I have 2b/2c medium density fine hair that is naturally frizzy and inconsistent so products and appliances are necessary. I'm thankful I have a full head of hair. I've been straightening for twenty years and this is leagues above any flat iron I've tried including my G2 Chi. Why? The two inch plates cover more ground and your straightening time is cut in half. There is no messing with temperature which frankly I never knew the right number anyway. No burning or singing smell. You only need one pass for super sleek results. The iron glides through hair without pulling or snagging anything. You can get close enough to the roots to smooth without burning your scalp. My ends actually look healthy afterward. I personally prefer It's a 10 miracle leave in with keratin when my hair is damp and before blow drying over serums because the ratio of ingredients is balanced. You get heat protection without overloading your hair with silicone. Lastly, I've found that keeping the hair tools unplugged while not in use extends their life. I hope this one lasts years. Bought this a few weeks ago. Delivery is quick. The straightener is average quality. My hair is really curly and thick and it takes about 45mins – 1hr to get it straight. Have to go over strands a few times to get it very straight. I have used the ghd for a long time and find that the original straighteners were much more efficient and effective. Whilst the wide plate is helpful I don't know if this is the best out there anymore. Wish the quality stayed better over the years. Had to get this one because my last one just stopped working with no warning. It was working one moment and just went dead 🙁 Don't know how I feel about this one, no real improvements or innovation. My hair is also very curly, thick and long and it would be nice to see products catered and improved for these hair types. I have been straightening my hair since I was a teenager. I am 42 now. I started out with a clothes iron because I have always had long hair (still do!) and it is hard to straighten. Over the years, I have tried TONS of straighteners, hot combs, and other methods in order to straighten my long, wavy/curly hair. My problem was that the straighteners were always too small, they didn't get hot enough, or they required multiple passes to straighten my hair. However…..THIS straightener really worked well on my hair. The first pass got everything straight, the 2nd made it perfect. I do like the design, however I really wish there was a temperature control– I like to pick my own temperature, and this wasn't an option. But that wasn't a deal breaker-â€� since it got my hair super straight without frying my hair, unlike some other straightener hot combs I have. This is my first experience with GHD, and I am impressed. My hair doesn't snag or catch on the plates– they are super smooth. I also don't have any "hand fatigue" holding this straightener (I have RA and sometimes I hand gets tired if the appliance is difficult or awkward to hold.) All in all— a straightener I can really get behind. I love the high quality and elevated look of T3 styling products. I couldn’t wait to try this new 1.5 inch straightener because I’ve never used any straightener that is larger than the standard 1 inch. My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. I started out with freshly washed hair and applied heat protectant before blow drying it. Then, I sectioned my hair and ran a comb through before straightening each piece on heat setting 4. There was a noticeable difference in how fast I was able to straighten my hair. I was able to use larger sections of hair because the straightening plates are both wider and longer on the T3 Lucea compared to standard straighteners. This significantly decreased the time it took to style my full head of hair. After straightening my hair, it was very smooth and sleek. Typically, after I straightening my hair, it begins to frizz up a couple hours later, however the ceragloss plates locked in smoothness for a frizz-free finish. I was able to rock my straight sleek style for DAYS because of this. The before and after photo speaks for itself. This straightener successfully smoothed my frizz and lengthened my hair. I love this T3 Lucea 1 1/2” flat iron! It has quickly become my favorite! I was first surprised how pretty it is! I love the white. Very chic! It gets hot very fast and has a neat way of changing the heat. You just push the button twice and it lets you adjust accordingly. What’s great about this feature is you won’t accidentally change your heat setting my accidentally tapping the button with your pinky because you just tap twice in a row! I love that it’s slightly rounded so I can get an awesome soft curl. I only have to do one pass when straightening and I love that too! I’ve always been intrigued to try a 1.5 inch straightener. Typically, I have always used the standard 1 inch straightening iron. My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. When I straighten my hair, my hair typically becomes frizzy shortly after styling. I washed and dried my hair as usual. Before straightening my hair, I applied the same heat protectant that I regularly use. I used the heat setting 4 because the instruction guide states that heat settings 1-4 work best for fine hair. After sectioning my hair, I ran a comb through the section before running the straightener through. I am able to take larger sections than I usually do because the straightening plates are both longer and wider than a standard 1 inch straightener. This has significantly sped up the time it takes to style my hair. After straightening my hair, it looked extremely sleek and shiny. The ceragloss plates helped my hair to remain sleek and straight for DAYS after styling. I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. I used this flat iron about once a week and loved it. The temperature heats very quickly but the downside is that it shuts off after 30 minutes. I have really long thick hair and it takes me about one hour to straighten all of it. So it’s a bit of an inconvenience shutting off after 30 minutes. I was really disappointed that after having it for only a few months, it began malfunctioning, saying “error” on the display and turning off every 10 minutes.
