I have hyperpigmentation along with acne scars so I was excited and curious about using this. I don't love the strong lavender smell it has honestly but after trying it for over a week, I decided it's something I can put up with because I have noticed a improvement with my skin. I kept looking to see when the acne var would be available again. So in the meantime I got SO many Palmer's products. This cream works great for dark spots. I had a lot on my chest due to age and sun damage. Previously, I had 2 IPL treatments without much results. But after using this cream, the spots are getting much smaller, breaking up and going away. It is not greasy and does not smell at all. I'm super sensitive to makeup and lotion smells, but this stuff is great. It does not hurt or burn at all unlike other lotions and creams that I have used. Spots that were larger than a quarter, raised and waxy are now about the size of pencil eraser, so I can see they are smaller. I'm still on my first tube but quickly bought 2 more because I'm working on my back next with the help of a lotion applicator. Friends have noticed a difference in my appearance. Bought Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfect Cream with the serum. Both on £10 Tuesday offer. There isn’t any cream that suit me or doesn’t give me pimples apart from Olay. I’m Olay user the 7 total effects day and night cream as they are the only I’m happy to spend that much money on a cream. I came from Philippines where Olay makes a whitening formula but couldn’t get it here in UK as Olay cater to tanning effect rather than whitening. I got this 2 days ago. I’ve used it twice. On a clean dry face and if I touch my face it just rolls off. So if it rolls off, and doesn’t absorb, then what benefit is my face getting from it? I bought another olay product in in a pump bottle and my skin was just as dry as before I used it. I’m so disappointed. Olay used to be a wonderful product that gave good results. As an African American woman who has been diagnosed with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS)… I have black spots on my legs, armpits, etc. So the scars are pretty obvious and embarrassing. I'm literally only on DAY THREE of using the ponds dark spot corrector (in combination with aloe vera)…. And I'm already noticing a difference! I literally almost cried this morning, because I was so happy to see that it's working! I just hate that I didn't find this stuff sooner. But I'm glad I found it, nonetheless. I have develop discoloration all over my skin cause by this lotion. The bleaching content is very high. At this point, i am looking for can fade away my discoloration especially on my face cause by this lotion. For people who are interested in bleaching is good. Bought this for my acne hyperpigmentation after seeing all the great reviews. I have hormonal acne which usually means that I break out on a monthly based around that time of the month. However, I got prescribed medication for this earlier this year and I barely every break out anymore. So I introduced this serum into my skincare now that it's clearer to start working on those marks. I first tried this for about 3 weeks and was breaking out constantly so I gave it a break and thought maybe it's another serum I started around the same time. So I waited a month to try this again and I put some twice in a row at night only and woke up with crazy acne. I literally take medication that internally controls my acne so I knew what I had used externally was the problem. Not sure what it is with the serum but it was the culprit of my random breakouts. This is an update to my review in August. My first bottle was purchased in June of 2021. I had EXTREMELY bad hyperpigmentation. When I used the combo of the Niacinamide toner and this serum, in 6-8 weeks, my skin was completely cleared up. After the serum was gone, I used the toner a few times a week, because it was all I needed with my clear skin. I’m a picker when I’m under stress, so I purchased another set last month and I knew after a few weeks, something was definitely different. The results weren’t the same. I know this formula has changed. I’m sure you don’t care, but this was the first serum that I found that worked for African American dark skin. Reading some of the reviews, I’m quite sure that you don’t listen to your customers, as I see plenty have stated that they’ve experienced minimal results and you haven’t changed it back to the original formula. Although the claim by the company is that you’ve improved the formula, you didn’t. Sometimes, stronger isn’t better, especially when there’s a breakdown in the quality of this new formulation. This has been one of the best serums I have ever used on my skin!! I have a history of horrific acne, and as it’s been clearing up, this has been a game changer for my routine. With consistent use, I see results within weeks, and this is coming from someone who has tried EVERYTHING. I dermarolled, got frequency facials, changed my diet, took tons of supplements, natural facials, all kinds of chemical facials, and have used countless products for treating my acne and the hyperpigmentation scars left behind, and nothing has worked as well as this has for me. If you’re hesitant, just give it a try (and give it time to work)! Acne is so frustrating already, and even worse what it leaves behind, so be patient, show your skin some TLC, cut down on the number of products you use and just focus on the basics. I saw the biggest changes in my skin when I