Cannot understand these great reviews! This Blue Malva shampoo and conditioner is simply awful. By far the worst I’ve used. The price point is ridiculous for the lack of result. Not only does it do NOTHING for my highlighted natural blonde hair, it actually actively makes the colour worse! After first use my highlights were dull and hair was really dry. Even when I piled the conditioner on I couldn’t get my brush though it. I should clarify that my hair has always been manageable and neither dry nor greasy, just luckily have shiny and soft hair so I was really shocked that a product had actually given me problems! I tried to keep using it because you can (ridiculously enough) only buy the huge bottles (what a scam), but I had to give it away to a friend because it was making my hair so lustreless. Omg. Who was in charge of getting rid of clove and chamomile shampoo and conditioner? Send them away and bring back our beloved shampoo. I have very sensitive skin and after not wanting to pay $50 plus for a giant jug of color depositing shampoo, I looked everywhere where for something similar. In the end, I decided not having my hair fall out using something harsher was not ideal and I bought this. My hair changed drastically in a week. It's healthier than it's ever been. So far the best Purple Shampoo I've found. I have not used it long but My hair shines and actually feels thicker and softer. It hasn't really taken out all my brassiness yet but maybe after a few more uses it will. I am transitioning from medium brown colored treated hair to my natural white/grey hair that I'm letting grow out. Hopefully this is a helpful review because I address some of the complaints I saw before writing this. My hair stylist suggested I use this shampoo, however because I have an extremely sensitive scalp( I even have to use steroids on my scalp a couple times a week) so I still only use Free&Clean shampoo & conditioner directly on my scalp which I wash twice because of oil build up. But then I use the Redken Blue Toning shampoo on the rest of my hair just not the scalp.. my hair is down to my butt and very thick and wavy so I use a lot of product. I've read reviews saying it doesn't lather, but honestly it lathers really well and I'm guessing they must have so much oil in their hair they haven't done a quick wash and rinse first or use too much daily product so they probably need to wash twice anyways. I have the shampoo sit on my hair for 5 minutes. During that time I rinse off the shower curtain and walls to wash away the blue (c'mon people… it will only stain if you let it sit) then I rinse out and have the conditioner sit for 5 minutes and it is NIGHT & DAY from when I used to get highlights. I started using this right after highlights and after almost 2 months my color still looks perfect without the brassy or red. I wished I had this the past 10 years because my hair has faded copper/brassy my whole life. I'm obsessed and will continue using on all my hair and just avoiding the scalp! I bought previous version of this shampoo and I loved it very much. It was perfect for me. New formula is not the same, unfortunately. I have thin natural hair which gets dirty every day, so I wash it every morning. With previous formula of this shampoo I could wash my hair once per two days and it really gave me a little volume. But now I don't get any kind of volume, my hair is flat. I use this shampoo with Redken Volume conditioner and my hair don't feel any volume at all. Also my hair gets greasy by the end of a day. This product absolutely works. In fact, if you use it daily it will make your hair too dark. Use it daily, then back off to twice a week. Some have complained that it stains your nails. You're absolutely right it does! If hair color is to work, it must dye keratin, which makes up your hair and nails. Throw a rubber glove into the shower and keep it there to use with this stuff. For best results, rub it into dry hair and leave it while you do everything else in the shower. Also, this leaves the aroma of hair dye in your hair, because….. it is hair dye. I suggest hitting your hair with conditioner afterward, or better yet, follow use with a color shampoo that has a pleasant aroma such as Gem Lites brown pearl. (Hair dye like the ControlGX comes out of the bottle white and colors the core of the hair shaft, colored shampoos that come out of the bottle black like Gem Lites color the outside of the hair shaft.) Someone posted to leave the shampoo in for thirty minutes to get good results. Don’t! It is a hair dye with chemicals. You risk damaging your hair and/or irritating your scalp. It is designed to work gradually. If you leave it in too long, you WILL damage your hair. The product is meant to be used as directed and is very effective. I keep my goatee a little long, about an inch on the chin. It was grey/white, with a little black mixed in. I had tried coloring it once in the past and freaked out at the results and shaved it off. So although I was skeptical, I was willing to try a gradual reduction product. It took a couple of washes before I started noticing any change, and yes, the white hair did take on a purplish hue. But I decided to see it through and stayed with it. I even doubled up on washes a few times that first week or so. By the third week, the purplish hue was gone, and I'm left with a natural looking dark color somewhere between really dark brown to black. I love the results and hope this product stays in production. Don't get freaked out by the transition phase. If my buddies had noticed they would have had a blast pointing it out. I actually pointed out to them what I had done, and the results were so good they were just like, wow yeah your beard was white! No one noticed as it was changing. Try it, be bold. I usually use L’Oréal’s Elvive purple shampoo so it was interesting to try the brands more expensive line. . . Unlike other purple shampoos this one had a more chemically smell. I also found my hair felt quite dry after using it and it was quite difficult to brush. I do love the tone it’s given my blonde hair, a nice silvery tone. I would have liked to try it with the conditioner to see if that improved the dryness of the shampoo but I can’t complain. Overall I’m happy with the outcome from using this shampoo, just a shame it’s so drying.
