T3 is a brand I love already. I’ve purchased three blow dryers over the years because I love them that much. I don’t straighten my hair that often for no particular reason but I decided to try the Lucea 1'' Professional Straightening Styling Flat Iron. To be honest, I didn’t like it at first only because I was trying to use it as a curling iron to create waves which was an epic fail. I’m not sure if it’s just above my pay grade or I don’t have the dexterity but it didn’t work nonetheless 😂. I even watched videos on YouTube and it looked so easy 😠. I do like it however as a flat iron. This really has no bells or whistles. It’s a simple, straightforward flat iron. It has nine heat settings and it comes with a chart so you know the perfect temperature for your particular hair type. My hair glides through effortlessly without any snagging or pulling and my hair comes out shiny, smooth but still has body. I don’t like when flat irons make the hair pin straight. It lacks body, depth and fullness and I don’t think it’s a flattering look. This one luckily doesn’t do that. It tames flyaways, frizz and makes the hair look healthier. This uses ceramic, rounded, even-heat plates so it’s less abrasive on the hair and actually promotes hair health. This has an automatic shut off after an hour too. I have a new original CHI analog flat iron, but kind of missed having the option of adjusting the heat level (I got the one that is set at 392) when styling my hair so decided to splurge on a T3 as a back up. I really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, but I am really glad I invested in this because it is probably one of the best flat irons I've used in years. It has its particular cons – I would like a lock on the plates to keep them closed when not in use, and I think it does slightly dry out the hair a wee bit more than others, but, it does style better, so! The way the plates are shaped, you can do perfect waves and red carpet curls without needing to manipulate your hair a lot. I was testing this the day I got it, and was able to get beautiful, shiny, bouncy curls by simply rolling the flat iron and twisting right after while the hair was still hot. Oh, and it gets HOT! Like, super HOT! I turned it down a little because even at level 4, I felt a good amount of heat coming off the plates. Surprisingly, you can hold the iron without gloves or a cloth and not burn yourself. It is slightly more drying than my CHI as I previously mentioned, but I think it's a lot more versatile and more adept at creating a wider range of styles, so that is a big plus for me. My is my absolute favorite straightener. And I have quite a few (don't judge me 😫 ) and 3 of them have been a chi. I actually got my first one when I was in hair school and it was a pretty basic iron (back then they didnt have the same technology as they have today) and from there I upgraded. They have lasted me FOREVER! This new one came with a warantee and everything which when something is guarenteed I appreciate that as a customer. I'm much more likely to spend a good amount of money if it's a product that the company is so confident in that they can back it up. Anyway it has all the features you would look for in a styling tool. Safety, temp control, shut off feature, you can put it on a stand so it's safe to set down, it came with a cute little case for either travel or as a dust protector. I'm not sure if they all did, but this one that I purchased off the website did. And there are different discounts for people in school or sale or coupons for new or returning customers. I have pretty thick, somewhat wavy hair. Even though my hair isn't very wavy it's very difficult to actually straighten. The most id ever spent on a straightener before this was $20, and you could tell. I'd go over and over my hair with my revlon trying to get it flat and not to mention the plastic catching on my hair and ripping it But this has changed my life in just the 24 hours I've had it!! I am totally impressed by this flat iron. I have always loved CHI straighteners but this is a whole new level of amazing. I have long thick wavy hair and I set the heat to 360 degrees since I read 400 or above can really damage your hair. It heated up to 360 in about 30 sec and was ready to use. The plates are smoother than my other CHI and just glide through my hair. I was done in about 2-3 minutes and my hair has never looked so shiny!! I've always used heat protection spray but the shine was all from this straightener. My hair feels so soft and healthy. I also love the auto shut off feature and it's the main reason I bought this one in the first place because I forget if I unplugged my straightener or not. Only downside to this is the plug doesn't have surge protection on it, so don't straighten your hair while barefoot on a wet floor or around water. Thankfully my husband installed outlets in our bathroom that have the surge protection buttons on them. Just something to be aware of. Otherwise, this hair tool is a no brainer. Not the greatest quality. I didn't expect a lot but Certainly was surprised with the quality of the product. I’ve been straightening my hair for over 10 years and have gone through a lot of flat irons. I would skip this one. I read the reviews for purchasing, and I should’ve listened. As a flat iron, it’s just okay. It does take multiple passes to straighten as others have stated. I have moderately wavy to curly hair, so nothing too crazy, and it does a mediocre job. This does pull at my hair, which results in fall out. The temp controls are the best I’ve ever across since it allows you to choose basically any heat setting, which is awesome. That isn’t enough to make this straightener worth the purchase though. Definitely skip this and look for a better reviewed flat iron. I will be returning this one.MM
I am really impressed with this Revlon Pro hair straightener! It did a fantastic job of straightening my hair, and it did it very quickly and efficiently. I have tried out a few hair straighteners lately, and one of the things that set this one apart was the temperature display as well as the ability to set the exact temperature that I wanted to straighten my hair. I also like how quickly this heated up! This one really was ready to go in about ten seconds, perfect for when you're short on time, which I'm guessing most of us are! I also like the locking feature. That's better for storing the straightener as well as travelling with it. When you're ready to lock the unit simply close it, then slide the lock button over to hold it in a closed position. I did find that this straightener is best for actually straightening hair rather than attempting to curl it. The plates have a rather squared off edge, so when I attempted to curl my hair using this it gave the curl a kinky edge. However, I was very impressed at how well this device straightened my hair, and how long my style held after I took the time to straighten it. I'm very pleased with this unit. I don't typically write reviews. The CHI G2 flat iron is an excellent professional results tool. The passes at the roots of my hair are not uncomfortable/hot on my scalp. The previous flat iron I owned for 10 years began to pull my hair. Passes at the roots of my hair were uncomfortably hot. I decided to purchase a professional quality tool this time around. The plates glide smoothly over my hair with no pulling/tugging. I don't feel heat on my scalp yet I can straighten the roots of my hair. The auto heat setting of 370 degrees is ideal for my hair type. Results look like the salon results I get at the salon. In my opinion, it is critical to use a good quality heat protectant. I purchased professional quality heat protectant and leave-in conditioner to use with the CHI G2. I believe the products helped with the results I got with the CHI G2.Loja