I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.krystal .d

T3 is a brand I love already. I’ve purchased three blow dryers over the years because I love them that much. I don’t straighten my hair that often for no particular reason but I decided to try the Lucea 1'' Professional Straightening Styling Flat Iron. To be honest, I didn’t like it at first only because I was trying to use it as a curling iron to create waves which was an epic fail. I’m not sure if it’s just above my pay grade or I don’t have the dexterity but it didn’t work nonetheless 😂. I even watched videos on YouTube and it looked so easy 😠. I do like it however as a flat iron. This really has no bells or whistles. It’s a simple, straightforward flat iron. It has nine heat settings and it comes with a chart so you know the perfect temperature for your particular hair type. My hair glides through effortlessly without any snagging or pulling and my hair comes out shiny, smooth but still has body. I don’t like when flat irons make the hair pin straight. It lacks body, depth and fullness and I don’t think it’s a flattering look. This one luckily doesn’t do that. It tames flyaways, frizz and makes the hair look healthier. This uses ceramic, rounded, even-heat plates so it’s less abrasive on the hair and actually promotes hair health. This has an automatic shut off after an hour too. I received a T3 Lucea 1.5" Thick hair iron from Tryitsampling. It arrived in great condition. I love the design and it includes a manual for you to identify which number suits your hair. Very elegant and so neat. This claims to be great even on coarse hair, as it is equipped with wider plates and T3 RapidHeatIQ Technology. I have a new original CHI analog flat iron, but kind of missed having the option of adjusting the heat level (I got the one that is set at 392) when styling my hair so decided to splurge on a T3 as a back up. I really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, but I am really glad I invested in this because it is probably one of the best flat irons I've used in years. It has its particular cons – I would like a lock on the plates to keep them closed when not in use, and I think it does slightly dry out the hair a wee bit more than others, but, it does style better, so! The way the plates are shaped, you can do perfect waves and red carpet curls without needing to manipulate your hair a lot. I was testing this the day I got it, and was able to get beautiful, shiny, bouncy curls by simply rolling the flat iron and twisting right after while the hair was still hot. Oh, and it gets HOT! Like, super HOT! I turned it down a little because even at level 4, I felt a good amount of heat coming off the plates. Surprisingly, you can hold the iron without gloves or a cloth and not burn yourself. It is slightly more drying than my CHI as I previously mentioned, but I think it's a lot more versatile and more adept at creating a wider range of styles, so that is a big plus for me. I've owned my straightener for a couple years and it still works as well as when I bought it. The plates are smooth and don't break my hair off. It heats up quickly and has an automatic shut off for safety. It has several heat settings. I can work with fairly large hair sections and it comes out straight with one pass. This brand and product was the first flat iron I owned, after the first one broke several years after, I was gifted another brand that after several years broke as well. I decided to go back to CHI, but the temperature didn’t seem very high and I had to repeat ironing the same area several times. I don’t remember this happening with the first one I owned. I don't typically write reviews. The CHI G2 flat iron is an excellent professional results tool. The passes at the roots of my hair are not uncomfortable/hot on my scalp. The previous flat iron I owned for 10 years began to pull my hair. Passes at the roots of my hair were uncomfortably hot. I decided to purchase a professional quality tool this time around. The plates glide smoothly over my hair with no pulling/tugging. I don't feel heat on my scalp yet I can straighten the roots of my hair. That extra quarter inch makes a difference for longer hair. The heat is consistent. Love the digital settings. I use medium prefixed setting and within a minute it is fully heated. You'll only need one pass through