I struggled with pretty bad acne the last few years and only recently figured out it was fungal. So I've simplified my routine and started avoiding a ton of ingredients, but finding a basic and gentle face wash was very hard. I've tried most face washes at the store and specialty medicated face wash, and even high end. Nothing was helping and it was very frustrating. This has AHAs in it and even though it's in the calming line, I personally found that it was a bit more than my face was prepared for. I do have sensitive and reactive skin, and other products in the calming line (the toner, serum, and cream for example) work just perfectly for me. This cleanser however was too drying and harsh for my skin in this particular moment. For normal skin it shouldn't be an issue at all. I generally use a balm, oil, or cream based cleanser, so I knew I was taking a risk with a foaming one – but I think the key is to remember that "calming" doesn't necessarily mean what you might expect in the case of this cleanser. I wouldn't personally re-buy it, but I can imagine it would be perfect for people who want a more calming version of a foaming cleanser when they're already using one.Michael O.
This face foam is the best! It is very gentle and non stripping but also cleanses very well. I use a small amount and it's immediately foamy no need to mix with water to foam it's already there! I have sensitive combination acne prone skin and this cleanser does not break me out. My face is glowing, soft and clean after using .

I'm in my mid-30s with oily, acne-prone skin, and I've been on the hunt for a light, anti-aging moisturizer. This. Is. It. It has a very light texture (a little goes a long way) that absorbs very quickly but still feels nourishing. As other have noted, it has a light floral, herbal scent. I tolerate but don't usually love fragrance in skincare, but I've come to love the smell of this (though people with sensitive skin may want to stay away). The cream itself is also light enough that I can use it both in the morning and the evening, even with my oily skin. I purchased the mini version first to test it out, and after a month of regular use (morning and evening), I shelled out for the full size. I've noticed that my tired, uneven, drab looking skin looks like I'm wearing makeup when I'm not. It's more even, resilient, bouncy, and radiant. My pores look smaller and when I do have hormonal breakouts, this does seem to calm the inflammation. If you're in your 20s with great skin, I don't think this product would do much for you, but for me it's worth the investment. Also btw, this product was recently reformulated and Sephora hasn't updated the ingredient deck. The new version has no retinol — the Sulwhasoo website has the correct ingredient list, which I matched up against the box I received. I apply this cream during the nighttime. I use it for my last step in my skincare routine. After washing my face, toning it, and adding serum. I apply this cream to my face and neck and sleep with it overnight. This method allows the cream to absorb into my skin adding moisture that my skin desperately needs! I have been waiting for a chance to try Sulwhasoo's renewing cream for a while now, so of course, when I got the opportunity to try it as a gift, I jumped on it! First off, a little goes A LONG way here. Which is almost required given the price tag associated with the cream. It's very lightweight and if you're prone to greasy or even sensitive skin, you're safe here. Since we're still in the Fall season, not sure how this will be added to my winter skin routine. It has a nice clean spa-like scent to it, but the fragrance doesn't irritate one's skin. I have sensitive skin, so this is something I pay close attention to. This serum is so fantastic for my combo, slightly oily, acne prone skin. While it does contain denatured alcohol, which is a problem for some individuals, keep in mind that the alcohol listed is the sake portion. I absolutely adore the smell of this entire line; it smells like a freshly cut peach. While the scent is strong when you first apply, it disappears within just a minute or two. This serum is a perfect step to use in any routine. I leaves a very soft, almost velvety or powder like finish that is great as a primer for sunscreen or makeup. It helps to minimize my pores and control my oil. It moisturizes just enough to leave your skin feeling fresh without leaving you oily. I've been wearing this product for 5 hours now and my forehead isn't even starting to show signs of oliness yet. Usually by about 4 hours into my day I am needing to blot my t-zone. I am actually reviewing all three of the skinfood peach sake products: toner, serum, and emulsion because I have been using all three together. I have had very large pores and extremely oily skin all my life and nothing I did would help relieve this and nothing would keep my makeup on longer than an hour. I have watched countless beauty gurus on youtube and have tried all the products and techniques they have suggested with no success. Nothing would