We tried all the major acne brands for my 16 year old, without success. We finally had to get her a prescription for pills and retinol from a dermatologist. I did not start out using the product as suggested 2-3x per week just in case I had any reactions such as break outs or sensitivity. I did start about 1x a week by the 3rd-4th week I noticed my face glowing and looking fresher, brighter. I've been using this on hair wash day (once a week, on fridays. I am wearing it right now actually lol) and wow!!! I started to experience adult acne a couple of months ago and this completely cleared it up. This is the only exfoliant I use now. The tingle is kind of aggressive but it feels good. It's not uncomfortable or anything. The smell is pretty nice. I could visibly see a difference after one use, after the second use my acne and texture were SIGNIFICANTLY better. I have incredibly oily skin with open pores and blackheads in my nose. When I feel like my skin is quite clogged or in need of a clear up, I use this mask. It’s a charcoal mask with bits of gritty pieces and blobs of what looks like leaves in there! Obsessed. Completely utterly obsessed with this mask. If you are looking for a mask that will minimize your pores, draw out impurities and give a nice glow to your skin then this is the mask for you. Won’t lie the first time I opened this the look of the mask itself was questionable as it is chunky and has leafs. The smell itself is very earthy, but not bad. I had high hopes for this product. I used it once with the chia oil before, but didn't see much of a difference in my skin. I decided to try it out with just water, as you can, but it left my skin so tight and dry that I experienced burning and redness on the apples of my cheeks immediately. It took nearly a week to get my skin back in its healthy state. I've used a lot of "harsh" products on my skin before, but none have ever left my skin as bad as this. Spoiler alert – I love this mask! I love Cocokind as a brand and had been eyeing this mask for a while, and I’m so glad I picked it up! It is a powder form that you mix with water, facial oil, etc. to create a mask consistency. I usually mix it in the palm of my hand or in the cap. It does smell pretty earthy – almost like matcha – but it doesn’t bother me too much considering I know it’s because the ingredients are so natural. It is *very* green and can get a bit messy, but it wipes right off the counter easily and doesn’t stain. I’ve actually had masks stain my face before too and this doesn’t do that, which is awesome. When I mix this up with water, it kind of dries and tightens on the face, but my skin feels so clean and refreshed afterwards. I’ve also mixed this with marula oil for a more moisturizing feel. Each mask has its own scent that isn't too overpowering. I have a round face with quite a few contours, so it does take a little bit more maneuvering to get the masks to stay and mold onto my face. As I've started getting older I've been trying to be more conscious of taking better care of my skin. Recently I've been getting into face masks, and I got the for my birthday. Now this mask is pretty unique to most others that I have used. It has a built-in spatula to spread the mask on your face, and to help peel it off. When I tried to put this mask on my face though, my skin immediately started turning bright red and burning so I had to rinse it off. This didn't happen to my husband however. When it first comes out, it's sort of pink and creamy. When it dries though, it turns a really pretty iridescent pink color. We put it on his face and left it on for about 15 minutes. It dried pretty quickly. It was easy to put the mask on and remove it with the built-in spatula. After we took the mask off, his skin was very soft and smooth and MUCH brighter than it had been. His skin's texture and skin tone were both much more even as well. This mask definitely did what it's supposed to, but I have to give it 3.5â� because of what it did to MY skin. I really bought this bc I'm trying to find the perfect peel off mask for myself. I want something brightening and it's hard for me to tell usually after one use. So as far as the actual brightening effects of this mask Im unsure. BUT it was soo nice. I loved wearing it and applying was okay. The applicator tip is kind of awkward to use. Good idea but not quite perfect so I used a silicone brush. When I peeled it off my skin looked great. I have oily skin and i didn't notice and oily feeling for the rest of the night! It peeled off in one piece which was great. No messy little pieces to clean up!!Katie
