a cotton pad with a little amount and brush it all over my flared up areas. After I use their step three benzol peroxide and lightly glaze some of the cream over my entire face(NOT EYES) This is just my nightly routine, in the morning I just wash my face with the cleanser or else it is too drying . This product also lightened my acne scarring, please try this routine and keep up with it for at least a week and I promise there will be a difference in your skin. For the past three years, I've been using PanOxyl face wash. My physician prescribed this face wash because I was looking for something to help with my acne. I've always had reasonably clear skin, but I've always had oily skin with acne scars. After doing so many sports and sweating so much, I started getting severe acne. I started using the 10% Benzoyl Peroxide face wash on both my face and back, and I noticed a difference in both areas within a week. My acne scars started to diminish, and I saw very few pimples. Have you tried everything to rid your face and shoulders of acne?! Well my husband has, from Clinique's new acne line to Murad Salicylic acid products and Proactive all with no improvement! Over they years we have spent endless time and $$$ trying to help his skin improve. I am so happy to say we found the holy grail in PanOxyl, while being a bit to harsh for my less oily skin it has worked wonders for his overly oily skin in just a week of use! Being that it has the highest concentration of Benzoyl Peroxide (the ingredient in proactive but has a much higher amount per bottle) you can find without a prescription makes it safe to use unlike the damaging side effects he endured using Acutane at age 19. I have him using a gel or water based moisturizer after to replace some of the moisture it removes plus sunblock as this product can cause skin to be more sensitive to harsh UV rays. It has cleared his adult acne to almost zero in just a week, I can't stress that enough. He is much happier with the results than he ever has and I'm a much happier wife knowing he feels good about his skin (and I can stop hunting for more products)! To preface, I have fair skin that is pretty sensitive and prone to dryness and occasional hormonal acne. My go to cleansers are Dermologica Daily Microfoliant and Vanicream gentle face wash. Decided to add this product to my rotation after dealing with a couple of stubborn hormonal/maskne breakouts and being recommended this brand by a friend. Due to the high % of salicylic acid, i only used it 2-3 times a week. This is an effective cleanser that doesn't break me out, which I appreciate considering I have oily, acne-prone skin. However, this cleanser tends to dry my face after I use it if I don't immediately follow up with a hydrating product such as a toner. I initially bought this cleanser because it also has salicylic acid, but I have since learned these type of cleansers are not as effective (if at all) as leave-on products because the active ingredients are washed off before they likely have a chance to work. I have added a leave-on BHA to my routine, so I don't rely on the "medicated" aspect of this cleanser. This cleanser also doesn't remove eye makeup well if I haven't used a makeup remover beforehand. Given that this cleanser does not break me out, I will continue using it until I finish the bottle. However, I will probably not buy this particular cleanser again because it is drying for me and also because the salicylic acid is unnecessary.tomis

I'll start by letting you know that I'm not pregnant, but I am mother of two little ones. After dealing with several months of hormonal acne and trying several different face washes, I stumbled across this on Ulta's website and thought, "what the heck, it's worth a shot." Well I can confirm that this is by far the best face wash I have ever used!! Just after one week of use my acne was cleared up. I'm now on week 4 or 5 of using this face wash and I haven't had a single break out!! That's a big deal!! Even through my cycle, which is when I would always have a break out, I didn't have a single breakout this time. I've had a couple of little white heads but they never developed into an actuale pimple. I also have always had an issue with black heads on my chin and nose. I have seen a huge improvement with that as well. My skin is overall so much healthier and smoother!! I use this face wash twice a day, at night when I'm removing makeup I first use my dove beauty bar (just your basic white dove bar soap, if you've never used it, try it!! It's amazing at taking make up off) to remove my makeup and then use this cleanser to make sure all is clean. In the morning I use only this cleanser. I also purchased the vitamin c moisturizer, which I LOVE, and the face scrub, also amazing! I don’t know how they do it but I am so in love with this cleanser! Most acne washes have dried my face out and actually caused more harm to my skin because of how sensitive my skin is. However, this wash is such a miracle cleanser for me! Finally found the perfect cleanser for my face and skin type. I've already noticed a huge difference in overall oil reduction, texture, and clogged pores, so I'm pleased. I have combo oily/dry skin on my face, so some areas over produce oil and some areas are drier than a desert. But a couple of things I noticed about this cleanser is it works really well to unclog the oily areas and keep them moisturized a bit. After about 4 days, I did notice the salicylic acid starting to work and my face was flaking off, but that's what it's supposed to do. So I added some Jergens Ultra Healing lotion to my routine and WOW it's effective. The dry parts of my face are moist, the oily parts are moist but not oily. Would recommend.Luftherz
I have been dealing with constant breakouts for years, since middle school, and I’m 22 now. I just started using this face wash in May 2022 and it has been a life saver. Not only did it clear my breakouts but if I do breakout, it’s one or two pimples. Which for me is more than manageable and an improvement. It also has gradually been fading my acne scars as well. I have now sworn by this face wash to friends and family. This face wash is extremely gentle as my skin didn’t “purge” like it has when I first started using other face washes. I received the CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser for reviewing purposes. I have combination skin nose and chin very oily, forehead is super dry rest of face is normal. I also get hormonal acne. With all that said I find this product actually whole line really great. I have only been using for about 3 weeks so I am just over the purging stage but I am seeing my pores getting smaller also not having as much redness. It also great at getting a full face of makeup off. I recommend this product to everyone just know your skin will do a pruge so your skin will look worst before it looks better.Sami

This products are great. I bought from Target store $4.89. Which is better for acne wash than OXY pads has smell so strong of chemical ingredients. First time I washed my face with acne wash, so I squeeze less need add bit more. I shaved out my beard after I recognizes my face of sideburns had acne and nose and chin. I was teenager didn't good for many acne of my face and ears, and doctor give a medicine called acne treatment cream. I wished not buy pad or cream again. Good!