to get smooth results. There is no tugging or pulling the hair. You can get close to the roots easily. I run the iron all the way down except the last inch to protect my ends. Also, the plates are positioned just right so that you never burn your scalp. Just received my new Chi G2 straightener today. I LOVE IT! it works so good! My older original Chi still works but I noticed my hair just wasn’t getting as straight as it used to so I purchased this one and it works soooo good! I have 2b/2c medium density fine hair that is naturally frizzy and inconsistent so products and appliances are necessary. I'm thankful I have a full head of hair. I've been straightening for twenty years and this is leagues above any flat iron I've tried including my G2 Chi. Why? The two inch plates cover more ground and your straightening time is cut in half. There is no messing with temperature which frankly I never knew the right number anyway. No burning or singing smell. You only need one pass for super sleek results. The iron glides through hair without pulling or snagging anything. You can get close enough to the roots to smooth without burning your scalp. My ends actually look healthy afterward. I personally prefer It's a 10 miracle leave in with keratin when my hair is damp and before blow drying over serums because the ratio of ingredients is balanced. You get heat protection without overloading your hair with silicone. Lastly, I've found that keeping the hair tools unplugged while not in use extends their life. I hope this one lasts years. Bought this a few weeks ago. Delivery is quick. The straightener is average quality. My hair is really curly and thick and it takes about 45mins – 1hr to get it straight. Have to go over strands a few times to get it very straight. I have used the ghd for a long time and find that the original straighteners were much more efficient and effective. Whilst the wide plate is helpful I don't know if this is the best out there anymore. Wish the quality stayed better over the years. Had to get this one because my last one just stopped working with no warning. It was working one moment and just went dead 🙁 Don't know how I feel about this one, no real improvements or innovation. My hair is also very curly, thick and long and it would be nice to see products catered and improved for these hair types. I have been straightening my hair since I was a teenager. I am 42 now. I started out with a clothes iron because I have always had long hair (still do!) and it is hard to straighten. Over the years, I have tried TONS of straighteners, hot combs, and other methods in order to straighten my long, wavy/curly hair. My problem was that the straighteners were always too small, they didn't get hot enough, or they required multiple passes to straighten my hair. However…..THIS straightener really worked well on my hair. The first pass got everything straight, the 2nd made it perfect. I do like the design, however I really wish there was a temperature control– I like to pick my own temperature, and this wasn't an option. But that wasn't a deal breaker-â€� since it got my hair super straight without frying my hair, unlike some other straightener hot combs I have. This is my first experience with GHD, and I am impressed. My hair doesn't snag or catch on the plates– they are super smooth. I also don't have any "hand fatigue" holding this straightener (I have RA and sometimes I hand gets tired if the appliance is difficult or awkward to hold.) All in all— a straightener I can really get behind. I have purchased other straightener for over $200 in the past, and I wasn't happy with them..However THIS one was an Influenster "sample" aka #GHDVoxBox and I am in love with it! I'll start off by mentioning the size of this straightener. The Dyson Corrale is bigger and heavier than most straighteners which isn't bad just takes some getting used to. It has a magnetic charging dock which is awesome as it securely holds the straightener in place and can be charged in between uses. Instead of laying it flat on the counter (or on the heat resistant travel pouch it comes with) you can just dock it and pick it back up while working on sections of hair. In terms of battery life itself I expected this to hold the charge longer at this price point. A full charge will last you about 3 hours (it lasts me about 2 and a half days