By day 3 of using the foaming lotion to style my baby hair i had some irritation in my forehead but it wasn’t too bad. I’ve tried so many different gels, mousses, creams, oils, to enhance my poor little damaged waves and I always come back to this. My hair started getting wavier in my teens but I just didn’t take care of my hair very much so my little waves were not flourishing as they could’ve. This product definitely helped enhance them while nourishing them to lock in my conditioner. My hair is slowly graduating from very damaged 2a to relatively damaged 2b hair! I love this product. It locks in your conditioner and adds that moisture you need while sealing up your waves. I like to put a little conditioner on my hair while it’s still really wet from the shower, then comb through my hair with a brush (if I use my fingers like I’m supposed to then the top of my hair at the roots gets really wonky so I have to use a wider wet brush to get some of it normal) then I put this stuff in and I scrunch it up and put it in my little hair towel and I’m done! I have fine, low-density 2C-3A curls and generally follow CGM, but I wanted to try a new mousse because it's still not spring and I'm super bored! I wish I'd looked at the ingredients more closely before buying this mousse, though, because it contains propane, which honestly just freaks me out. I still tried it because I spent money on it, but I wasn't super impressed. The mousse is ***VERY*** thick, so I mixed very small amounts with water before scrunching it into my hair. After diffusing and scrunching out the crunch, my curls were actually very well-defined and had good volume, but even though I used VERY little – an amount that was maybe the size of a plum for my entire head of hair (falls between jawline and shoulder) – my roots felt extremely gummy and gross. I know it's the mousse because the only other product I used was the ultra-light leave-in I've been using for years. I can't imagine being able to use much less product, though, just because of how the mousse comes out of the can. So overall, it does define curls, it may leave a gummy residue (my hair may really be just too fine), and it contains scary ingredients. The scent is also pleasant, but very strong and appears to last (I did my hair hours ago and I still smell like coconut). I purchased this product at Walgreens. I have very thick and frizzy hair that is almost impossible to manage. I was looking for something that would allow me to look nice while wearing my hair down. This mousse works very well in doing that. My curls lasted for a long period of time. I even slept with my hair down and they still looked good. This product did a great job at preventing frizz in my hair as well. My only issue with this product is that it made my hair look darker or slightly wet the entire time it was in my hair. My hair is fine and thin. I use a cream hair gel and mousse to tame my curls, so I have quite a bit of product to wash out after 2 days of not washing. That's the longest I can go without shampooing, even though they say longer is best. I typically lose quite a bit of hair when I shampoo for some reason. My typical routine between shampoos is to rinse my hair with water as best as I can then use a regular conditioner to ease out the tangles. When I am going to use a mousse, I always have some expectation of a certain “feeling” in terms of the texture of my hair. The reviews that state that it is difficult to run your fingers through are true… it is… but it feels more like strong hold hair spray. In areas I put too much, it is stiffer but if I did it lightly and directly on my roots, it does not feel that way. I have fine hair for reference. Now the important part and the reason I purchased the product…volume. I have SO MUCH volume. Even when I flatten my hair and then try to “fluff” it up again, it’s so voluminous.

I'm really tired of mousse that are too strong or sticky. This mousse is GREAT and no sticky feel. It really does a great job giving my hair lift. I have layered, color treated shoulder length hair. Sometimes I style it straight, sometimes in a natural wave. This works well either way. And did I say, no sticky feel??!Mature and still wearing makeup!

I've been really loving this mouse! I air dry my hair all the time and I feel like there is a gap in the market for products formulated for air dry styles. Most hair products are intended for use with heat styling and leave something to be desired for air dry fans. I will typically braid my hair when it is wet and let it air dry for effortless loose waves. This mouse really helped to lock in the waves without leaving my hair feeling crunchy, sticky or heavy. My hair feels soft and the waves last for days. It smells awesome and despite rain and humidity my hair is frizz free. This product was sent to me for free by Influenster for testing purposes and while I have already finished the campaign and reviewed this product on Loreal's website, I felt the need to review it here too because I am still using it every single day. I used to be a huge fan of mousse back in my middle and high school years but as an adult I pretty much stopped using it all together, until this product was sent to me. I've been using it every day for the last 3 weeks to a month and I still have SO much product in the can (and my hair is long and thick). I find that this mousse gives my hair the perfect hold and enhances my natural curls beautifully. The Mielle Babassu Brazilian Curly Cocktail Curl Cream and Curl Mousse that I received has an awful smell. They have a loud musty scent with a hint of citrus. The products work well, but the awful smell is overwhelming and it lingers (my freshly washed hair smells musty after using this cocktail). I’m not certain if this is a bad batch or if this is how it smells (I have nothing to compare it with) due to buying it online. All I know is the scent is unbearable and it can’t be masked. I followed up with the Mielle Mint Almond Oil which has a Nice mint scent, but the mint almond oil could not overpower the musty scent from the Mielle Babassu Brazilian Curly Cocktail Curl Cream and Curl Mousse. Finally, after several products and much money, I’ve found a product that I like. I cut my long hair off at the beginning of 2021, and I intend to keep it short(ish). I have 3B/3C, wavy, low porosity hair. I do love a mousse for me wash and go, and this product adds a good deal of moisture without the “crunchy” feeling or cast from the hold. I absolutely love the results of using this product. I ordered this along with the Brazilian curling mousse. The product kept my curls soft and bouncy, but the smell is very offensive in my opinion. I hate the scent. It’s a cross between a citrus scent and menthol. My hubby hates the scent as well. I’m going to try to concoct a method that fixes this issue, but it’s possible I may be throwing the product away. I just can’t tolerate the smell. This product had good hold but I am dissatisfied with how quickly it went flat. I used as directed but the bottle has at least 90% of contents left and no longer expands into a foam when dispensed. Everything about the packaging is great except I do find it hard to only get small bit into your hand. This could be a good and bad thing depending on how you use the product but when I use it I do have to waste some product because so much comes out. The results left my hair very voluminous. I had a huge difference in my hair, which was great. It lasted a while which was even better. The only downfall is it did leave my hair feeling greasy, if I would run my hands through my hair, my hands would feel oily with the residual product on them. My hair did also begin to look oily towards the end of the day (this was freshly cleaned hair and my hair normally doesnt get oily until I sleep on it for a night). But I did overall love the lift result and someone elses hair may absorb it way differently than mine and may not actually leave any residual product. I usually like this product as it gets my hair nicely loose and volumed for blowdrying, and so I ordered 2 bottles online. One of them is fine but the other doesn’t foam up when pumped – it comes out as liquid mush. Returning is too much of a hassle – who has time for that for a $13 product. I have used the extra hold version of this mousse for years and years. This is not a strong enough hold for my frizzy hair, and it doesn't hold if you have really curly hair. I need a stronger hold, but the sunscreen is very effective. I only use this if the store is out of my usual brand.

