I've had mine for about 3-4 weeks now. It seems to be accurate though it does need the full 7 days calibration before you take any VOC data for face value. When it gets in the yellow zone I open the windows to ventilate and the numbers go down. I mainly bought it for my car as I got headaches and yawning. It's small size means I just pop it in my drink holder and it fits perfectly. Wow! Inside my car is very toxic. So I've ordered a car air purifier. I'm also curious about the decomposing mouse in my bedroom so I plan to get another mini. I'll use a good air purifier that tackles VOC and the mini will be my indicator when I can move back into my bedroom. The mini is very intuitive and easy to set up. I love my little wave mini, its easy to install and takes 7 days to calibrate after installation and then you can download the app to your phone and monitors indoor TVOC levels, temperature, humidity and indoor quality readings. The best way to find out how the air quality is at your house, just wave your hand and if it turns green it means your air quality is good, if its yellow which means its not so good and if its red which means the air quality at your house is in danger. I think every house should have this as these days radon gas is the second most cause of leading lung cancer and by monitoring the air quality at our house we can be alert and more cautious towards the environment. I am on my first month about 15 days and I like this machine. I drive Trucks for a living and need to have a machine that will make a data readout that I can print out and give my doctor when it is time for my yearly Medical Physical card renew. I have checked out the read out after the second day to see how it works and it will do fine. This machine is very easy to use and easy to setup. I find myself checking the display more to see if its time to replace water or clean the filter (not something I do normally). Get one and try it before they are no longer sold. The Intelipap is a great machine so far. It is quiet and comfortable. The ramp on this machine works well. Very quiet, very quiet. However, it is about the same size and weight as my home machine. I have not tried it yet without the humidifier. I have not found the attachment for a data card, but I haven't really looked for it. So, I would call it excellent as a home machine. For someone who travels overseas ate least five times a year and travels within the USA several times a month, and rarely checks luggage, it is heavier and bigger than I would hope for. In reviewing the alternative "travel machines" online, they are smaller and lighter, but the most common negative issue was the noise level. I have two of these machines (one for the home bedroom and one for travel). I have had the oldest for over 10 years. I tried several machines through the years until I got this machine. It is a great machine. Dependable and very quiet. I too developed a leak. I found that there is a gasket between the two halves of the humidifier. After ordering a new gasket and replacing it – the leak problem stopped. I have never had to replace the humidifier section.joeb

Out of all the AlcoMate models, this one is the most difficult to use. It shuts off suddenly and it is hard for me to figure out if I received an accurate reading. It is also a bit clunkier than the other models…so it is not ideal for me to carry in my purse. But overall…it is still a good value for the price…once you figure out how it works. I would suggest keeping this model at home and letting guests use it before they leave the house.
I compared this to the other, more expensive models (the Premium and Revo). I got different results that I suspect weren't as accurate. The device is slower than the others and the design is a bit clunkier. It's still a decent machine, but compared with the other devices offered by Alcomate, the Premium or Revo are a better bet.
This product is one that looks a little less attractive than what the other products are and I like this one for the functioning but it wasn't as fast as the other products. I would still recommend that to others but it would have had five stars if there were a smaller design and I could get the results faster than the 30 minutes required to stop drinking to get an accurate result. Still an invaluable product in this day and age and I would recommend to a variety of users, especially drivers.