of use) before it needs to be charged again. It's marketed as a way to use less heat to achieve straight strands. I have fine thin hair and use this straightener at 365 degrees and have noticed that my hair starts to wave after a few hours. Meaning, If I straighten my hair today – I'll have to straighten it tomorrow again if I want pin straight strands. I feel it does not keep my hair straight as long as my CHI straightener does. I will continue to use this straightener over my CHI since I love all the features and how it looks overall. My only real complaint is the lack of battery life and that it does not hold my hair straight as long as cheaper options do. Unfortunately, the straightener did not live up to the quality of all of the other Dyson products that I own. First, it does not straighten very well at all. If you’re looking to just get the frizz out of your hair, then it will work but it won’t get it truly straight. I should have returned this as soon as I knew but I decided to live with it and liked the fact that it was cordless. However a couple of months later, the lock button completely fell off! I contacted Dyson customer support multiple times simply to get a replacement button. Finally, they said that they would replace the entire unit. However, at that moment in time they didn’t have the purple in stock. I have the purple hairdryer sitting on a purple stand and asked if I could wait until they had it back in stock to which I was told that wasn’t possible I had to choose from one of the other colors that was available. I chose not to do that and have been using the end of a barrette to lock and unlock the straightener that doesn’t straighten. For reference, In addition to the hairdryer and the straightener, we own three Dyson vacuum cleaners and they have always been fantastic not sure what went wrong with this appliance. I was so excited to finally get to try one of the infamous Dyson hair styling tools! The Dyson Corrale is a flat iron that has the option to be used without a cord and is also rechargeable. The Corrale has a maximum temperature of 410 degrees. I have naturally curly 3c/4a hair that's thick and mid length. I washed and blow dried my hair first and then used the Dyson Corrale to finish off my look. Pros: * cordless option – great because you don't have to worry about the cord getting in the way when using and it can be convenient when on the go * leaves hair shiny and sleek – I have black hair which can sometimes look dull if not styled properly and the Dyson gave my finished look sleekness and with a nice sheen * works great on thicker and curly textured hair – sometimes larger brand products aren't geared towards hair types that some ethic groups have but the Dyson worked great on my thick, course hair which is natural with no chemical straighter. * charge is decent – I was able to straighten roughly 90% of my hair off of a full charge which was about 35 minutes. * digital display makes it easy to know the status of your iron's charge levels and temperature * stand and carrying case come with the iron – the stand is very convenient when using the iron to style Cons: * heavier than the average flat iron – while it wasn't an issue for me just know the iron does have some weight to it..likely due to the rechargeable battery…which can take a moment to get used to * charge – while I think the amount of time the Corrale holds its charge when in use, 30 minutes is not a long time for those who have thicker and longer hair. I was amazed at how amazing this straighter worked on my hair. I have thick, long, and frizzy hair and I had a 1 inch straightener for a very long time and I thought a bigger plate would speed up the process because of how long and thick it is. AND IT DID! It didn't tug on hairs or anything. You don't even have to clamp it hard for it to get straightened. The only part i was upset about is that the product details said it would come with a mat to put my straightener on and it didn't. Why put it in the product details if it doesn't come with it. Packaging could be better if I'm paying over $200 for a straightener. When I bought my Amika straightener it was was very well packaged in a very nice hard case and came with a protector for it. T3 needs to step up their game in their packaging. Overall though, very good straightener for my hair.Can I please get my mat?