This is the best purple shampoo I have ever used. I find a lot of other purple shampoos on the market to be incredibly drying for the hair and staining. This is wonderful. Nice smell, great consistency and leaves hair with no brassiness whilst also keeping it in good condition and feeling hydrated. I use shampoo bar soaps for my hair. This product works well as a light conditioner after shampooing. It has a nice light scent and helps curb the winter static. This spray does not weigh down my baby fine hair adding softness, shine and protection from blow drying. The main ingredients are water based silicone with herbal touches. I'm good with the fairly safe ingredient list. The only con is that it does not spray out of the bottle very well.sharona

I received this conditioner as a sample and was keen to try it after using Sisley skin care products. I have medium length, thick hair that is highlighted so I thought that this would be perfect for my hair. I really liked the smell. It reminded me of a citrusy men's aftershave. But, I was surprised at how thin the consistency is. You really have to be careful when it comes out of the tube to not let it run away. It had a decent effect on my hair but nothing outstanding. I reveived a sample of the Sisley HAIR RITUEL GENTLE PURIFYING SHAMPOO. Now Sisiley is overall a more high end brand. I know some off the skincare line and what I have used was beautiful. This shampoo is also very nice. But with a sample you cannot attest to its longterm effects. I tried this product as a sample. I have very thick medium length curly hair. The 15ml sample was enough for me to try once (quite sparingly) and I will say it was nice. Truthfully, it's a simple hair conditioner. I loved the fragrance, It smelled gorgeous, which didn't surprise me as I wear one of their parfum regularly. However, my fragrances last a long time but I go through hair conditioner very quickly. The smell alone doesn't warrant purchase at that price and it didn't do anything miraculous for me to even slightly consider. Well, super bummed. I liked the light scent. It doesn't smell "good" but not bad either and it doesn't linger so I don't care about that. First time I used, literally thought I forgot to rinse conditioner out. So I washed next day (usually only wash twice a week). My hair was fine, but seemed a bit heavy. Used it yesterday without the conditioner this time because I used a hair mask (which I've been using for years). Could tell immediately when rinsing the mask my hair felt really weird. Then again today everything but the top most layer is a weird filmy greasy mess! So it's not just the conditioner, but the shampoo. It leaves a gross film on my hair making it super greasy. I have an oilier scalp but I can still go days between washes. This stuff somehow has the strands extremely oily! Will definitely return this one. I'm an Ulta employee and I decided to try this when we first got it in our location. I tried the Ghost line's kit and it just wasn't for me (I feel that it weighed my hair down a bit but my hair is really finicky) so I was afraid to try the hydration line. My hair isn't super fine but it's also not really thick, just kinda in the middle, but I have A LOT of hair. I used to get a full highlight every three months for 8 years before deciding to dye it darker. My hair is a little damaged to say the least and it's pretty dry. I tried the shampoo and conditioner, and was surprised at how nice the shampoo lathered despite being sulfate free. Over time I noticed that my hair didn't fade as quickly as when I used my bumble and bumble line. My hair felt healthier and hydrated, but without any weird residue, texture, or weigh down. I decided to take advantage of Coronavirus quarantine to "go natural". My hair is a dark brunette, so growing out the silver is a challenge. Taking the situation seriously, I read all the best practices to make the transition easier. The best recommendation was to use a purple toned shampoo and conditioner. Before I started using this shampoo, my hair was grey. This shampoo makes it straight-up silver. Not exaggerating. I have tried every purple shampoo on the market (high-end & drug store), & they all have one thing in common: they dry out your hair each time you use them. So you have to follow each wash with a heavy-duty conditioner. Not the case with this gem from Rene Furterer! I've used this as my only shampoo, for months at a time, and it never dries out my hair. In addition, for me it deposits just the right amount of color to make my hair look like glistening sterling