During our lengthy discussion, (about 45 minutes) Daryl was able to help me with the problems I was having with my old CPAP machine. During this time, Daryl let me know that my current machine was nearing 8 years old, well past it's prime. So he suggested and described this machine and answered all my questions I had regarding it's usage and functions. So I decided to purchase this machine and extra filters since my current machine might give me unexpected problems in the future. The machine and filters came earlier then expected. Basic set up was easy. But I noticed that some things Daryl and I discussed and some things I saw in the CPAP.com video about this machine were not visible on the display screen. So a quick Saturday afternoon phone call to CPAP.com was all it took to rectify the problem. I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea 3 months ago. I went to my family physician for an annual checkup and he referred me to a neurologist. 1 month after the referral I finally had an appointment. 2 weeks after that, the Dr. had me return to his office. He then scheduled me for an overnight sleep study in a clinic. 1 Month after that, my insurance said NO, use an in home study. 3 weeks after that I got the test and completed it at home. 3 weeks later I returned to my neurologist to get my results. I had severe sleep apnea. Neurologist then said, I want a sleep study in clinic. 3 weeks after that, my insurance company said NO again that Dr had enough information already. This machine is a gamble. For $1,100 you would expect a product like this to deliver on its promise of helping you sleep and breathe better at night. Unfortunately for the first 9 days I had to take the device OFF in order to sleep. If you have any nasal congestion while wearing the device, you suffer from claustrophobia-induced panic as you feel like you're trying to breathe through a coffee straw. Two nights ago I was up at 4AM unable to breathe, but after I removed the device I could suddenly breathe again! This was made better by the fact that there is NO REFUND policy from Lofta. You're stuck with a $1,100 suffocation machine! The medical industry is the only industry where they offload all the risk and cost burden completely onto the customer. If they were selling these machines on Amazon they wouldn't be able to sell them for more than $600 and would have free returns. The machine is self-adjusting and came with the most generic settings, only to be further tuned by the patient. What exactly is the role of the physician here? Furthermore, there is no way for the patient, except to conduct another $200 sleep lab, to know whether the machine is working. Yes, the machine tells you that it's working. But can you trust it? It lacks any of the sensing the original sleep lab did, so how exactly are the data comparable? To be fair, when you are lucky enough to sleep through the night with the device, I do believe the quality of sleep to be superior. I've even lost weight since I started using it and feel I can sustain longer through the workday. So my insurance had rented me one from a company for 6 months and then that company was nickel and diming the insurance company so they stopped paying for it. The reason I'm telling you this is to show you how quickly "The CPAP shop" works. I had ten days until I had to return the unit OR pay 1,300.00 dollars for the now USED unit in my posession. I called and got a script from my Dr, then jumped online and ordered my unit from here. It was quick and easy and they shipped it the same day AND set it up with my levels beforehand. So, I've had the rental unit for a little over 6 months and now the same one which I own. It's quiet, small enough, and has changed my life! I haven't slept one night without it and that includes over a week on vacation. The bag it comes with is quality as well so no worries when transporting it. Setup is SUPER easy. Just watch some YouTube videos on how to put it into the correct mode to change pressures and a bunch of other things. I use the Bluetooth and the app to track my AHI and mine has NEVER been over 3, and is usually below 1. Anything over 5 is an issue. Anyway… IMO, this is a great device and while expensive, IMO it's worth it. Also, I've found to get more water in the holding tank, I prop the front of the unit up which allows me to add just a little more water in the tank which extends the run time. In the winter here in the midwest, I would have to fill it after about 4 hours when on level 4 or 5. If you're in a cold state, buy the heated tube. It's worth it! Enjoy, and happy sleeping!4gasem
Awesome machine! Great Customer Service. Found The CPAP Shop through needing a new CPAP. My previous one started acting up. I am very satisfied with this unit and the price. I found out the VA issues the very same units. Unfortunately The CPAP Shop is not in my insurance network. But the price of this unit was way too hard to pass up. Introduction… After hours of research, I purchased the Philips Respironics DreamStation Auto CPAP machine on Friday, June 15, 2018. This was a major upgrade for me since my old CPAP machine was a ResMed S8 AutoSet II system which was roughly 8 years old. Algorithm… I'm a computer programmer by profession so the most important thing to me was the algorithm used to automatically adjust the air pressure when a sleep apnea event was detected. I was not impressed with the ResMed algorithm for detecting sleep apnea events on my old S8 so I went with the DreamStation. My results… I've been using the device for three nights now. Let me start by saying that my energy has tripled and I'm not kidding. The first night I used the machine I only had one single apnea event. I woke up with so much energy I didn't know what to do with it! I have experienced this for three days in a row while using the DreamStation so this was why I had to post so quickly. I feel like myself again and it feels amazing! The algorithm used to stop apnea events is superb on this device! DreamMapper cell phone app… The iPhone app/Android app called DreamMapper is very helpful in reviewing your apnea events during the night. It pairs via bluetooth to your DreamStation device and allows you to download your data to your phone. Then you can review your sleep patterns and apnea events on the cell phone app. Based on the data you are reviewing on your phone, if you are having to many apnea events, you can adjust your auto