Let me start by saying I've been doing my hair for a very long time, I prefer a voluminous messy look or a classy tousled wavy one. My hair is on the thicker side, but the hair itself is pretty fine. It's down to the middle of my back with quite a few long and medium layers. Also there is a slight wave to it if I were to just let it airdry, and holds a curl somewhat decent, but not the best. It is healthy with quite a bit of shine, I definitely prioritize taking care of my hair, for sure. I try to use really good products on my hair, and that includes tools, so I usually have to save up for them, they tend to be pricey! Lol. I have 2 straighteners from 2 very well known brands that both tug, catch, and pull breaking my hair… So, needless to say they are collecting expensive dust in my room. When I got the opportunity to try this tool from GHD I was beyond excited, for once I didn't have to go without to get a quality tool. I received it on Jan 24th and have used it almost every day since. I'm actually having FUN doing my hair again. Zero tugging, pulling, or snapping my hair, glided through like butter, I even checked double checked to make sure it was on, because I felt nothing!!! Beachy waves was my first attempt.. couldn't have done better, they were perfect. I tested the ghd original styler on my 2A/2B hair, slightly damp and with a heat-protectant cream. The box is sturdy and feels nice, definitely great for gift-giving and can be used to store the styler. You plug the styler then hold the power button for a second, which lights up and makes a little sound. After only about 4 seconds, a little tune notifies that the styler is hot, which really helps with avoiding accidental burns. And it actually heats up that fast!! There is an initial burnt metal smell, but it dissipated quickly and I haven’t smelled it since. This styler is HOT. It felt like I was sitting next to a heater. But for me, the intense heat did make styling more efficient! I definitely recommend using a heat protectant and keeping an eye on how your hair reacts to this styler!! My personal method of straightening hair with this styler is to do a smooth downward swipe (not hold) on a section of hair, let the hair cool just until it is just warm and not scorching (you can tell), then repeat as necessary until the settled hair is styled as desired. I found that holding the styler in one place will end up creating an indent, but it was surprisingly easy to smooth it over with another quick swipe. Holding the styler is great for some styles, like waves, and the indenting is just something to keep in mind when straightening hair. I was surprised at how smooth, no-frizz, and soft my hair actually was afterwards. The strands weren’t crunchy at all, and they even flowed weightlessly like in a commercial! This ghd original styler worked great for me. The design is easy to wield without accidentally touching skin or straining your hands, and it doesn’t produce a cheap chemical/burnt smell. Overall, I very much like it! If you have been looking for a styler and are willing to splurge on a product that actually works, this is a product that follows through on hype. I have very long, highlighted, thick, combination hair. My top layer being relatively straight, and bottom layers being wavy and curly with sections that are kinky. Now that that’s out of the way… I used the Original 1” Styler 3 different ways, because some days I’m lazy, and some days I actually have the time to put “pro-effort” into my hairstyle, either by straightening or curling it. For my thick hair the Classic Styler straightens better than it curls. If I want the curls to last all day and not fall out I have to start curling my hair from its natural state. With that being said, in order for me to get smooth curls that don’t have any creases or kink in the individual hair strands, I have to pass over my hair at least once before I go in for the actual curling motion… which means when I actually go over it that second time the curl it isn’t as curly, and even has some areas that want to fall immediately. This is not due to the temperature of the straightener though, because it does get perfectly hot. I’m leaning more towards it being the single zone technology paired with my hair being very thick. If you have thin to average hair you’ll have an amazing result curling. When it came to taking the time to pro-straighten my hair by taking 1 inch sections, I really like how the plates glide over the sections of hair easily. It’s also not heavy, and I don’t have to squeeze hard to get good pressure on the hair; which means my hands and arms didn’t get tired. After my hair cooled it was 100% straight, with a lovely, soft and frizz free feel. This lasted all day long too. Last thing I did was “lazy” straightened it by not sectioning or isolating any of it at all… So starting with air dried hair in its natural form, I ran the straightener through my hair randomly. This is where the Classic Styler really shines! It DOES NOT pull on hair or snag at all. Not even a little! I was super impressed by this. The results of this lazy method were fantastic for putting minimal effort in! I cannot stress this enough. I really think that the Classic 1” Styler is a great 1st time straightener if you aren’t ready for a slightly larger investment with one of their higher end straighteners with more features, and you’ll love the way this straightener performs! It's done me well, but I have frizzy, curly, fine on the bottom, course on the top red hair that I want to keep looking