I bought this not being able to resist the words "unicorn" and "peel-off mask." I am always looking for new products to help minimize the appearance of dark spots. I used this once and really liked how bright my skin felt after. I noticed that you do have to put it on a little thick for it to peel off easier. In the spots I applied it thin, it was peeling off in tiny bits which became frustrating. I LOVED the look of the mask. It had an iridescent pink look and smelled like freshly cut grapefruit. When I first applied it, it did burn my skin a little, but that went away. Also, I did have breakouts of that could be why my skin burned. After I removed the mask my skin felt dry but not tight. I will continue using this in hopes it clears up my dark spots, it did make my skin brighter after one use but did NOT lighten the dark spots on my skin. I just wish there was more product for the price. I felt like the tube was a little hard to press down on, but the built in applicator was awesome! This mask is expensive, but it's worth it's hefty price tag. I always keep on hand for when my skin needs is dry, irritated, and needs it. I live in WI so in the dead if the winter when my skin is dry or in the summer when I get a bit too much sun this mask never lets me down. Very hydrating. Stays put on the face. Soothing. I leave it on for about 45 minutes and I keep the package it comes in because there is always enough serum in there left for a few days for my face, hands, and neck. This is a great mask for tired, dry skin. I like to use it before a big event especially if I didn't get good sleep and am feeling dry. The mask fits snug, which is huge for me because it needs to stay on for close to 30 minutes to get results. It feels cool on and is really saturated with serum. I usually have spare serum from the package to pat onto my neck and chest. The results-hydrated, plumper skin and a smoother texture. I live in Vegas so its very very dry out here. keeping my skin moiaturized in this atmosphere is a challenge. The problem is I end up becoming too oily with certain moisturizing products. This mask is fantastic for a moisture boost. I like to do it before bed because your akin will suck it up better while you sleep. In addition the directions tell you to take the excess left in the envelope and have you place it all over your face after youve already had your face suck up all that wonderful product in the mask. They clearly state this product has way more extract in it then a 30ml of the genifique serum! The amount left in the envelope is enough to fill a 7ml sample bottle! so if you buy a 4 pack like I do thats 28ml of highly concentrated genifique serum from a $55 pack! Im sure I dont have to tell you the cost of a 30ml bottle of genifique serum. Just sayin…..food for thought. My skin is really bad at present, i have had many blackheads and it looks so dark and glum. My first time use I was like "yes! this stuff is bomb"… The product has Kaolin in it, which is a great ingredient for face masks BUT this product turned out to be a waste IMO. It claims to do a few things. – deep clean – tighten pores/reduce size – brighten complexion – give an even skin tone – mattify your skin – soothe blemishes – all while claiming to basically be for all skin types. For me personally it did brighten my complexion and mattify my skin because I do have oily skin, so it helped in that area. But for all others, it did not deep clean my face. Did not tighten or reduce pore size. Did not give an even skin tone. I do not really have blemishes so cannot say if it soothes them or not. It does burn when you apply it so if you have sensitive skin be cautious. The product does not have a long shelf life, dried up in the jar in less than two months🤦🏻♀️ Do I think this tiny jar is worth the price it sells for?? Absolutely not. On my first purchase, there was an unknown object (something like a piece of sawdust) stuffed in one of my cotton pad. So I contacted Sephora customer service, providing pictures and video as proof. At first, she proposed to give me either a refund or exchange to settle it. But after few email conversations, the customer service representative replied this is not part of their responsibility for the defect. No reimbursement will be made and they will only refund upon receive the defect item and I have to bear the shipping fee, sending it back to them. Duh….She also proposed me to remove that piece of unknown object and continue using the rest of it which is quite hilarious to me. It is unacceptable because it is not a cheap product. These pads have changed my life. I know that's dramatic but it's true! My cousin introduced me to them several years ago and they immediately became a "holy grail" product for me. The smooth across easily, are easy on sensitive skin, and you can feel the product applying and working. My complexion is nearly flawless when I use these. This is the best fitting sheet facial I've used. It is strong enough not to tear. It goes on and has adjustable spots for you to make it custom to your face shape. I like how because of the sugar crystals, you can use this as a mask and scrub. The sugar crystals are quite big and so I am gentle when using this product on my face. I think this would be a great option to use as a body scrub! I prefer to use this as a scrub rather than a mask and I don’t think you can rely on this as a cleansing balm. Overall, this leaves my face feeling smooth and moisturised. I think that dry skin types would like this product more and it can be too harsh for sensitive skin.anna.w