pressure range from a min to a max value. If you google, you can find instructions on how to get into the provider settings to adjust them. Honestly there is no legal action anyone can take on you adjusting your own CPAP pressure. I strive for only 1 apnea event a night which gives me tons of physical and emotional energy. If I have more than 1 or 2 I am tired the next day. The device… The device is so easy to use my 8 year old child could operate it. As far as the device itself though it is a bit cheaply made. Very light weight plastic. However, I have no plans of throwing it against a wall or dropping it on the floor so that doesn't bother me much. I feel that it will be fine flying with it and bringing it on as a carry on so no worries of it breaking during my travels. I purchased the optional humidifier and I highly recommend it. The one reviewer said he only got 6 hours of humidification no matter what setting he had the humidifier on. That has not been my experience. On average I get 8 to 9 hours of humidification on one pan of water so I get a full night sleep with only 1 apnea event a night. My humidification setting is on a 4. I am sure where you live and your weather will impact this so your mileage may vary. Also I like that the water pan is very open and there is lots of room to add water and clean it. The heating tube is very nice and I highly recommend pitching in the extra cash and picking it up. I no longer have any water built up in my tube and that is quite nice. As many have stated in their reviews, it is a very quiet device so if you have a partner or are married they won't be bothered by it. If you have a dog that sleeps on your bed he or she won't mind it either. 🙂 Conclusion… I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this CPAP machine if you are looking to get a new one. I like that I no longer require sleep studies if I gain or lose weight and I can manage the device myself. That was a big selling point for me. Been using for about 3 weeks now. I like it. Took me several nights to get the humidity dialed in. The auto feature on the humidifier does not work for me, caused rain out. I’m fine now with it on #1. I sleep well with this device and do not get dry mouth from it. My biggest complaint is that it does not have a clock display that is readable. The iBreeze is a great machine. I have been on CPAC for many years and this is the best machine I have owned. After a short tutorial on the machine set-up, I was able to make a couple of minor changes to the factory settings and began having the best restful sleep that I have had in a long time. The machine itself seems to mostly work. The CPAP function is fine – it gets the job done – and the humidifier isn't great, but it's good enough for my purposes. The main reason for my negative review is that this thing is LOUD. The problem is that it's not even consistently loud – I could live with it if it was just a loud drone that never got louder/quieter. However, it's much louder and higher-pitched when I'm breathing in than when I'm breathing out, which keeps me and my wife awake. It's not even consistent every night, or for the whole night. I've fallen asleep with the machine operating relatively quietly, and then suddenly I'll wake up an hour later because the machine is twice as loud as it was earlier in the night. We both have to wear earplugs in order to sleep. The product arrived as advertised. My family had thought that I was not breathing, because I was so quiet. The people advising me from CPAP.com were kind, patient and informative. This APAP machine is a good machine. It performs like it should. The pressure into my Resmed F20 mask was very comfortable. However it is loud. Neither me or my wife could sleep because of the noise. I know with auto machines you have the rising and lowering of the hum noise but it was louder than it should be. So every time I inhaled it got louder. When we were trying to get to sleep, I was trying to breathe as little as I could to keep the noise down but it was just too loud and I finally took the mask off and gave up. This model of adaptive servo ventilation is truly the best machine I could find for mixed apnea with mainly central apnea. I tried CPAP which just felt like it was blowing air at me when I tried to exhale. I also did a second sleep clinic trial with BIPAP and was very discouraged. The third night trial they tried a Respironics adaptive which was almost tolerable. Then I decided to buy the best machine on the market, an AirCurve 10 ASV. I really love it. The first night I slept well. It is completely silent. I had been having 68 episodes of apnea per hour. Now two weeks in and I'm down to about 5 to 15 AHI's. This is truly an amazing servo which I can hardly feel at all. No nasty air going into my stomach and no feeling of having my lungs overinflated. I am a true fan.
Two weeks of using this machine and I wonder why I waited so long to get the sleep study. The machine has helped me sleep like a log for 8hrs a night for the first time in 10-years. My fatigue is gone and I have three times the energy that I have as far back as I can remember. Lofta made it really easy and I feel like I have a partner in my program. The philips respironic dreamstation APAP is a marvel of technology. I read some deeper info on how it works….The way it can tell how you are breathing or not, and then adjusts air flow is way above my understanding…but it works. The heated humidifier when full lasts 8-9 hours on auto setting, and i live in a dry climate. The heated tube on 2 setting keeps the "rain" out. Bluetoothing info to phone everyday is easy. It does have a gentle 'breathing" noise, which i dont hear when mu whitenoise is on.Mel
I was really excited about this cpap until i started using it. The nasal mask leaves too much outside air and feels ackward. The nasal pillows do not fit right and constantly come out while sleeping. The water reservoir for the humidifier doesn't have enough water to last through a night. I'd really love to get these shortcomings fixed as in it's current state, my lack of sleep is as if I didn't have a cpap. More about the humidifier, on 1 and 2 settings, it doesn't work. On 3, water doesn't last through the night, and I have not tried the 4 setting. It's a quiet machine and I truly love the hose being on top of my head rather than in my face, but if I can't get it to work correctly, i'll have to go back to my old cpap.
