I'm always on the lookout for a good face cream. I love to explore the world of skincare and experiment with all kinds of different creams and lotions. With my latest Sephora purchase, one of their "Favorites Collections", included was a jar of Kiehl's Since 1851 Ultra Facial Cream. True to their brand, the cream came in a small all white jar with black lettering and a red stripe. The cream itself is lightweight, white, and fragrance-free. I applied a small amount to my face and it hydrated my skin beautifully without making my skin look or feel greasy. It absorbed quickly and evenly into my skin, and didn't leave it feeling sticky or tacky afterwards. My skin felt SO much softer after I used this cream, it was amazing. My skin looked and felt beautiful after applying it. You can see up to 132% increase in skin hydration with the use of this cream. 96% of participants in consumer trials showed immediate improvement in skin dryness. 98% felt softer skin, and 96% showed a stronger skin barrier. I have never used any product from this brand and this one sadly is a NO for me. PROS: – It doesnât leave a white cast. – Hydrating cream, with a nice texture (not too thin, not too thick) – It has glycerin,squalane and hyaluronic acid which are great hydrators. – It smells very good. I like scented formulas although it is not necessary. – Clean at Sephora CONS: – This cream doesnât work with my skincare. It peels. This is a problem for me because I am not going to stop using my skincare, focused on anti-aging, to use this sunscreen. I would use another one on my face and leave this one for my arms. – It is a chemical sunscreen. I donât have sensitive skin so I can use it but I canât apply it around my eyes because it makes me tear up and I want sunscreen on that area because it is the most delicate. – If you apply the recommended amount for any sunscreen to be effective at the advertised SPF (1 teaspoon for the face), your will end up with a greasy looking face. It may have been part of the reason for the sunscreen to peel on me. – It has a lot of silicons, which I suspect are another reason for this cream not to work with my skincare. – It has a couple of essential oils. They give the cream a nice minty citrusy smell that I love but it is not necessary. They may be irritating for some so they should just not add them as they donât provide any sun protection benefits. – I find it a little pricey. Iâm sorry that this is a little long but I want to do this product justice because itâs worth it (and Iâm a babbler). I have been struggling with dry, sensitive skin for many years now. My skin is dry year round because I just do not produce very much oil. I have spent so much money on expensive skincare trying to find a moisturizer that will work with no luck. I canât even use Cerave on my face because something in it irritates me. I had recently purchased one of those Sephora $10 deluxe sample bags and realized this was one of the products included in it so I decided to browse the reviews here and they convinced me to try it. No joke, the very first time I put this on my face the heavens opened up and angels started singing! Well, ok that didnât happen but you get the picture! Immediately my face felt more hydrated than it has for a good 20 years now. I immediately ordered a bigger jar. Not once has this made my sensitive skin sting, even when applying it after I dermaplane with a surgical 10 blade. The instant and long term effects have been nothing short of amazing. I have not had dry patches on my face at all. That in itself is crazy. It plays well with my tretinoin when others make it pill, It absorbs fast enough to be used morning and night, it works wonders with my moringa oil and I have recently added polyglutamic acid with no problems as well. It could be the squalene in it that my skin has needed all these years, not sure, but I cannot believe I waited this long to try this miracle moisturizer. If you have also struggled with dry skin for a long time, I highly recommend giving this moisturizer a try. I really wanted to like this moisturizer, especially given the price point, but was disappointed. I am swapping all beauty and wellness products to cruelty free alternatives and have been looking for a good substitute for my Cera Ve moisturizer, which is excellent for year-round use. I am in my 30s so I am focused on anti-aging and repair and am seeking a cost-effective cruelty free moisturizer than sinks in well, maintains moisture for long periods of time, and doesnât cause breakouts. I LOVED the glowy finish on this moisturizer but noticed after a couple of days that my skin was getting really dry while using this product. I tried coupling this moisturizer with a heavier serum/face oil, but no luck. After a week of use, I had a couple of flaky, dry spots on my face and had to relinquish this to neck and hand moisturizer. If you have less dry skin, I could see this as being a great option. I was surprised that this didn't get a universal 5 stars in the ratings because this is hands down my favorite moisturizer. But when I looked into it, the complaints were from women who had acne issues. This is NOT a good moisturizer for acne prone skin. However, it is AMAZING FOR DRY SKIN. I have always been complimented for my beautiful skin, but that's