silver. I've been using the Pantene Pro V Brilliant Blondie Illuminating Sulfate Free Shampoo for 2 weeks and I'm impressed! First things first, this formula is FREE OF sulphates, parabens, dyes, silicones, and mineral oils which is a winner in my book. I liked the scent of this shampoo, it was heavy enough so that after your hair was dry, it lingered for a day or two. If I braided it or had it up in a bun, the scent scent stayed for 3 days! A very CLEAN scent like linen on a breeze. I loved the feeling of my scalp afterwards as it felt very cleansed and clarified. Like it had been rehabbed! LOL Honestly, it felt as though a vacuum had sucked away all the old buildup from past washings. I noticed that my natural highlights were also lightened a lot. Like I had sat in the sun for 1 week straight or I went to the salon and had my highlights done! The one thing I didn't like was it was very hard to get a foamy lather going and I suppose that's because it's a very clean and green shampoo without all the chemicals added to it. I used the Brilliant Blondie Daily Rescue Conditioner in Combination with the Matching shampoo for about 3 weeks. This product claim is that it is free of Paraben, Mineral Oil and Dyes. I like that. It also has Silk Extract and Biotin which should should provide you with silky plump locks. Personally I don't think there is enough of either of these ingredients in the conditioner to notice. They are also the last few ingredients listed on the label. There is however a lot of forms of alcohol in the ingredient list! I have very long hair so when showering I wash my hair immediately, rinse and condition. This gives my conditioner 5 plus minutes to do it's job. It goes on nice and soft and has a very pleasant subtle scent. Once I rinsed it out my hair felt heavier than when using other conditioner. I also had a very hard time each and every time detangling my hair. Overall my hair did not feel good after using. For the entire three weeks of using these products I did not add any other product to my hair and did not style so I would get the full effect of the products used. (Covid allowed this as I am at home). I also air dried my hair everytime. Where the colour was concerned there was absolutely no difference in using the Daily Rescue Conditioner.Teejaie1960
I've been a past purchaser of Pantene, so I was excited to see this new line come out. I'm a natural blonde, who recently lifted my hair with bleach. This product specifically features 0% sulfates, parabens, silicones, dyes and mineral oils which is part of the reason why I was drawn to it. It also features added biotin & silk extract which I've been intrigued by lately in hair care products. The scent of this shampoo was really wonderful, and I really enjoyed it. Sulfate free shampoos tend to lather less, but I found this one still lathered quite well. I can't say that I think the biotin in it helped my hair in any way. On top of that, both the biotin and silk extract are both listed as the last two ingredients which I would presume means they're included in very small quantities. That being said, I did like the overall look of my hair after using this. I also really like the look and shape of the bottle/packaging of this. It fits really well in my shower and makes the usability of the product really great. Overall, I think I would buy this product again – and would likely recommend it to others. If I were to change anything, I would remove the biotin, add more silk extract and make it more hydrating.Natalie1962

I was searching for a new go to shampoo and conditioner, something for my fine but thick, damaged and frizzes easily hair (its humid in the south), as I'm growing it out since I had to do a big chop. I did alot of searching online reading reviews on all products, that was my make or break on finally making a purchase. WTBS I'm super happy with this product and have been using it for over a month before even writing a review. The shampoo is so fragrant, it WOW'd me, it doesn't smell that strong out the bottle, I love it, but if you are sensitive to strong scents you might not like it, but after using over a week or so, you get used to its power and enjoy it alot. Lathers well, my hair feels super clean and soft, mega sleek is exactly what you get with this combination. When blow drying you can still smell the luxurious smell, faintly not over powering but where you know your hair smells SO GOOD! My frizz and fly aways are definitely helped by this product. I normally straighten my hair almost daily, but since my big chop and I'm growing out