keep my foundation on for no longer than 2 hours tops. By the end of the day I could scrape my foundation off with my finger like icing (I used to use Estee Lauder double wear and now I use Too Faced Born This Way) and my pores could be seen from space. Disgusting. I searched for skincare products that would help with oil and saw good reviews on the skinfood peach sake line. I have been using the serum (toner and emulsion) for nearly a week now but the results I have gotten in that small of a time was worth sharing. I now can go a full 8 hours WITHOUT having to blot, powder, or just redo my makeup! Its soooooo amazing. My foundation looks great when I come home when before I would be in horror at the sight I saw in the mirror. Now I only have a little bit of shine. The serum (and emulsion) are dry to the touch once applied with a slight powdery feel to it, but only slight. Once applied I notice that my pores are less noticeable. @cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence The Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 cream was my best skincare discovery in 2021. It was so good, I gave it its own daily step in my routine. Then I discovered this Essence!! I used up a mini in no time. Snail secretion filtrate is basically snail slime and this has a whopping 96% of it!! It pairs the mucin with sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid), and arginine (an amino acid), to not only hydrate the skin, but improve texture and tone, too. My dehydrated skin just loves to drink it up. Damaged your skin barrier? No problem – reach for the mucin! It's soothing, healing, it's hydrating. It helps calm inflammation whilst being kind and gentle and is also effective for the care of rossacea. Who still loves a physical exfoliation? Me too! It's tabboo I know because we hear about it causing micro tears in our skin… Bring in the mucin! Snails make this stuff to allow them to roam the land. Their little jelly-like bodies get scratched as they drag them around the rough ground, so they produce their secretions to allow their bodies to repair, thus enabling them to continue to roam – same principle! Take that micro tears, I'll repair you with my mucin!!!! I find it works incredibly well with retinol and definitely reduces irritation that can be caused. In fact snail mucin is such a gentle humenctant, that you can use it with ANY of your actives. It does go on with a slimy texture but it does absorb dry. I really wish I started using this earlier, it is that good. The formula is on the thinner side, and spreads very well though it takes a few minutes to fully absorb into the skin and stop being tacky. It's my final step in my fungal acne routine at the moment, following the pyunkang yul calming low PH foaming cleanser, and the cosrx full fit propolis synergy toner. This combo for me was such a game changer, and this product specifically really sped up the healing process. The morning after I apply this my face is smooth, plump, and so beautifully hydrated. It's great at calming redness and smoothing out texture, I can tell a difference when I use it regularly. When it gets colder I like to put a thin layer of the purito deep sea pure water cream over top to lock it all in. My one gripe is I wish it layered well for daily wear, but it just doesn't work well with my spf and pills with all my primers. Is Heimish a good brand? Heimish All Clean Balm is a must-try if you're looking to start with Heimish. I've read so many positive reviews on this balm to oil cleanser and it just melts almost everyone who have tried it. I've been wanting to try out Heimish's Clean Balm for ages but I stocked up cleansing balms a lot last time since it was on sale, so I couldn't get any new ones until I finished them up just recently. It took me 2 years to almost finish up 2 big bottles of cleansing balms. LOL… Anyhow, I've been super excited to try out this balm especially when I've been reading good reviews about it. Texture I still can't believe how the sherbet-like texture at first manages to melt so easily into oil just by rubbing it with the fingers. Even without water or damp skin, Hemish All Clean balm manages to melt into oil with ease. Even scooping out the product from the packaging seems oddly satisfying to do. LOL Experience I can't emphasize how amazed I am with this cleansing balm. It does its job perfectly by melting away make-up so easily. Especially those hard to come of ones like mascara and lipstick, this cleansing balm manages to rinse them all away in just one wash. My skin tends to get a bit oily when I wake up from sleep, so to start my day double-cleansing is a must. This all clean balm manages to rub away all that oil stuck on my face without even drying out my skin afterwards. I don't know how long does this Heimish All Clean Balm will last at this rate as I've used almost half of the tub. I tend to use quite a generous amount of it since I find pleasure scoping out the balm. LOL… But if you tend to use it just the right amount once a day, it could last 2-3 months since the tub is rather