because I have always taken care of it. For years I used Chanel and LaMer products. At about age 45, I started using Clarins Double Serum (which I *still* swear by). After trying a sample of Tatcha's The Dewy Skin Cream, I realized that it worked just as well, but cost a fraction of what Chanel's Le Lift or La Mer's Creme de la Mer. I switched and haven't looked back. I'm nearly 60 and I still have people compliment me on my beautiful skin and who are shocked when they hear my age. I have a simple routine: removing my eye makeup with Lancome's Bi-facil, rinsing my face with water and a washcloth (and occasionally using micellar water), drying it and adding a small dollop of Clarin's Double Serum, and in winter, following with this Tatcha moisturizer. I was recommended to get the Tacha Dewy Moisturizer and Rice Wash Cleanser by a Sephora employee for my skin type (combo-oily, super oily t-zone, dry patches on my cheeks and outer corners of my eyes). I first got the $25 travel set as a trial pack, and WOW did it have more product in it than I thought it would. The two tiny containers lasted me 3 weeks. More than enough time to see how my skin would handle the new skincare routine. I wash and moisturize my face twice a day and Iâve seen a tremendous improvement to my skin. I was the lucky recipient of a complimentary sample of this product via Influenster. I have very dry skin and had hoped this product would work miracles for my skin. Although it didnât quite hydrate my skin the way I had hoped itâs still a really nice moisturizer and I think it would be perfect for those of you that donât have very dry skin. I should also note that the sample I received only lasted me 5 days and that was with me using it once in the morning and once before bed so twice daily. Perhaps had I continued using it I might have seen more of a difference in my skin. The moisturizer feels like a creamy gel, it covered my skin nicely and didnât leave any residue, it made my skin feel soft. A little goes a long way for example my tiny sample lasted me 5 days and I was using it on my face and the backs of my hands. It went on very smoothly and didnât feel wet for very long after application. This meant it was great to apply before doing my makeup. I did notice it helped with the dry skin I get on my nose and felt very light. There was no strong fragrance to this product which is another great bonus. I canât stand creams that have such a strong fragrance that you can smell it for hours afterwards. All that being said, itâs not a product I would purchase myself in the future. I have been using Clinique skincare and makeup since I was a teenager. In the past 15 years they have never let me down! I have oily/combination/occasionally sensitive skin so I am super picky about my skincare products. I have been using their Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for about 15 years so when the opportunity to try this came up, I couldn't have been more excited to try it! This did not disappoint either! I start off my nighttime skincare routine with Clinique liquid facial soap then I use their toner and wait for my face to completely dry. When I first applied this I was so surprised at how little you need! A tiny bead was all I needed for my whole face! Almost immediately my skin felt plump and hydrated without that super wet sticky feel that some lotions cause. It is emollient without being greasy or heavy. It is suitable for all skin types but is designed to hydrate dry parched skin and is safe for sensitive skin. The tub says to apply from head to toe once or twice daily. I found that this was perfect for moisturising my body as it didn't leave my body feeling sticky like some creams do. It took some rubbing in to get rid of the white cast, but once it's worked into the skin it absorbs quickly. I did feel a bit of tingling on my skin, which I assume is from the eucalyptus oil and I can smell a slight hint of it in the cream. I was surprised to find that it also worked well for my face. Even with the most simple routines, no actives and just a serum or an oil it pills. A lot. Creates this gunk on your cheeks and jawline mixing with other ingredients in your routine. I keep it pretty âcleanâ when it comes to my products and nothing else I use makes my face sticky, pill or any of that annoying stuff. This product though? I rarely experience it not pilling or, worse, turning into sludge just after using a couple of my pricey products that I feel are almost wasted when I use this over them. Especially when youâre paying a dollar or more per ml, would rather go a superior brand with cleaner ingredients. I just bought kiehls ultra because Iâve enjoyed that in the past. I bought this because I have dry, sensitive skin. I need lots of moisture. I am acne-prone with a dry, damaged skin barrier. My skin is extremely sensitive and will not tolerate hyaluronic acid. I often get patches so dry around my mouth and chin that they flake off, even in summer. Iâm sure yâall know how annoying that is, especially with makeup on. PROS : this moisturizer did not irritate my skin one bit – and i think they have a fragrance free version thatâs even better for sensitive skin. Itâs a fabulous mix-in with my foundation, really helps it look more skin-like. When I touch up my makeup I can usually