    I have been using swimmers ear drops for most of my 75 year life, as I grew up surfing, and was in training for the Olympics until my family ran out of money. The Fougera brand was the first on the market, so I used it for most of the time. I also competed in the Marine Corps. I was always getting ear infections, as sometimes I spent all day in the water. They all contain 95% Isopropyl alcohol which is why you should NEVER keep it in your ear canal for an extended period of time. Tilt your head, add a few drops, grab your ear lob, pull it in and out a few times, tilt your head the other way to drain out the liquid with the aid of a towel. This is the proper way to do it.     It's never fun having water in your ears that just won't come out. It gets painful, it's uncomfortable and just overall a bad time. The Debrox Swimmer's Ear Relief Ear Drying Drops eliminates that discomfort in a minimal amount of time. There are a lot of kids that hang out at my house and this summer they spent a lot of time in the pool. I wish I had thought to get these drops then because it would have saved me from a lot of uncomfortable waterlogged kid whining. Four or five drops in the affected ear and in no time it dries up the drops. I would be careful however if you know you have any kind of damage to your inner ear because the main ingredient is isopropyl alcohol and that would definitely hurt. Otherwise, use away!     I bought this product for a family vacation of 49 people staying on a houseboat. We had 33 kids on the boat. When my 16 year old niece got pain in her ear from water, we pulled out the drops and put some in her ear. Immediately she started screaming out in pain and dropped to the floor.     First of all, it smells like alcohol because it is alcohol. Well, 95% of it is. If you've never applied this type of product to your ear let me prepare you, it feels like cold water slowly dripping into your ear and making a puddle. It does work however and is great to have around after swimming or even after showering. The package comes with a bottle and an applicator cap which I don't understand why the applicator couldn't already be attached to the bottle.     This product smells good and it helped with my dog's ear. He's had extra cerumen in his ear for months. I kept cleaning the ear and asked the vet about it several times. They always ended up giving me some cleansing product that wouln't work. I was so tired of this because I knew something was off with my dog's ear. I didn't know what to try next when I remembered about that bottle I had bought for myself and never even used. I have a shihtzu so the first time I put 1 drop in his ear to try it out. I did that twice a week the first week, then I put 2 drops twice a week and the third week I did it just once. I had not cleansed his hear for a week and when I did today there was no cerumen.     I have been using swimmers ear drops for most of my 75 year life, as I grew up surfing, and was in training for the Olympics until my family ran out of money. The Fougera brand was the first on the market, so I used it for most of the time. I also competed in the Marine Corps. I was always getting ear infections, as sometimes I spent all day in the water. They all contain 95% Isopropyl alcohol which is why you should NEVER keep it in your ear canal for an extended period of time.