big as well. I have oily skin and have been using this balm as the second step in my nightly cleansing (makeup cloth; then oil/balm; then foam; etc.). I really love the herbal, slightly medicinal scent of this balm. And the packaging is just gorgeous, which I didn't expect. I feel like this does a slightly better job than the Banila Co sherbet cleanser, but honestly, that might be due to the scent and the packaging (I am susceptible to form over function). The ingredient lists do differ, though, so maybe I'm not imagining it. In general, I would prefer both balms over any other oil cleanser, since they travel a lot easier and are less messy to use. Note: like many other people, I got a "melted" balm. Several other retailers besides Amazon suffered from this batch as well. I removed all the product from the jar and microwaved it 2 or 3 times for 30 seconds at a time, until the balm was completely clear and liquid. I stirred it with a clean spoon and then placed it back into the jar and let it freeze overnight. The resulting balm was back to perfect condition and has not turned back to liquid (I even took the jar on vacation recently, and it is still solid after 2 days of traveling in an air conditioned car). Ok so I’m guna start off by saying.. WOW!! This balm is absolutely amazing… it melts into an oil as soon as you massage it onto the skin and breaks down ALL makeup including waterproof eye makeup in seconds… it has got a very nice citrusy scent to it but it’s not overpowering and smells very refreshing. I am amazed at the performance of this product I really am. I was using The Ordinary’s squalane cleanser but I wanted a change as it does take about 20 seconds to actually melt into an oil. In the time it took that cleanser to melt into an oil, the all clean balm had already melted and completely broken down all traces of makeup lol I always follow with a water based cleanser to get everything off completely but this all clean balm is definitely THE BEST first cleanse I have ever used!! Will 100% be my go to balm from now on. I got the 50ml to try in case I didn’t like it but I absolutely LOVE IT and will get the 120ml one next although it’s NEVER in stock… will it be in stock ever again?? For the first two weeks of using the Glass skin series, I had the most radiant skin of my life – my skin has been clear for years, thanks to Korean Skin care & a clean diet, but the Glass skin brought out a gorgeous otherworldliness. And then… the cystic acne. And cluster acne. Aiee…. I really want to love this stuff, and I've read that the acne can happen because of the greater cell turnover due to the hyaluronic acid, so I'm now experimenting with steaming my face nightly, and have also moved down from two pumps of the glass skin serum morning & night (to my face and neck) to just one pump at night, mixed with organic argan oil. Then I apply the Matcha cream. (And on top of that, if I think a little more moisture might help, I put on some Cerave, just because it's less speedy.) It's possible this might help… TBD! I bought this on a whim back in May because I was in the market for a serum, I love K-beauty, and had heard good things about this brand. I went all in on the regular sized bottle despite the price and I'm so glad I did. This stuff has transformed my skin so much. I'm extremely pale and prone to redness and uneven skin tone/texture but ever since I started using this regularly every night before bed, my skin has looked 100x more even, softer/smoother, and it just has this lovely glow that I never had before. I hardly feel the need to use much if any concealer/foundation anymore because my skin just looks that good. The texture of the product is smooth and feels really nice when applying. I just use a fingertip's worth on each section of my face; it doesn't take much so this bottle should last a while. I will say that I have found that my skin tends to get a little flaky the next morning if I don't follow this up with a moisturizer, so I would definitely recommend always moisturizing after or possibly staying away if you are prone to super dry skin. This review has been a long time coming. I have been using this product since November of 2021. I cringe at the reviews for not giving a product ample amount of time to work. It's not a few time use to get the results, it's not instant. A lot of people were mentioning they break out and that's fair. But you need to realize your skin is purging the prior toxins. Skin regenerates, like your lashes shed. You can basically describe me as a skin cake junkie. Its done wonders on my skin in the past 8 months. Nowadays, I barely put any powder. It's leaves my skin a perfect foundation for primers to put on make up. When you're using a product with hyaluronic acid you need to add it to moist skin. (I didn't know that at first-research before your dump it) If you don't, it will dry out your skin (hence the break outs). I use this serum with the glass skin veil mist. When you put the two products together it is prime! You'll need to dab the serum on your skin until you