just DAB (not rub) some of this on the flakes and they magically disappear, although you can use this as a makeup remover if you use a lot and rub it all off. Iâve used this moisture before and I continue to come back to it every now and then because itâs always reliable to me. I have pretty dry and sensitive skin, although my skin is too dry to use this on itâs in own in the winter. I find it works best for me during in between seasons, summer and layering it with other moisturisers. I always come back to this because it never irritates my skin. I love the scent, it reminds me of the french pharmacy in parisâŚthe quality and texture is amazing as well. I have recently discovered the hype about this wonderful product, I have seen so many good reviews on Youtube and it is apparently a favourite of celebrities! Full disclosure I was entirely prepared to hate this and give it a bad review as it wouldnât work for me like most others didnât but Iâm so glad I was proved wrong. Iâm someone who is sooo picky when it comes to moisturizers because I always hated how thick and oily they felt on my skin. While I do have combination leaning oily skin I was a bit apprehensive on its claims but I truly 100% am loving this. It is super lightweight which is something I always try to find in any moisturizer because I need for it to be lifht right AND effective. It sinks into your skin fairly quickly and doesnât leave the skin feeling wet at all. Makes true on its fragrance free promise bc i canât smell a thing and my skins gotten a bit more sensitive as I got older so thatâs great! Iâve been wearing it as my moisturizer under my makeup and I really like how it feels. First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, thereâs a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent). I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor). I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (itâs cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred. I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasnât sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasnât greasy and didnât leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didnât have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply. When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. I'm not particularly wowed by this product, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I do think this moisturizer lives up to its claims – matte finish, good for oily/combo skin types. My skin used to run on the oily side until I really got into skincare. Now my skin is more normal, though still acne prone.I've been using this moisturizer daily, AM PM. it does the job, but I don't mind a more hydrated look, hell, even feeling more hydrated would be nice too – something I'm not really getting with this moisturizer. If you like a more matte moisturizer, then this one is for you. Texture reminds me of a gel-cream, so not the sticky jelly texture like some gel moisturizers.The design of the cap also isnt the best. one of the two attachments broke after only 2 uses. they're too wide set apart from each other compared to other squeeze tubes that I use. It works. I wish it didn't, because now it has to go in the annual budget along with the mortgage and tax, but for someone who has had problem skin all their life, this is just too good not to splurge on. After about six months of use, my skin is firmer, glowy, less red, breaks out less (and my inevitable hormonal break outs are shorter), has tighter pores, and while I don't have a lot of aging signs to speak of, I do think it's lessening the appearance of fine lines about my eyes. Most amazingly for me, it's shrunk a small keloid scar, and quite rapidly too. I didn't change anything else in my skincare or life during that time, so I'm certain it's the cream. Other acne scars and even a chickenpox scar have all faded too, and I tried a The Rich Cream sample on some stretch marks, which also got better. People regularly compliment me on my skin and I rarely wear foundation anymore. Unlike some other reviews, I find the texture pleasant; it's not a thick cream, so spreads well. The bottle lasts reasonably well, which lessens the ouch of the cost. I reckon I'll be able to get away with buying maybe 2 or 3 full-size bottles a year. Make sure to pull the pump out; the product is in a bag you can cut open to get every last drop out. However, I have knocked one star off because The Cream is not as moisturising as I would like, especially now it's colder. I have tried The Rich Cream, but this made me break out in oily areas. The Cream doesn't do this, but for my combination skin it just isn't quite enough in drier areas. I therefore have to double moisturise at night now winter is here. It's a bit annoying having to buy a second product given the price point, though I can get away with a cheap night cream with HA to boost hydration as the second moisturiser, so that's something. If you're skin leans more oily or dry, or you don't use a lot of harsh actives, you'll probably be fine with The Cream/Rich Cream alone. I was super excited to receive The Light Cream from Augustinus Bader in exchange for my honest review. I've heard such great things about the brand that I couldn't wait to see if it lived up to the hype. I'm happy to