This product absolutely changed my skin. I first got it during the winter, and it did dry my skin out. I stopped using it for several months until the summer when my skin was significantly oilier and needed some form of exfoliation. I decided to go back to this and see if it would help my breakouts without irritating my skin. My OH MY!!!!! Within just 2 weeks, my skin transformed. I tried this at first as a spot treatment and continued to breakout but didn't attribute this to the cleanser till I began using it on my whole face the next day. I used this product twice in one day and then felt my skin begin to burn. My skin is more oily and sensitive but this product dried my skin out so much that it feels tight and even flaked in areas, especially above my lips and T-zone. The following day I woke up to a new level of breakout and a red bumpy rash that I'm still trying to get rid of. My face looks and feels as if it were chemically burned! It's red, inflamed and is covered in bumps now! I would not suggest this to anyone. I have more oily skin and now my skin is tight, dry, red, inflamed and painful!Amy C.

This cleanser is incredible. I've used so many cleansers and nothing has performed like this one. Its cleared my skin gently and kept it clear in a matter of days. I absolutely love this cleanser! I have acne prone skin (combination and sensitive as well) and have been using it in conjunction with the other products from the Rael Miracle Clear (toner and barrier cream) and my skin has been thriving! This cleanser is non-drying, gentle, and smells light/clean. It foams up well and lathers nicely making my face feel clean and refreshed after wearing makeup, working out, etc. A small amount goes a long way. I was hesitant at first because of the "exfoliating" part of the name, because I avoid scrubs that can cause micro tears in my skin, however this product does not contain beads whatsoever. Really liking this cleanser. It feels creamy but also seems to cleanse well. I like how it has barely any scent. It has the faintest citrusy smell, but is mostly scent less. I think it has helped with my small breakouts. It is also nice that it is a pretty good sized tube so it should last a while.Audrey

e.l.f. cosmetics Acne Clarifying Cleanser really works on my blemish prone skin! I have been using this product two times a day (morning and evening) every day for almost two weeks now. I noticed that the directions on the back of the box say that the product can be used up to three times a day and to apply the medication after cleansing the skin, but the side of the box instructs you to use this product as a cleanser twice a day. Strange. This is a cleanser, so I would stick with the "How To Use" on the side of the box. With my skin type, using this product three times a day is likely too harsh for my face. I have noticed that my skin does have that tight feeling after using the product, but that is how I know it is really doing its job! The cleanser is supposed to gently help remove the excess oils that your face produces, so as a result, your skin feels tighter. I apply some lightweight moisturizer, and instantly, my face feels hydrated again. I love that this product is clean and kind: vegan and cruelty free. I was pleasantly surprised with this face wash. First of all, you really can't beat the price point. Second, it's surprisingly mild for being an acne cleanser with salicylic acid. It didn't dry out my skin at all. It's made of a ton of nourishing ingredients you can usually only find in high end face washes. It does an excellent job of removing makeup. My skin feels clean and fresh without feeling stripped, and I've already noticed a reduction in breakouts. My very sensitive skin is very happy so far. I highly recommend.Ashleigh
Y'all this e.l.f cosmetics Acne Clarifying Cleanser is off the chain ! So I normally never use acne products because they seem to always irritate my skin and cause my breakouts to become really worse , I know they say alot of time it makes them worse because it's pulling everything out , but I don't have time for my face to get worse so I just don't simply use it ..well I decided to give this a try and I am AMAZED!! I love how foamey it gets first of all and I only use 2 squirts on my whole face! It doesn't smell like alot of other acne cleansers this actually smells amazing ! I have been using this cleanser for 2 weeks. I have definitely seen an improvement in the less oiliness of my skin.However I have not see any hint that my blemishes are going away. I have also seen an improvement in my pores, they have started to shrink ever so slightly. This is a great cleanser for oily skin would definitely recommend. I would also recommend leaving this cleanser on your face for 3 minutes to let it soak in then rinse off. I used this with a combination of duac gel in the evening.Cera
I've suffered from dermatillomania for years and I've always been insecure about my skin and its texture but I have been using this blemish control for a while now along with the hydrating cleanser and honestly I'm so shocked how well it's treated my skin and scars. I relapse every few days and I've never seen results so fast and amazing as this, not to mention I see it as early as after the first or second use, and it only gets better after that. Every cleanser I've ever used can never top this I cant believe I overlooked it and didn't get it sooner it's really slowly brought back my confidence, something I haven't experienced in a while. I really do recommend this whether you're just really into skincare or struggle like I do or more excessively. Just make sure you moisturise afterwards because it leaves your skin really dry but this is completely normal as it dries your spots out. I've been using this morning and night daily, as well as alongside the Blemish Control Gel in an evening and they are fantastic. The cleanser applies well and leaves a nice lather to your skin when applied. It rinses easily and leaves your skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Having used both products together they work in harmony to reduce your blackheads. I've noticed my skin has massively improved since I started using them. Not only have my blackheads reduced and my dry skin improved, my pores are cleaner and my face looks fresher and healthy.