get a slightly tacky texture. When you reach that point, then add your moisturizer. The cleanser in this kit gives me a deep clean without stripping my skin and helps keep my face acne free. I typically use it in the morning and Kate Somerville at night. So I recently got onto a kick of trying K-skincare. Normally I look for clean products with healthy ingredients. For the most part I was doing good with a couple of viral brands but I didn't want to keep using retinol nightly for acne and piling on moisturizer to balance the skin. Did some research and found the Peach and Lily brand. Liked what I read, liked the price point of this product even more. For reference I'm 36, have good skin that's combination, but do have some melasma and pores which have gotten a little larger than in my 20s. I also have rosacea. Do I want glass skin? Absolutely. Has this given me glass skin? Sadly not yet, but I also haven't followed the 2x a day instructions. On average I do the entire routine at night. In the beginning I would skip the last moisturizing step as I was afraid it would cause acne. That was actually a major mistake. Once I added it back in, it made a world of difference. My skin is vibrant! It's healthy looking, the redness from the roseaca has calmed, I don't have zits and if any come up they're small and go away quickly. It even calmed my damaged skin from a recent eyebrow wax (overnight btw)! Even better, I swear it helped get rid of the small skin tags I was getting on my neck. Here's an honest review about each of the products. To start off, I have sensitive skin, I have to do patch tests when trying any new products and I have to give my skin time to adjust before introducing a new product. Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser – Absolutely loved this! When I first tried this, my skin felt clean and I mean clean! However, what really sold this to me was that it did not leave my skin feeling like it was stripped. My skin was actually softer than it has been in years. I will definitely be buying the full sized bottle on this one. Wild Dew Treatment Essence – A bit of background beforehand, I have not had luck with toners and essences; there is something about them that my skin does not like. So when I saw the reviews on this one I was hopeful, but sadly it was a no go. I applied this one after giving my skin a week to get used to the cleanser, but as soon as I applied it, I began to feel a burning sensation. I decided to not rinse it off right away because I wanted to see if the burning was going to subside. It did, but then I noticed that my skin began to become irritated with small red bumps. I have had the same reaction before to essences and toners before so I rinsed it off with a fragrance free cleanser for sensitive skin. Again, I don't think this product is bad, my skin just does not seem to like essences and toners. Glass Skin Refining Serum – As of now I am withholding my final judgements on. I did the patch test as usual, and started feeling that stinging sensation, (please see above section where I mention that my skin is sensitive) after noticing the red bumps I rinsed it off. After doing some research, I found that serums can sometimes cause something called "purging." I am not sure if this is what my skin was attempting to do, but since I have to go back to work soon I've decided to hold off until I have some more vacation time to really give this a try and see how it goes. Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream: This is such a lightweight cream that gives my skin some much needed rejuvenation. My skin has been looking its best, and I have gotten so many compliments on how my skin looks healthy, this is another product that I will be buying in full size and has been added to my daily routine.Illyana

I started using a retinoid this fall, and any moisturizer I used afterward irritated my skin, so I knew I needed to do something. I started using the balancing gel, and the irritation issues disappeared; it is exactly what my skin needed. I double cleanse, then I apply toner, essence, retinoid, moisturizer, balancing gel. I still use the balancing gel on nights when I don’t use the retinoid, and my skin just drinks it up. I've tried most of the PYK line and this is by far my favourite product. Don't rub this on, you really need to pat gently in into your skin as the very last skincare step and it seals in all the other products. I use this every night and on the days that I'm not wearing makeup or leaving the house (so not wearing SPF). It is insanely good. I have super sensitive skin, with rosacea flare ups, and it cools my skin down instantly. Super refreshing in the summer. Ever since I started using this my skin is brighter and more even-toned. I also purchased the Moisture Ampoule, and while I enjoyed that, the two products perform the same function, and I much prefer the Balancing Gel tube for ease of application vs the pipette dropper in the Ampoule. i bought this because i was having some problems with irritation from the cold and the mask, and this