report that for me, this product absolutely did! The first thing I noticed was the beautiful blue and bronze aluminum packaging. It's stunning, and feels significant (not cheap or flimsy) in your hand. It definitely has a very luxe feel and appearance. The cream itself has a lightweight consistency, more like a creamy serum than an actual cream. It has no noticeable scent. It applies like a dream and absorbs quickly, leaving a natural finish. My dry skin feels moisturized and even at the end of a hot, humid Florida summer day, not the least bit greasy. It wears well under sunscreen and makeup, but can get a little pilly if I apply too much. Since this is so lightweight, it may not be enough moisture for winter, but during the summer it's been my holy grail daytime moisturizer. It's spendy, but if the budget allows, I will definitely be repurchasing. My only complaint (aside from price) is that the packaging is rounded on the bottom so it doesn't stand up. Not sure what the purpose of that is, however, it's certainly not a deal breaker for me. I was familiar with the brand but had never purchased or used any of their products. Spoiler alert – I AM LOVING IT. As a late 30âs mom with oily, acne-prone skin, there are a few things I know I need from a daily moisturizer. It cannot make me break out, or cause additional oil production. It needs to contain ingredients that are proven to be effective, in a large enough amount to actually produce results. I need a light (but not weak) moisturizer that wonât be harsh on my sensitive skin, but will still leave it hydrated and help combat some of these knocking-on-40âs-door fine lines and wrinkles Iâve got going on. Iâve been using this for a few days – it is a heavy, rich cream moisturiser – much thicker than a standard face moisturiser. I use Tret and having just increased my %, my skin drank this up – it absorbed so fast and didnât leave any greasy residue. I put another layer on my nose afterwards and that just absorbed too, and left my skin feeling a little more hydrated straight away, Iâm interested to see what a few weeks will do. My skin isnât usually dry, but is right now due to my increase in retinol strength and I like the effect this cream is having on my skin. Iâve just mixed this with two drops of DE Marula oil and it has spread nicely and feels like it has boosted the hydration further and left my skin with a soft, hydrated glow – I like it! Think I prefer it mixed with an oil now I have tried it. Speeds up the skincare routine process too. Overall Iâm pleased with this. I love how it swirls out of the top too.S
I've been using this cream on and off for years, although it's not my favourite, it's certainly in the top 3! It's rich, but as it's whipped has a light texture, so it doesn't feel heavy or oily on the face. Saying that, I wouldn't use it in the morning, as I have mostly normal skin with just a touch of oily skin around my nose occasionally, for me it's better as an overnight cream as I do better with a lighter one in the morning. If I'm feeling indulgent, and particularly if I've used a mask or acid which has made my skin feel tight, I'll add a couple of drops of a facial oil – this cream is one which mixes well with oils, not all do! Along those lines, I've never had a problem with this cream 'pilling', it seems to absorb very well, despite the numerous products I layer in the evening! Like most of the Drunk Elephant range, I love the packaging, it is brilliantly designed to keep the product fresh, and is easily dispensed with one touch. I have almost zero nerve function in my hands, so for me it's a huge plus point not having to unscrew then re-tighten a jar, especially if my hands are still covered in cream! The scent of this is also particularly lovely, it's probably the nicest smelling moisturiser I've tried! I received this product free from Influenster and Drunk Elephant in exchange for my honest review. First of all I do have to say IââŹâ˘m a bit disappointed with the ml/oz of the trial/sample size of the moisturizer cream, but in all fairness I guess that would make this $6, having taken into consideration that a 50 ml container prices out at $60. Now with that out of the way, this whipped cream moisturizer is very smooth and rich helping your skin feel softer and more rejuvenated. This is the most overrated overpriced lotion I have ever used. I suffer from dry skin already and my hands are worse than the rest because I'm always doing something with them that involves getting dirty and needing to be washed. After reading so many reviews on different kinds of lotions and everyone insisting this was the best I decided to try it. I noticed it wasn't working great first day but I decided maybe its one of those you have to keep doing. But now I've had this for awhile, used it daily and am am almost out and it absolutely has made no difference in my skin. It almost seems like it's made it worse because I find myself having to reapply this throughout the day. I was using Jergens before this and it worked much better than this. I also have used the super cheap suave lotion in the past and even with it leaving you greasy I would 100% use that again over this. Amazing cream! I use this in place of a night cream or on days that my skin feels dry and needs an extra boost. It's