This product changes everything! I use some leave in conditioning spray (Loma) then spritz this on top, brush and dry my hair. It dramatically cuts down on drying time and reduces frizz. Then I use a bit more in layers as I straighten and WOW my hair looks and feels amazing! It gives it enough oomph so that its not stringy straight, feels like silk, and lasts for days! This is the worst hair product I’ve ever purchased. I followed the directions and dispensed a golf-ball size amount of this product into my damp hair and “scrunched scrunched” this morning. I couldn’t believe how sticky and slimy this mousse felt in my hands. It seriously felt like I was applying melted gum or home-made slime to my hair. I thought maybe it would “water down” a little since I applied it to my hair damp, but it never did. I was in a hurry to go to work and my hair didn’t look good, so I ended up putting my hair in a ponytail. When I got home I noticed what looked like a tangled rats nest in my ponytail. To be quite honest, I’m writing this review as I’m waiting for my hair to to dry from repeatedly shampooing my hair to be rid of this product. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I was picking off small clumps of hair that broke off from getting so tangled by this mousse (even after using a handful of conditioner to try to loosen up the tangles) in my shower. I’m curious to see if my hair will return back to normal. If it doesn’t, I’m thinking I may have to do an apple-cider vinegar wash. I was hesitant to try this because of the mixed reviews but I'm glad I did! First off, it does NOT turn into a gel like a previous reviewer said… it is definitely a mousse. My hair is down to my armpits and is slightly wavy when left on its own. My hair is fine but i have a lot of it. How I use: Use Moroccanoil Hydrating Sh. & Co. – gently squeeze out excess water with hands and then with a microfiber towel – apply Moroccanoil Treatment and then comb – apply a small amount (they suggest golf ball size and it seems about right for me) smooth and rake through hair – scrunch hair with hands – scrunch out any remaining water with microfiber towel – air dry and DO NOT TOUCH! Once it is dry I scrunch and shake to break apart the crunchiness and I'm left with EXTREMELY shiny, smooth, and soft beachy waves! It does give hair texture but not so much that I don't want to use it like other products. My ultimate hair goal is soft, shiny, and smooth – this product delivers. I alternate with the curl defining cream (same method).
Works amazingly when used right-your hair must be wet (not damp) and use a very small amount. Work the product from the crown of your head forward-this way you can ensure the product is evenly distributed through your hair. If you work it from the forehead back, you’ll end up with way too much product in the front of your head and not enough in the back. I have a pixie haircut & have used this product for several years-I always get compliments on my hair. Use a hairdryer on medium heat & make sure hair is completely dry. If you use it right, you get hair that holds style, use too much or let it air dry & you will not be happy with the results. This is a great foam for wet wraps. I have relaxed hair and I’m a bit of a novice doing my hair on my own. I purchased this to wet wrap and dry under a hood dryer. It left my hair soft and moisturized. Some foams leave hair crunchy but this foam is reasonably priced with great ingredients. My hair looked like it was professionally done afterward.KM mom
I bought thus product to use to style my lace wig. It helped style my wig perfectly upon install. By day 3 of using the foaming lotion to style my baby hair i had some irritation in my forehead but it wasn’t too bad. I took a break for a few days from using it or styling my wig & when I used it again it started to severely burn my forehead. I wiped the product off & did continued use. I took my wig off 2 days later and had a chemical burn across my entire forehead. It burned so bad & took a while to clear up. My skin is far from sensitive so I know that wasn’t the issue.