That extra quarter inch makes a difference for longer hair. The heat is consistent. Love the digital settings. I use medium prefixed setting and within a minute it is fully heated. You'll only need one pass through to get smooth results. There is no tugging or pulling the hair. You can get close to the roots easily. I run the iron all the way down except the last inch to protect my ends. Also, the plates are positioned just right so that you never burn your scalp. Just received my new Chi G2 straightener today. I LOVE IT! it works so good! My older original Chi still works but I noticed my hair just wasn’t getting as straight as it used to so I purchased this one and it works soooo good! My hair is fine, type 2b so straightening my hair was very fast. The first time I tried it I didn’t have that much time so I didn’t section off my hair and straighten a section at a time. My is my absolute favorite straightener. And I have quite a few (don't judge me 😫 ) and 3 of them have been a chi. I actually got my first one when I was in hair school and it was a pretty basic iron (back then they didnt have the same technology as they have today) and from there I upgraded. They have lasted me FOREVER! This new one came with a warantee and everything which when something is guarenteed I appreciate that as a customer. I'm much more likely to spend a good amount of money if it's a product that the company is so confident in that they can back it up. Anyway it has all the features you would look for in a styling tool. Safety, temp control, shut off feature, you can put it on a stand so it's safe to set down, it came with a cute little case for either travel or as a dust protector. I'm not sure if they all did, but this one that I purchased off the website did. And there are different discounts for people in school or sale or coupons for new or returning customers. I have pretty thick, somewhat wavy hair. Even though my hair isn't very wavy it's very difficult to actually straighten. The most id ever spent on a straightener before this was $20, and you could tell. I'd go over and over my hair with my revlon trying to get it flat and not to mention the plastic catching on my hair and ripping it But this has changed my life in just the 24 hours I've had it!! I am totally impressed by this flat iron. I have always loved CHI straighteners but this is a whole new level of amazing. I have long thick wavy hair and I set the heat to 360 degrees since I read 400 or above can really damage your hair. It heated up to 360 in about 30 sec and was ready to use. The plates are smoother than my other CHI and just glide through my hair. I was done in about 2-3 minutes and my hair has never looked so shiny!! I've always used heat protection spray but the shine was all from this straightener. My hair feels so soft and healthy. I also love the auto shut off feature and it's the main reason I bought this one in the first place because I forget if I unplugged my straightener or not. Only downside to this is the plug doesn't have surge protection on it, so don't straighten your hair while barefoot on a wet floor or around water. Thankfully my husband installed outlets in our bathroom that have the surge protection buttons on them. Just something to be aware of. Otherwise, this hair tool is a no brainer. I was so excited to try the L’Oreal Professional Streampod Flat Iron and Curling Iron and love the amazing my hair looks and feels after using it! It’s not a traditional straightener or curling iron so there are additional steps. First you need to fill in built in water tank with filtered water, once that has been done you turn it on and adjust the heat settings. When using this iron you need to follow the arrows on the iron in that given direction because there is a built in comb. You need to be sure to have brushed very well as the built in comb will not run through your hair properly and when I’ve had knots it’s actually pulled out my hair. When I use this as a straighter I section off small sections of hair because I’ve found it gives the best results and easier to do given the comb can get snagged and tear out hair. I pass the iron slowly down my hair and the comb goes through my hair brushing it through leaving it silky smooth and shiny and oh so straight! For curling my hair I start the same way but then place a small section into the iron in the middle of the plates and wrap my hair around the iron, rotate the iron and glide it down creating the perfect smooth, shiny waves in my hair. I like to wait a few minutes as it’s recommended to shake out my hair for beachy waves or more natural finish. Overall I love this iron and the steam feature that never actually gets your hair wet sure makes it worthwhile helping make your hair so smooth and shiny. It has three heat settings as well 350 degrees, 390 degrees and 410 degrees that really does a great job on the iron for maintaining the right temperature and for my fine hair I use the 350 degrees of ironing and sometimes the 350 degrees or 390 degrees for creating waves. So I am going to be bluntly honest about this straightener. It is quite heavy and almost 4 fingers wide. Steam (as most women of color know) curls hair and roots. It is near impossible to get close enough to the root with this straightener. I tried it with the comb attachment at first and it was ripping my hair out and I had just freshly brushed. Took the comb attachment off and that really made no difference because there are 3 sections of the straightener that literally grab hair and rip it. Hurt so bad. What usually takes me 30 minutes took almost 2 full hours which made no sense because this straightener is about 2x larger than my other straighteners! Passed over one piece 10 times and it would not go straight. It has a really sleek look but that's about it. One thing I can say about it that I love is that the on/off button is inside the straightener along with temperature gage! This feature is wonderful. I know a lot of women are receiving this product for free to test just like me but it is important to be honest always ladies! I am a woman of color with curly/wavy hair and I would never recommend this to other women of color. My hair smells burnt and I had to fill the water reservoir twice. I had this flat irons for 3 years now. I set it to 450. After clarifying my hair 3 times or 2 times I follow up with a moisturizing shampoo which I use only one time. Then the conditioner lastly the deep conditioner which I set under the dryer for about 20 minutes. I rinse my hair with lukewarm water then a quick 10 sec shot of ice cold water. I t shirt dry my hair let it set to absorb the water, put some leave in conditioner on my hair then some hair heat protector serum. I section my hair blow dry it on low heat. After I flat iron my hair on 450 using the chase method. It takes me 2 hours to flat iron my hair. My hair is 4c, naturally blonde (do not ask me my race or where I am from because I don't know.), my hair is so thick that sometimes I actually lost my comb in my hair plenty of times. And my hair is to my waist If it straighten. But If it is in an afroc state, it's 2 inches pass my shoulders. I will forever keep this flat iron.carolyn.r