highly moisturising and non irritating, which is perfect for sensitive skin. Love that there is no unnecessary added fragrance either. Can be used on both your body and face. It's one of those products that actually does what it says and works so much better than high end products. If you follow Dr Dray on Youtube then you will already know that she also recommends this cream a lot as well, especially for people using retinoids. I've been applying it alongside my Differin gel to combact dryness from it's use. After washing my face, I rub in a thin layer of this cream onto my damp skin (to lock in moisture) and follow with Differin after it's dry. Using it in this way as suggested by Dr Dray reduces the risk of irritation, but still allows the retinoid to be effective. Even if you are using it on it's own, the Cerave Cream will work brilliantly to soothe and soften your dry skin. It has great ingredients including ceramides which improve skin hydration. I have dehydrated combination skin and this has helped so much to repair my skin barrier along with following a good skincare routine. You really have to try it to believe it!ani.z

I've been using the Water Cream for years. I loved the lightweight formula. I applied it twice daily after washing my face. It easily glided onto my skin when I applied it and absorbed into my quickly making it a mess free application. My face felt hydrated and smooth afterwards without feeling weighed down with product. However, when I most recently re-purchased the Water Cream I immediately noticed that the consistently was different. The cream was no longer lightweight. It felt heavier and almost had a whipped texture to it. I really had to rub the product to work it into my skin, but eventually it felt like the smooth product so was used to so I chalked it up to me overthinking it. However, within a few hours my face felt itchy and when I was able to look in a mirror I saw tiny bumps all over my face. I immediately washed my face off and used a different moisturizer to try to soothe my face. I'm aware that people's skin changes over time and need to adjust their skincare regimen over time. But because the cream felt so drastically different I looked into it and Tatcha has confirmed that they "had some very minor ingredient changes to the ingredient list to make it comply with international regulations." I am so disappointed that they changed the formula without putting anything in their product description or on their packaging in a way that i found noticeable. To start it off, I don't have a terrible acne problem, but I have a terrible problem with picking at my face and making it worse. I found out about tatcha through an ipsy bag but somehow forgot about it after. I've been using PanOxyl for my acne recently and it's been working, but I started to think about my skin and the nourishment it needs. I know aging is normal but I'm about to be 27 and time feels like it's going by way to fast. I still feel young and I want to try to still look young to be honest. So I recently saw an ad on Instagram for Tatcha. I decided to buy the limited addition water cream and the mini rice polish for oily skin. Although pricy, when I received the packaging and letters, I was in awe with how Tatcha is supporting the futures of young girls/women with purchases. For someone who thinks about the world and the impact of everything, who can't complain about that? So I know you can't make pores disappear, I will say that using these products for a minute now made my pores appear a lot smaller and unclogged?. I'm amazed. Literally. After this I'm sure to use Tatcha in my longterm skin routine. THE ONLY THING I AM UPSET ABOUT — Is that I didn't take before and after pictures to show how serious I am about it. I've been trying out random skin products for the longest but I think tatcha is here to stay in my permanent routine. Ps to the wonderful Tatcha team, I know yall are trying to promote recycling with the prodcuts and I appreciate that… but for people who bought full size products for awhile and don't have much recycling options in the area, could we request future product in a biodegradable/small bag to just put back into our full size product containers? okay so starting off my skin isnt the best; it used to be worse than it is now but still not amazing. ive had issues with impetigo, eczema, bad acne in the past and overall very sensitive skin. i have to use specific products so i don't have irritation or triggers to these issues. its been around 2 years since they have started to slow down + washing my face twice every day helped quite a bit. i ran into this product and thought it would be good for my hygiene and possibly moisturizing my face,, so i bought it. for the first couple days i used it lightly on my face n it seemed to work okay yet i didn't see much of a difference. honestly, i forgot about it for a couple days therefore i came back to it after a bit. i decided to put a little more on than usual and it BURNED. i wasn't totally sure if it was supposed to do that so i just let myself suffer for a little while(stupidly) and came back to my face red, like almost tomato red. around the middle of my face. its been 2 weeks since this incident and its still red, yet not as severe. do not purchase if you have had past skin issues or current !!! it will do worse for yourself and leave you with redness on your face for a long while.eng