beautiful. When I say curly I am talking weird 2A on the bottom layer and a 3B on the top layer (get a devacurl stylist they are the best at cutting and determining your curl type). So I always used a chi before my sultra but I gave it away to my cousin when it started to snag. My hair always smelled burnt with both sultra and chi. I tried the chi G2, and don't like it and will be returning (I had to use it on higher heat and still didn't smooth it out like the babybliss). Then I tried the babybliss ultra thin and I liked it initially but the housing gets hot and it felt almost like I couldn't grip it (and I have tiny hands). I got the 1 3/4 and love it! Nice grip and got the free mini iron. The thing that sucks is that it doesn't have dual/universal voltage. I might be getting a separate one just for that. But I love this iron. I can also use it with less heat! 300-340 got my hair PIN STRAIGHT. This might not be for everyone but for the curly gals like me with weird curl types this might just be your savior. I previously had been using a GHD straightener I bought YEARS ago and decided it was time for an upgrade. After doing lots of research and considering my budget, I decided to purchase this BabyLiss Pro Titanium straightener. I liked that it had the adjustable heat settings, which was something that my previous straightener did not. However, I noticed that it didn't really glide through my hair, and occasionally it would pull pieces of my hair, which obvious hurt! Even using it on the lower heat settings, my hair ALWAYS smelled burnt. I just purchased a new straightener from a different company, because I'm NOT A FAN of this one at all. While I'm waiting to receive my new one, I went back to my old GHD straightener. While it takes a little longer to straighten, my hair does NOT smell burnt, in fact, I can still smell my conditioner from last night. And my hair feels noticeably soft and touchable, which it did not with the BabyLiss. I know that with everyone having different texture hair, different people will have different experiences with this straightener. I haven't purchased a hair styling tool since I was 14. I'm terrible with doing my hair and normally only use a heat protectant and hair dryer on my rather geometric lob, but after my hairstylist used this on my hair during my last cut, I decided it was time to attempt styling (albeit the simplest type I could choose). Best I have ever used, after several Ion flat irons. I thought each of them was best when purchased. I bought this to have as backup for when my current Ion was out of commission. I liked it so well, I relegated my current iron to backup and now use this one exclusively. First and primary improvement is that the temp control is located on the inside portion of the iron. On the older one, it was easy to accidentally hit the "off" button (located on the outside of the barrel), cooling the iron. Then had to heat it up again. This Ion heats up quickly and does the job beautifully. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Straight from the box, this straightener has a soft high-quality feel and sleek look. It’s really nice to hold due to whatever material it’s made out of. It’s light and the cord swivels, allowing for a range of motion, so for those of you who want to use it to create waves or curls, it’s really convenient. The straightener also has an auto-shut off feature, which is exactly what I needed because I always worry that I forgot to turn my straightener off. Oddly enough, due to the auto-shut off, this straightener has alleviated a lot of stress for me. Lastly, regarding design, it comes with a heat-proof nozzle, which is such a nice feature when you have a small countertop like I do and tend to burn yourself after you’ve finished straightening your hair. As for straightening, this works wonderfully. I have fine wavy hair that tends to frizz at the tips and curl. It takes me fifteen minutes to straighten my hair, but this straightener made my hair look shinier and straighter without any kinks. For this straightener to cost as much as it does, you’d think it would work properly. I have naturally curly hair which can take about 30 minutes to straighten. This thing shuts off at least 5 times while I’m using it. You don’t realize it until you’ve gone over one piece of hair 6 times because it doesn’t seem to want to straighten. Then you have to wait 2-3 minutes for it warm back up. I end up spending so much more time doing my hair than I normally would. I would recommend purchasing a different brand.Ms24

It is so cute and feels so fancy! It comes in a sturdy box that you could reuse and just looks so well presented. Anyways on to the actual product…\n\nThis iron feels so nice in your hand. I have small hands and i think it is the perfect size. Better yet it is coated in such a soft rubbery type material on the surface which makes it easy to grip and less likely to slip. As someone who easily burns herself on irons by having them slip this is a huge plus for me. At first I was confused where the digital display would be (before I turned it on) but once I did and saw it light up in the pretty rose gold part at the bottom I was very excited. That makes it seem very high end and fancy. Another really great design is the power button- it is on the inside of the straightening iron. How many times have I accidentally turned the power off or the heat up or down? Too many! This totally solves that issue because you can accidentally push a button on the inside. You control the heat and power with