I have always loved Chi products. My fav is the original Chi but when I saw this I wanted to try it. I have naturally wavy hair so the curl part didnt really work for me but I LOVED the curved edges for when you straighten. It gave my hair so much lift. I would buy it just for that haMommaT32

I’ve had this for probably 10 years and it just broke this week. Safe to say it lasts! I try not to use heat on my hair more than once a week but I love the CHI. I use it to curl and straighten and it works great. Love that I can set my heat to whatever I want. I do find it sometimes pulls my hair but I’m sure all products do to a degree. I have had my unit for three years. I have long coarse frizzy hair. This flat iron has reduced my straightening time to about 12 minutes. I use the second to lowest temp setting on small sections of dry hair. I get beautiful waves by twisting the flat iron and pulling down through the hair with an even amount of tension. Here in Miami the humidity is high but after I straighten my hair, it doesn't frizz. I don't use any straightening products before using the flat iron. Just clean, very dry hair and the second to lowest temperature setting (420 degrees F). The cord is long and swivels to prevent tangles. The flat iron plates are very smooth, shiny metal without any coating. My hair glides very easily through the iron. It is an excellent product.Rose
I really like this flat iron, but I should have gotten the one that's a little heavier. This one is quite lightweight, which you would think would be a good feature as it's easier to hold. BUT, because it's so lightweight, it doesn't squeeze your hair as much as necessary for my very thick hair. If your hair is thinner, this would really work well for you.Shar

I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. This is the first, and probably only, flat iron I would recommend to anyone asking for it.Katie
I used this flat iron about once a week and loved it. The temperature heats very quickly but the downside is that it shuts off after 30 minutes. I have really long thick hair and it takes me about one hour to straighten all of it. So it’s a bit of an inconvenience shutting off after 30 minutes. I was really disappointed that after having it for only a few months, it began malfunctioning, saying “error” on the display and turning off every 10 minutes.
I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.krystal .d

I'm one of those people who washes their hair once a week, maybe blow dries it, and generally does very little in the way of styling. I bought the Express Ion Style in a bundle with a mini flat iron to take the place of two inexpensive drugstore curling irons I'd had for more years. While I rarely curl my hair, I've always found that the flat iron method holds better in my fine, straight locks and so I thought that this could be a good compromise, able to smooth out the creases from my hair bands while also giving me the flexibility to throw in some curls. I've used the iron several times and have been very happy with my decision. It's sleek and easy to operate, heats up so quickly and performs well. I've actually found that the mini iron curls my hair a bit better (probably because it's so small), but I'm very pleased with having this tool in my bathroom and hope that it will encourage me to do more styling between washes. I bought a Pro Tools blow dryer in 2015 and have been immensely satisfied with it's performance so I'm assuming that I will continue to love the Express Ion Style as well.Dretta

I have curly 3A hair, and I recently cut my hair short. We all know that when you cut curly hair short, it curls up even more. Whenever I’d straighten my hair with my old flat iron, it wouldn’t stay straight all day. However, with this Ion flat iron, my hair stayed pin straight for 4 days! (until I washed it) I really believe that it has to do with the titanium plates. I’ve always used tourmaline/ceramic plates, so I wanted to see what the difference looked like. I live in California, so humidity isn’t an issue and I used it at 350 degrees. I love this tool! I would definitely recommend to purchase this!Sabrina