I dug up this picture from 2019 and found several more that I had taken during that time because I recommended this moisturizer to my friends so much. From 2017 to 2019 I only ever used this moisturizer in my skincare routine, and I never regretted it. It was cooling, soothing, absorbed fabulously, and never felt heavy on my skin, which was congested and dehydrated at the time. Since then my skinâs needs have changed and this gel doesnât aid me in the way it did. My preferred delivery method for hyaluronic acid is now The Ordinaryâs Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%. However, I still confidently recommend this gel to friends and family who could benefit from it, and most whoâve tried it have loved it so much that it is now part of their regular routine. One extremely important thing to note is that any product with hyaluronic acid like this one needs to be applied while the skin is still wet, because the function of hyaluronic acid is to bind to existing water molecules and act as a humectant. In general itâs better not to dry your skin before using any moisturizer in order to allow it to seal in the moisture. Those who dry their skin before moisturizing also tend to use a washcloth or towel to do so, and unless you literally deep clean these cloths right before each use, they will quickly and easily become breeding grounds for bacteria, and also collect dust and other particles that could irritate your skin or clog your pores.raiba.s
This was working decently for me but it is a placebo type of moisturizer. I was also simultaneously using an actual hyaluronic acid serum. All my positive effects were due to the serum. Also I had near constant breakouts when using this. Using the elimination method I removed this and sure enough I have no breakouts now. The product contains dye and fragrance so that is definitely the cause. The cream version doesnât contain fragrance. Also, I had one very unusual and terrible experience. One time after washing my face after the gym I put this on my face after I had cooled down and this product gave me a chemical burn that took 3-4 days to recover from. Iâm sure it was from this product as it was the only thing on my face when the burn occurred. That happened only one time however. I had used this product for months without any burns but still. The fact that this burned my face even once is too much for me. I am now only using hyaluronic serum and mixing it with differin moisturizer and no longer see the purpose of this product in my routine so I will no longer purchase it. I have super oily skin on my face, it always bothered me but i never did anything about it, I kept using the same old face cream since high school. I turned 30 recently and the photos of my birthday showed me how oily my skin looked even with make up on, so i decided to look for other options. As I've gotten older I have realized how difficult it is to find facial products for oily, aging skin. I have struggled with large pores and oily skin since I was 11 years old, and my skin grabs and holds onto everything that touches it. Most moisturizers and sunscreens with result in major breakouts of painful cystic acne spots all over my face. If I use any products that contain any type of oil or other potentially comedogenic (pore clogging) ingredient, my skin suck it up into my pores and refuses to let go for a LONG time. Being an aesthetician, I am fully aware that even oily skin (especially oily skin, actually) needs to be moisturized. I love Estee Lauder! The Advanced Day and Night Creams and the advanced night repair serum. Of all the skin care I have tried these are perfect for my skin. My favroute of all. I am 32 and have been using this range for 3 years. When I recently ran out of the advanced night cream and serum. I couldn't find my particular night cream so along with the advanced night repair serum to purchase so I tred this Estee Lauder Nutrious Cream instead. This does not go on my skin well at all. This is my new favorite nighttime/ winter time moisturizer. I have dry to normal skin and the winter is brutal for me. My face gets so dry and tight. This stuff is amazing. You get a solid 12 hours of silky hydration. It does leave you feeling "greasy" for a bit after you put it on but it's got multiple oils in it so I expect that and don't mind it. If you have oily skin this may not be for you but my dry skin baddies will love this. Only caveat — doesn't work well under makeup, it causes liquid eyeliner to separate and crease but that is not a deal breaker for me. Great product, love this so much. I was so excited to try this because of the wonderful ingredients, great reviews, and needed something a little thicker for these brutal MW winters and my parched skin. The texture is just okay; almost kinda waxy in the jar, but it did absorb nicely and I had high hopes. I just couldn't get past the scent. Dreamy Youth Super Peptide Cream takes night cream to a whole new level for me. I have used some good products, but this is top shelf. It feels and smells amazing. Wow, buying a case of this stuff! Better than retinol and WAY less harsh. I layer this at night with the Pacifica Collagen Serum and the