quite helped. it's not a moisturizer, tho, so the way i used this was after every other step i put on, just as a shield. sometimes i also used this after my cream but before sunscreen in the mornings, and it helped the sunscreen to be a little less oily/shiny-looking. the most curious thing about this was the texture. it's a bit reminiscent of that liquidy, transparent glue, and whn you apply it, it does feel tacky, but as it settles and dries down it loses that. doesn't smell like anything, and something i was a bit worried about was some other comment telling that it pilled really bad, but this is itself a quality of the gel if you rub it, so with a few pats the lumps go away. tl;dr, if you have sensitized skin and want something instantly soothing, i recommend this, but don't expect anything too amazing from this.Gabriela

Has simple list of ingredients that are excellent for all skin types, the mature dry and sensitive like mine, or and the young oily, skin that is acne prone. It absorbs really well, and I get the feeling of a plump fresh skin before applying my skincare. The Panthenol not only plumps but protects my skin barrier when is a bit compromised during the cold months and with use of retinol. This is definately a great, deep pore cleanser. I don't think my skin has ever, ever been so visibly clean after using one cleanser. It really is fantastic. Unfortunately it is more drying than I had hoped, not great for my already dry skin. Definately not a daily cleanser. If you also have dry skin,I would suggest only having it on your face for about 20 seconds before washing off, and I only use it two or three times a week, when I exfoliate. Etude House's Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream is hands down the best moisturizer I've tried! I have sensitive, breakout-prone skin and I'm very picky about my moisturizers. It's a comfortable weight; it's not too heavy or too light. It has no scent whatsoever. It's one of the few moisturizers (of the dozens I've tried) that hasn't caused me to breakout. It also gives my skin a beautiful, healthy glow! I use this moisturizer in the morning and at night. I used it during the summer and I'm still using it during the winter. My younger sister with drier skin also likes this. It's fairly versatile! And for those who are uncomfortable with dipping their fingers into jar packaging: it comes with a small spatula! i mostly liked this product! i was able to use the whole tube without any problems (breakouts, allergic reactions, etc.). i didn't notice any transforming difference in skin benefits though. i think the main strength of this product is how safe and friendly it is to use. also the texture/ spreadability was nice – but it laid somewhat thick/sticky on my skin after applying it (sensitive, combo skin). i think this product is better for people with dry/normal skin, but overall really safe/hypoallergenic and hydrating for everyone!Jillian
If you’ve used too many actives, got a sunburn, or just have sensitive skin, I highly recommend this cream. I’m on tretinoin and this has helped reduce the flaking and irritation. The cream itself has a rich texture without being overly sticky. No scent either. Take out all the menthol components and this could be a winner. All the good ingredients cosrx has put in this product has went down the drain because of too much menthyl lactate. This is supposed to be a light, watery, soothing moisturizer that keeps skin clear and at the same time reinforces skin barrier. Sure enough, the texture is light and watery upon application but it STINGS uncomfortably so folks building tolerance on acids or retinols or those with sensitive skin, take note! Unfortunately, this AC Collection Lightweight Soothing Moisturizer didn't work with my acne prone skin. I tried it for about three weeks and considered my skin was purging from the active ingredients in it. However, after three weeks my skin would get constant breakouts in the same place, so unfortunately my skin can't tolerate the ingredients. Also, worth noting is that the niacinamide in this moisturizer created a temporary redness on my skin. I did like the lightweight consistency of the lotion, but noticed it doesn't control oiliness like it says. In fact, it made my skin looked oily and shiny hours after using it.Anonymous

I was always looking for an eye cream that will do magic on my puffy and tired looking eyes and this really helped me a lot. I am using it night and day and I can see visible improvements on my under eye. Less dark circles and puffy under eyes and helped a little bit with my fine lines and wrinkles. This is not the best cream that I used, but this is my second choice. My previous eye cream is still the best and I can see results in few overnight applications. There is a light scent, it’s clean and fresh, but not noticeable after application. I have fairly sensitive eyes, but have had no issues with this. I have very creasy under eyes, but from day 1 I’ve noticed an improvement, and it’s only getting better. My makeup application looks much nicer.