my natural hair, I want it super healthy and the least amount damaged as possible, so right now no flat iron only blow drying and it looks very good! I haven't had a haircut in over 22 weeks so I can only imagine how it would look straightened with the help of this Mega Sleek. This will be my shampoo and conditioner for a long time. The conditioner is nice and slimey (if you have hair like mine that will tangle horribly and you need a slimey conditioner just to be able to comb it after.. my hair is shoulder length now, but used to be LONG, my hair acts no different with a different length), its very conditioning and works very well!!! I have zero complaints on both these products and do recommend! Only warning is the scent if you are sensitive, you can always try and return, but give it a fair chance. I honestly love this stuff and so glad I found the right product so I can stick with something that makes me and my hair happy. FINALLY!! P.S. I leave my conditioner upside down, so its easier to squeeze it out VS shaking the bottle to get the conditioner to come out since its thick not runny.Jessica
I really love that this product truly makes my fizzy, wavy hair less frizzy and sleek! I come out of the shower with shiny hair and it seems to stay much more tame than with standard shampoos!! I have huge blonde hair care regiment but recently was sent this samples from Pinchme.com and I fell in love with this product the moroccanoil blonde perfecting shampoo and conditioner color care. I could tell after one use the different in my strands as far as they felt fuller softer and a lot stronger too. I have already purchased my own and is in its way in the mail as we speak. But I can’t say enough about the shampoo seriously the strength added to my hair after using and the toning feature was amazing. I have different depths of blonde and I felt that this made those lighter money pieces that perfect icy I’ve been looking for + strengthening in other product and only found here. Others I have to use separate product .. with moraccanoil u get it all in one tube!! Smell is beautiful the product color is rich purple and it won’t leave ur hair heavy or with residue. But clean and healthy feeling. I used as shampoo then rinsed … swueeze out all water from hair with hands and reapply from front hair line back to ur ends and massage thru without sudsing up the product and leave set for 10/15 minutes depending on how porous ur hair is. (Do this for more toning effect) Mines was needing toned again and is pretty porous so I left in longer… but not too long. Anyhow I’d recommend to anyone who has chemically treated and or damaged hair needing give it some TLC. Price is fair considering other brand and they dint work as well as this one trust me.. I’ve wasted a lot of money trying to find the right ones to maintain my blond locks!! Also I left my conditioner in for about 5minutes too. But my hair is very dry of course. Thus those luxurious healing oils in moroccanoil products… u get more strength tans healing from them than any other!! I think this is the combo for me! Today is my first day using the Moroccanoil Purple Shampoo and the Moroccanoil Purple Conditioner, and here's my thoughts: Both the shampoo and conditioner have a rich purple color, which is nice since most conditioners I've tried in the past are much lighter in color compared to their shampoo counterpart. Both smell really nice, too. I left the shampoo in for about 5 minutes, rinsed, and then I left the conditioner in for probably 5+ minutes before I rinsed with cold water. This is the best toning combination I've ever tried. After one use, I can definitely tell the difference in less brassiness. I wouldn't recommend leaving both products in as long as I did, however – I purposely did so to see if I could get a dramatic result, and a few strands have a very light violet/gray tone to them, which I love! I will definitely be buying both the shampoo and conditioner soon since I think both will help keep my hair healthy and a nice shade of blondechopper923
It has got rich, creamy and lathering texture, don’t need to use a lot of product and it lathers through the hair well. The colour is brightly deep purple and pigmented. The scent feels a bit strong during washing but after washing and through the day hair smell nice, refreshed and fragrance is mild. After washing hair is easy to brush but once hair is dry combing is a bit harder, hair feels dry and like straws therefore it causes some hair breakage. There is much difference in hair tone, hair looks much brighter, shiner, radiant, lighter and improved in colour. On the second day hair still feels clean and fresh in scent, however I have noticed that this shampoo dries out hair and strips off it’s natural moisture. Another minus for this product that it stains under nails and some dry skin areas which takes time to wash off. I would not use this product frequently but occasionally (once a week or once in two weeks). But I would definitely recommend for colour improvement, brightening and lightening dullness in colour.irina.g