results are amazing. After about a week of doing this, I woke up in the middle of the night to find that almost all my fine lines around my 43 year old mouth and eyes GONE! I was shocked at the soft plumpness and dewiness of my skin. This cream will also make you glow and calms your skin. Iâm not sure if this effect is temporary while wearing the product after only a few hours, but earlier in the week, I did notice my lines seemed faded and softer, my skin is softer and more radiant. I had been using a low âbeginnerâ level retinol for a few months now and never saw results like this. The scent is powerful as others have mentioned, but dissipates quickly. One other drawback might be the heavy weight and greasiness of the product – it doesnât quite absorb into the skin right away and takes a few hours to really soak in and do itâs magic. I could see how this might not be the best âmoisturizerâ if you struggle with dry and sensitive winter skin. As a person with occasional eczema and flakiness when I donât take care of my face, I have to be careful with scented products that âsitâ on the skin, but this does not irritate at all and feels quite luxurious after a few hours and definitely in the mornings. I have fair skin that other gradual tanners I've tried turned orange. I've used this sparingly- not daily- and it's worked wonderfully for me. Just subtle color to my pasty legs. It smells great at first but gets smelly as the dht gets working. There's not a tanner that works that doesn't have this smell so if you can't stand that smell, you probably shouldn't use self tanner at all. Try out a body makeup instead if that's you. I'm not saying I like the smell but I get around it by applying at night before bed. Let the lotion dry a minute before putting on loose pajamas- the more skin covered the better for not making your sheets smell. In the morning, wash your body to remove any remaining product so you don't have to go out in public smelling like dht… also, I don't care how gradual this is, treat it like it's a regular self tanner and you'll be much happier. To summarize, if you're on the pale side with cool undertones and hate the J version that gets so much hype, try this instead. I was not impressed with this tanner and quite frankly, I'm so disappointed. I am an experienced self tanner and love trying new products. I have been a die hard Jergens user for years and wanted to switch over to a new gradual tanner lotion. I used this religiously for over 2 weeks and was not happy with the results. The scent is phenomenal, that I will admit. However, the end results is nothing great. It gives you a shimmery glow, which would be ideal for fair skinned. I have a medium olive skin tone and it did nothing for me. The 2 days I did not wear it, I started seeing splotchy patches where my arms fold in and where my bras rub in the front of my chest. I absolutely love this moisturizer! This water cream has hyaluronic acid and pineapple extract, and kept my skin hydrated all day(or all night) depending on when I used it. It is very long-lasting and has a very light natural citrus scent that smells amazing. My favorite part about this water cream is the texture! It starts off with this really thick texture, but as soon as you start to massage it in, it simply MELTS into the skin. It absorbs super quickly, yet your face still feels velvety soft afterwards! I have been using this for 11 days now along with my (newly stated) retinol at night and it has been really helped me to avoid any dryness or other issues that retinol can sometimes cause. I am currently battling hormonal acne and this did not cause me to break out at all, if anything, I have noticed lightening of post-acne marks and an overall more dewy-looking complexion! I have mainly dry skin and being that it is currently winter, I need even more hydration. I adore Hyaluronic acid so I was excited that to get this Philosophy Hope in a Jar water cream – hyaluronic glow moisturizer. The cream itself is gorgeous with a blue shade and pleasant (but not overwhelming scent). It really is reminiscent of a glacier water, as this cream contains. In addition to this Norwegian glacial water, this additionally contains pineapple extract which I think it a fun addition. My personal preference is to have skincare without added fragrance/dyes so I deduct a star for that. The cream was still gentle on my skin, and the texture was one of the most interesting I have used in awhile. It had almost a slushy appearance and when applied it feels like it becomes more liquid as it absorbs into skin. It feels lightweight, but provides hydration and smoothness for skin. I wanted to make sure I tried this water cream for some time before writing a review, so here are my thoughts after a few weeks. I'm loving this product! It's so light and airy, but it hydrates so well. It's $39, but a little goes such a long way. It spreads so well. The weather here has been cold and dry, so it's been pretty unforgiving on my skin. When I use this water cream, it retains moisture and stays hydrated even with the harsh elements. I have combo skin, so both dry and oily, but this cream works well with both. It's strong enough to keep the dry areas hydrated, but it's not too strong to where it makes the oily areas more oily and out of control.