that one button and it’s very easy to understand and do. \n\nAnother thing about the design of this iron is the very cool heat resistant cover that comes with it. I haven’t seen this in any other iron and I’m very impressed with it. For storage, traveling, and every day use a cover is beyond helpful to avoid burns. Purchased this model of babybliss because my stylist uses this brand in June 2020. As of January 4, 2021 the item randomly shuts off in the middle of usage. I tried to use different outlets and the issue still happened . My hair always comes out nice and pressed however even at low setting it still smells burnt . Thankfully I always use a heat protector. I called the Ulta Beauty I purchased from was advised to bring in the item to exchange and the old item be marked "Defective" . Drove 45mins only to be advised that the return could not be made in store due to " Covid return policy after 90 days". Contacted Ulta help desk as advised by the associate to get the correct return advice , only to be put on hold and hung up on. **** PLEASE don't think twice. I never write reviews and I created an account just to leave one! 1st let me say I'm mixed. GERMAN and Jamaican. So I have very curly hair. Not coarse though. Very soft curls. However living in FL and trying to combat frizz is an everyday battle. I used my friends baby bliss titanium over the weekend after boating in the ocean and my Royale (mall kiosk) straightener quit working after only 6 months! DONT BUY Royale! I tried to find her exact baby bliss(it was black) but this was titanium and seemed the same. I THINK IT EVEN WORKS BETTER! 🙂 let me tell you. I did my whole head in 10 mins. The super wide plates(1.5") definitely help for faster results. I only needed one pass through my sections of hair. It didn't snag at all! Also I used to have up to high heat (450) this i used on 35 and it worked just fine. I would suggest using a leading comb for easy results(the one good thing from royale) I can't speak to the damaging effects because I haven't had it long enough. HOWEVER, I'm super impressed thus far! Well worth the money and you can use the 20% coupon. Don't think twice i wish i could include pics. Let me just tell you, if you go to @jackielikeskillersmiles on IG all of my pictures of late will have fabulous hair because of this. Also my hair has definitely won the fight with humility in the past 3 rainy humid days. But that may also be bc of the new shampoo and conditioner I found to use also! First lasted me over six years, the second one I was on my third year before it got stolen :/ I'm truly shocked to see the bad reviews as I'm concerned they send a bad batch to Ulta. I've always bought mine from the beauty supply store and never had a problem. I will make sure to sign up for the warranty as all these bad reviews concern me. This has been my ride or die straightener for many many years. I bought the GHD platinum after seeing so many good reviews from YouTubers biggest regret. Would straighten my wavy hair. The fastest heat-up time I have ever seen on a flat iron!! If you're new to a flat iron I suggest you definitely begin with a lower heat setting, then once youve mastered the learning curve gradually increase the heat. This is why the wide range of heat settings on this iron is sooo good!! This irons large surface plates makes it easier to do wider sections of your hair at a time which speeds up the styling time too. This was the first flat iron I ever got. Thank God I have upgraded to a better one. I couldn't stand dealing with this one. Then again my hair is super curly. I am mixed (black and white) so I have very thick long curly hair. I'm not sure how this straightener would've worked on a different hair type, but I know that I eventually resorted to just using it to straighten my bangs. Effectiveness It worked OKAY. I usually had to straighten the smallest sections of hair in order to get it straightened properly. I also had to straighten over the same small pieces of hair a few times to get it straight. There are different heat settings. I usually set mine to the highest because that's what my hair needed. Make sure you do clean it from time to time because that will effect the iron's ability to straighten the way it should. Durability This flat iron is cheaply made. SO BE CAREFUL WITH IT. It's cheap plastic outside and easily susceptible to cracking. I'm pretty sure one of the ceramic pieces even started to come off the flat iron. You get what you pay for.yalaska
I have always used a curling iron even when the flat iron become the new thing. I already have straight hair but it lacks body and volume. The Conair Ultra Slim looked like a experimental flat iron since it's very affordable. I like the curve to the handle, this feature makes it easy to use and feels comfortable the whole time. I figure a slim flat iron would be a better fit for my hair, it's not thick, but it's not thin either. It took me so long to section off each part if my hair and go over it with this Ultra Slim Flat Iron! I used a flat iron spray to help with the hold, and after it was all said and done my hair looked straight but laid flat on my head. I've learned new techniques since purchasing this flat iron and see where this one can help with getting close enough to the roots to add volume. The settings go up to 25, so there's a range of heat to use, it also heats up fast in under a minute. Since it took me so long to go over my entire head of hair I will now use this one as a touch up flat iron or a back up while I travel.