did this. My best routine is using a cleansing face wash like Vanicream (with no actives like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide), a simple hydrating serum like Hyaluronic acid or moisturizer (no actives) and adding the serum on top or a product with actives to target the problems. Bought Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfect Cream with the serum. Both on £10 Tuesday offer. There isn’t any cream that suit me or doesn’t give me pimples apart from Olay. I’m Olay user the 7 total effects day and night cream as they are the only I’m happy to spend that much money on a cream. I got this 2 days ago. I’ve used it twice. On a clean dry face and if I touch my face it just rolls off. So if it rolls off, and doesn’t absorb, then what benefit is my face getting from it? I bought another olay product in in a pump bottle and my skin was just as dry as before I used it. I’m so disappointed. Olay used to be a wonderful product that gave good results. This product really works! I had a few acne scars and dark sun spots on my face. At first I thought I needed to do some sort of facial peel or something to lighten my skin back to its original color, but I bought this cream just to try it out. That probably one of the best things I could've done. I read some reviews that suggested to wear it twice a day, but I tried just tried wearing it at night. Even then, after the third day of using it I noticed that the cream was working and my skin began to lighten. So I definitely recommend it! It really does work and it is not expensive at all. Ive been using this product for 2 weeks now. I was hoping to see results within the first week and I did! 2/5 scars have improved since I started using this product. Maybe this review gonna help to know this product because looks like nobody uses it. That's some info about it : you can choose the one for oily or for normal skin. I am very surprised how good this cream is. Description on the package says- hydroquinone skin bleaching agent for the gradual fading of dark, brownish spots. Ingredients- vitamin E, alpha hydroxy acid, contains also a sunscreen, which is a big plus for me. You will begin to see results in 2 weeks. This works the best if you use it as a spot treatment, so apply a tip on every dark spot on the face or on your body. Bad thing is that hydroquinone may cause a temporary uptick in redness or dryness at first, especially if you have a sensitive skin. To avoid that about 15 min after application I am applying my regular moisturizer on my skin. Also before you start using this cream you might fo a test on your skin. Overall in my opinion is a very good product and worthed to try, especially that the price is low.agnieszka.r
This stuff WORKS. I struggle from pcos. I have many dark spots on my face and neck from tweezing and doing hair removal. Have been using this for 2 weeks and seeing improvements already (I also use Marie France kojic acid soap and kojic acid serum by Naturium). This also works on elbows and knees! I had leave a review for my Black sisters and brothers out there looking for a fade cream that actually works. I've tried tons of over the counter lighting creams over the years and none of them have worked. I had almost given up, but decided to take to a trip to Walmart. Walmart didn't have much of a selection for products that claim to rid dark spots, but out of what they had I chose Porcelain for its reasonable price and lack of outrageous claims on the box. WOW! I am so glad that I did. Within two days I saw noticeable results. I was super surprised that it worked on my light brown skin since the box shows a picture of a white woman and states that its best used on light skin. Fast forward 13 years and I was still feeling super self conscious about this spot on my cheek. I try to only apply the product one or twice a day every other day to not irritate my skin. So far I haven't noticed any irritation. My mother told me about Porcelana, years ago. I looked at active ingredents in it and compared to other creams for dark spots. Porcelana had double the active ingredents and at a fraction of the cost. I bought some!! I used to to the Palmer's Acne Soap bar, but during pandemic I had trouble getting more. So I tried Neutrogena products (the water based line since I have OILY skin) my skin got WORSE. I kept looking to see when the acne var would be available again. So in the meantime I got SO many Palmer's products. I now use the Skin Success line: Deep Cleaning Astringent, Complexion Toner, Anti-Acne Medicated Complexion Bar, Anti Dark Spot Complexion Bar, Dark Spot Correcting Facial Cleanser, Anti Dark Spot Fade Cream for Oily skin during the day and the Anti Dark Spot Fade Cream for Night. I even use the Skin Therapy Face Oil and the Moisture Rich Night Cream. I started feeling real relief at the 4 week mark or reincorporating these products. I noticed at the 5 week mark my skin feels so supple and smooth. I'm seeing more overall skin clarity. I still have the dark spots from my acne (I think I need a good facial or two to get rid of that) but no new acne has come! My skin is really coming along again and I will never stray. I just wish Palmer's made a sunblock and eye cream. I still use a Neutragena sun block though. So it's hard to say if any one product helped me since I basically use it all! I even use the Purifying Enzym Mask once a week. The toner and astringent are great for when I go camping and find it difficult to wash my wash. So much dirt comes off!
