I was giving my husband haircuts during the pandemic. He wants me to continue but, he told me he had seen the Barber Eliminator but was afraid if it didn't work he would have spent money for nothing. I told him Hammacher Schlemmer always will give a refund if we are not satisfied so he ordered one. He has used it twice. It works beautifully. Of course, he is 78 years old with a partially balding top of the head and longer sides. Using the eliminator on the top of his head was awesome. He was just a bit timid about using it on the back and sides so he put it to the highest setting. I watched as he moved it around his head.( I recommend that you have someone observe when you first start out.) The haircut was very nice. My husband's hair was a little longer than the man's hair in the HS photo but it still worked well. What with the pandemic and not having that much hair to worry about I took the plunge and purchased these as I had basically been getting a Number 2 at the barbers anyway. Normal clippers look cumbersome to use on yourself so this looked ideal. And indeed it is. Easy to handle, easy to use, quick and fast, very easy to use. Im now keeping my hair trimmed every week and I think I've visited the barbers for the last time. Only thing id say is be careful with the comb you select. 2mm is not a Number 2. I purchased these clippers to trade up from my old ones as a Drive Up order. The brand itself isn’t bad, the problem is that they were USED & cleaned very well but a lot of oil residue & fingerprints were left on the clippers. The oil & cleaning brush were missing, as well as combs 8 & 1 1/2… the comb bag & the hair catcher/guard vest thing all those items that are supposed to come in the set were missing. Such a disappointment since my husband & son were in need of a haircut! Looks I have to order them online. Employees should really check returned items before putting them back on the shelf! I bought this item after spending some time to find the better haircut kit (only in Wahl brand). Though there are several models available around price range of $30-$50, i have chosen this model mainly for the powerful motor, carded usage(this is good to get max power, so less time to finish the haircut). This kit has all the stuff that required for different hair cuts. though in my first usage i have only used one clipper, but it will be of no difference for other clippers. The performance is great, i was able to complete in around 15 minutes(first time it took long time, but if we get comfortable in using, it will be less than 10 min i guess). other good option is sharpening the hair edges with the clipper directly. this is very nice. this has an extended warranty compared to other models. If you are looking for a nice wahl clipper, this is defnitely a best choice.

Bought to replace a 10 year-old corded trimmer (Wahl Super Taper – still going strong), this does the job but feels cheap and poorly finished in comparison. The motor is powerful and the blades cut well but had sharp points which drew blood when used unguarded – unlike the more rounded points of the Super Taper – a gentle filing smoothed them down, but shouldn't have been necessary. The cleverly colored blade guards were hard plastic and also had sharp ends that caught the skin – gentle filing fixed that too, but shouldn't have been necessary. The blade adjustment lever catches on the edge of the thin plastic body where the two halves join. The plastic body itself feels flimsy. The rubberised on/off switch doesn't properly engage unless pressed right in, so the motor will stop when you press it but start again when you release it if you didn't depress it far enough. So, I'm not really sure if I just got lucky, or if the instructions combined with the color coded guards made it happen- but wow. I surprised myself. My boyfriend needed a simple haircut, with a fade on the sides and this did the trick! I especially liked the ear guards, which made trimming around the delicate areas alot easier. After two to three uses, I became very comfortable with the device and can confidently provide at home haircuts similar to what my partner got at the salon (and better than what he got at a barber). Note: I only use the clipper around the lower portion of the head and I cut the top portions using the scissor/comb method. The clipper doesn't do fine detail or give a close shave (to really clean up the nape or side burns). Despite that, the clipper is an important part of my COVID haircut toolkit and has already paid for itself in terms of what my partner would pay for a haircut. The safety of knowing he can stay well-groomed without risk also makes the price of the clipper an exceptional deal. He has thick curly hair that grows quickly (up and out). As a first time wig buyer, my remarks will no doubt have those of you more experienced rolling your eyes. Firstly, this is not a "take from box, shake out, put on your head and go wig." I had to work with it quite a bit and I'm still not quite satisfied with the style. The color is lovely, the fit is good. The straw-like texture of the hair is a little disappointing, especially around the face. I believe it has possibilities and I am going to keep it. Permatease is abundant and shows thru due to thiness overall and the color is too bright golden yellow where the highlites not noticeable. The color description of creamy toffee is 50/50 DARK Blonde and CREAMY BLOND. The color I received for CREAMY TOFFEE matches the description of Spring Honey which is HONEY BLOND and PLATINUM. I don't go by the color swatch alone while also checking the color description. This wig is not the right color indicated. Felicity is simply a great all around girl! The fibers are not too shiny, realistic and comb out easily. It's a no frills cap, that would fit an average, however because my head is petite, I take her in, to remove the bulk. One does however have to really work with obscuring the permatease. But the more you move the fibers around, it's great. I love wearing mine in a twisted updo. I do trim the length, but that's my personal preference as I have a petite face. I purchased these clippers to trade up from my old ones as a Drive Up order. The brand itself isn’t bad, the problem is that they were USED & cleaned very well but a lot of oil residue & fingerprints were left on the clippers. The oil & cleaning brush were missing, as well as combs 8 & 1 1/2… the comb bag & the hair catcher/guard vest thing all those items that are supposed to come in the set were missing. Such a disappointment since my husband & son were in need of a haircut! Looks I have to order them online. Employees should really check returned items before putting them back on the shelf! After our previous Wahl stopped cutting (after some 15 + years of averaging 3 thick haircuts/month), we bought this set on sale. Nice smooth cutting and nice feel. Our old guides don't fit but these seem sturdy and good, although we've only done a few haircuts so far. It's always nice to have the whole package. I bought this item after spending some time to find the better haircut kit (only in Wahl brand). Though there are several models available around price range of $30-$50, i have chosen this model mainly for the powerful motor, carded usage(this is good to get max power, so less time to finish the haircut). This kit has all the stuff that required for different hair cuts. though in my first usage i have only used one clipper, but it will be of no difference for other clippers. The performance is great, i was able to complete in around 15 minutes(first time it took long time, but if we get comfortable in using, it will be less than 10 min i guess). other good option is sharpening the hair edges with the clipper directly. this is very nice. this has an extended warranty compared to other models. If you are looking for a nice wahl clipper, this is defnitely a best choice.

As far as the men in my life, this set works great for the first couple of months, but the clipper itself falls apart after that. It's cheap enough to replace, but I wouldn't buy it again. This isn't my first Wahl purchase so I can say with confidence this is NOT one of their better trimers. I bought it because I was looking for a cordless option. It felt bulky and slippery in my hands. I cut my husband and sons hair. I'm not petit so if I say Its bulky its not cuz I have small hands. The whole thing is also smooth so its not ergonomic to hold and once you turn it on and it starts buzzing it gets even worse to hold on too. It was very uncomfortable even for a 10 min haircut.