I received the Pureology Hydrate Sheer products from Influenster for review purposes and have been using the shampoo & conditioner combo for the past 2.5-3 weeks to give it a fair chance prior to reviewing. For reference I have fine, wavy hair that has considerable damage and split-ends from bleaching my hair every 3 months as well as pretty regular use of hot tools/blowdryer. Therefore, I'm in desperate need of hydrating/repairing products that also don't weigh down my fine hair. As for the Hydrate Sheer Shampoo, it's a decent shampoo and gets the job done. A little bit goes a long way, it lathers very nicely and it rinses out easily. My hair is admittedly softer and hydrated after using the shampoo/conditioner pair together – however, I do NOT think this shampoo outperforms my regular favorite shampoos/conditioners from other high end brands – and at this price point I really do expect a higher quality product or at least a more noticable change after nearly 3 weeks of continued use. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent at first, but it did grow on me over time and now I quite enjoy the fragrance. Overall, it's a nice shampoo and I will continue to use the rest of the bottle, but I would not repurchase products from this line as I feel there are better performing shampoos out there for damaged hair at a more affordable price point.JillLo
I have been on a hair journey these past couple of years, including currently growing out my silvers. With this in mind, I expect my non-dyed hair to react differently to shampoos as it grows out more and more, but I have a ways to go still so this review is largely focusing on colored hair. I’ve tried different shampoos in the Pureology line before, and this one feels fairly par for the course. It does not have that endothermic minty coolness of other Pureology products, but it does leave my hair feeling clean. Some people have mentioned it made their hair feel immediately more brittle, but I didn’t notice that. Please note: This is a clarifying shampoo, so perhaps people mistook the removal of product build-up (and the damage that build-up causes) as the shampoo ‘causing brittleness.’ I did immediately follow with conditioner, and then utilized my typical post-wash oils/thermal protection products. My hair feels nice and I do notice nice volume for a couple of days. It’s not a miracle worker, obviously, it’s just a shampoo. You’re not going to get 80s hair from just a shampoo. I only wash my hair every two weeks, and this shampoo/conditioner line didn’t cause excess oil production that would make me need to wash more often, so that is a plus in my book. All this being said, I will likely keep this in rotation with my Olaplex, Oribe, Ouai, and Briogeo products.debra.r
I love the fact that this product is vegan and cruelty free, although it is owned by parent company L'Oreal that does test on animals. The packaging is supposedly made of 95% recycled plastic. Because I was aware of the claims that it contains menthol and burns some people's scalp, I tried my best to follow others' advice and put it mostly on the ends of my hair rather than rubbing it into the scalp. It definitely has a strong mint smell and I still felt a prominent cooling sensation after a few moments even though I avoided putting it on my scalp. The strong menthol combined with hot shower steam stung my eyes a bit so I can't even imagine what it would be like accidentally getting this in your eyes. I wasn't a huge fan of my hair smelling like mint while wet after the shower but the smell faded when my hair dried. After using both the shampoo and conditioner, my hair felt softer and shiny but not dramatically different than when I use drugstore products. I noticed some improvement in my hair's frizziness. Just like with the shampoo, I find this bottle difficult to open. I don't think I would personally purchase this product. But if you're a fan of mint-scented hair products, don't mind spending more money and would prefer a refreshing/revitalizing conditioner, then it might be for you.karolina .k
